IDisk... where did it go after SL upgrade?

Hi, all:
I encountered a number of issues as I upgraded from Tiger to SL, but I won't recount them all here (and most of them have been resolved, anyway). But...
Where is my iDisk? The icon is gone from the desktop (it is displayed in the left-hand panel of Finder). And in Finder, the files on my iDisk sure do seem to take an awfully long time to be displayed.
Thanks,
Bill in CT

I figured it out (with the help of another user's forum post)...
In Finder, go to Preferences | General, and under "Show these items on the desktop," make sure the box marked "Connected Servers" is checked.
Doing this will make sure the iDisk icon is visible on the desktop.
Thanks for replying!

  • Where has AME Gone after full Upgrade to CC

    Hi There,
I finally updated all my apps to Creative Cloud versions and deleted to older CS6 versions. It seems that deleting the older versions has deleted AME. AME is not appearing as an option to download from Creative Cloud.
I realise that it normally comes with another application.
I have installed CC versions of:
    Premiere
    After Effects
    Photoshop
    Lightroom
    Indesign
    Iluustrator
    Bridge
    Acrobat
I attemtped to download a version from the adobe websirte, but it will not install and I receive and error message.
    Please help.
    Murray

SO it seems the only stand alone version of AME is a patch or an update? If this is wrong can you pelase supply a link to the stand alone version?
Otherwise, as it's not in my CC list of available applications then where is it?
    Cheers

  • Audiobooks wont "start from where I left off" after 3GS upgrade to OS4

    Hi All,
I am having a bit of a problem with my 3GS iPhone that is running OS4. When listening to an audiobook, if I stop listening to the book, and instead watch a movie, listen to a song, or another book, my place in that original book is lost.
The bookmark is kept if I stop the book and later come back- but if I do anything else in the iPOD, the bookmark is gone.
It seems as if only 1 bookmark can be stored at any 1 time- whether its a movie, a song, or an audiobook..
Previous versions of the software never had this limitation, so I am suspecting that this is a bug.
(yes, I have the 'start playing where i left off' selected in the setting menu)

I have the same issue, but I'm listening only to one audiobook at a time, I do not switch between Audiobooks and videos.
Usually I plug my iPhone (3GS) into my car cradle and select the Audiobook via the car stereo iPod interface. It happens very often that the book starts from the beginning when I do it that way. What I usually do is, that I start playing the Audiobook from the iPhone and plug the phone into the cradle afterwards. This works most of the times. Additionally I make a screenshot of the iPod app after leaving my car, so I have a "Backup" of the last playback position.
The bad thing is, that it was working perfectly with iOS 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, in iOS 4.1 it starts to become crappy.
I had the same issue on my iPhone 3G ever since.
    Regards,
    Frank

  • Where are my photos after the upgrade?

I see the same question over and over but not the solution.  I upgraded my to osx lion a couple of weeks ago.  No problem.  I have used iphoto. Not a problem.  I wanted to grab a photo from the library tonight.  Went into Iphoto, it prompted me to upgrade and requested I upgrade my library.  It will take about an hour.  Clicked on the button and there is nothing there. It didn't take an hour.  Just disappeared.  Poof! I am finding thumbnails of faces in finder but can't find photos although havent looked in every folder.  I am sure it would have taken more time to delete 10,000 photos.
Help.  I need a fix for this.
Sound like some others do.  I tried the option and command open iphoto.  It looks like a brand new version without any picture library.

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • I downloaded a mp3 not from iTunes but from lottery music store and the phone played them where did they go after that cause I can't find them?

  • Where did Lion go after download

I want to install Lion on a secondary drive on my computer.
However, since it's running OS5.8, I can't access the app store.
Since I have another laptop that's running on OS6, I decided to download Lion on that, and then transfer the downloaded install file to my intended computer.
Unfortunately, I now see that the "buy" button simply turns into an "install" button and there doesn't seem to be a physical file that's been downloaded to my computer.
Is there a file that went somewhere on my laptop and I'm missing it or am I out of luck?
    Thanks

Have a look in your Applications folder. If you have already installed it, it deletes itself. You need to download it and save a copy to an external drive or USB stick. That is done by going to the App Store, signing in with the same ID and going to Lion. Where it says Buy, option click on it and it should change to download. That will go to your Applications folder. Make a copy from there.
    Cheers

  • Where did InDesign go after download

I downloaded InDesign through the creative cloud. The creative cloud says that the app is fully updated. However, I cannot find InDesign anywhere in my applications on my computer. Please help.

    Which operating system?

  • Where did my notes go after my mountain lion upgrade?

