Identifying XI content components
Hi All,
for the ECC-TM implementation ,XI content has been imported into ESR ,but i am getting how to identify which are all for the
ECC-TM integration to send Stock order Transfers .
AFAIK - For STO, a delivery will be created but not the SO.
For dispatching the deliveries we use below services.
ODP_TransportationRequestSUITERequest_Out
ODP_TransportationRequestSUITECancellationRequest_Out
You can find detailed information on each service @ Enterprise Services for Order and Delivery Integration - Integration of SAP ERP with SAP Transportation Management - SAP…

I have uploaded photos from the past and they are automatically arranged by date. As a result, there are many events grouped into one library/event/folder/album (not sure of the proper terminology) I'd like to separate them into folders/albums/smart albums so that I can easily identify the contents. How do I do that and do I delete the originals?
It would be good to take the tutorials and learn iPhoto - these are for the previous version but the concepts are the same and much of the command is the same - and it would be a worthwhile investment of time to take the iphoto tutorials - http://www.apple.com/findouthow/photos/ - they are very helpful and will save you a lot of time and frustration. - also the tutorials in iPhoto Help will be helpful - while iPhoto is easy and intuitive it does have a learning curve and it will save you time and pain if you spend a few minutes learning the basics
as to organization - events are generally time based and are the basic automatic organization - you can merge and split them to make them work better for you but they are not a good way to do detailed organization - best to leave them time based
albums are logical things that contain photos and are just pointers to the photo in the event so they take no extra space and all changes to a photo anywhere are reflected everywhere
Smart albums are the same except they are automatically filled based on the criteria you set when you create them
Folders are containers that you create and a folder can contain albums, smart albums or other folders so they are a big help in organization - like a vacation folder that holds folders for France, USA, China with each of thos folders holding albums of photos from the country

I'm new to VBA and need to better understand the syntax for identifying, accessing control "value" and setting the value from a user form.
My task is this, I have a word document containing the new Content Controls. I need to be able to access each individual control to initialize a UserForm control. I then need to update the "values of the controls on exiting the UserForm. Can someone
proved some simple sample code showing this functionality? I have surmised that the "range" attribute holds the value of the control but I need the textual or logical value of the control.
Thanks.Hi Gunteacher,
My task is this, I have a word document containing the new Content Controls. I need to be able to access each individual control to initialize a UserForm control. I then need to update the "values of the controls on exiting the UserForm.
What's content control you are using? Based on my understanding, we can indentify the content control by its tag and get the value of content control and initialize the control on the userform in the initialize event of userform. For example,
code below is that get the text of rich text content control:
ActiveDocument.ContentControls(1).Range.Text
And here are some helpful links about content control for your reference:
ContentControl Object (Word)
Working with Content Controls
What did you mean "I then need to update the "values of the controls on exiting the UserForm."? Did you mean that when the values of content control is changed, it should update the control on the user form which was open before?
As far as I know, there is no such event suitable for this secnario. If you want content control to support this event, I suggest that you submit the feedback from the "Smile Face" at the top right corner of Word.

Identifying business content based on requirements from Functional Doc
Hi everyone,
I have a requirement to create technical documents from functional documents that I have received. The funct. docs describe the report to be created however, the fields that the user is looking for are basically in plain English (or atleast what the user sees in Peoplesoft). We are implementing SAP and everything is to be converted from Peoplesoft. The fields are as follows:
Year, YTD, Month, Company Code, Cost Center, GL Account #, GL Account name, Report Date, Actual Amount, Budget Amount, Variance Amount.
The functional doc I feel is incomplete since we dont have the source system table and field names in ECC that correspond to the users fields. Anyway, I think the idea at the moment is to create a first draft TD using Business Content. Can someone please tell me what area they think these fields are from? It looks like FI. Does anyone know of any Business Content objects that may contain the some of the users fields (chances of finding all in say one cube may not be high, am I right?). I am new to BI, so please spell everything out in simple terms and a step-by-step manner. I really appreciate the input of all the experts on this forum.
Thanks. <removed by moderator>.
Edited by: Siegfried Szameitat on Nov 25, 2008 3:44 PMyes MD you are on the right track
But I would advise you to use the ASAP methodology and run blueprint workshops first before even approaching technical specs
If you dont know how the R3 system is structured how can you build a tech spec?
In the workshop there will be functional R3 guys as well as BW consultants and the clients
The clients bring their high level requirements to the table and everybody dicusses it
What you dont want to do is assume that std R3 objects are going to be in place
With the exampel you have given - this may be the only place where budgets have been discussed - the FI guys havent catered for it - so how are you goign to deliver it
I have given you the content areas in my last post I would expect the data to be in - I would suggest you go to the BI content area of help.sap.com and look for each of the areas I have given
Unfortunately there is not enough space here and I dont have enough time to step you through it step by step - thats what Principal BW consultants and architects on your projects are for - talk to them.
If you haven't got any - I suggest your project manager better go out quickly and hire some.
I would strongly advise you to gointo solution manager or sdn and grab hold of the latest ASAP accelerators and ppts - they will help guide you through functional requirements gathering - btu to be quite honest you shoudln't be doing this yourself if you are new to BW
(oh and every wondered why clients pay top dollar for good BW consultants - this is the reason why) -
A tick to identify watched content would be useful
Would be useful if BT could flag in someway content that has been watched by you or your famiy. Not so much an issue for mum and dad but find myself in long conversations with the kids when selecting content for them to watch regarding if they have or have not watched. TOPUPTV used to display a tick next to programmes you had watched which was useful. Not sure if there are technoogy constraints with implementing this with BTV.
Hi Bellboy,
Thanks for posting that idea. I'll pass it back to our vision guys.
Cheers
David

