IDM 11g + 10g SSO supported on 11gR2?

Hey all,
according to the fusion middleware 11g certification guide it says that the database versoin 11.1.0.7+ is supported. I'm assuming that means 11gR2 as well?
It appears Ultra search has been desupported in 11gR2: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/readmes.112/e11015/toc.htm#BABBFCCH
So when I run the SSO 10 RCU it fails against an 11gR2 database "The database does not contain Ultra Search Schemas WKSYS and or WKPROXY. Please install them and try again."
Any thoughts?

OMS isn't supported on SLES10, but Agents are supported as per certification matrix

Is there a patch to run OEM OMS 10g on SLES10?AFAIK : No
Do I just have to wait for OEM 11g to come out before I can run the OMS App Server on SLES 10?Could be

    Hi,
You could try working through the EBS -> APEX integration article on the Apex community site (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/apex-ebs-wp-cabot-consulting-169064.pdf)

  • Required components for Forms&Reports 11.1.2 with SSO support

    Hi.
Dont know if this is the right forum but I would like to know if any of you has an experience in integrating Forms&Reports 11.1.2 with Oracle Access manager.
I am in process of upgrading Oracle Forms&Reports 10g configured to use single sign-on to 11.1.2 with Identity and Access management for SSO support. As I read the installation manual I got confused by how to integrate Forms&reports with Access manager to be able to configure it to use single sign-on with MS Active Directory authentication. I am not sure is there enough just to install Access Manager or the installation also requires Identity Management component.
I would appreciate if one could point me to the right direction. Thanks.
    Best regards.

I recommend starting with baby steps. First ensure that the FMw installation is working. Can you run a form, and report, and so on. Then add single-signon with OAM. Verify that it is working. Then add AD support. If you try to dive directly into making AD work and something before this step wasn't working, you will have a difficult time troubleshooting.
Generally speaking, if you have OAM and SSO installed prior to installing FMw, connecting the two is fairly easy because the FMw installation will prompt you during the process. However, even after the fact, linking up can be done from within the EM console even though some external steps may be needed. Once this is working, they you can investigate adding AD to the mix.
If you already have OAM installed, you are ready to dive into the Forms Deployment Guide.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24269_01/doc.11120/e24477/sso.htm
This part of the Deployment Guide will cover things like, which versions of the Identity Management components can be used with Forms/Reports 11.1.2. It will also discuss the functional information need in order to understand how it all works together. Also included are instructions on how to connect the FMw installation to sso. Be careful as you read any of the documents as it is easy to get confused when seeing references to "SSO". In some cases, the term "sso" means single signon and in others it is referring to the product, "Oracle SSO".
Information about using Active Directory is scattered around the IM documentation, but this is probably a good place to start:

  • Oracle 11G,10g and DB2 replication?

    Oracle 11G,10g and DB2 replication?
    =======================================
We are using Oracle 11gR2. We have a table in Oracle filled with partial data (over 200K+, it may grow to 1M). The rest need to be obtained from DB2. It is not from one DB2 table.
The DB2 is configured to run Oracle 10g within it. We have given http interface, where we need to supply(Push) the partial data using HTTP_UTIL package for each row, then DB2/Oracle 10g return the result as XML.
It is a network heavy, slow and not reliable.
Are we able to replicate tables between Oracle 11g and DB2/oracle 10g?
We like to leverage the features on 11gR2 effectively.
I find some interesting folks in this forum.
    Did anyone face such situation?
I like to know the best approach with good performance options.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in helping.

why is DB2 required to produce XML?

  • Did any body try to change 10g SSO  login page to custom login page?

