I want to filter a list of articles having a particular value in the characteristic assigned to it.
From where can i find the linkage. (Tables)

I have a requirement for a report showing no. of articles in a site that have negative on hands. I tried to develop it by creating a condition to restrict articles that have negative on-hands. I created a calculated key-figure by setting a value 1 and setting exception aggregation to total and reference characteristic as article. But it gives the total no. of articles in that site. It seems the condition is effective only for displaying the negative on-hands but while calculating the no. of articles, it considers everything instead of the condition to give only negative OH articles. Any idea how to achieve this? The report output will be:
Site No. of articles having negative OH

Consult a Lookup in a particular value from a reconciliation

Hello everybody ...
I need to find a method (tcLookupOperationsntf) that searches a Lookup a certain value (string). For example, I have several records in a Lookup as follows OU=pp_99123,OU=PE,DC=domain,DC=net , I contain only the number 99123 which is a unique identifier. I need that number by 99,123, I return the full amount coming from the Lookup OU=pp_99123,OU=PE,DC=domain,DC=net. It would be a research method, but I can not find. Does anyone know answer me?

Hi Sam,
You cannot do this directly as exclusion, but you can include all other values, even as ranges and thus exclude the particular value, else you can also try to do this by writing a routine.

I would like to display only Non-zero values for keyfigures but only for a particular value of a characteristic. For Ex: We have material Group. For a particular value of material group, i do not want to display the zero stock. But for other material groups it should display zero stock.
I tried to use conditions, but the problem is it suppresses all the zero values for the keyfigure for material group in general and not for a particular value of the material group.
Is there is any way that i can go about for this scenario. Pls help.

Hi,
You can very much restrict your KF on particular values of said material group. For example you material group contains the values like "Blades", "Personal Cares", "Disposables" etc... and you want to restrict your KF on "Blades" only, you can do that.
Just restrict your KF on Material Group and include the values which you want for restrictions. You can also exclude values from restrictions.

Create a structure in the rows based on selections on material group. Eg.
Structure
Mat grp 1 (restricted to material during selection)
Mat grp 2
then add a formula in columns using boolean argument
e.g (exisisting KF >= 1)*1+0
Then you can use conditions to elimanate zeros on the new KF.

Dear all,
I am trying to synchronize Company master data between local BCS system and SAP BW with UGMD_BATCH_SYNC program. In the synchronization mode, Full Synschronization (Write and Delete) was selected.
However, I receive the following error message when executing the program:
Error while deleting values of characteristic /1FB/COMPANY/Company (RFC destination )
Message no. UGMD077
Diagnosis
When writing or deleting values of characteristic /1FB/COMPANY/Company errors occurred in the system with RFC destination . As the changes have already been defined in the local storage location this results in the master data being asynchronous between the local and remote storage location.
System Response
Processing is continued.
Procedure
Carry out a manual synchronization of the master data later using report UGMD_BATCH_SYNC. You can find additional information there under Application Help.
FYI, RFC Destination for my data basis is left blank.
What may causes this error and how to resolve it?

May I know what settings that I need to check in UGMDSYNC program? As far as I can tell, there is only one parameter that we need to specify in the program i.e. Field Name. As I am trying to synchronize from BCS to BW, I have chosen the followings settings:
Source = LOCAL
Target = ALLBW

Interesting thing that I notice after executing the UGMDSYNC program is the following message:
Synchronize/Display Variances Between Systems
     The compound dependencies for the attributes or texts are not defined
     uniformly in the systems investigated.
     Example:
     Texts are defined as language-specific in the local systems and as
     language-independent in remote systems (for example BW systems). The
     same can apply for other compounds such as version or time dependencies.
System Response
     The display of differences between the systems will be affected. A
     manual synchronization will not be completely successful.
Procedure
     1. Ensure that the dependencies for the attributes and texts are the
         same in all systems.
     2. Start the synchronization process again.
Procedure for System Administration
I can check the attributes and texts in BW via RSD1 by specifying InfoObject = 0COMPANY and checking the Master data/texts and Attribute tabs. But how do I check similar settings in BCS Workbench? I can't determine whether the Company text is language-dependent or not simply by displaying specific Company from Process View > Master Data > Consolidation Units > Company.

