Identification of version #'s

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to identify a product's version number by Serial Number? I know for a fact for linksys/CISCO to be an accredited ISO company, this info must be easily available.. but live chat and actual phone contact with customer service both tell me that there is absolutely no way to do this.... plus the fact, I can never connect with a representative in the US who can understand what I am asking without repeaating it 3 or 4 times!!! Someone please help!!!!
I am looking for info on a WRT54G with s/n CDFB0F329723

Well, the version number is printed on the router with the serial number, thus it should not be too hard to find it.
Otherwise, check wikipedia on WRT54G here. It tells you that the CDFB is a v5 router. The dd-wrt wiki may have something similar.

  • Product identification, CS6 Version 13

I am "upgrading" from a PC to a Mac.  I am transferring my CS6 to the Mac and was given a product download code for CS6 version 13.  The Adobe helper kept telling me to click on the "full" version.  I didn't see anything refering to a full version.  Do you know if version 13 is the CC version or is it the straight CS6 version?

I put upgrading in quotations because I am not so sure it is an upgrade to go from PC to Mac, especially given all of the difficulty I am having getting the platform transferred over.  I appreciate the input about version 13 and see that you are correct.  Adobe is sending me a disc with the software on it.  I was trying to download it from the internet so I could get going with my new computer and photoshop.  However, every time I click on CS6 to download up comes CC.  CC seems to be an extended version of CS6 so I am hessitant to download it.  I was given the serial number to input re the program I ordered.  Not sure what to do at this point other than wait for Fed Ex to deliver disc to me next week. Any sugggestions?
Further question:  I downloaded and installed Lightroom 5.  I am on Mac Book Pro 4.  How do I activate the program?  Every time I double click on the Lightroom icon the installation dialogue comes up.  I read that I was to go to the download center, but I have no idea how to find it.  Help!

  • Identification of versions for XP

Among 4 PCs and a Laptop, on one PC I have Win XP SP3, running on a 1.25 ghz Athlon, with 1.2 gb RAM, and when I try to use Flash it tells me to upgrade to the 'latest' version, but when I do so it fails, as it seems to want a faster processor.  There is no indication of which version WILL work.  Not very helpful, and the Website is a dreadful muddle.
Having recently retired from the software industry, I am apalled that a company as BIG as Adobe should have such a BAD website it is confusing and unhelpful.

Flash Player 10.3.183.90, I believe is the last version that'll work with a "buck and a quarter" Athlon. It's a shame, because that's way more than enough processor for XP, especially with a gig of RAM.

  • How can I return to earlier version of Edge animate?

Since upgrading to Edge Animate 3 CC, I have not been able to work on my project. Is there a way to go back to an earlier version?
I uninstalled and installed an earlier version, but the file will not open, because it says that it was created in a newer version of Edge. Is there a way around this? Can I change something on the files in edge code that will identify the file as being from the earlier version?
I have been able to get any work done on this project since the beginning of Feb.

I was able to download Edge Animate CC 2.0 by logging onto my paid cloud account. Then I opened the edge.js file in Edge code and replaced the part where it identifies the version with...
    version: "2.0.1",
       minimumCompatibleVersion: "2.0.0",
       build: "2.0.1.268"
I had to do this once for the main stage and once for each symbol.
There is a drop down that only shows if you're logged into a paid cloud account, and you can choose to download the older version. It is installed to a new folder, so you can still run the newer version as well.

You need to reset your user agent string (identifies the version of Firefox), yours has been modified by the megaupload add-on. For details of how to do do that see this link - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Websites+or+add-ons+incorrectly+report+incompatible+browser

  • I downloaded 4.0.1 to my PC desktop, so why is it still telling me my current version--4.0--is outdated?

The download is completed. Do I need to do something else for it to take effect?

