IDOC Configuration Help

hello,
i have just started learning concepts of IDOC and ALE.
And found some docuemnts for the same.
WE have 2 clients in our dev server. 700 & 600.
I want to test idoc concepts on these clients of same servers.
Firstly i checked logical systems on client 700.
Have a look.
here 600 client is not shown but it exists in our system.
Moreover , 400 client is shown..but it does not exists in our system.
Here is the view of table T000
Please tell me...what this is all about.
Whether i need to create a new logical system or assign client to existing logical system
or nothing. In order to run idoc's?

Hi Abhishek,
Refer the steps below and let me know if it helped.
ALE configuration normally involves the seven basic steps which are:
1. Creating users for ALE Transfer
2. Creating Logical system and assign the client
3. Creating the RFC
4. Configuring Distribution Model
5. Configuring and checking the port
6. Configuring and checking the partner profile
7.  Creating the message type
The steps to configure and use it is mentioned below:
Notes: 105 is Sender and 800 Receiver System in the example below:
1. Create Users for ALE transfer in both receiving and sending client/systems.
Create users in both the client/systems giving the same user name and proper authorizations. We need to use these user ids to logon through the remote connection and perform the IDOC transfers.
2. Creating Logical Systems
o       Create logical systems for both sending and receiving systems in both systems.
o       Login to Client 105 (SENDER)
o       Go to T. Code SALE
o       Expand Sending and Receiving Systems
o       Expand Logical Systems
o       Click on Define Logical System
o       Click on New Entries
o       Create Logical Systems with naming convention 'system name'+'CLNT'+client no . For example for sending system ex: SSPCLNT105
o       Create Logical Systems with naming convention 'system name'+'CLNT'+client no ex: example for receiving system ex SEDCLNT800
o       Save and come back
o       Click on Assign client 105 to Logical system SSPCLNT105
o       Now, logon to client 800, repeat the same above process to create logical systems SEDCLNT800 and SSPCLNT105
o       Save and come back
o       Click on Assign client 800 to Logical system SEDCLNT800
3. Creating the RFCs
o       In client 105, Go to T. Code SM59
o       Expand R/3 Connections
o       Enter RFC Name as SSPCLNT105 (give this name same as that of logical name created in step1 so that the ports are automatically created)
o       Connection Type as 3
o       Language as EN
o       Give the logon details for client 800 (usually, we create a new user with proper authorizations for this ALE data transfer)
o       Click on Remote logon button to test the RFC
o       Now, go to client 800 and repeat the same process to create the RFC connection to client 105, giving logon credentials to client 105
4. Creating Customer Distribution Model
(we usually create this in the original system(sending system) and then distribute it to other systems. The actual creation of the model requests that you mention a technical name for the model (unique identifier in the systems landscape), a sender system, a receiver system and message types to exchange between those systems.)
o In Client 105, Go to T. Code BD64
o       Click on change and Create model view button
o       Enter the short text and Technical name as ZSSP_SED
o       Select the model and click on Add Message Type Button,
o       Give the Sender as SSPCLNT105, Receiver as SEDCLNT800,
o       Give Message type as required, Ex: 'HRMD_A' for HR Module.(usually Message types given by SAP are available for a particular module, see this using tcode WE81, if not create a message type first)
o       Note: If we are performing this data transfer task for all modules at a Customer site, then we will need to use the appropriate message type and create a new Distribution model.
o       Select the above model view and click on Environment -> Generate Partner Profiles
o       Select Transfer IDOC Immediately and Trigger Immediately radio buttonsF
o       Click on Execute
o       You should get a list in green color which means it executed successfully.
o       Back to main screen, select the model view
o       Click Edit->Model view->Distribute
o       Click on continue
o       You should get a list saying model view is distributed successfully.
5. Checking the Port
o       In client 105, Go to T. Code WE21
o       Expand Transactional RFC
o       Find the port from the list which is created using BD64 for SEDCLNT800 (Receiving system) RFC Destination.
6. Checking the Partner Profiles.
o       In client 105, Go to T. Code WE20
o       Expand Partner Type LS
o       Select the Partner profile SEDCLNT800
o       Double click on Message Type (For Ex: In HR Module, HRMD_A in Outbound parameters.)
o       Check Receiver Port is assigned correctly
o       Check the Basic type as your Basic IDOC object.
o       In the sending system, select the option to transfer IDOCs immediately.
o       By default, in the receiving system IDOCS are bunched together and received.
7. Creating the Message Type
o       Message type defines the 'meaning' of data. It is just a logical entity that gets connected to the Idoc type (in tcode we82) or gets connected to the distribution model (in tcode BD64)
o       If necessary create a new message type. In client 105, go to tcode we81.
o       Click on change, continue
o       Click on New Entries button
o      Give message type in customer namespace Z* and description
o     Save and back
This should be helpful for ALE configurations.
Thanks,
Anupam