I am facing an error in a query with the description:

Value '' of characteristic is not a number with spaces
System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form RSRDR;SRRK0F30-01-
Description
This error is occuring in Production system only, the report is running fine in Development environment.
The error is also visible when I execute it in RSRT, I am not able to find the cause of error through RSRT.
Can anyone please help me with the possible solutions.

thanks for the input, I tried to run the report after loading the master data but still there was no improvement.
I am not sure why this kind of problem is rising, some of the similar reports on same infoprovider are running fine.
Please let me know if you know anything about the cause of error.

Also, take a look at FTP Browser.vi, which is available at the Example Finder.
To edit a XML file, try to use VIs in XML palette. Maybe Write to XML.vi helps you.

Counting rows with a particular value

Hello. I recently posted this thread Count java problem for how to count an attribute.
Now I need that count to be limited to a certain value inside the attribute.
let me clarify. I have a table Casinos, which is connected to a table SlotsInCasinos, which is further connected to SlotMachines in a many to many with SlotsInCasinos being the intersection.
The previous post that I mentioned (thanks Timo by the way) told me how to count all the slots in a particular casino.
Now I would like to know how I could count all the slots of a particular value (for example Poker slot Machines, regular Slot machines, etc) instead of the total count in a particular object.
So on the page I would have lets say 2 output texts, one showing the number of Poker Slot Machines in that particular casino and the other showing the number of regular Slot machines in that particular casino (a third could show the number of some third kind of slot machines).

I created a view object called Test, based on the entity object SlotMachinesInCasino. I then created a view link TestLink and created a master detail relationship (the same one I already had for the View Object SlotMachinesCasinosVO.
The difference is in the query for test I put the following

    TIPOVI_APARATA.NAZIV_APARATA = 'Evona'My thinking was that if I do this the estimated row count function for this will just give me the number of Evona Game machines. I tried it out in an SQL Worksheet and it gives back only the Evona machines.
Unfortunately when I create the TestIterator and then drop output text whose EL is the estimated row count for the test iterator it does not work as intended. It counts all the Slot Machines in the Object no matter the Name.
So it gives a number equal to all the slot machines instead of to the number of slot machines with name 'Evona'.
What did I do wrong?

Adding a parameter with comma separated having different values

i want to add a parameter with comma separated having different values of a column. e.g i have column having values from 10000 to 99999. i want to create report for the selected values of 11111,12111,131111 etc. This selection can be one or more values as desired. Second problem is restricting the records as per parameter.

Reports doesn't allow multi-selection of a parameter in its parameter form. You need to use Oracle*Forms or an HTML Form to front end more advanced parameter form options.
However, you could have multiple parameters and combine their selections into a single parameter in the after parameter form trigger. This would at least allow you to give the user the option for selecting up to 'n' parameters. The single parameter would have to be of type "character" and you probably want to add appropriate quotes around the values in the after parameter form trigger.
Second problem is restricting the records as per parameter. Once you've got the comma seperated values into a single parameter (say p_myValues with a default value of '') then you can just use a lexical parameter to restrict the values as in:
select * from emp
where to_char(empno) in (&p_myValues)

Query not executing for one particular value

I have query on multi provider. and this multi provider is combination of Info objects only but not any ODS or cubes. I have one key figure in this multi provider.while executing the query i need to give input for variabl which has 7 different values. Query is executing fine for 6 values but not for one particular value.
query executed in listcube transaction and it is executed fine here for the same selection. then what might be the reason?
Please advise as soon as possible.

Stop a dimensional drill for a particular value of a column in obiee 11g

I have dimensional drill been setup for Supervisor Hierarchy Table.I need to stop the dimensional drill for a particular value of the column in obiee 11g.
Example: I have two columns
1.Supervisor Level 1 Name
2.Supervisor Level 2 Name
Supervisor Level 1 Name Columns have these values.(Ram,Higher,Sam)
Supervisor Level 2 Name Columns have these values.(Ravi,Higher,Raghul).
If we pull Supervisor Level 1 Name Column in report which has a dimensional drill(It will navigate to Supervisor Level 2 Name).It will show
1.Ram
2.Higher
3.Sam
I should not drill on Higher value but the rest of the values(Sam and Ram will drill to Supervisor Level 2 Name) should be drillable.The same should happen for Supervisor Level 2 Name.
