Identifying a system is a IA64 or X64

Hi Friends,
Can anyone help me how to determine whether a windows server is IA64 64 bit or X64 64bit.
I can determine whethere it is a 64 bit or 32 bit through System information. But not able to find whether the system is IA64 or X64. Please help.

I forgot them - yes - you're right.
According to their website they don't use Itanium any more, all their current server models are Xeon or AMD based. This was also communicated in the press -they don't built any more servers with "Itanic":

So the only vendor staying is just SGI/Cray.... (aside from HP)

This is expected behavior because Server 2008 is unsupported in MDT 2013:

How to create a 'System'variable to identify the system from merged dimension

Hi,
I have a webi report with merged dimensions on users and
roles. Users and Roles are coming from 3 different systems (ECC,BW,BOBJ). Now,
I don’t have the system field available in the queries to filter by the system.
So, I would like to create a variable for system where I want to be able to
identify the system (like ECC,BW,BOBJ) based on the merged “Role” dimension.
Could someone tell me , if it is possible to do that? And if so, how do I do
that? (I tried, but it's not working for me) I really appreciate your help.

You can not use inlist operator here.For inlist static values are required for comparison.I know this is not a solution for you.
For to use match operator you have to use multiple else-if conditions.I know this is time consuming but if you can not do anything from BW side then use like below formula.
=If(Match([Role];"FRP.*")) Then "ECC" ElseIf (Match([Role];"HRP.*")) Then "ECC" else"BW"
Add more conditions in the formula and if you are sure in your report there are only three type of roles.Then define condition only for ECC and BW systems in the variable and rest mark as else BO.

My HD on my pc just recently went down. I had to buy a new HD and reinstall windows on the new HD. I am running a 64 bit system, and have installed itunes (x64). itunes wont recognize my phone. I have done all troubleshooting tutorials. HELP!

I just had to replace the HD on my system. I am running a x64 system and have installed the correct version of iTunes. ITunes will not recognize my phone since the new install. I have went online and followed all of the troubleshooting guides on Apple support. No good. I have uninstalled and installed iTunes several times. I have even tried reinstalling windows. I also get an error message when I start up Itunes that reads " The registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning cd's and dvd's are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other cd burring software. Please reinstall ITunes. I am so frustrated, I know there has to be a solution. I tunes works in all other senses, just not recognizing my Phone. I need help, my wife and I both have iPhones and need to sync..........

You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

Operating system Windows 7 Home Premium x64 download

Hello, I have changed broken harddisk in my HP ProBook 4540s and I'm looking for Windows 7 Home Premium x64 (Czech). I have HP DVDs with this OS, but it doesn't boot. So I called to HP and then they sent me another DVD, but it doesn't work too. Where can I download this OS to install my system? Thank you for reply :-)

You may need language packs to be installed for Czech to be activated after OS installation. Do a google search of Base language for Czech and download that.

Identify PXI system

I want to identify my PXI system and chassis. Upon right clicking "PXI
System(Unidentified)", which gives a list under "Identify As", what has
to be selected?. Should I select the External PC because I connect the
chassis to a PC. I have he NI PXIe 1065 chassis with a PXI 5661 and a
PXI 567x, and a PXI 5690 Pre-amplifier. Kindly advice.

ThinkVantage System Update 4, Windows 7 x64, and LAN repository are failing with T410 laptops

I've been using TVSU/TVUR for a few years and they're excellent tools. Life would be much harder without them.
Recently I acquired some ThinkPad T410's with Windows 7. As usual, I applied an existing Windows 7 image (from a T400), and ran TVSU. Group Policy settings populate the TVSU reg keys with the UNC path to the update repository on my LAN. So far so good.
Now things get weird. TVSU asks for a username and password when first connecting to the repository at \\servername\sharename\path. That shouldn't be necessary - I can browse that path as the logged-in domain user.
No matter what I put in the username/password prompt, whether I hit OK or cancel, TVSU proceeds to scan the directories in \\srvername\sharename\path for relevant updates.
Once it finds 15 updates, I select them. Clicking on the "details" option for any updates brings up an empty window, no text. If I try to download updates, it starts chugging along and quickly finishes, reporting "15 packages did not download".
I don't have this problem with other Win 7 x64 T400's, or other laptops running other OS's. I don't think the repository is corrupt, since other systems can download and install updates.
Where do I go from here?

