Ideas that would Keep apple above competitions ?

I have some ideas that I would like to share to keep apple always in the comfort zone above any threat from samsung or microsoft?
What if apple invest their great revenue to launch satellite system. Any iphone will be connected to this system no matter your carrier is. of course this would not be profitable in your home land but think about travelling abroad?
You can use their service outside your country, you will be connected no matter where you are and you will have a fixed price for phone calls. Any iphone will come with this service, all what you do is to open the app , choose a package and pay by your visa in the apple store.
This will be exclusive service that every iphone will have.
This will make you not only buy a smart phone but a phone that is reliable that you can not do without it.

I believe that apple will have a different start than Globalstar. Simply, because globalstar introduces a service that might not be needed for majority of people.It is an option that you will take or leave. Apple should invest more in the beginning, but the number of travellers who own an iphone will make it enough to survive.
For apple this is a different story, it come with every phone.
Iphone is still standing in the competition because of 3 things : the apple store , phone security and its elegant design. Android is evolving, security is enhancing and phone design can be changed. Apple is ahead above now but everyone is catching up with the competition and market is splitted.
Apple needs a new big thing.

Is there a bug that would keep Adobe Reader from being functional in Safari 7.0.1?

Back up all data.

The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Does Apple Pay for Ideas That Makes Their Products Better

I have been a PC systems engineer for eons, and have in the past few years moved to the Apple realm, Love it.
I have had a few patents under my belt, that I have sold in the past, and also have gotten paid to help companies make their products better.
I have an SUPER! idea to make an Apple product much better, that I feel will be welcomed by 100% of it users. Yes, 100%.
Any idea where to start with Apple. I have a few kids that still eat and go to school, and I paid dearly for my education. I feel that I should get paid for this, if they were to use it.

I do understand your desire to obtain rewards for the work you do, but frankly, if your ideas pertain to the improvement of Apple's products through their system software or hardware, it's best for them to do it all anyway since for your ideas to work, they'll have to make implementations of them within their product development ecosystem. If Apple implement your ideas up-front, they have much more incentive to maintain the work afterwards, because it will become a part of their products.
However, if you have ideas that you can implement above the programming APIs of their system software, then I'd think it'd be better to implement your ideas yourself, and sell them as products at the App Store (or however way you wish to distribute and sell your ideas as products).
And you can control the use of your ideas much more wisely (by copyright, patent, implementation, whatever) as actual products that implement your ideas rather than just leaving vapour-trails of your thoughts.
Good luck in your endeavours! I can see that Apple do have ways for programmers to be successful (through the Developer Connection in particular), however, your first step into that world will have to involve registering as a developer and making a product for yourself which you can sell (Apple would gladly help you sell your products on the App Store) rather than as merely a contribution that influences or affects Apple's own product developments. Idea for channel subscription program that would benefit MILLIONS of Verizon subscribers

Hello, Since Verizon is moving towards allowing customers to create their own TV packages to compete with streaming services, I have an idea that would certainly please millions of users. If I want to subscribe to HBO or the French channel, for example, all I have to do is press a button on my remote. However, if I want to cancel these channels, this necessitates a phone call to customer service. The benefit of streaming services is that we can't watch everything at once, so why pay to subscribe to 10 channels, when you can't possibly watch them all within the same month. I think that each time you subscribe to a channel (be it Showtime or the Russian language package), you should be charged a one-month minimum fee. You can cancel the subscription (online or using your remote) at any time, but you still pay for at least one full month. That way, I, for example, can subscribe to the French channel, watch it for a month, then cancel, then subscribe to the Portuguese and German channels, watch them for a month, then cancel, then sign up for Cinemax, watch it for three months... Each network is still getting the benefit of a full month's subscription, plus people would be more willing to sign up (and try out) more channel options if they know that their minimum commitment is only one month. If you haven't guessed by now, I like to watch TV in multiple languages, but I can't sign up for all the channels at once because 1) it's too expensive and 2) I can't watch all these channels in a month. I'm sure other people would sign up for a movie channel package to catch up on their favorite shows (I think people do this anyway with Game of Thrones, etc.) or a sports package until the season is over, etc. In other words, by making it easier for people to cancel channel/specialty package subscriptions online or using the remote (with the understanding that there is a minimum of one month), more people would subscribe to these channels - and some would keep them for several months. With the addition of streaming TV, DVR programming, etc. there is just too much TV available and we can't watch everything, so fewer people sign up for pay-for-view packages. This model would give people more control over how they watch TV. True there would be a lot of turning channels on and off (I, for example, would probably do this frequently). However, there would also be a huge increase in revenue from these channels, even if people cancel after one-month (then the onus is on the network to provide quality programming to retain the customer). Where are you physically located?
What country's Store are you using?
The two have to be the same and the payment method for your account also has to be associated (billing address, where iTunes gift card was purchased) with that country.
Has the ID(s) worked before for purchases for this country's store?

Note that, as it says in those articles:
iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your My Music folder by default and are not deleted by removing iTunes. While it is highly unlikely that you will lose any contents of your iTunes Library when following these steps, it is always a good idea to ensure that your iTunes library is backed up. If you're unsure how to backup, see iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive.

Since you have purchased a new Mac (which, BTW, is not typed in all capitals) why not buy a Time Capsule <http://www.apple.com/airport-time-capsule/> which is designed specifically to work with OS X and Time Machine?
You don't say what part of your Sony "crashed." If it was not the HDD it is possible to take the computer apart, put the HDD in an external case, then recover the data off of it (including the music) simply drag-n-drop. If it was the HDD that "crashed" that makes it more difficult.
If you are able to recover the music from the Sony you can then add it to the iTunes library on the Mac and iTunes Match will then scan, match and upload the tracks to be mirrored in the cloud.

OK, I think I understand what's happening.
Movies are now stored in iCloud: see http://www.apple.com/itunes/inside-itunes/2012/03/movies-now-available-on-icloud .html
So they may take a while to download to your Mac. Movies are big, after all.
I believe you can guarantee the movie stays on your Mac by going to Preferences (in the iTunes menu at the top), and going to the "Advanced" tab, and checking "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library".

It should do but nobody can guarantee it 100%.
The best thing is to download the trial version and install that. When you install it, it should take a copy of your current catalog and then convert that copy to the new format. Your Photoshop Elements 9 should not be affected.
It is always a good idea to ensure that you have a backup of your catalog & photos when you start a major update like this. Take a backup using the Elements Backup to Hard drive option (under File menu) - best backed up to an external drive.
It is ok to have both version installed on your system but I suggest that you just use the version 12 to check out the catalog conversion to start with. If you are happy with that, you can always run the conversion at a later stage if you have updated the version 9 catalog. You can not convert the version 12 catalog back to a version 9 catalog.

There is not "fix" to be provided, Apple made a decision to not include the file sharing profile.
You are welcome to provide feedback, but after six years, I would not hold your breath.

Hi, Firefox on my desktop keeps crashing at just random moments. Sometimes not very often at all, but other times it can happen a few times within an hour.
My Desktop Window Manager also crashes regularly and the dialogue box always pops up saying its stopped working. However, this doesn't seem to effect anything.
It could be realated though, as I just had this desktop built a few weeks ago and a few times it's crashed as well as programs.
If anyone can help me fix this issue with Firefox, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

I updated the Flash plugin, but I still keep getting crashes.
I will try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player as you recommended and hopefully this will work.

You can't use family sharing or multiple Apple IDs with iTunes match.
ITunes match is only attached to Apple id that you used to subscribe.