    Hi..
Did any body try to change Oracle 10g SSO login page with custom login Page as we used to do in 902 and 1022 versions by changing wwsso_ls_configuration_info_t table entries?
It seems that there is now other file policy.properties that has entry for login page.
Is there any documentation provided by Oracle on this?
I checked metalink and SSO admin guide?
    Any clue or glue....??
    Thanks
    Sarvesh

Try 1 & 2 if does not work please file a daycare for further assistance.
    1.   In "Day CQ Login Selector Authentication Handler" for path info add an empty row then verify.
    2.   Delete the existing entry for "Day CQ Login Selector Authentication Handler" , Configure your custom at repository level & verify

11.1.1.2 is bad for windows...too many bugs. 11.1.1.3 is a more stable version. But 11.1.1.5 is the best. So upgrade to 11.1.1.5 and then configure the IDM suite.

  • Does Oracle 10G R2 support installation on Windows 2003 Domain Controller?

Does Oracle 10g R2 support installation on Windows 2003 Domain Controller? I remember that 10g R1 had issues with the DC? Is it still the case. Does it work now?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Regards,
    Raghav

We have Oracle 10g R2 running on a Windows 2003 domain controller. It was not a domain controller when Oracle was installed. The domain was created after installation. (I don't recommend that procedure. I spent a long day fixing the installation after they configured the domain.) If Oracle is unhappy with being on a domain controller, it has not shown it yet.

  • IDM 11g installation issues on x64 for OIM startup

    Hello,
I am trying to build a IDM 11g env on x64 machine. We have installed the following components.
    a. Weblogic 10.3.4/JDev
    b. SOA 11.1.1.2 and patch SOA 11.1.1.3
    c. RCU to create schemas for OIM, MDS, OAM etc.
    d. IAM 11.1.1.3 for OIM
    e. Configured for the following, Admin Server, Managed Server, Enterprise Manager and SOA.
    f. Started Weblogjc Admin Server
    g. Configured for OIM for DB schema, no LDAP, RManager, ports, etc.
    h. Restarted Admin Server nd OIM Managed Server, looks like all the servers started but failed to load OIM package.
All the services are running and Weblogic admin reports all the servers as up and running but cant start the oim page on http://localhost:7001/oim as configured.
    I have a x64 bit installation packages with jdk160_21
Please can anyone let me know how to proceed.

You need to set up your existing DNS server to allow it to delegate to a GNS Service running on the Oracle Database Grid.
Ask your network admin to give you a subdomain that the Oracle GNS will take responsibility for.
For example if your company domain is acme.com then the GNS will resolve all connections to database.acme.com
The GNS will also be allowed to allocate a range of IP's as when those IP's or subdomain are requested the DNS just passes the work on to the GNS to resolve.
So the first step is to talk to your network admin about DNS delegation

  • IDM 11g Installation Error

    Hello,
I was trying to install Identity Management 11g as part of our Fusion Middleware test environment but I couldn't make it through the Installation.
I'm installing IDM 11g, just Oracle Internet Directory with Oracle Directory Integration Platform, Oracle Directory Services Manager, and Fusion Middleware Control in a New WebLogic Administration Domain (not selecting Identity Federation nor Virtual Directory)
All the prerequisites are fulfilled, all the verification passed.
    I'm using Weblogic 11g (10.3.1), everything over a OEL 5.2.
The error I get is in the Configuration Progress stage, in Bootstrap Domain configuration section, and in the Create Domain part.
    The logs show:
    oracle.as.provisioning.util.ConfigException:

    Cause:

    Best regards.

I had a similar problem. The solution I used was to download a different version of 11g. Higher, I don't know what 11g (10.1.3) is. I don't think there was a version like that (I haven't seen it). Let's say your platform is x86. There are 3 downloads (at least) you could use:
    1. Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.1) + OEPE - Package Installer
    oepe11_wls1031_linux32.bin
    2. Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.1) - Package Installer
    wls1031_linux32.bin
    3. Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3 - Package Installer
    server103_linux32.bin
With #3, I had the same issue. IDM doesn't like it. I used #1. OEPE is just some eclipse plugins that you don't need to use but they are there in case you want to develop some custom plugins. #2 I assume would also work but I haven't tested it. The .1 in 10.3.1 is the key. 11g = 10.3.1. I think eventually Oracle will marry up the versions to be more clear. I'm not sure.
And yes, with #3, the verify would pass and it would happily install until the domain was created and bam big stack trace just like you posted. Use #1 or #2. If your Platform is different just substitute the _linux32 with your platform.

