IDES scripts/scenarios

I recently (with the help of SDN Forums members) completed an installation of an ECC 5.0 IDES instance. After logging in and verifying that the IDES master data is present as expected, I started looking for the documentation that described how that master data can be used to show off various activities (e.g. demo scenarios).
I have searched extensively on Service Marketplace, help.sap.com, and SDN for this information but am unable to find it. Can anyone help me locate these scripts?

It depends upon the business process.
Example : you are checking a P.O for GRN
Test Script:
1) Go to MIGO
2) enter the P.O no:
3) enter the details.
4) Check ,it green button is appearing.
5) post the document.
Enter the Results: PASS and enter the Document
If you observing any error like for eg G/l account is not maintained
Result : FAIL
do the correct action and test again

Multisite closings, lengthy hangups, constant stop script scenarios, non resonding pages, and slow loading of FF. What is wrong with the FF upgrades. . I think FF should find a solution and fix the problem.

Since upgrading I my system has virtually come to a standstill. Lengthy opening of FF, sudden closing of multi sites, constant stop script scenarios, constant hangups, and over all extremely long processing times.

Idea - Script to close a tab ?

Hello,
I like Safari opening new windows in tabs.
I have Safari set to block pop-ups, but occasionally one sneaks through. When they open in tabs it is nice as I can see them and they don't hide under another layer.
When a pop-up ad opens in a new tab it is labeled "Advertisement".
My idea is this - is there a way with one of the scripting features of the Mac such that if a Safari window opened with the title of "Advertisement" the script could automatically close it?

You can't close a frameset from a frame page. You might be
able to tell the frame page to close the frame...but do you really
need to be using frames on this site. It doesn't look like it.

Since the others have pointed you to resources for eScript/BrowserScript(JavaScript) I tough I should answer your last question.

Look at User properties (Applet/Business Component/Field/Integration Object/..)
Loot at Run Time Events

If you can't solve it with any of those.
The look at a scripting solution.

Tasks not opening in UWL through LR script

Hi,
I am trying to script a scenario in SAP NW Portal. The scripted scenario looks like:
1) VUser.init() section: A user logs in to the portal.
2) VUser.run() section: The User performs few steps in the portal (UWL - WD Java).
3) VUser.end() section: The user logs out.
The intention is to achieve the following scenario during its run time:
A user logs in, then perform actions defined in VUser.action() section in iterations and at last of the load test, the user logs out.
Issue: The first iteration is always happening successfully but the second iteration always fails.
Please help me in resolving the issue.

PS:
If I put all the transaction in VUser.action(), all the iterations pass.

QueryResult result = itemManager.getItemsForItemType(uwlContext,ItemType.UWL_ITEM_TASK, null, null);
SO in result, you'll get all the task available.

SAP IDES is a normal R/3 but with lots of DEMO data.
The system that contains several sample companies typifying relevant business processes. It is simple to use and has a variety of master and transaction data, and is used for demos, online/classroom training, and presentations. Potential customers use IDES to trial and test software via Internet.
SAP IDES the "Internet Demonstration and Evaluation System" in the R/3 System, represents a model company. It consists of an international group with subsidiaries in several countries. Ai file to psd using actions/script

Hi, Does anyone know a way to turn an illustrator file in to a psd?
I need to end up with a layered psd with all the layer names taken from the the illustrator layers.
I also need the paths from those layers to be present as layers in the paths palette in the psd, ideally using the same names.
I suspect this must be a fairly common problem.
Any ideas, scripts or plugins?
I think it's doable with actions and or scripting.

Thanks for the responses guys.
I'm doing character artwork and need to create the separate parts of the character in groups of layers.
Each of the body part groups contain 5 layers, with names like "outline", "texture", "shading", etc.
It's all very consistent and methodical and great if you want change the pose slightly or produce a Flash character from a digital painting.
The line art that comprises the body parts is kept separate from the shading layers so I can re-stoke the line art in Photoshop when the character needs to be drawn at a different resolution (line-weight is an issue for us).
Also the brushes available in Illustrator just aren't up to the kind of filter-riddled, messy, highly convincing digital painting I need to supply here.
Potentially I could create a very efficient workflow, a single drawing being rendered out at a variety of resolutions, in a variety of styles, all utilising my wonderfully natural-media style Photoshop brushes, with the bonus of easy import in to Flash too.
I tried the Export with layers method- worked for the most part with a few exceptions, thanks for the advice.
Keeping the AI file layers simple isn't a problem- I'm such a newb they don't get complex!
I don't believe it'll be a complete nightmare to accomplish as Adobe CS is supposed to lend it'self to just such a workflow.
I think I'll try exporting the AI file paths to the layers bearing the same names using actions, as there seems no other built-in facility in either app to do this.
I'd be interested to hear how one might use Smart Objects to the same end- they'd need to be a Smart Object that 's stroked in Photoshop, and editable like a normal Smart Object, am I missing something?
Will let you know how I get on. If anyone has any brainwaves in the meantime, please don't hesitate to post more here

JDBC scenario doubt

Hi,
I have a scenario but am not about the approach. I would appreciate it if you could share your ideas.
Scenario: We have a DB from which we are going to take data executing a Stored Procedure created at the DB side. Then we sent the data to R3 using ABAP Proxy
Solution: JDBC Sender is executing the stored procedure. the procedure select's the data, sent it, and flag it. PI takes it and sents it to R3 via proxy.
Problem: The problem here is what will happen if the connection is interrupted WHILE the procedure is executed. So that we dont get the data but the procedure flags the rows in the DB.
Can this happen? If yes how can I avoid it?

I am using Stored Procedure because the are too many rows inside the table and every second new rows are added. So the stored procedure is going to sum the rows and send it that way to PI. Also the R3 side is going to have it easier this way.

I am not updating the flag. the stored procedure is going to do this. There is were the problem lies. Is it possible that I cant receive the data BUT the stored procedure is updating the fields?
