Identity Preference Tool for Keychain

My office is moving to a CAC-only log-in system, and I'm developing some tools and procedures to get our Mac users compliant with this new system.
I've managed to get compliance on all Macs running 10.5.x, but for Macs running 10.4.x, we need to be able to create some Identity Preferences for our web-based VPN sites.
I read in the message below that Shawn Geddis has a tool for manually creating Identity Preferences in 10.4.x:
http://lists.apple.com/archives/Fed-talk/2007/Nov/msg00045.html
Does anyone know how I can get a copy of that tool? The links I've found don't work:
Bad Link - http://web.mac.com/geddis/
Thank you.

Hi TRON,
Did you try the email addy at that link...
Request
If anyone is willing to send me email (to: *geddis [at] *** [dot] com)* directly stating the following which you can gather from the System Profiler Report, it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Identity Preferences on Mac (Keychain)

Is it possible to use Keychain Access Identity Preferences to configure the Horizon View Client to select a predetermined certificate/username and password for connecting to a server?
For example, if I am attempting to connect to a server, the application will get the log in information from Keychain and proceed, or at least pre-fill the username or select a certificate that is setup within Keychain.
I know this is pretty simple to do with a website, but did not know if this is supported or possible with the Horizon View Client.
    Thanks for the assistance.

And to do with the OS under which they are released.
    For "The Movies",
an 800MHz CPU under Win98 is pretty **** fast, but load 2000 Pro, XP or Vista on an 800MHz and you're toast, even before you try to run the game.
On the Mac, "The Movies", released 5-6 years after the windows version, has either been written to take advantage of OSX 10.4, or maybe just tested under OSX 10.4, but in any case, because of the modern OS, it needs a lot more CPU.
It's also entirely likely, that because of the years waiting, the Mac version is better than the Windows version released all those years ago. This was true for all the SimCity versions up to SimCity 4 (SimCity 3 was awful on both plaforms) and the Civilization games. It may also be true for some of the Aspyr original games, rather than the vast number of ports they've written, ie. The Movies.

  • How do I change the secure phone number for keychain?

    Hi
I was setting up keychain and put in the wrong phone number. Now some random keeps getting my Verification Code for Keychain sent to them.
How do I change this please?!
    Thank you!

To change the number on (from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4644):
Devices using iOS 7.0.3 or later: Tap Settings > iCloud > Account, then tap Keychain. Check that the phone number listed under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
Macs using OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later: Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Check that the phone number listed under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.

  • Using iCloud (for calendar and contacts) AND MobileMe for Keychain

Does anyone who's migrated to iCloud know if it's possible to sync Address Book and Calendar through iCloud and the Keychain through MobileMe (on a separate account)?
    Situation is as follows:
I have two accounts - one MobileMe (which I use today for calendar and contact syncing) and an Apple ID (which I used for iTunes)
I wish to convert the iTunes account to an iCloud account
That leaves me with my un-converted MobileMe which I'd like to continue to use for Keychain syncing until Apple puts that functionality in iCloud or they retire MobileMe.
I guess - the nub of the question is - is it still possible to access the MobileMe preference pane and put in a different account when iCloud is up and syncing?
    Thanks in advance, Jonathan.

    SaltSeaShark,
I've looked at the iDisk and there's no way to do it automatically.  However when you're back at your home iMac, you can copy the files that you find in ~/Library/Keychains onto your iDisk.  Then when you're at your friend's iMac, you can copy the *.keychain files in your iDisk to the ~/Library/Keychain folder on your friend's machine (in the account that you're using).
That way - you can open your keychain locally - although it won't sync backwards and forwards.  An alternative is to use a third-party product such as 1Password - of which there's an iPad app - as well as a web interface (when combined with Dropbox).
    Hope that helps - Jonathan.

  • What is the best tool for updating an existing Domain?

What I want to do is create an installation program that updates an existing domain
with a new server and a new application targeted to that server. The installation
program has to work with any valid domain and needs to be easy for the end-user.
Using a script to extend an existing domain using the configuration wizard insilent mode seems like a real good approach. The problem is that a Server is NOT
a configuration object type available when extending an existing domain. So I
can’t add a new server to an existing domain with this approach.
Using ANT tasks – wlconfig and wlserver would probably do the trick. The issuehere is that the domain admin server must be running, and my preference is that
this not be the case. Using JMX has the same issue.
So what I’m I left with in terms of tools? Anything? Or do I have to manipulatethe config.xml file directly? Is this a good idea?
Has anyone else faced a similar scenario, and what solution did you come up with?
    Thank You

ANT and wlconfig is a way.
config.sh has an off-line tool for updates.
whshell is an alternative to ANT.
We are working on a solution to unify all of this in Diablo.

  • How can I stop being harrased for keychain passwords

How can I stop being harassed for keychain passwords?  All my key chain passwords and my login are the same. I am asked for address book, calendar, safari, mail, iMessage, just to name a few.

