We just upgraded out test RAS 9 server with Windows 2003 OS, and now the Crystal Report Application Server service won't start.  We're getting a 1053 error.   Is Crystal RAS 9 compatible with Windows 2003 server?

I do not believe 6X is supported in a 64 bit environment.
IF you are doing a fresh install on a different server, it should be easy to migrate your applications using the migration wizard in EAS. You can migrate applications, security everything except data. TO do that the easiest way is to export it and import into the application on the ner server.

    Hello
Im wondering that you want to install Windows server on a notebook...
Anyway, this is a known issue and does also happen on XP and Vista. To solve this you have to use the SATA driver for the notebook or you change the SATA mode in BIOS from AHCI to compatible, then you dont need a driver.
Here are some instructions that could be useful for you:
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htm
Im not sure if you will get a driver for Server 2003 but you can try the XP driver and in worst case you have to use the compatible mode.
Let me give you a word of advice: If you have more questions, use the forum search. You will hundreds of threads about this.

    Hi
I have been struggling with the TREX installation on Windows 2003 server and are note able to get the green icon for the HTTP server.
I have been searching this Forum and seen a lot of topics on this issue, but unfortunately I am not able to solve it.
On my server I have installed the following components:
    EP stack 14
    SAP R/3
    SAP ITS
If anyone have any ideas of how to solve my case - I will be very pleased

    Hi
We have managed to solve this issue
First i set the security settings for my trex_instance folder "C:\usr\sap\trex_06". Here i added the user IWAM_"MyHost" which is the "Launch IIS Process Account". Gave it the permissions for "Read & Execute, List Folder Content, Read" and then hit the button "Advanced" - selected the user once more and "Apply" - "OK" - "OK".
In the IIS and its properties for Web Sites and Services i set the checkbox for "Run WWW service in IIS 5.0 isolation mode".
Restarted the IIS and the TREX HTTPServer went green and I was also able to use the ITS.

  • Oracle 9i on Windows 2003 server - DBCA error

    1. This is the error message that I get when I am trying to install the 9.2.0.3 software in a new oracle home. There is a 10g database which sits in a different Oracle home. The OUI runs smoothly until it comes to the point where the Database Config Assistant tool starts running and then I get this error and the installer hangs. Could anyone let me know why I might be getting this error.

FYI - I have installed the OUI patch Oracle Universal Installer release 2.2.0.18.0 for Windows and the Oracle9i Database Release 2 (9.2.0.3.0) Patch Set for Windows after I installed the 9.2.0.1 database software.
I then tried to run the DBCA tool from the 'Start > Programs>Oracle 9ihome>' menu to create the new Oracle 9.2.0.3 database but the DBCA assistant would not start up.
    2. I have a related question:
Has anybody performed a downgrade of Oracle 10g database to Oracle 9.2.0.3 database using export/import?
Can you perform a full database export of the Oracle 10g database using the 9.2.0.3 export utility and then perform a full database import into Oracle 10g? I have read some documentation that states this is not possible. Can anyone verify or confirm how they did this migration? So is the only option then to perform a table or user level export?
Also, if both the databases reside on the same Windows 2003 server box, how can you ensure that the source database files are not overwritten?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vishal.

It only happens when you have oracle 10g and Oracle 9i on the same machine.
You can run 9i dbca successfully, if you rename the 10g "orasrvm.DLL" found in any 10g BIN directory. Rename it back after you are 9i dbca is complete.

  • How to install 11.5.10 on VMWare with Windows 2003 Server?

Need help on installing 11.5.10 on VMWare which runs Windows 2003 Server.
I've XP Pro laptop with 2GB RAM and 80GB HDD and external HD with 250GB. Gathered all required s/w for installation.
The Win 2003 Server VMWare is sitting on the external HD. I want to install pre-req s/w along with 11.5.10 on the VMWare.
    (1) How do I make the laptop's CD drive and HD visible to the VMWare?
    (2) Can I use the XP laptop HD as staging area and install on VMWare on external HD?
    (3) What are the disadvantages/risks of using the external HD for both staging and actual installation?
    Any help is appreciated.
FYI - we already have an Oralce 11.5.9 on VMWare. All services are up and running. Able to logon to SQL*Plus and EBS home page. The issue is, we are not able to connect to this Oralce VMWare image from other VMWare image(Siebel), ie, if we do a telnet to oracle vmware image connection establishes and closes immediately. No clue on why this is happening. But this is not happening when we did telnet from a vmware image(plain win 2003 server) that does not have Siebel. All vmware images work fine individually.
    Any inputs?

