Identify datasources for Product ID

Hi All,
is there any specific table to identify for the specific datasource linked to the particular info Object.
In CRM I need to pull the data from the table CRMC_SRU_REFOBJ and the field is PRODUCT_ ID.I was little confused to identify the datasources.
Can u pls help on this,

Hi Ram,
In the source system (CRM in this case) you have the tables ROOSOURCE and ROOSFIELD which contains information about all datasources
in the system. The table ROOSFIELD shows the fields that belong to a particular datasource. Maybe these tables are of help to you.

Hi,
Any master data source will exist with its name(i.e with name _ attr/text).
So you can search at your source side at RSA5 and look for data source 0CRMVERSION_ATTR or TEXT.
As my guess there won't be data source. because 0crmversion is plan indicator,
If exist data source then you will find at source side RSA5 other wise you may need to go with custom data source. About source table of 0CRMVERISON you can check with CRM team.

Datasources for Product in CRM 5.0

Hello All,
What are the datasources to be used for extracting Product Information from CRM 5.0
I do not find 0COM_PRODUCT_HIER and 0COM_PRODUCT_TEXT in the list of datasources available on CRM 5.0.
The documentation on help.sap.com isnt really useful. I know I can use 0CRM_PRODUCT_ATTR ( this is same as 0COM_PRODUCT_ATTR)
If this is of any use, We have a NW04 BI system connected to a CRM 5.0 System..

1. Whether you are connected to NW 2004S or 3.5 , data source is the same.
2. You ay want to look at 0CRM* data sources and if not, if you also maintain these data in R/3 SD, you can extract from there.

Infoset as datasource for segmentation

Hi,
When I create a datasource of type Infoset, I entered name of the infoset as CRM_MKTTG_BP_ADDR, but there is a field Business Partner, should I enter BUT000-PARTNER (BP No.) or BUT000-PARTNER-GUID (BP GUID) in it? What is the difference between the two?

Hi Monica,
You have to set in this field this: BUT000-PARTNER, this is the number of the partners u are going to filter in the segment builder.
The BUT000-PARTNER_GUID is a field that is a identifier (like an id for the tables) of a partner. In CRM the guid is an identifier of a product, a partner in this case, a document, an order...
For example, the product has a guid also, product_guid.

Error while transporting Datasources in Production

Dear All,
I have facing a problem while transporting objects pertaining to BI Cockpit in Production.
Earlier I had transported all the obects (in more than one transports) in Quality (from Development). After testing the objects, I had imported the same number of transports (and in the same order) to Production and now some of the requests have ended in errors like:
DataSource 0TCTWHMTFM_TEXT does not exist in source system PW1CLNT003 of version A
Such errors have occured for most of the Datasources.
Can anyone let me know
1) Why the transports have failed while importing in Production when similar requests have been transported successfully to Quality.
2) The possible solution to correct the error.
Request your kind help to overcome this problem.

There are no R/3 Datasources involved. Our BI Cockpit landscape is based upon only BI system. No data transfer to take place between R/3 and BI.
Secondly, you mean to say that I need to replicate my Source system in Production and then proceed with the transporting of the requests from Dev to Prod.
But I never did the same in Quality while transporting from Dev. Is it that it might have been done in Quality beforehand by someone ?
Also, when the Datasources have not been transported to Production (resulting in error) then how can i replicate these datasources in Production ???

I checked under 11i $APPL_TOP/admin directory, I can see only one izuprod.txt file apart from applprod.txt.

Restrict print out of Purchase order only for Production system

Hi,
I want to restrict print out of Purchase order only for Production system, don't want to take it in devep or quality.
is there any identifier to find the system is production or development.
can anyone tell me how to restrict it,
is there any function module, not based on client system.

yes, I also use thomas' suggestion using
t000-cccategory = 'P'.
to determine productive client.
Just one small hint: I found this condition as true in a test system: The admin had done a system copy to create a fresh test client - but forgot (or did not see a good reason) to change t000-cccategory = 'P. to t000-cccategory = 'T'.

Error using SAP datasource for OmniPortlet

I have installed and configured PDK 9.0.4.0.2 on my iAS 10g system. Also installed and configured the SAP datasource for OmniPortlet. After I put an OmniPortlet portlet on a portal page then I begin to define the defaults for the portlet instance, I select "SAP - Use SAP R/3 system as a source of data" and press the Next button. I get the following error message: "Error: The listener returned the following Message: 500 Internal Server Error".
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

1 - First , pay closely attention on the documentation and installation guide :

2 - Make sure that you are using a CORRECT version. For PDK , must be 9.0.4.1;
3 - Sapjco.jar version 2.0.2 isnÂ´t available anymore, at SAP website. I have used sapjco.jar version 2.0.10, and please, follow ALL instructions, thatÂ´s include do the examples;
4 - Make sure that all steps (Installing the OracleAS Data Source Plugin,Installing the JCo libÂ´s,Testing the Deployment, etc) describe on the installation guide, be complete successfully;
5 - On my case, Â´cause we have Infra and Middle , at same host ( hold on...itÂ´s just a developed enviroment...), a did specify a CLASSPATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH , at ..EMC > Middle > OC4J_Portal > Server properties > enviroment ..
6 - My question now is... That plugin itÂ´s just able to see a default BAPIÂ´s? ItÂ´s possible to work with "Z" functions ?

