Formatted Text is a text field that is not fillable by a form filler. It is meant to contain text that the form designer wishes to use to convey some information (instructions for example). A text field is an input field that can be configured accept text, number, percent, email, currency or a date.

OK, I guess a spreadsheet (Appleworks) with rows and columns is now called a table and what is now called a spreadsheet is a whole new thing, kind of like a blank counter top on which to put tables and charts and such? I wish they would connect up new language with old instead of just starting out as if history never existed.

Make up a table formated to use Geneva 12. Add top, side or bottom headers, 1,2,3 or none at all. You can grab a ready made table from the toolbar Table drop down if you prefer. Use one of the set Styles on the side bar for colour or set your own. The inspector has most of what you need.
Name it then save as 'template'.
Go to Numbers > General preferences > For New Documents set 'Use template: Blank' then 'Choose' your own. You can of course make as many as you like.
Have fun with it.

Rosettanet--document protocol identification error

Hi guys,
i am trying inbound operation using oracle Rosettanet standard(3a4) i have taken PO request XSD and Input XML from Oracle sample Rosettanet-004 i am getting document protocol identification error i have changed the GlobalBusinessIdentifier value for buyer and seller according to my duns values. Still any values i have to change?

If you know the shipment date you can mention shipment date as either doc date or posting date, I guess in maximum scenarios no body knows exact shipment date.
so you can create " L/C 90 days from shipment date", this is only for identification purpose. system wont calculate anything.

Displayment of terms of payment

I need to create different terms of payment but I have a problem.
If I create the same term of payment with two different limit days when I display the list where appear all the terms of payment, the system duplicate each term.
I want to see each term of payment only once, how can I do it?

Adding to the above, if you would like to see the terms of payment with some identification you can have your own narration in the sales text filed of payment terms.
For example two terms of payment
0002 and Z002 are to be created and identified separately with narration as per the day limits:
for 0002--sales text field you can enter PT 0002-Day limit 10.
Z002-PT 0002 -Day limit 15.(with this kind of narration in sales text you can relate both PT)
Codes for payment terms need to be created separately as Ashok narrated above.

Digital Publishing Suite: many are confused by the term

Call me pedantic but I know that many people are confused by the term Digital Publishing Suite. This name describes an extension to InDesign CS5.5/CS5 that provides a set of authoring tools but it also identifies a completely separate subscription service that Adobe runs to hosts Apps. A distinction should be made between these two.
Also in this forum it would be useful to flag items that only pertain to subscribers. Bob’s announcement today that Viewer Builder 1.5 is available stated For DPS Subscribers Only which is useful, but often in threads it is not clear whether comments refer to those with a subscription or those without.
Also I urge Adobe to include a Feature Requests section on this Forum (like the prerelease) in order for Adobe to keep in touch with the needs of “real” users.

The DPS name covers the full range of applications and services as they are all intrinsically linked. The InDesign Folio Builder and overlay creator tools, are used to produce folios to be uploaded to Acrobat.com. The Folio Editor tools available through digitalpublishing.acrobat.com allow the user to reorganise these same folios, add and edit the metadata and, if they are a subscriber, publish these folios to the fulfillment server so that they can be download to the iPad/Android tablet/Playbook. The viewer builder exists for subscribers to create the iOS or Android apps their customers will use to download the folios from the fulfillment server.
I agree with you and Bob on the other points however, there does seem to be a lot of confusion about which elements are available with a standard Adobe ID and which require a subscription.
While we don't have a requests forum, we do have the [email protected] alias, which users can email to make us aware of issues, requests and obviously feedback.

Long-term planning: planning details of work center capacity

Hi,
we need to know what is the effect on planned production orders (generated by MPS, transaction MD40) of the flag “long-term planning” in planning details of work center capacity (table name: RC68K; field name: KAPLPL). We made a test analyzing planned orders scheduling details in Stock requirements list (MD04) and in the Planning table (CM21) in both cases: with "long-term planning" flag set and without this flag for the same work center.
The schedule of planned production order on that work center is the same in the two instance.
Could you suggest us something?

9.5. Guideline: How to Find Conceptual Classes?
Since a domain model shows conceptual classes, a central question is: How do I find them?
What are Three Strategies to Find Conceptual Classes?
Reuse or modify existing models. This is the first, best, and usually easiest approach, and where I will start if I can. There are published, well-crafted domain models and data models (which can be modified into domain models) for many common domains, such as inventory, finance, health, and so forth. Example books that I'll turn to include Analysis Patterns by Martin Fowler, Data Model Patterns by David Hay, and the Data Model Resource Book (volumes 1 and 2) by Len Silverston.
Use a category list.
Identify noun phrases.
Reusing existing models is excellent, but outside our scope. The second method, using a category list, is also useful.
Method 2: Use a Category List
We can kick-start the creation of a domain model by making a list of candidate conceptual classes. Table 9.1 contains many common categories that are usually worth considering, with an emphasis on business information system needs. The guidelines also suggest some priorities in the analysis. Examples are drawn from the 1) POS, 2) Monopoly, and 3) airline reservation domains.

