Identity Management iView Height on Light Desktop

I cannot seem to find where to change the properties for the Identity Management Web Dynpro (under the User Administration role) so that it will display the full page height instead of the default fixed height of 80 pixels.
I have checked throughout the PCD, but am unable to locate the appropraite Web Dynpro or its settings.
This height displays correctly using the default desktop, but the iView is cut off using the light desktop.

Hi Bill.
You can adjust properties of  Identity Management iView by this way:
1. Navigate to PCD > Content Provided by SAP > Admin Content > User Administrators > User Admin role
2. Open User Admin role for edit.
3. Select Identity Management iView (under User Administration workset)
4. Click button Properties
5. Adjust properties according to your needs (Height Type > Full Page)
6. Click Save
However, I suggest using Default Framework Page for administrative tasks.

  • JmxSecurityException when using Identity Management

Search or 'create new user' in Identity Management iView results in the following error:

  • Customize the Identity Management Web Dynpro iView

    Hi SDN
I need to customize the Identity Management Web Dynpro iView in order to add certain functionalities to the application.  I would also like to know  the path from where this type of standard application needs to be downloaded. Please let me know if there is a way to download this project into Netweaver Developer Studio and modify it.
    Thanks in Advance
    Basha

    Hi Basha,
As you are trying to modify a standard Webdynpro application, I believe that we can achieve that with the help of JDI only. Once you have that configured in NWDS then you can call the standard wdp project to modify. Ofcourse, I don't have a solution as I too am new to it and trying with it now

  • HSPD-12 and Identity Management

    Hi ,
What is SAP proposing for solution for HSPD-12 ?
Any information on Identity Management , will help me .
    Thank you .

Perfect - thanks for the additional info.
What you need to do is look into the OAM developers guide and read up on the Access Manager SDK. It is a toolkit that allows you to perform all the same operations that WebGate is specialized to do but from your own code context. This includes the maintenance or creation of user session state as maintained in the session token. This is the same token value that is stored in the ObSSOCookie that you are familiar with.
Using this knowledge, if I have a user with a valid session in a browser - I can pass that cookie into the desktop context and know who the user is by parsing the cookie value with the SDK. Likewise, if my desktop app collects creds from the user and creates a session token, this value can be manually placed into an HTTP cookie and set into a new browser session.
My only advice with this is to take your time to fully understand the API before you throw something half baked into you app. Session state is subject to idle and max session timeouts, for example. Session time params are updated in the session token with every authZ request...
That said, it is a brilliant system. Once you wrap your mind around the idea that you can build your own AccessGate, the world is your oyster.
I have also seen folks stand up a centralized we service that implements AccessGate functionality - that may be a lighter weight model to pursue depending on how you deploy your app.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Mark

  • Looking for recommendations for SSO using Identity Management Suite

Apparently there is more than one way to perform the single sign on functionality and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations. We want to use the user's CAC to authenticate and we are using both a thick and a thin client with business intelligence software (not Oracle) for reporting and the thick app needs to login, transfer data to and pull data from the database. We don't want the user to have to enter their information for login regardless of which piece of the application they are accessing. I was considering Enterprise Users, but not sure this is the best solution.
We plan on using OID to store the user's data and using the identity management with access manager suite. We need to use label security and row level security combined with roles in the database. We plan on using Oracle's Advanced security option for encryption and we are using 11g database

Great questions - swifer was made by me for me to use with arch.  But its dependencies are light and very common (you almost certainly have them already), so it should run on other distros well.  It does use something comparable to profiles for secure networks but much simpler - they are just wpa_supplicant.conf segments, but swifer writes them itself for simple cases (and most cases are simple cases; wep is a current exception) so generally you would have to pay no attention to them.
As for permissions on the files, I've been meaning to get around to that - they've been 0644, but I just changed it to 0600 in the last revision which is now on github.
EDIT: also keep in mind this is a development version.  I use it myself as my only networking tool on a netbook that I bring everywhere - and I have no issues.  But I also know how to connect manually in a bind: and I advocate for every user knowing the manual steps (ip, iwlist (if needed), iw / wpa_supplicant, dhcpcd/dhclient).

  • E-Business Suite 11i with ESSO and Identity Manager

    Hi,
We want to use Identity Manager to provision user information to Active Directory, MS Exchange, and E-Business Suite. Also, intend to deploy e-sso to provide single sign-on experience for desktop and web based applications.
Has anyone integrated Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 with Enterprise Single Sign-On and Identity Manager (Identity Management)?
Can we achieve it without using Oracle Internet Directory/OracleAS 10g Single Sign-On?
Any relevant information or issues faced during integration, would be helpful.
    Regards.

    Hi,
for this integration you will need Provisioning Gateway component of the ESSO suite, and the included OIM-ESSO PG Connector.
The eBusiness Java interface can be integrated with eSSO, trough the java helper object.
There are several metalink notes that describe the OIM-PG integration:
NOTE: 550639.1 eSSO: Overview And Troubleshooting Of OIM Integration With Provisioning Gateway
NOTE: 550642.1 eSSO: OIM PG Integration: ProvisioningInstructionException: The user is not authorized for the action
NOTE: 550645.1 eSSO: OIM PG Integration: Error in Sending Request to web service
NOTE: 550646.1 eSSO: OIM PG Integration: Unsupported major.minor version 49.0
NOTE: 550641.1 eSSO: OIM PG Integration: Add_credential Execution Failed. Error: XPathFactory
NOTE: 550643.1 eSSO: OIM PG Integration: Could not find IT asset value for Svr_key
Yes, with eSSO-OIM you wont need Oracle Internet Directory/OracleAS 10g Single Sign-On.