DataSource for Replicated Database

Hi, first, of all, I don't know if this forum is the right place to post my question, so sorry for bothering you!
I'm working in a project where I'm thinking about using two Oracle databases one replicating the other. I read somewhere that this using Multimaster Replication is a good way to obtain more availability. But I don't know how to create a DataSource in OC4J that can use both databases and choose the one that's not down. If I were using Weblogic, I could create a connection pool for each database, and then create a MultiPool that uses the already created pools.
I don't know if I miss something in the documentation of Multimaster Replication, but I don't see how to create a single point of access for the Replicated databases, and neither how to create a DataSource for OC4J that can access more than one database. I'm totally new in Oracle world! Perhaps it isn't the better way to obtain more availabilty, perhaps I need to use a third component to provide a single point of access for the databases. I really don't know!

Multi-master replication is for distributed datbase. The best thing to have a better database availability is 9i Real Application Cluster.

Business Content for Production Orders

Dear All,
we are looking for a SAP standard scenario for our business scenario to get details per production order and workcenter.
I found already Datasources 2LIS_04_P_MATNR (for production order header data), 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL (for production order operational data) and 2LIS_04_P_COMP (for production order component data), which contain the data we will need to be reported on.
Unfortunately I'm not able to find any How-To paper or anything like this, where I can see, how these 3 Datasources are coming together in BW. For 2LIS_04_P_MATNR I found 0PP_DS01 in the business content. But I expected to find as well an DSO in the SAP content for the other 2 Datasources. I'm also wondering, if there is a standard cube, where these 3 DSO's are coming together later on to be the basis for the reporting.
Does anybody of you have any standard documentation of this business scenario?

Hi Peggy , There is no standard DSO or infocube available which reports on all the 3 data sources combined together.
But there are standard DSOs ,infocubes like 0PP_O01 , 0PP_C04 which can be used in a custom multiprovider to draw reports of interest.

"Missing version string for product" error when trying to get updates on Lion Server

I am not getting the latest updates from Apple on my 10.7.4 server. When I attempt to do so the log has a bunch of errors stating "Missing version string for product". I've tried deleting and recreating the swupd files but I am still having the same issue. Is there any fixes to this problem I am missing? Thanks in advance!

ok, I went back and made a new database but changed the character set / collation... aside from that change, everything is the same, but I get an error saying that the datasource could not be found when I can see all the tables in intermedia's phpmyadmin page... would changing the character set / collation cause this error?

Siebel Database Upgrade Wizard fails for production upgrade

We are doing a dry-run for production upgrade for our customer form Siebel 7.8.2 to 8.1. 1.4
Platform info:
Siebel Gateway, Siebel Server, Database Server: AIX 6.1 64 bit OS
Database: IBM DB2 V9.7
When running the Upgrade Database (upgrep + upgphys) wizard, the process fails to execute with errors.
Below is the error details:

We have raised an SR with Oracle Support and have done the changes suggested and verified the process as per the Bookshelf Installation Guide.
The installations have been verified and the required siebel procedures and functiuons are in place. The upgrade process is still failing.
Has anyone come across this issue. Could you please assist us in identifying the cause of failure. This is pushing back our go-live date. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Business Content for Product Cost by Sales Order

Hi,
We need to do reporting on costs associated to Sales Orders. The corresponding R/3 Area is "Product Cost by Sales Order" in Cost Object Controlling. We have looked at the standard cube for Cost Object Controlling (0PC_C01) but this cube only contain costs related to manufacturing orders, whereas we need to look at costs associated with sales orders after Result Analysis.
Have you guys any ideas which content that might support this, if any?

Unfortunately there's no DataSource providing the data you need for your analysis scenario. A custom development is needed (awful!!)

Symptom
In R/3, costs are posted directly to sales orders. The costs have to be analyzed in the BW system. In the standard system, however, this data is not extracted into the BW system.

Solution
1. There are currently no DataSources for costs on sales orders in the standard BW Business Content. Unfortunately, there are currently no resources scheduled for a new development in this area either.
2. Therefore, the DataSources and the Business Content must be created in the customer project within the framework of consulting as a customer solution concerning the generic extraction options of the BW Service APIs or function modules you have programmed yourself for extracting data.
3. Technical background information about costs on sales orders:
The transaction data is available in the following R/3 tables
COSS and COSP - Totals records or COEP - Line items.
This concerns records for the VB* object numbers.
The master data of the sales orders is contained in the VBAK and VBAP tables.
The 0CO_OM_OPA_1 and 0CO_OM_OPA_6 DataSources only extract costs for orders with master data in the AUFK table. These types of requests always have OR* object numbers. Therefore, these DataSources cannot be used for sales orders.
However, you may be able to assign requests from the AUFK table (for example, maintenance orders or production orders) to a sales order through the AUFK-KDAUF table field.

Partner Relationship for Product

Hi,
I have added partner relationship for product with specific start/end dates values (In my case, I added driver relationship for vehicle through CIC0 transaction).
Through transaction only date (without time) is displayed, while in database the fields DATE_FROM, DATE_TO are stored as timestamps (Which means both date and time value).
I want to manage the relationships in lower level and allow different partners of same partner function on the same day, but in different hours.
Is it possible to define the date range of partners relationships as date+time instead of date only, or only date (without time) is being taken into account (and therefore such change is meaningless)?
