IDOC Adapter on receiver side- Third party non-SAP

Hi,
I have never worked on IDOC scenario.can we use idoc at receiver end to send data to receiver third party which is non SAP

File access parameter in file adapter at receiver side

Hi Experts,
1- i am using file adapter at receiver side. i want to create my file with time stamp for that i have given the file construction mode = add time stamp and put file directly .but it is showing time in file name????????
2. i want my file name as TimeSheet_Country_Date_time.csv so for this what value i have to give in file Name Scheme parameter.

The addtime stamp will add timestamp as the last part of the filename before the extension.
2. i want my file name as TimeSheet_Country_Date_time.csv so for this what value i have to give in file Name Scheme parameter.
You can achieve this using dynamic file naming UDF in mapping and using ASMA in file adapter.
Use current date function and generate the current date. Then use substring to pick date,time from it and format it according to your requirement (TimeSheet_Country_Date_time).Else you can write a UDF to generate the file name as per your requirement and then pass it to the dynamic filenaming UDF in the mapping.

Sending an idoc to 1 the of the 2 idocs in the receiver side based on field

Hi,
Am having 1 idoc in sender side SHPMNT05 and 2 idocs in receiver side DELVRY05 and VEHCLE01.
My requirement is to send data to DELVRY05 only when one field in SHPMNT05 is having space in it
and to VEHCLE01 only if having Vehicle no in that particular field.
And to populate DELVRY05,
Need to call a FM with Delivery no and del item details.
Function module has to determine based on the FS scenarios, whether to change the delivery, split the delivery (Create new delivery) based on the reason code.
Take the return values from RFC function module and populate DELVRY05 idoc.
Using conditional operator on that particular field we can map it to root nodes of the idocs and do mapping, i think.
But How can i call a func module for populatng del05.
Help me firends.

You may perform RFC lookup in your mapping to call the function module. Make sure that your function module is remote enabled.

How to enable the "SNMP TRAP" Funcation in Prime Infrasructure 2.0 for receiveing the Third Party Device's SNMP TRAP

I already uploaded the third party device's MIB to PI2.0, but could not recive the third party device's SNMP TRAP properly .
what do I need check for the PI ? or what do I need to setup for the PI?

JMS Adapter: Dynamic DestinationName for third party queue

Hello everbody!
Is there a way to make the "DestinationName" of the JMS Adapter for a third party JMS provider dynamic somehow? Like using a jndi lookup for the queue name instead for hardcoding it into the wsdl?

Please note that the Agile PLM system fills in the fields with server-specific defaults but we must validate they are accurate.
3) User Name and Password to access the queue

Description : Queue/ Topic with JNDI name
2.1) Context factory :
what is it?
how to create it and where to create.
2.2)connection factory: connection factory name and JNDI.
2.3) how to get the Default URL from web-logic.
3.2) User name/ password : xxxxxxxxx/abcd00000. this can be set from security realms by creating the user and and assigning that user to the queue and policies.

Pros:
SAP PI is a middleware and all Middlewares work pretty much on the same principles.
I am assuming that EDI 850 would have some sort of structure, [ to be honest I have not worked on EDI but just read about it] and SAP PI would require you to convert this structure into XML -> the only language SAP PI understands.
Now, I am sure there are lots of third party adapters available in the market for EDI. PI will give you flexibility to convert this interface into any kind of requirement be it JDBC/FILE/IDOC or anything and vice versa is also true. PI give you this enormous ability to convert to and from any format as long as it is viable.
Last but not the least, it will provide a robust system with Alerting and Monitoring.
Cons: You may have to invest on a third party adapter to read the EDI

You can use any IDOC according to ur requirement.
Example,
If u want to create Vendor use Idoc CREMAS04 (message type CREMAS)
If u want to create Customer use IDOC DEBMAS (message type DEBMAS)

FICA -IDOC for posting the billing data from NON-SAP ISU system

Kindly note we are implementing NON-SAP ISU with SAP FICA for the finance implementation. In this context, we ahve identified BAPI for BP and CA. We have decided to go for transaction posting through the transaction FPE1. For this, we are looking for the transaction data IDOC which is CTRACDOCUMENT_ACCOUNT (FICA Posting) in the WEDI. But it seems that it is not yet released. Can anybody help me out for this to either identify the equivalent IDOC or other method to post the data from Banner system (NON-SAP ISU ) system. We are presently not implmenting billing system in SAP ISU, but only FI system

you can create the same...
but normal practice what we do is create swc for each system so that it is easy to maintain and easy to extend in the future..
or else follow some conventions if you are just starting the things..

Error: Unable to create socket(While using Mail Adapter in receiver side)

I have tried the File to Mail scenario. While component monitoring the Sender communication is working fine but the receiver communication is giving error like Unable to create socket. Please help me to solve this error.

before using the mail adapter have you specified all the attributes porperly as well as have setup the SMTP Exchange Server address

Acknowledgment not possible ..File adapter ..receiver side

In my Simple IDOC to File Scenario...
i am getting successfull meessage in SXMB_MONI.but in sxmb_moni ,the acknowledgment status is not possible.
my inbound inteface is of file and asynchrounous type.
how can i get acknowledgment .
please guid me.

Hi,
File adapter does not support Application Acknowledgements.
In your case, turn of the Acknowledgements, by adding the entry in the table <b>IDXNOALE</b> in XI for the Sender Port and idoc type. After this, the Acknowledgement column in MONI will be empty.

R/3 - XI - Third party (IDOC) Scenario

We are facing some issues related to particular scenario and I hope you guys could help.
SAP sends and IDOC to XI which is in turn routed to a third-party system (NON SAP) which should receive the Data in IDOC format. The connection to this third-party system is using a TCP/IP RFC connection. This third-party system acts as a broker between their SAP system and others.
Now the question... Is there any way to connect this system using an RFC channel? If not are there any other channels that could be used with a TCP/IP Connection?
Any thought suggestions on this will be highly appreciated.

If your scenario is R/3 -> XI -> Third party (NON-SAP).
then you can handle it as idoc to http adapter.
i mean source would be idoc format and target structure would be of cxml format and the scenario has http adapter on receiver side.