  • Federated identity management  on SAP IDM

    Hi Guys
Does SAP IDM support federated Identity Management.  If so can you give some configuration documents or how exactly it is possible?.
Please shed some lights into this.
    Thank you.

    Hi All,
SAP support have confirmed the following.
SAP NetWeaver has some federation capabilities with varying
support in different components (SAML 1.1) SAML 2 support
is planned in a future release.
SAP NetWeaver Identity Management does not have federation
support on its own. This could be introduced in future releases.
Does Any one know how SAML 1.1 support Federation capabilities?  Which all sap netweaver platforms have them?

  • ESS iviews height / size issue

    Hi,
My ESS iViews (Web Dynpro Java) are appearing not in full height in the content area but a vertical scroll bar appears on right side. I tried following setting, though none worked:
    - Height type to "Automatic" for both iView and Page and resetting Maximum Automatic height to a higher value i.e. 1500 pixels.
    - Height type to "Full Page" for both iView and Page.
    - Height type to "Fixed " for both iView and Page, setting "Fixed Height" value to higher value, 1500 pixels.
    - Hight type to "Fixed" for Page, setting "Fixed Height" value to higher value, 1500 pixels and iView Height type to "Full Page".
    - Hight type to "Fixed" for Page, setting "Fixed Height" value to higher value, 1500 pixels and iView Height type to "Automatic".
    - Setting iView Isolation method to "URL" instead of "Embedded".
I searched the forum thoroughly for solutions, thus resulting in above Permutations but none worked.  I tried searching for any suitable SAP Notes but could not find any for Web Dynpro Java, though there are a few for Web Dynpro ABAP.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Aditya.

    Hi All,
I tried with clearing the navigation cache and browser cache, opened the delta-linked iView from Page object and found same height values as that of iView object. This problem is appearing right since the ESS BP was installed. No changes were made to the framework page or desktop inner page. Other standard and custom iviews are appearing fine.
Is there anything from SPRO configuration (Homepage framework) that drives the iView/Page Appearance-Size property ?
I tried several combinations as mentioned above but of no avail.
Any help would be highly appretiated.
    Thanks,
    Aditya.

  • Create database using mxmc-install.cmd + installing identity management

    Hi all,
We planned to install a identity management on a existing bi sever as a separate instance.I got the installation documents in service market place.
    https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_SHORTKEY=01100035870000706149&
I started installing the database using the document
"Installing the Identity Center Database on Oracle".
I executed  mxmc-install.cmd/mxmc-install.sh file .It is asking for the net service name.
"Enter Net service name (if remote database): "
What value should i provide here?
Since the database for IDM is not yet created , we thought that the script will create the database for the IDM.  So we decided to give
sid for IDM as c24 and entered the passwords for user id like system etc. But at the end it came up with an error
    ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"
This error comes when the database entries are not there in tnsnames.ora and listners.ora. But we have not yet created the database and we were try to create a new database.
So seeing this, does we need to manually create a new database
with DBSID c24 and then execute the script?
Does we need to do anything else before using the script mxmc-install.cmd  ?.
Please shed some light into the issue.
    thanx and regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh
You need to install a new database using net configuration assistant.

  • Confusion with a current state of Oracle Identity Management

I would like to know if anyone has successfully implemented the complete suite of IdM. If yes, please share this experience. I want to clarify the definition of "successful integration". It should include the following:
    - SSO for Partner applications
    - SSO for External (third parties) applications
    - Provisioning and Synchronization
    - Delegated Administration
    - WNA with Kerberos
    - SAML implementation (optional)
I would appreciate all answers on this subject

To restart from your initial question, it's quite strange because the components you mention are all included in the AS10g Enterprise Edition or in AS10g Portal, and are perfectly integrated. I know numerous customers which use Oracle Portal, for instance, and leverage on SSO (patner or external), Delegated Administration (DAS) , Synchro with AD server and Windows native authentication, without a single line of specific code. Provisioning is done automatically by DIP in the case of Portal with AD, as well, or with a Human resource system. Even the password synchro can be made betwwen AD and OID (Oracle LDAP)
Now, it's a sligthy different discussion if we consider the recent acquisitions made by Oracle, and which are sold in the so call : Oracle Identity management 10g.
OAM (previously Oblix) is a more ambitious product that Oracle SSO.
OIM (provisioning and identity management) is far more sophisticated than Oracle DIP.
The goal, for Oracle, is to unify the workflow engine and the Human interface (with ADF). This task is probably on the rails for the next year.
OVD (previously OctetSting) is an architectural component which allow virtualisation of LDAP server.
About Federation, OIF allow all existing Oracle Portal customer (using SSO) to rely on SAML tokens in order to trust partners site.
So, in my opinion, acquisitions oblige to make a substantial effort to unify human interface and make arbitration between some concepts, but it's within the Oracle means.

  • Plans to Open Source Identity Manager

Hello all! Are there plans to open-source Identity Manager much as Sun has done for Access Manager (OpenSSO) and Federation Manager (OpenFM). :-)
    Best,
    --John

In next future, Identity Manager will be in open source. But, Access Manager, I don't have news.
    Regards.
