Identifying Unknown MP3's

I recently came across some software that identifies MP3 files by 'listening' to them. It works great but they have ceased offering it. I contacted the owners and they said it is for sale, they do not want to develop it further. How can I get this message out to someone at Apple who could look into incorporating this into the iTunes model? You could charge 10 cents a transaction or something and make a bundle. the website is ID3MAN.com. The company that owns them is Auditude.com. This would really make an amazing addition to the iTunes software. I am in no way affiliated with the software or the company, FYI.

You can suggest it to Apple through the iTunes feedback page.
But it's pretty unlikely, IMO, that Apple will be interested. Though iTunes supports MP3, Apple's preferred format is AAC, so they're unlikely to want to add an MP3-only utility, particularly when it would help promote piracy (many if not most people with unidentified MP3s got them illegally from Limewire or a similar P2P network).

HELP Identify this MP3 play

Hey guys,
I have had this Creative MP3 player for about a year now. After trying to put up with the pethetic battery life (30mins!) I would like to know what is wrong with it. But I can't even do that because I don't even know what it is called! I have tried the 'Identify your Product' page on this website but that didn't help. So please help me find the real name of this MP3 player and why its got such a bad battery life. All it says on the box is: "Creative Digital MP3 player" its 32mb with the option to add a 64mb MMC to expand it memory. Anyway heres a picture:

Looks like that is the wrong information for the player. The text says that it is for the CD-MP3 00 (which both my sisters own...great player). I will contact the proper authorities to see if we can get this changed.

P.S. The digital MP3 Player name is correct for this product. It was a player that was released in Asia a few years back. I don't think it was ever released in the America's or Europe.

Please help identify Unknown hardware

Can someone please help me to identify a peice of hardware. On The front it says Digital Data Storage, there is the number 3 as well and underneath it says model # 611. I know its a type of storage device but i cant find any documentation. If someone could help i would be very grateful

It is a DDS3 tape drive in a type 611 chassis shell.
If I recall correctly, that chassis shell is also referred to as a Unipak.
You could use if for making backups of your filesystems.
It will be a Single-Ended SCSI device, so you'd need a SCSI adapter card to make it work.
The mechanical components of the tape drive were actually from HP.
(there are only two or three tape drive manufacturers, who make them for everyone)
Each DDS3 tape cartridge can hold approximately 12GB of information; more if file compression software is used.
I cannot give you links to Sun references for that entire assembly,

Quick Mystery-Concerning Music Player

So what I've notice is inside the BBPlaybook folder, some new music folder + mp3 files which I put in the BBplaybook, may not identify a few mp3 clips. So for example, an album which should have 10 songs, may have the 8th-10th song identified, and the first two songs, their names/titles are easily found amoung "All Songs" but their artists and albums are unknown.
I have used, WMP to identify the mp3 files too, which I'm very sure is identified as there is an album art on top of the icon instead of just an mp3 icon. So its very puzzling for me, that the music player is not able to identify the songs, when they already have album name, artist name, year, and etc. identified.
Any clue to why this is happening? I liked the quality of the player but I'm getting disspointed with this identification stupidity.

I keep each albulm in a folder so the pic is seen on the song.
if you copy 50 random songs with no folders, it will assume the std pic unless it is embedded in the MP3 file.

Can't properly set up xorg.conf or 10-monitor.conf

I would like to ask for Your help. I need someone with greater knowledge over Arch than i have. I have problem with either xorg.conf or 10-monitor.conf. As a matter of fact, now xorg.conf is deprecated so more important is 10-monitor conf.
I have nvidia GTX260 card with newest nvidia drivers. I have 2 DVI's on this card, for an exmaple: DVI-0 nad DVI-1. I would like to use them both using dvi-to-hdmi connector on each of them in order to use my 27 LCD monitor and 40 TV, both with hdmi cable plugged into dvi-hdmi connector and to my graphic card.
I can't solve my problem. Don't know what to do in order to having both screen working. If my 27 inch LCD monitor is connected by DVI-DSUB connector, i have signal on screen. If i plug it by dvi-hdmi connector, than i have screen, singal, picture during boot, but GUI won't load, it stays on "running user interface" or something similar. It is because of my settings in 10-monitor.conf. Here is my setup of 10-monitor.conf