  • Clustering in Oracle 11g/10g

    Hi
We have 40000 records in our database (Oracle 11g/10g), in which each record holds 2 to 3 images and so each record will be of some MBs.
Do we need to perform clustering to get a better performance?
    Thanks
    Shoba Anandhan

    Thanks for the immediate replies.
We have a Windows 2003 Server, where in we have the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Oracle 11g database.
Our web application will be developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 having Oracle as backend.
At at time we are assuming 100 users to work with the web applications. We connect to the database everytime to display data in the web page.
    100% performance is expected.
The Windows 2003 Server has a 4 GB of RAM. Is 4 GB enough to process these database requests or do we need more?

  • Integrate an existing SOA11g suite with IDM 11g

    Hello gurus,
We need to install SOA 11g with Oracle Service Bus, Service Registry,BPEL Process Manager, Web service Manager. Along with this setup , we need to Configure Oracle integrated security framework to enable security and identity management policies to be defined centrally.
For this, do we need to install seperate SOA11g suite and configure, OSB, BAM, WSM etc and later integrate it with IDM? IDM would also need SOA for workflows, can we use the already configured SOA11g with IDM or we need to install a seperate SOA 11g for IDM's use?
Am a little confused with integrating SOA11g with IDM11g so any guidence would be very helpfull.
    Thanks

    hai all,
Please let me know if during the installation of IDM 11g we can point to and use an existing deployment of the SOA or not? are we bound to use the SOA that is shipped with the IDM deployment media?
As it is mentioned in the oracle document that we can not use the SOA installed with IDM (bundled with IDM 11g) for any other application, it is exclusively for IDM. So can it be other way around that we can't use existing SOA for the IDM?
thanks....Nopes, I have this from good authority, as of now you cannot point OIM to an existing SOA but will have to use the same bundled with OIM and should be in same domain.

  • Which 10g release supports Solaris x86 version 10?

    Hi,
I downloaded Oracle 10.1.0.3 for Solaris x86. When I installed it, I got error, saying I can only install this version on Solaris 9 x86. Do you have any idea which Oracle 10g version supports Solaris x86 version 10?
    Thanks
    L

    Hi,
If we believe metalink, Oracle 10gR1 is already certified for Solaris x86
Solaris Operating System x86 Version 10
Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition Version 10g
    Status: Certified
    Certification Note:
    Install Information:
o 1. Execute runInstaller with the -ignoreSysPrereqs option.
o 2. Select 'Do not create a starter database' when installing Oracle 10g.
o 3. During installation, the warning message 'SUNWsprox package not installed' can be ignored. Press Continue to resume the installation.
o 4. Download and install patch 4186426 from metalink.oracle.com after installing Oracle 10g software.
o 5. If you have an End User Solaris 10 distribution, install the SUNWuiu8 package prior to installing the 10g client.
Have you run installer like recommended in point 1 ?
For 10gR2, you need to wait december for certification.
    Nicolas.

So can it be other way around that we can't use existing SOA for the IDM?
    thanks....

thanks....Nopes, I have this from good authority, as of now you cannot point OIM to an existing SOA but will have to use the same bundled with OIM and should be in same domain.

  • Reconfigure IDM 11g installation to Database for SSL communication.

    Experts,
    I've below environment.
Oracle IDM 11g (OID,OVD,OAM,OAAM,OIF,OIM,etc,.) 11g talking to Oracle Database RAC 11g.
At the time of IDM installation and configuration, database was not in SSL mode. Now I'm want to make SSL communication between IDM and Database.
    My Questions:
    1. Once I put Database in SSL mode, How can I reconfigure Oracle IDM suite so that it can talk to database in SSL mode ?
    2. How much effort does it require ?
Please provide if you have any doc references.
    Thanks