Is there a parametric lookup feature to identify components
Since there are many part numbers that do not exist in the database, there needs to be a parametric part search function to identify suitable substitute components for simulations. Is this function available? If not, can such data be extracted from the database models? The electrical specifications are key, not post-design physical/footprint data. Identifying a range of part numbers can decrease design/simulation time.
Thank You Tien
I suspected that would be the answer. I feel this is a much needed addition to greatly enhance useability. Of course, semiconductors are the focus. As an instructor, the lab manuals often use components not in the db. I typically use a distributor site to find components with similar specs, then back to Msim to see if it exists. If it does, the simulation may not be what is expected and the cycle repeats to find another similar part. This can take a long time.
For the actual component to be purchased, it ultimately comes down to price since students will have to pay for the parts. But for the simulation, a similar part is usually good enough IF one can be identified. That is the crux of the problem It would be very nice if one could take the opposite approach whereby the useable Msim parts are identified parametrically first, then simulations run, then go to the distributors for the most cost effective solution.
In our preliminary circuit design approach, general part values are spec'd, distributor sources are compared for suitable components, possible part numbers are identified, then the lookup cycle between Msim/vendors begins. I would note here that it is preferred that your proven models be the basis for simulations rather than creating new models for parts not in the db and that prototype/test resolves the final part values.....
I have to believe that NI has a db with commercial Msim part numbers being used along with their key electrical specs already, yes? And if not, your tight integration with certain vendors should permit an exchange of information (a text dump). This may be overload for the function window. A db/spreadsheet view similar to the vendors seems a better fit for such information display. I will keep my fingers crossed for a future version of Msim. -
Communicating two webdynpro components within same DC
Hi ,
I m working on webdynpro DC project. I am having several webdynpro components in same DC. webdynpro component WD1 is used by other webdynrpro components in same DC. and depending upong which components is using WD1 , diaplay of WD1 need to be changed. Therefore to identify which webdynpro components is firing plug to WD1 i have created one value attribute in interface controller of WD1 , and mapping tht attribute to views which are going to fire plug for WD1. But when i m firing plug aftr setting value to tht attribute i mfetting unknown context exception error at line which issetting value to tht value attribute. Can anybody tell me how cn i resolve this issue???

1) Go through the following link to check whether you are following all the steps required to be able to communicate between 2 components:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/60132577-7801-2b10-c9b1-b13b2f78f23b
2) Check whether there is no change in the model structure at the backend.
3) The problem can also be due to incorrect mapping.
4) Check you have added all the jars as told here:

How do you get your content in front of the right people?
"Outbound Content Marketer of the Year, Joe Chernov (VP of content at HubSpot) told me: Marketers always ask me how to make more or better content, and it’s almost always the wrong question. The right question is: “How do I get my content in front of the right people?” - Forrester's Ryan Skinner
Forrester published a very interesting report in October called "Put Distribution at the Heart of Content Marketing" (here's the related Forrester blog post). My VP shared the report with me and asked me to review and research a key content distribution strategy potentially leveraging the key technologies that are listed in the report. These technologies focus on helping identify influencers, publish content on targeted media properties and publish content if it ranks highly. I have to admit, this is somewhat new territory for me - I've yet to really focus on content distribution strategies across the entire buyer/customer lifecycle and although I've used one or two of these technologies personally, others I've only heard of and some I just flat-out had to Google.
In true intrapreneurial spirit, I starting working through the research phase - I'm actually still working through it - and as I do, I can't help but to start mentally creating a blueprint of sorts... Imagining our technology roadmap interwoven with a content distribution strategy to create and drive a valuable buyer/customer experience (to acquire, keep and grow, of course). Ideally, we'd be able to accomplish all of the above points to significantly - and intelligently - extend our reach moving forward. So, back to the the Forrester report... To help more holistically drive content distribution, Forrester recommends creating a "distribution boss" and linking that person to content creation. I like it. To even further boost success of content marketing initiatives, Forrester suggests: (and I'm paraphrasing liberally here):
1. Your distribution boss needs to be a left-brained analyst with a right-brained way with words
2. Borrow some $$ from your content creation budget for some content promotion
3. Encourage a BFF relationship between your PR and media teams and your content marketing teams
Bottom (or should I say "top") line? I'm looking forward to our organization developing a more scientific content distribution strategy in 2014. Can I get an "amen!"? So, what are you and your teams doing to take a more scientific approach to content distribution in 2014? Or what are you currently doing? I look forward to Topliners feedback!
Cheers!
Kristin
P.S. Technologies currently under review:
- Include your influencers in a distribution strategy: Little Bird, Klout, PeerIndex
- Look to specific vendors to push content on publisher’s sites: Outbrain, Sharethrough, Taboola
- Identify social content winners and invest to amplify reach on the networks that work: SimpleReach
- Keep an eye on emerging technologies for content visibility and distribution: TrendSpottr
- Others: Parse.ly
CC: marilyncoxAlessia,
I agree! In our current blog consolidation project, we're implementing Google Authorship for all our bloggers and we're currently evaluating how to best leverage Deltek's Google+ channel w/in our content strategy. Our PR/Social Director is not a fan - I'm working on, I mean with, her to see the possibilities. -
PDF content disappears during tagging process
Have PDF document but no source document. Automatic tagging step ("Add tags to document") in Acrobat 9 Pro causes some of the content (some but not all Paths) to disappear from the page visually and from the Content panel, and changes the positioning of some but not all of the text content. Observation of the Content before tagging does not reveal any special feature of the Paths that disappear. I am experienced in the use of the TouchUp Reading Order tool, but have not tried much manual tagging yet in this document.
Any suggestions about what might be wrong, and a work-around?
Especially useful would be a way to modify the content before auto tagging, because the work-arounds that we have considered so far are labor-intensive and error-prone. (E.g., conversion of each problem page to an image, then using OCR to identify text content.)
This problem is not identical to another problem with disappearing content, namely, occasional visual disappearance of content upon creation of artifacts. In that case, the content generally has not disappeared from the Content panel, but is hidden on the visual page by content that is rendered later. The solution is to move the artifact objects in the Content panel, so that they are listed first on the page and are rendered first.Jasmin,
]yes, when i open it in browser then i dont face this issue. but when i open not in browser then it is showing error.
I have added entire features of reader extension but still i get this error message.\

"Content Less" workflows with WebCenter Content
Hi,
"BPEL Process Engine" comes along with WebCenter Content for restricted use (for developing workflows/processes within or between WebCenter Content components only).
And as per the documentation only Basic (human triggered workflows with a document etc) and Criteria (auto triggered by an event - uploading a document etc.)
But, can we create a workflows without a document/content? E.g. a simple workflow of leave application where no document upload is required. Or a simple process for Customer on-board where there is no document involved.
Can anybody help me in understanding this?Hi ,
For that you would have to set Metadata Only check-in which does not need a primary file . What it does is use the check-in form details and creates a file by itself (without having used any primary file) and creates the assets .
So , from the WF point of view there need not have any changes . Only thing is from WCC check-in side .
For details please check the following links:

after development how is content transfered from devlop sys to qual sys if we go to sys admin>transport export -->how to identify the content that we developed --
Hello Samyuktha,
You can create the .epa file from these iViews and import this .epa file in another portal.
For converting the business objects into the .epa file please refer to this link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c6/0f6fbbee629a43aca05c38db556b5d/frameset.htm
For transporting first you have to create packages. You can do so by follow these steps:
System Administration -> Transport -> Transport Packages -> Export.
After that on the other portal Server perform these steps:
System Administration -> Transport -> Transport Packages -> Import.
Now all the content will be transported to ur new system.
However you have to create Systems and Jco connections again.
Hope this helps!