As you can see, there are few section named monitor because Arch detects with nvidia drivers, that i have few screens attached, while i haven't. If i change monitor sections than i could have random switching off signal/screen, and either can have pictrure or don't at all, wither with good 19x12 resolution, or changed for a different, streched to right and i can't log in, and change it eithere.
So, i would like to have what i discribed on top. Could somebody point me in good direction? I tried to generate xorg.conf using nvdia-xcofig, than i applied it to 10-monitor.conf but after reboot i got stuck at "running user interface" or gui, there was no KDE greeting login screen - in my opinion because 10-monitor.conf can't detect that screen is attached by dvi-hdmi connector (detect ok with dvi-dsub and my setting of 10-monitor.conf above). So what to do in order to Arch detects dvi-hdmi connector and detects that i have screen in order to being found and in order to log in into login screen?
When i renamed 10-monitor.conf to 10-monitor.conf.bak and rebooted, i get past "running user interface" or logins screen, i have purple-blue kde greeting and could log in but resolution was stretched on right side and i have only "left side" of screen, so i didn't see login "propmt", or login window, and couldn't log in. Tried to kill x and resuming kdm.service but it won't work. Don't see login window on blue-purple loging screen.
I would like to get past this, would like to use dvi-hdmi connector on my 27 LCD monitor, and being able to use the same dvi-hdmi connector for my 40 TV and use them both. Could somebody help me? What do change in 10-monitor.conf, what to add, what to remove? I'm using now only 27 LCD monitor trough dvi-dsub because i can log into login window because it is in the center of the screen, not stretched to righ on dvi-hdmi connector.
It is not fault of the connectors, i tried on Windows and it Works. Want do have it on Arch because i dont use Windows very often.

Heh, i found something so stupid about Arch that i can't believe it. In fact, i'm not able to change it.
I had two screen connected to my new graphic card, i moved from GTX260 to GTX660. One flat panel, LG 27 inch, was connected troug one of the DVI (DVI-I-1) and 40 TV was connected trough second DVI (DVI-D-0). What i found? Well, as a matter of fact, this new graphic has booting sequence order regarding working outs during boot. On HDMI out and on DVI-I-1 when booting there is signal and screen. On DVI-D-0 during booting sequence there is no singal, singnal comes up at login prompt of Windows or Arch. Ok, can live with that.
There is one that i can't. If i want to have working setup of my 27 + 40 flat panels, i have to have 27 connected trough hdmi out, 40 trough something other. I'm not able to have 27 connected to DVI-I-1 and 40 TV to DVI-D-0 because during booting sequence, when there is low resolution, i have screen and singal on 27 flat panel, but when there should come up kde welcome login screen, i don't have it. It stays at terminal, when i see info "sterting upser graphic mode". That's strange! The only way to have booting sequence on 27, and also singal/screen after booting sequence of 27 is to have connected 27 flat panel to hdmi out, not DVI-I-1! Why? Don't know but Arch doesen't want to work that way, no matter what i put in 10-monitor.conf. Tried the same on Windows, no matter which out is being used (hdmi or DVI-I-1), during booting sequence there is singal/screen/picture and after it i can normally log into Windows. In case of Arch, i can't.

I wan't to have both flat panels on DVI outs because i need hdmi for something other. Is there a way to solve it? Strange is that with provided resolution, vertical and horizontal frequencies, on hdmi out i can boot, i can log into Arch (while my other screen is being found, and also i see picture on login screen) but when i use both of DVI outs, i see booting sequences, and than Arch informs me that has started graphic user mode...but it stays at this black screen. What's more strange is that if i delete 10-monitor.conf, connect my 27 LCD to DVI-D-0, and TV to DVI-I-1, than i see booting on Toshiba 40 TV, don't see it on LG 27, after log in i can set proper resoluton for 27 LG, have both screen working, but if i save this settings in 10-monitor.conf, after reboot...the same thing, stays at message that Arch started graphical user mode.
Don't know what's going on. Can somebody check my xorg? Point me? Maybe xinerama is at fault? I want my LG 27 to be cloned on 40 TV.
In big shortcut: during boot on DVI-I-1 i have signal, can't log into gui mode, stays at mentioned screen with info that it started graphic user mode. What to do, or what to put into 10-monitor.conf?

Electronic Signature Field Indicator

We are deploying an eForms application that uses the standard electronic signature field from the Designer object library. The basic process flow is: (1) Form is rendered via an XDP file from the Form Server using the Reader Extensions API to apply rights. (2) User completes the form and signs using the self-signed signature field. The field displays a check-mark indicating the form is signed correctly. (3) User hits "submit" button which invokes a processForm servlet that sends the form as a PDF file attachment within an email to an internal mailbox. Problem: when we open the PDF form in the mailbox, it shows a "?" in the signature field. As you hover over this field, you get the following message: "Signer's identify unknown, the document has been updated since signed". This message will be confusing to our users that will process the PDF form attachment.

I don't believe so. You can of course export the Crystal report to pdf but the electronic signature part would require custom programming.