  • Import ECC6 using DB2 9.5 in Windows 2003 server got error in Phase Insatlla database soft ware .

    Hi Expert,
When i am going to import ECC6 in windows 2003 server  using DB9.5 i got error in phase Install data base software  like below.
Invalid command line argument. consult the windows installer SDK for detailed command line help.
Please help me for this error.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Thanks
    J Jana

'invalid command line argument' - Most probably the SAPinst is not able to find the right path for the DB2 UDB DVD or the the argument is too long to interpret which is a very common problem during installations.
Check the path for db2 DVD, and keep it shorter - that means you have to reduce the number of folders where the DVD resides. Copy the DVD in a short path let's say C:\DB2\dvdname and re-try installation by giving the new path of dvd in SAPinst.
    Thank you.

  • DLU with Windows 2003 server

I am going to be blustery only to provide you with the most info as
    possible.
I have setup a Windows 2003 server for terminal services. Installed the
latest Novell Client 4.9 sp2, nici, nmas. I installed the latest
    zfdagent.msi from zfd4.01.ir7.
The setup is similar to any WindowsXP machine and I have done this a
thousand times. I have verified that the DLU policy set for the container
includes a DLU for Windows 2000 and Windows 2000 Terminal Services. Okay I
should be able to login and have zenworks create a local users acount but
    it does not.
Here are the differences that may effect the proper operation of desktop
    management:
    a. I have this terminal server setup as a member server in our AD domain -
only to connect to the TS License Manager.
    b. I have setup the Netware client location policy | login profile |
Windows Tab | to login in to the local Win2k3 server NOT the domain - and
of course the username field is empty.
    c. Then I install the ZfdAgent.msi - when the intsaller gets to the
MiddleTier section - I usally click next and ignore this area, however
this time around the installer will not continue unless I enter an IP
address into the Middle Tier server field.
Other than the above - fairly standard install.
    Any help appreciated.
    Regards
    Ross.

Windows 2003 is not supported with ZfD4.x.
You must use at least the Agent from Zen 6.5.

  • Is WebI 2.7.5 compatible with Windows 2003 Server?

Currently have WebI 2.7.5 installed on a Windows 2000 Server and working fine.
Is WebI 2.7.5 compatible with a Windows 2003 Server?
    Thank you.

    Hi Craig,
    - Not supported means that particular version of Operating System is officially not tested (Product Group has not tested any report with that version) i.e. it may or may not work at users end.
    - If it woks at your end and you will get some issues (like error message or other server related issues) then BO support will not able to assist you as the version of OS which you are using is not officially tested at BOu2019s end.

  • Authentication with Windows 2003 server

    Hi there,
I am looking for achieve this task. I would like to know How I could authenticate users accesing by my wireless network? I mean in windows 2003 server. They must type their username and password. I want to restricted users which are not on the list to access by my wireless network. I know that in windows 2000 I could use radius server. Could I use it here?.
Also, I guess that I have to allow these "new users" in AD.
I am looking forward to read helpfull information here and of course I will give it a rate (points)
    Any ideas are welcome.
    Thanks
    Wladimir

Same thing for 2003, it is called IAS (Internet Authentication Service).
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/network/ias/default.mspx
Basically you will set up IAS with a RADIUS Client which would be your wireless access point(s). Then you will set up a remote access policy which will define how connections are authorized or rejected (windows groups, protocols etc.). Don't forget to register IAS with active directory.

    Hi All,
i have nearly 30 x6250 blade servers on 6000 chassie.
i am using external CD/DVD drive to install Microsoft OS mannually into servers.
is there any way to deploy the server image to all other blades?
or can i automate the OS installation ...?
    thanks in advance.

the only way i know is to set up a primary windows 2003 server and install the other blade with the windows remote installation services...look at microsoft man-pages...if you have loaded your image into your windows server and add an automated installation then you can boot the machines to install and let them boot from pxe the installation and install windows automatically.