Actually my requirment is to send the (LOIPRO01 )IDoc from SAP R/3 to XI system ,when ever the Production Order Created and Changed,
    I have done following Configurations:
    1. RFC Destination created for XI system
    2. PORT was created for XI
    3. Partner profile created WE20 and LOIPRO01 IDoc is added in OutBound Perameter.
I need to know how to do the followning.
    1. How do i configure the outbound Production order idocs when Production Order is created or changed.
    2. in NACE (Output control) which is the Application for Production Order.
    3. How can I set IDoc as output Type for Production Order Creation.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Michal,
I know that it is the old thread but still want to get clarified from you out of curiosity.
Unlike other IDOC, i actiavated change pointers for LOIPRO
1.message and idoc type is linked
2.function module , message type , idoc type is linked
    function module used is CLOI_MASTERIDOC_CREATE_LOIPRO
3.BD64, distribution model is created and distributed
    4. port and partner profile is in place.
    5. IDOC is not getting generated after creating the process order.
do we need to activate the change documents for the message type in BD52,
if yes can you please provide the object types for the same.
or i am missing something else. please guide me in this regards.
Thanks in advance for your time.

  • IDOC configuration in 46C for BI 7

    Dear Experts
Is there a set of  steps to create the idoc configurations in R/3 for data transfer between R/3 46C  and BI 7?
After refresh, the idoc related configurations are lost and BI is unable to load from Source System R/3.
Thanks for reading and hope you can advise on the above.

  • File1-RFC-File2-IDOC design help

    Hi,
Here is the business requirement. Please help with design options.
There are two files(Business Partner.XML & Vendor.xml) on FTP server.
Pick up BP.XML file, call RFC(BAPI) to post the data in R/3(ECC).
If BAPI return code is success, then pick up 2nd file(Vendor.xml) and post corresponding record(vendor#) as the IDOC(CREMAS)  in R/3.
If BAPI retrun code is failed, then do not post the IDOC(corresponding record in 2nd file).
Both files has vendor number as the key field.
    <b>File1 & File2 may have upto 10 records in each file</b>.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Mallik,
You can have both the files processed at the same time using two different interfaces.
    1. File ->RFC and
    2. File ->IDOC.
Now for the IDOC in the receiver system, partner profile make sure that for the message type CREMAS, <i><b>the IDOC configuration is to be collected.</b></i>.
In the first scenario RFC, make sure that if the business partner posting have been done successfully then submit the program RBDMON00(t-code is BD87) with the IDOC type and IDOCs having the status 64.
    Cheers
    JK

  • Idoc configurations in PI7.3

    Hi Experts,
For an Idoc scenario prior to PI 7.3, RFC destination, port, logical system and partner profile needs to be created in case of outbound Idoc scenario and again at XI side we need to create RFC destination, port and loading of meta data....
Is the same is applicable for PI 7.3 as well? since Idoc resides in AAE in PI 7.3, I believe there could be some changes applicable for these settings of Idoc....

    1 Logical System
    2 Assign Logical system
    3 RFC
    4 Port
    5 Customer distribution model
    6 Partner profile
    7 CDM distribution
    Tcode : SALE
First 2 steps not necessary ( Basis work already done )
    Two logical system created
    Ls110 -Sender
    Ls800 - Receiver
    RFC
    RFC establishment SM59
Receiving system IP address or hostname
    System number, client id
    Username, password
    Ports
    We21 – define ports
    TRFC – ale
    File – Edi
    CPI_C - R2 connections
In the port we need to define Port name and RFC destinations
    And version
    Customer Distribution Model - BD64
    Sender
    Receiver
    Message type
    Partner profile we20 , BD62
Partner may be customer, vendor, logical system
In BD62 define the partner system (LS800)
One more additional entry SYNC for synchronization
    Post processing Agent - workflow
    MATMAS 03 – 03 is the version
Collect idoc we need to trigger
Transfer idoc will be send immediately
    With message control
Which program need to run for generating the idoc
    With out message control
For some of the programs have inbuilt idoc generation for that case no need to mention program name
    Process code
    Distribute CDM
    Receiving System:
Partner profile is going to control all the thing
    BD64 - > edit - > model view - > distribute
BD67 – Function module assigned to the process code
BD10 – used to create idoc for material
Master idoc generated – only buffered
One master idoc – multiple communication idoc
    One communication idoc generated
    We02 – idoc satus

    Hi Viji.
I can provide you a link which deals with precise material for ALE/IDOC configuration.
This link has just 1 page, but very good configurations.
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wbihelp/v6rxmx/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.wsadapters.jca_sap.doc/doc/csap_depl_config_serv.html
Inside if you want Outbound or Inbound settings, choice is to be made.