Your user agent string (identifies the browser version) is reporting that you have Firefox 3.5.19 and not 4.0.1
A quick check to confirm what version you have, if the bookmarks menu has an item called "Organize bookmarks" you will be using Firefox 3.5.19, if it has an item called "Show All Bookmarks" you will have Firefox 4
If you have Firefox 4, you need to reset your user agent string so that it correctly identifies the version of Firefox.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Locate the preference '''general.useragent.override''', right-click on it and select '''Reset''', this will set the user agent string back to the default in Firefox 4
There are other user agent string settings that may have been modified, but these are no longer used in Firefox 4. You can reset them if you want, for details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Websites+or+add-ons+incorrectly+report+incompatible+browser

  • When ARD does not know Mac OS X version of machine, how to search?

I have about 40 servers I am trying to administer with ARD. A bit more than a half dozen are 10.4, a few more than a half dozen and 10.5 and about a dozen are 10.6. And a bunch are listed in ARD as "-" in the "Mac OS Version" column.
I can create a smart list to track the Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard machines. How do I create a smart list to track the others?
It would be easier if I could have the Tiger list be all machines with version matching "10.4.*", but I cannot seem to put a wildcard character there. But if I could, I could use (not Tiger and not Leopard and not SnowLeopard). Is there a reason why both (version < 10.4) and (version > 10.6) return nothing. Either the null should sort high or sort low, but it seems to be neither. Any suggestions?

I think the problem is slightly more than that. I noticed something. Some of our servers have 2 ethernet cards and, in some cases, we access the machine via different names. So, for example, host1 and host2 point to different IP addresses but are the same machine. What I am noticing is that host1 (arbitrarily chosen) correctly identifies the version, but host2 does not.
Yet, you can see the output below. Looks the same to me.
    % ssh admin@host1 system_profiler SPSoftwareDataType

  • Just upgraded to (downloaded) 4.0.1but note pops up saying my version (old version) is not protected against online attacks - new version not showing up when Firefox opened

When I opened Firefox this morning a note popped up saying my version needs to be upgraded to 4.0.1. I downloaded this version but every time I open Firefox the note still pops up. Version 4.0.1 did download. Why is it not opening with that version?

Your user agent string (identifies the browser version) is reporting that you have Firefox 3.5.4 and not 4.0.1
A quick check to confirm what version you have, if the bookmarks menu has an item called "Organize bookmarks" you will be using Firefox 3.5.19, if it has an item called "Show All Bookmarks" you will have Firefox 4

If you are still using 3.5.4, you will need to run the setup file for Firefox 4.0.1 that you downloaded in order to install it.

  • I have downloaded new version, but still getting message "Urgent to Update". What do I do next?

I got the message that it was time to download the newest version of Firefox. I clicked, and followed the steps. It showed to be downloading, and it checked for viruses, etc. But the message is still showing that it is "urgent" that I download the newest version or I won't be protected. When I click the "Help" and "check for newest versions" it shows me there is nothing available. What should I do next??

Your user agent string (identifies the version of Firefox) is showing that you have Firefox 3.0.13.
If you have downloaded and installed Firefox 3.6.13, you may have an incorrect user agent string. Some add-ons modify the user agent string causing it to show an old version of Firefox even if you have the latest version installed. If this has happened you can reset the user agent string, for details of how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Websites+or+add-ons+incorrectly+report+incompatible+browser
If the user agent string is correct, how did you install the new version? You mentioned downloading the new version but did not mention running the setup file that was downloaded to install the new version.

  • Unsupported Device with update( Unkown software version)

Just like others, I bought a "new phone" off ebay. The phone works okay most of the time, besides I have to perferm a hard reboot every few weeks since the phone doesnt ring on incoming calls, even when set to inreasing ring as I have seen in some of the forums.
I wanted to use my phone as a teathered modem but it seems like I need to have 1.22 installed, Or pay for pda.net.
Is there a way to force flash the phone?
This phone does not have the USB switch settings under the connections tab. If that identifies the version
    Any help would be appreciated!
Post relates to: Treo 700w (Verizon)

Hi I am new to these forums as I just got (reconditioned-Ebay) an activated a Treo700w for Verizon.
For the most part there where no problems with the activaion an with test calls, infact I can make calls with no problems.   The problem is as described above (no ringing, no inbound calls)  I tried the tricks that I could fine listed in the online forums, unfortunately nogo.  And then I came across this post.  I checked out the software version and I get an unsupported version too.  I haven't tried the update as per the forums it won't work.  However, there is one other piece of information that I have but do not see in the forums.  When I shut down the phone (hold power button) what I see is the sprint logo and not the VZW logo.  The same can be seen when I power up the phone.   I suspect that sombody put the sprint software on the verizon phone or it was sprint before and then converted somehow to verizon.
    Any Ideas?

