Identify the Primary Account for a Contact on a report

I want to build a report that show cases all the accounts for a contact which I can do using the Account-Contact History report. The challenge that I am facing is to the particular contact I would like to identify their primary account. How would I do that? Anybody have any suggestions besides using Web Services

It would depend on how the data is loaded in your system.
In case of mine when I click on any Contact, then in the Account section I see only one Account Name which is the primary.
So if I just use Contact History and pull Contact Name, Account Name then I will get the list of all Primary Accounts affiliated to the Contact(1:1 relation)
I wonder how your system is like. Perhaps you can request the data guys to expose the Primary flag checkbox as a field in Analytics and simply use it.

    Both accounts are completely independent from each other. In order to use the space that you have purchased for your secondary account, you must change it to become your primary account. Yes, as you said, services like photo stream only work with the primary account. Unfortunately, there is no comfortable way to just transfer data from one account to another one, but you can do it via a third party application e.g. via Dropbox: e.g. for photos: photos stored with your current primary account > manual transfer to dropbox > after you made your secondary account to the primary account,  transfer the photos back to your new primary account etc.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.  Since you are posting here, I take it you already have an Apple ID.  
    You can setup that Apple ID to work with iCloud.  See:
    Set up your Apple ID for iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
    And you usually want to stick with one Apple ID as having multiples can cause confusion (especially with purchases).

  • Is there a way to see previous data usage if not the primary account holder?

    I am not the primary account and therefore cannot look at bills to see previous usage. Is there anywhere on the website I could find this? I know in the past, I've been able to get the last 3 months (either from website or phone app, I don't remember which), but now Verizon has gone backwards and made it harder to get that information. Perhaps they don't want us to easily find how much is being used so they can bill us for extra overage charges, especially now that data is where their big bucks come from???

    Only the primary I believe can. It has always been that way from what I remember.

    Hi Alex, Welcome to Apple's Users Help Users Forums.
    Yes. First may I note that for security reasons you want to be in a standard account while surfing the internet. Assuming that is not the case, here is how to fix that and maintain your settings.
    If the other account is not an admin account, make it into admin level.
    Now change your surfing account into standard.
    When surfing in an admin account it is too easy to get nasties into your system. There are very few now but who knows about tomorrow.
    The concern re renaming accounts is loosing ability to find stuff. I would do a bit of research before doing that. Applications help. A Forum Search. etc.

    adobe forums, only to discover Adobe doesn't allow a primary admin to ever leave. This is rather silly as people leave workplaces, they don't stay for life. An answer in a different forum on this site said one must cancel their adobe account, then start a new one. Though... Adobe doesn't allow a person to cancel their adobe account. It all must be done via Adobe customer service, which has proved non existent. There is no email address to email a request, there is a chat option which claims 24/7 chat however this functionality doesn't seem to work on my new Lenovo computer, current IE explorer running Windows 8.
    Adobe - you really need to sort this out. I have left the work place where I was the Team Administrator some months ago now and now I need to be removed from that workplace account completely. Currently, I still have full access to it, which is not good from a security point of view because if I were a disgruntled ex-employee I could play havoc with my workplaces subscription and access their confidential files stored in the cloud.
    Looking through the Forum, there is a great deal of conversation on this exact point. I'd suggest you answer this one, then create a sticky so people don't keep creating new threads and then see about resolving the issue so that Primary Admins can change in future, and be removed when they leave the workplace.

  • HT204053 I started using iCloud on all my Apple products before MobileMe shut down, setting up a new ID and password to do that.  When MobileMe moved to iCloud, it became my primary account for iCloud and is interfering with everything I had done before. 

    I started using iCloud on all my Apple products, using a new password and ID, before MobileMe shut down.  Apparently I shouldn't have done that, because when MobileMe moved to iCloud, it automatically became my primary account and took over everything I had previously set up on my iCloud account.  I would like to eliminate the MobileMe account, but I can't find a way to do it.  Anyone have any experience with this?  It's making me very frustrated with iCloud.

    The primary account is the one signed into in System Preferences>iCloud (or on an iPhone Settings>iCloud). If it isn't the account you want to use, simply sign out and the sign back in with the required account. On signing out your data will be removed from your Mac but not from the iCloud server.
    If you want to you can sign in with the other account in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars - you can sync that account's email, contacts and calendars and they will appear alongside the equivalent data in the primary account.
    The main differences are that the secondary account's email will not be 'pushed' but will be checked periodically, and the secondary account cannot use PhotoStream.

    Currently you cannot change the primary admin on a CCT membership. As a workaround, follow these steps:
    Cancel the existing team membership: You can cancel the membership without any penalty. The accounts for team members change to trial mode. Members can still access their saved data in the cloud storage. To cancel the membership, click theChat Now button at the bottom of this page to initiate chat with a live agent.
    Buy a new team membership; use the Adobe ID for the new primary admin.
    Reinvite team members using the new primary admin account.
    The team members have to accept the invitation and log in to the Creative Cloud Desktop app again. Their apps are activated under the new team account.

    Deleting an iCloud account only deletes it from the Device, not from iCloud.  In iOS 8, the name of this setting changed to "Sign Out" as that is a better reflection of what actually happens.  Your iCloud data remains on the server, available to devices still signed into the account, but the device you sign out of the account on is disconnected from the account, and as a result, the iCloud data from that account is removed from the device.  It will redownload to the device should you sign back into the account.
    The only issue you'll run into when you switch between accounts is with my photo stream photos older than 30 days.  When you delete (or sign out of) and account, your photo stream photos are deleted along with the other data from the account in question.  However, unlike other data which remains on the server and can redownload to your device when you sign back in, my photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days.  When you sign back in, you will only get back my photo stream photos added in the last 30 days (as older photos are no longer in iCloud to redownload).  Like other account data, any my photo stream photos on your other devices signed into the account are unaffected by this.  If you want to keep older my photo stream photos on your device as you change iCloud accounts, save them to your camera roll before deleting (signing out of) the account.

    To change iCloud accounts you have to go to Settings>iCloud, sign out, then sign back in with your other ID to create your new account.  If you want to migrate a copy of the iCloud data to the new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save Image.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out, choose Keep on My iPhone and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted.  Then sign back in with your new Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload the data to your new account.  Once you are on a separate account you can go to iCloud.com and delete your husband's data from your account (and he can do the same with yours).
    Just be aware that the current @icloud.com email address cannot be moved to the new account, nor can the current my photo stream album (which is why you need to save any my photo stream photos you want to keep to your iPhone before signing out of the existing account).
