Identifying origin of forwarded calls from separate forwarded lines

Currently have two separate phone numbers forwarded to my iPhone number.  Is there a way to tell which line an incoming call is being forwarded from? Currently shows the actual phone number that is calling, not the line it's being forwarded from.  Each line is a separate business so if I can see what line the call is coming from, I can answer with the correct business name.  Thank you!

Hi did you find any solution? if you find could you pls share it. Thank you

My new IPhone 6plus wont allow me to forward calls whilst my iphone5s will and they are both on the same network - can any one help?

Call forwarding is a carrier feature, not a phone feature. So, contact your carrier & insure that call forwarding is properly provisioned on your account.

  • Skype calls from a land line

Can an international land line call me on skype? If so how do I get a skype number, and is there a charge for me to receive the call?

Hi, Annikamalone, and welcome to the Community,
Yes, anyone calling you via your Skype Number would be able to reach you regardless of whether they were calling from either a fixed line or a mobile number.
You would not be charged to receive a call on your Skype Number; however, your callers would be (toll charges, and so on).
Here is information regarding obtaining a Skype Number: Skype number

  • Want forwarded calls from analog system to hear common message

We are slowly converting from analog system to VoIP. Under the conversion, VoIP phones have a different prefix, but keep the same last four digits.
    Analog = 223-xxxx
    VoIP = 446-xxxx
Converted users have forwarded their 223 numbers to the 446 prefixes.  I now want to forward all 223 upgraded numbers to the same unity extension 446-1000 where they will receive a message that the prefix has changed from 223 to 446.
I have to keep a few 223 extensions forwarded to their 446 extensions where they can leave voicemail due to the 223 numbers being well known.
First we had a call handler to play the message and had it play for all forwarded 223 extensions using wild card for DID numbers..  That didn't let my few 223 exceptions leave voicemail at the 446 extension.
I then setup a voicemail with it's own number 446-1000.  Removed the wilcard from the call handler and disabled the call handler. Now Direct calls to 486-1000 number will play the message, but forwarded numbers receive the generic operator message.
    Any suggestions?

You may have already tried this, but I think the Forwarded Routing Rules may work for you.
    Good luck!

  • Can I forward calls from iphone without the phone present?

I forgot my work phone at home and wanted to know if I can forward the calls without having the phone with me.

Some carriers permit call forwarding using any computer when you login to your account, so contact your carrier.

  • How do I forward calls from my iPhone4?  The option seems to have disappeared from the settings - phone prompt

The option seems to have disappeared from the settings - phone options

With the settings changed on the iPhone4, why the iPad Air? I downloaded the apps to it. Then chose to delete them, which works. I just have to remember to delete them from iTunes12 eventually.

  • Is it possible to transfer an active call from a PLAR line to another extension? CUCM 9.1

We have multiple PLAR's set up that work great but not everyone has them on their phone. So the problem arises when someone who does not have a certain PLAR on their phone and wants to join the conversation. We had hoped that we could transfer/conference the call on the PLAR to the extension of the person who does not have it on their phone but get a busy tone as soon as the transfer key is pressed. Is this at all possible?

I am going to assume that you provisioned PLAR by using a "null" translation pattern (i.e. pattern with no digits). And that the phones will automatically connect to the PLAR destination when they go off hook.
When you try to do a transfer, the CUCM digit analysis process will use the same CSS logic as it does for a standard/direct call. So, the behavior you are observing is expected. You can't use a PLAR line as if it was a regular phone line.
Your scenario has sparked my curiosity. In my experience, PLAR lines are usually added to common area phones outside of a secure area or something similar. It sounds like you are using PLAR as secondary lines on user stations. I may be mis-interpreting your scenario but I am inclined to think that you may be better served by using other UCM features. More information about your requirements would be needed to give you proper guidance.
If interested then please share more info. Otherwise, the answer to your original question concerning PLAR is that it doesn't work the way you want it too.

  • My IPhone does not ring into my voicemail from my land line which I have set up to forward to my IPhone. How do I fix this?

    HI,
I bought my IPhone 4 in March of 2011. I use it for work purposes and I have my landlind from my desk forwarded to my IPhone. I am current on all of my updates but for some reason around AUgust 8th or the wek of I have not been able to get voice messages from my forwarded calls. The land line will forward to my cell and my cell will ring but it does not roll into my voice mail. I have been on the phone with Verizon who sent me to Apple who sent me back to Verizon. Is there anyone else out there that has had the same problem?