  • I have run the 3.6 upgrade, but everytime I open it I get a warning message saying I am running an older version do I want to upgrade? When I check the version in the help menu it is 3.6 and tools/check for updates says I am on most recent version??

when I said 'every time i open it' i meant 'open firefox browser'!

This can happen if you have an incorrect user agent string (identifies the version of Firefox). Some add-ons modify the user agent string causing it to show an old version of Firefox even if you have the latest version installed.
    Your user agent string is "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)"
It is reporting that you have Firefox 3.5.3
As you are using Firefox 3.6.13 you need to reset the user agent string so that it will correctly identify the version of Firefox that you have installed, for details of how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Websites+or+add-ons+incorrectly+report+incompatible+browser

  • I can't update my Firefox. it is stuck at version 2.0

I can't seem to update my firefox as it is stuck on version 2.0.
Went to the Firefox Addon page and the page detected my firefox as version 2.0.
I tried uninstalling my firefox and reinstall (with a newer version) it but it is still detected as Version 2.0

You appear to have Firefox 3.6.12, you just need to reset your user agent string (identifies the version of Firefox). For details of how to do that see the [[websites or add-ons incorrectly report incompatible browser]] article.

  • Incorrect version of application becomes Active

I have come across this a few times and I'm confused why this might be happening. I am running WebLogic v10.3.5.
I generally try to run 2 versions of the application, one Active, the other prepared.
When I deploy a new version I undeploy the old version and redeploy the new version using the retiretimeout option. I then restart the managed server. From time to time this results in the wrong version or even both versions becoming active.
Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening? Should I avoid having 2 versions? Is there a flag set somewhere that identifies which version should be active?
Any help or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Anthony

    Hi,
I had seen two different bugs similar to same issue.
I pretty much know that this is bug.
Bug 8151899 // VERSIONED APPLICATIONS BECOME ACTIVE ON RESTART
BUG 8191340 // WLS 10.0 - ADMIN SERVER RESTART WITH SIDE-BY-SIDE DEPLOYMENT RESULTS
Now we can open a ticket with weblogic to get more clarity on this issue.

It is reporting that you have Firefox 2.0.0.16, but the user agent string may have been locked by the "Mnenhy" add-on
Try resetting the user agent string to see if it resolves the problem. For details of how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Websites+or+add-ons+incorrectly+report+incompatible+browser

  • PO and PR

    HI, experts
In PO & PR, of item of MATERIAL DATA tab REVISION LEVEL field is there
Does anyone know more about this field? How to work on this & what are the other settings required.
And where we can view the output result of this field.
    Thanks in advance
    Padamraj

    dear padma
A revision level, together with a change number, identifies a version of
         a material or document.
    Procedure
You can assign a revision level if you use a change number that has a
specific valid-from date to make a change.
         Proceed as follows:
         o   Changing a Material
You can assign a revision level to a material when you process the
material master record itself, or you can enter a revision level in
the BOM header when you process a material BOM.
         o   Changing a Document
o   You define for each document type whether revision levels are active
for documents. Define a document status that has the released
indicator. As soon as you process a document of this document type
with a change number and assign this status, a revision level isassigned automatically.
    Dependencies
Before you can assign a revision level, you must define the revision
level. From the main R/3 menu, choose Logistics -> Central functions ->
Engineering change management, then Revision level -> Material rev.
level or Revision level -> Document rev. level.
To define how revision levels are assigned, go to Customizing step Set
         up control data.