Method 3: Finding Conceptual Classes with Noun Phrase Identification
Another useful technique (because of its simplicity) suggested in [Abbot83] is linguistic analysis: Identify the nouns and noun phrases in textual descriptions of a domain, and consider them as candidate conceptual classes or attributes.[5]
[5] Linguistic analysis has become more sophisticated; it also goes by the name natural language modeling. See [Moreno97] for example.
Guideline
Care must be applied with this method; a mechanical noun-to-class mapping isn't possible, and words in natural languages are ambiguous.
Nevertheless, linguistic analysis is another source of inspiration. The fully dressed use cases are an excellent description to draw from for this analysis. For example, the current scenario of the Process Sale use case can be used.
Main Success Scenario (or Basic Flow):
Customer arrives at a POS checkout with goods and/or services to purchase.
Cashier starts a new sale.
Cashier enters item identifier.
System records sale line item and presents item description, price, and running total. Price calculated from a set of price rules.
Cashier repeats steps 2-3 until indicates done.
System presents total with taxes calculated.
Cashier tells Customer the total, and asks for payment.
Customer pays and System handles payment.
System logs the completed sale and sends sale and payment information to the external Accounting (for accounting and commissions) and Inventory systems (to update inventory).
System presents receipt.
Customer leaves with receipt and goods (if any).
Extensions (or Alternative Flows):
7a. Paying by cash:
Cashier enters the cash amount tendered.
System presents the balance due, and releases the cash drawer.
Cashier deposits cash tendered and returns balance in cash to Customer.

The domain model is a visualization of noteworthy domain concepts and vocabulary. Where are those terms found? Some are in the use cases. Others are in other documents, or the minds of experts. In any event, use cases are one rich source to mine for noun phrase identification.
Some of these noun phrases are candidate conceptual classes, some may refer to conceptual classes that are ignored in this iteration (for example, "Accounting" and "commissions"), and some may be simply attributes of conceptual classes. See p. 160 for advice on distinguishing between the two.

Payment Terms configuration

Dear Friends,
I have 2 queries -
1. Can we configured the Payment Terms which will enable while invoicing to create the multiple line item while Invoice Posting ( accounting entry ) say, while doing MIRO / FB60 transaction. And one of those would go to Special GL. e.g. we have to deduct the Retention Money @ 5% from Invoice Amount and we are using one of Special GL for Retention money so can i configure the Payment Term as -
1. 95% -
60 Days
2. 5% -
365 Days
So here 2 ( 5% ) will be posted as Special GL item while Invoice Entry.
( Currently we are transferring those entries to special gl manually using T code - F-02 from Vendor Open items )
2. We have configured the number of Payment Terms but sometimes negotiated Terms does fall into the category of existing Payment Terms and it is not possible to create the Payment Terms for such requirement. So can we configure one Payment Term which will be editable while Purchase ORder Creation or Invoicing ( like payment term with "OTHERS" would be created and initially it would be configured for 0 Days and those would be edited while making Purchase Order as per requirement.
Since this is affecting our Ageing Analysis and Payment Due Report as both are based on Payment Terms in PO.
If anyone has solution pls suggest the way to do it . will assign full marks if gets solution.

I think we can't maintain cash discounts more than two %.
Goto OBB8, choose account type customer/vendor.
goto payment terms segment. 1) 3% days 0 2) 2% days 15.
3) we can enter %, only days. it means no cash discount.

I just made an new Itunes account and cannot get past the accepting terms and conditons page to use the Itunes store how can i finish and redeem my code

I cannot use Itunes store to redeem my gift card because it says that my apple id has not been used in the Itunes store yet. When I click review i then clicked continue and everytime that I agree to the terms and policies on the second page it just sends me back to the top of the page and doesnt allow me to go any farther in the itunes store process any idea of how to get this to work?

How can I repeat a for loop, once it's terms has been fulfilled???

Well.. I've posted 2 different exceptions about this game today, but I managed to fix them all by myself, but now I'm facing another problem, which is NOT an error, but just a regular question.. HOW CAN I REPEAT A FOR LOOP ONCE IT HAS FULFILLED IT'S TERMS OF RUNNING?!
I've been trying many different things, AND, the 'continue' statement too, and I honestly think that what it takes IS a continue statement, BUT I don't know how to use it so that it does what I want it too.. -.-'

Credit Memo - Terms of Payment Default

My earlier post received no response, so I am posting again,
In MIRO if I create a credit Memo, payment terms default from PO. (not from vendor master) I do not know if was configured that way. How can I find out ?
I do not want payment terms to default from any thing, neither PO nor vendor master.
It should fall due immediately say based on base line date, which is posting date in our case.
How can I do this ?

Getting split payment terms in case of customer credit memo(Doc type DG)

Is there any FM available for getting split payment terms in case of customer credit memo(Document type DG). There will be no invoice/billing doc for this document type and will be created from FB75 transaction. For billing document i am using FM SD_PRINT_TERMS_OF_PAYMENT_SPLI. Please let me know if there is any FM for accounting document also.