I just upgraded to mountain lion. I'm not using the cloud yet. I opened notes on the dock and it's empty. Where did all of my notes go after the upgrade. I really need that information Can anyone help me find my notes and get them into the  new notes folder.
    Thanks, ervernon

I found that the iPhone appeared to have finished syncing, but in fact the apps were still being copied back to the phone from iTunes. If you wait a while (with the phone connected to your computer), you may find that they just keep appearing. Mine took about 30 mins.

  • HT201317 I can't find My Photo Stream album after getting the iOS 8 upgrade. Where did all my pictures go??

I can't find My Photo Stream album after getting the iOS 8 upgrade. Where did all my pictures go??

That album, My Photo Stream, is no longer used.
Instead, look in "Recently Added" within Albums, and also within Photos in the various timescale views. Both places should contain photos taken by any of your devices.

  • After upgrading to 8, the text message microphone symbol has been replaced by a smiley face.  Where did it go?

Where is the text message microphone symbol?  I now have a smiley face instead of the symbol.

The disk folder you're describing sounds a lot like the Windows Favorites folder. That's actually completely independent from Firefox's bookmark storage.
After your upgrade, did you freshly install Firefox? In that case, the problem might be an incomplete import of your Windows Favorites (IE Favorites) instead of an incomplete recovery of your old Firefox bookmarks.
To see whether you still have your Firefox bookmarks, in your backup -- for example, the C:\Windows.old\ folder, or a backup on external media -- could you try to track down a folder named '''bookmarkbackups'''. By default, this is hidden folder, so you may need to turn on viewing of hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files].
Let me know what you find and then I can suggest next steps.

    Where did my iDisk go?
After upgrading to Lion and iCloud from MobileMe I can't find my iDisk. Is it really gone?

You can still access your iDisk while using iCloud by accessing it through the Go menu. I upgraded to iCloud and am still using my iDisk.

    Hey linfrommi,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are having trouble locating some application after the update to iOS 7. To troubleshoot this issue, let’s reset the home screen layout of your iPhone, which should move all of your applications to the second “page”:
    Reset iPhone settings - iPhone

Reset Home Screen Layout:  Returns the built-in apps to their original layout on the Home screen.

  • Where did my ringtones go after iOS 6 update

After updating to iOS 6 my ringtones are gone on my iPhone 4? Anyone else have this issue? I can honestly say that I regret upgrading to iOS 6. First my music wasn't synching and I had to manually fix that myself, thanks to a post I found on here and now my ringtones are gone. The iOS 5 update was a pain in the rear, but this one is really making me consider a change.
When I connect my phone to my MAC and click on the phone in iTunes and then click on Tones only one of my ringtones show up. I had 5 or 6. When I go into my iPhone settings for sounds/ringtones the only tones that show up are the default crappy iPhone tones. Very frustrating that everytime I do an update I have to manually go in a fix some screw up. Steve Jobs passing will be the end of Apple.

Strange that they don't show up in itunes. Where did you get these ringtones from?

  • After installing Mavericks iTunes 11.1.3 does not find my recent iTunes Library. Where did my current library go?

After installing Mavericks iTunes 11.1.3 does not find my recent iTunes Library. Where did my current library go? The new iTunes opens a 2009 library on start up. My most recent library is ignored even when I go to it directly and start iTunes with it. In another thread someone suggested repairing permissions, I did that and it did not help. I ripped my entire CD collection over the summer (1000's of songs) and now they just don't exist...or I can't find them. They were there before I upgraded to Mavericks the other day. Now vanished. I have found no other issues with Mavericks (yet). Played the music last week; upgraded, now can't find my complete current library. If anyone has a clue as to what might be causing this I sure would like know. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi, sorry to hear you had this problem. Sometimes after updating iTunes the library appears blank because a new library (.itl) file has been created. Anyone else experiencing this issue may be able to resolve by following the steps outlined in TS1967. There is ofter a 'Previous iTunes Libraries' folder in the iTunes folder, by quitting iTunes entirely and replacing the currently named iTunes Library.itl file with the library file named by date in the Previous Libraries folder (should look something like 'iTunes Library 2011-08-03') and renaming to 'iTunes library.itl' and relaunching you should find the library looks the same as it did before updating (metadata intact).

  • Where is my iphoto after upgrading to yosemite??

Where is my IPHOTO after upgrading to yosemite ??

Ok so here's what you gonna do. (had this problem myself today, and after some fiddling figured out what to do.)
Find your old iPhoto with a cross through it, right-click it and select 'show package contents'. A folder will open. In that folder go to Contents>MacOS and there will be three little things there. Click on the one called 'iPhoto' and terminal will open. Leave terminal open and wait four seconds and VOILA! iPhoto opens. Leave terminal open until you are finished with iPhoto, because if you close terminal, iPhoto will close with it. THX! ENJOY! Hope it works.
    P.S.
You can close terminal once you close iPhoto. I also suggest backing up your iPhoto library while you can.