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

  • Advantage and disadvantages of SAP IDM & Microsoft Identity management Tool

    Hi Folks,
I am looking some points on SAP IDM and Microsoft tool for Identity Management. I am looking below mention points.
    1. Difference in the feature and prize.
    2. Limitation
    3. Solution architecture for both
    Relevant answers will be rewarded.
    Regards,
    Akshay Shail

    Hi,
I can add some points about SAP NW IdM. Regarding your question about the prize: If you only connect SAP systems (it can handle all types of SAP ABAP and SAP Java Systems) they don't charge you extra, because it's already in the NetWeaver license. Furthermore, if you use the SAP Central User Administration: It isn't further developed and will be replaced by SAP NW IdM.
The systems you mentioned can be connected, I think these are basics for everey IdM solution. HR interation is possible with SAP IdM, don't know about the other solution in this point.
There are some whitepapers and presentations about SAP NW IdM: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-identitymanagement?rid=/webcontent/uuid/f0b68fb1-d8af-2a10-2a8e-cc431c15bb39&anchor=section2.
Nevertheless, your question about limitations and solution architecture probably needs a PoC if you want to answer them in deep.
    Best regards,
    Nils

  • How do i stop Mail asking for Keychain password?

I have my Keychain set up with a password.
I'd like to allow Mail access to the relevant parts of the Keychain WITHOUT needing me to enter my password all the time.
    How do I do it?
So far I've gone into Keychain Access, found my mail (IMAP & SMTP) passwords and added Mail to the list of applications to always grant access to, but it's still asking for my password.
Could it be due to my @me.com email? If so, what do I need to grant access to as I can't see any specific IMAP/SMTP me.com passwords.
    thanks,

  • Right tool for the job?

    Hello,
before I spent too much time investigating AM, could someone please answer me if it is the right tool for my scenario.
What I need is SSO solution, that supports:
    - authentication with username /password, X509 cert, maybe even kerberos
    - the system needs to authenticate internal users (eg. AD users wih kerberos) and external users (eg. username / password)
    - the system is SOA oriented, all business logic is implemented in web services
    - if user invokes a web service, she needs to be authenticated, and her identity must be known to web service
    - so far I think there's no problem, right?
    - now, the first web service needs to call another web service. I need to pass original user identity further down the service-call-chain. Possible?
    - as a side feature, I'd like AM to provide additional user properties (principals?), eg. external user's company name
Is this the job for AM or do I need another tool?
    Kind regards
    Jernej

  • Keychain First Aid won't repair and will ask me for keychain agent password

    Hi everyone:
Background: I changed my Apple Id password after updating to OS X Mavericks. Soon after that, OS X sometimes asks me for keychain password (not always), sometimes at the beginning and when I use Safari, or try to access to Icloud (which I can only access online on safari) through system preferences.
    Problem #1:
    -  When I use First Aid Keychain and enter my User name and password, two options appear: Verify and Repair.
    - If I hit verify, some things appear in black, some other in red and some in blue, the following things appear:
        In red:
~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain (is not a valid keychain file).
       In Blue:
Keychain password of  ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain (100022) not verified
Adjustments of  ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain (100022) were not read (couldn´t been read)
      In Red
~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain (-25295) was not opened (couldn´t been opened)
Problems have been found. Select repair.
      Verification error.
    - Then, if i hit repair It will ask me "for keychain agent password".
And honestly I never (that I remember) created a keychain agent password. Where can i find that?, what kind of password is that? What I know is that it is not my Apple Id password or anything close to it.
    Problem #2
    - If try try to restore my default keychain by selecting Preferences - General, it will tell me that the "keychain has not been found". And wont restore anything.
I must say that I have read many of the discussions available and many of Apple suggested solutions, and nothing seems to help.
Any help would be deeply apreciated.
Best regards. (Sorry for my english, not a native speaker, my computer is in spanish and did my best to translate what I have seen)
    Macbook Air, OS X 10.9, 2 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1600 Mhz DDR3

Hi John (it´s me again sorry!)
I did what you suggested using Safe Mode (I actually did it following http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14204 for oS X Mavericks).
    I followed the same steps that I have done before;
    - Before deleting I used First aid Keychain and what I got was the following:
    - Then I hit repair and I got the following:
    - After that I decided to delete Login Keychain (the empty square), it was gone. I restarted my computer in normal mode. Once I did that what I see now is the following:
    - Maybe I missed something, and I still cant see the padlock in login, and no way no decipher whats going on.
    PERHAPS THE FOLLOWING IS RELATED:
    - If try log into ICloud through System Preferences the following pops up after entering my Apple ID and Password:
    - If I select Reset to Defaults I get the following (even if I select cancel):
    - And after that I get the following:
Could that be related? Thank you very much again and sorry for too many images.
    All the best!

  • Monitoring Tool for OAM 10g

    Hi all,
I am trying to find all possible ways to monitor a OAM 10g server.. From the documentations I read about SNMP Monitoring.. So I installed the SNMP Agent in the machine where OAM is installed.. And I came to know how to enable SNMP Monitoring in OAM 10g..
    I am drafting my understandings.. please correct me if I am worng;
    - The SNMP Agent that is installed in the OAM machine will gather the monitoring information
    - The Agent will send the information via SNMP to a master application
If my understanding is correct, these are my questions for which I need your answers; :)
    1. Do I need to install any third party tools like Tivoli or Sun SunNet Manager to which the SNMP Agent will send the information??
    2. My task is to create a custom monitoring application for OAM 10g. Can u please suggest me a best way to do this..
    3. Is there any other way to monitor the Identity and Access Server..
    Thank you :)

The Identity Management Pack for Enterprise Manager provide central Monitoring of most of the IAM component (included OAM) and should provide soon monitoring of all IAM component in version 11g. So if you are looking at a complete solution this is a good way to go.