X-Fi Titanium Freezes System Windows 8.1 Enterprise X64

I didn't have any problem on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 operating system. When i started to use Windows 8.1 Enterprise X64 edition , likely once in ~1 hour operating system freezes and very loud annoying sounds came from speakers(which is connected to the soundcard) and i have to hard reset computer. This happens while playing games and watching videos. If i disable the soundcard from hardware devices and if i use onboard sound, problem solves.
My operating system, hardware drivers and bios all up-to-date.
I tried everything, (Completely removed all driver and softwares, installed the newest ones.)
Is it only me ?
I think, something is terribly wrong with Creative's Windows 8.1 drivers . Or my soundcard dying ?

Please check if the Windows Server 2012 is still UNABLE to detect the external NTFS drive after attach the drive from the Windows 8.1 back to the Windows Server 2012.
A RAW filesystem simply means that it is a filesystem that is not recognized by Windows. The most common cause of external hard drives suddenly becoming RAW drives is if they are disconnected from a computer without using the “Safely Remove Hardware” option.
You can use the Dskprobe tool (Dskprobe.exe) to make repairs to check it the issue still exist on the Windows Server 2012.

Epson FireWire devices identified in System Profiler by a single letter

Epson FireWire devices are identified only by the letters G (Epson perfection 4990 scanner) and E (Epson Stylus Photo 2200 Printer). Other devices, such as an Epson Expression 836XL scanner connected through a dedicated SCSI card and a Minolta Dimage Scan Elite F-2900 also connected through yet another dedicated SCSI card are identified in full.
Does anybody have any insight as to the sparse identification of the Epson FireWire devices?
I should add that other FireWire devices, such as external FW drives, are identified in full.

"Table VSEOPARENT is not in the database" after SolMan system copy to x64

Hi SDNners,
We've just completed a system copy of our SolMan 3.1 system onto a new
(Xeon x64 based) server. This system copy is part of the process of
moving SolMan 3.1 from an old server onto 64bit hardware and then
upgrading it to SolMan v4 and Oracle 10G.
Although the system appears to start properly in the MMC, we are unable
to log into the system through SAPGUI - we get a SYNTAX_ERROR window
instead of a logon screen.
I've checked the SysLog from within the MMC and noticed a number of
errors stating:
Database: Table VSEOPARENT is not in the database
Database: Table VSEOIFIMPL is not in the database
Database: Table VSEOIFCOMP is not in the database
I tried running SQL command 'select * from "SAPSOL"."VSEOPARENT"; and
it confirmed that the table didn't exist. I then ran the same command
on the source SolMan system and it showed that VSEOPARENT DID exist. I
don't understand how these VSEO* tables could have gone missing between
the source and target systems.
I've searched OSS for VSEO* and cannot find anything. Please help!

We have 640 kernel, ECC 5.0 and BASIS patch 23.
For me the problem was with SAPVIEW table wasnt imported from source to target becuase SAPVIEW.STR file was 0 byte. STR files gets created in export preparation phase.
It did happen because on source side master DVD, there was no option for export preparation. I had only option for tablesplit and export db.
I did use ECC 5.0 SR2 Master DVD which had option for export preparation phase and that created SAPVIEW.STR file.
Using migration monitor I did re-export and re-import and this time all views are imported in target.

how exactly did you copy the database to the new server?
the tables you stated are an essential part of the ABAP runtime environment, so the syntax error is surely because of these tables are missing.

That is what I'm trying to accomplish because during the years with SCCM 2007 we were available to deploy x64 OS
(windows 7, 8, 8.1) using x86 boot image without any problem. Since we migrated to SCCM 2012 R2 CU 2 we have experimenting different and
intermittent issues:
we are using x86 boot image to deploy x64 OS and
x64 drivers package. When the system reboot to start the setup, we get a black screen with a movable cursor (but nothing to click on!).
when I change the task sequence to use x64 boot image (note: using the same x64 OS and same drivers package) the process continue with success.
I'm searching any technical documentation from Microsoft to better understand this issue. What can be the reason why it work fine with x64 boot image and not with x86.

How to identify the state of system cursor

My requirement is to identify the state of the system cursor and when it changes to normal mode from hour glass mode i have to do an action. Of all the things i had gone through it only dealt with the cursor that appears over a java component(setCursor() method etc).
Can anyone please provide me the solution to identify the state of the system cursor.
Since i am dealing with the mouse pointer that is not subclassed from JAVA's component class even sample coding to identify the system cursors state will help.
In simple wordings,
1)A non JAVA related process is running in the foreground which will change the mouse pointers state from hour glass to regular and vice versa.
2)My JAVA program which is running in the background has to identify the systems cursor state change and trigger some events.
Note: I had tried all of the possible methods in Component class and Cursor class which never worked out.
Your solution will be of great use to me. Please help.