    Hey mslisa12
Check to make sure that you do not have the Personal Hotspot turned on, go to Settings > Cellular and turn it off or change the password.

  • Forwarded call to cell phone is not displayed with...

I have a subscription allowing me to let calls to my skype online-number be forwarded to my cell phone. Now, if someone calls my skype number and is forwarded to my cell phone, my cell phone only shows "unknown". This is also the case, if the person calling me and being forwarded has activated his phone to show its number. So it has to be a setting inside the skype-program. How can I change this setting to let the number calling me being displayed on my cell phone?
Thank you, I appreciate your help very much.

It is possible that the telephone network is not passing the Caller ID information along.  This is the case in certain countries, even if the caller has enabled Caller ID and you have set a number in your Skype account to be used as Caller ID.  Have you done that yet?  Log into your account here on the Skype web site using the "Account" link at the top of this page to see your Skype account's Caller ID settings.
If you have Caller ID set up on your Skype account, sometimes you will see your own Caller ID number when calls are forwarded from Skype.  Other times, it may be "unknown" or a series of digits.  Unfortunately, Skype does not have control over all of this, since Skype works with partners in many countries to provide services using the telephone network (making calls to or receiving calls from telephones, forwarding calls from Skype to a telephone number, Caller ID, etc.).

  • Forwarding calls to iPhone

I have been forwarding calls from another phone to the iPhone. When those calls come to the iPhone, it rings and there is a message that pops up, which says there is a call being forwarded to it. Sometimes the message disappears, but sometimes it doesn't, not letting me answer the call. Has anyone else had this problem?

I am forwarding my Verizon number to my iPhone and I do get the pop-up but it allows me to tap on it and it disappears which then allows me to either accept or decline the call.

  • Forwarded call notification

I am forwarding calls from my work phone to my private iPhone 4.
On my old Nokia, there was always arrow symbol for all forwarded incoming calls.
I am using the same service provider.
Can I set this by settings or additional App?
    Arnis

As you say, when you receive a call that has been forwarded you will only see information about this see for a couple of seconds when it starts ringing. The call list will not show if a received call was forwarded and i'm afraid i don't know of any way to change this.

  • Strange problem forwarding calls

I forward calls from my iPhone on the ATT wireless network to my Comcast landline. When people with other ATT wireless phones only call my iPhone number, it won't ring thru to my Comcast voicemail; instead, callers get a message "The mailbox number you are trying to reach is not in service." This problem only occurs with ATT wirelss phone > iPhone forwarding > Comcast landline. Any thoughts?!! Thanks!!

Could you use IMAP and thereby avoid all the silly forwarding?
If not, look at the Mail Redirect add-on. It's better suited to the business of moving messages between different accounts via email.
Marking the affected messages as unread on the server may help, or you could delete the popstate.dat file in Thunderbird's profile section for this account on the main computer.

On Jabber for Windows 9.2.4 when we activate "Forward calls to" - the forward is set on controlled phone, however the spinner freezes (see image) and won't clear until a different phone is selected for control. Setting "forward calls to" "none" does not clear the spinner.

    Hi Mark,
this is known issue: 'CSCui37305 - After forwarded call, "Setting call forwarding..." does not disappear' and it is already resolved in 9.2.6.

  • Transfer call from fixed line to BB Z10

    Hello
When you transfer calls from fixed line to BB Z10 the device only gives a split second notification of transfer call and then you do not see it any more.
So it is difficult to see the difference between direct calls and my transfered call from my fixed line.
Is it possible to keep the notification of transfered call "on screen" when it is dialing?
    With friendly greets
    Karel

The Z10 gives a split second a notification that the incomming phonecall is a transferred call and then shows the phone number of the original caller. Afterwords there is no way to see the differance between the straight calls and the transferred.
With my old Nokia N8 there was an onscreen "green arrow" notification.
After searching a little on the web I found out that only the old symbian phones (and some other) had that function.

Its a pitty it doesn't work on a BB Z10. I guess it will not be changed as the post above is from 2008 and now we are 2014.