How can I get iTunes to find dislocated files on my portable hard drive?

I have had to move my music files onto a portable hard drive to save space but now when I plug my portable hard drive in and try to play tunes the exclamation mark comes up. iTunes can identify individual mp3's when I want to play them, through a manual file search, but is it possible for iTunes to find all the music files at once either when I ask it to or even better identify them automatically for me?

It looks like too many changes already had taken place in the 'iTunes Library' file, to start from the original situation.
You can of course restore all the links manually, but you're probably still busy doing that next week.
Try to rebuild the library, using the instructions in this article:

You could loose some information.
BTW. If your library mainly contains MP3's and AAC's and Apple Lossless, you won't loose any track related information (artwork, name, artist, album etc.)
That information is stored inside the song file.
Other information is stored inside the library files.

You already made changes. Some links probably point to the external disk and some point to the internal. So I'm not sure re-creating the library will give satisfactory results. I hope it does of course.
If it's all a mess now, you could consider to start from scratch.
By doing this, you will loose all playlists, ratings, podcast subscriptions etc. but not track related info as mentioned above.
To do this, trash the 'iTunes Library' file and run iTunes. you will start with an empty library. Drag and drop the 'iTunes Music' folder on it.
All music will be added to the library.
Consider this as a last resort. Try re-creating first.

Songs show up as "QuickTime movie file" and won't share or sync

I have a few mp3 audio files in iTunes that aren't being transferred to my iPod (3G) and aren't showing up when I share my iTunes library to another computer, and I can't figure out why.
The filenames have ".mp3" extensions. When I do a 'Get Info' on them in the Finder, they're identified as "MP3 Audio File". Running 'file' on them from a Terminal window says "MP3 file with ID3 version 2.2.0 tag". They play just fine in iTunes as well as in QuickTime Player.
But when I do a 'Get Info' on them from within iTunes, iTunes says each one is a "QuickTime movie file". And when I access this computer's shared music from iTunes on another computer on my network, everything shows up except these tracks; and when I sync my iPod, everything shows up except these tracks. I don't get any error messages.
Why does iTunes think these songs are movie files, and how do I correct it?

Hammerstein identification model problem

Hi, I have a problem with system identification. I am using User-defined model an Hammerstein Model Simulation for identifying "unknown" system. I used LabVIEW example that works fine and I copy it to my VI. System identification is wrong but I don't know why. I can post a an image of VI or eaven VI itself if the problem could be solved. I must also mention that for data acquisition I use OPC client.

If I understood your post, you are using example code that identifies your system correctly. However, once it is integrated into other code the results are wrong. Are you using the same data in both programs? You mentioned that the data is from an OPC client. How is that being read in LabVIEW? Have you verified that those values are correct?
If you could provide a few more details, possibly with code or screenshots, that would help as well.

OPTIARC DVD RW AD-7170A issues with reading DL DVDs

I just wanted to let you know, that after unsuccsesful lens cleanings I did the fw flash.

Unidentified network" with Server 2012 R2 and windows 8- Domain & NIC teaming

i have problem with my network ,before that i had just my domain but now some servers specially win 2012 detect a network (name:network 4)

Hi S.Sanadi,
According to your description, my understanding is that “Unidentified Network” causes problem with joining domain, and this problem will be resolved automatically.
If there is no default gateway or the default gateway is useless, the network will be identified as unknown. Check to see if the IP configuration is correct when the network identified unknown. Open command prompt and type:
Ipconfig /all
If the parameter is correct, try to ping IP address of default gateway and check to see if it works well.
Besides, if the connection should be identified as a Domain network and is not, then the likely causes are failure to contact DNS servers or domain controllers on that interface. Ping the IP address of DNS server and DC to make sure that these resources
are available.

That depends on the operating system you have installed and the CPU\chipset your notebook has. To install the proper drivers, you will have to identify the devices that the notebook has on your own.. I certainly can't do that from afar. That is the downside of buying a notebook without an operating system. You will have to do the legwork, but we will try to guide you.

Hp netserver 10 100tx pci lan adapter driver for windows 7

Hello,
I bought a new notebook HP Pavilion 15-e036sc with windiws 8 (64bit). I uninstalled this windows version and I installed windows 7 (64bit) with servis pack 1, but I can´t connect to internet, because windows haven´t driver for net adapter (hp netserver 10/100tx pci lan adapter). Where is download the driver for my net adapter for windows 7?

Hi pajyn, welcome to the HP Forums. It doesn't appear as though HP offers Windows 7 drivers for your notebook.
HP Pavilion 15-e036sc Notebook PC Drivers
You will have to determine which network module is installed, and find the drivers from the manufacturer, if they exist.
