IDoc for knowing Idoc status

Hi,
Is there any outbound idoc which gives a status of the idocs like we have one for inbound(ALEAUD01) status idoc.
Can you please confirm this
regards
alok

Please do the following in your R/3 system.
1. Goto we21, in the R/3 logical system , then outbound parameters add ALEAUD.
2. Create a varaint for the report RBDSTATE in se38  with the message type you want to trigger the acknowledgement.
3. Now goto sm36 , create a background job for the varaint.
you can provide the start conditions such as daily , periodic intervals ,
4. Goto sm37 , release the job you created.

  • IDOC for changing user status to 'HIST' on Functional Location

    Hi.
Can anyone please support me with an inbound IDOC for changing status on existing Functional Location?
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
I am not sure whether it would work with LSMW but if your on ECC 6.00 ,Enhacement Pack 3 then you have BADIs which allow you to make collective status changes in IW38 .The below are those BADIs :-
BADI_EAM_RIAUFK20_FCODE_CUS1 :Implement Customer Function Code in Order List
BADI_EAM_RIAUFK20_FCODE_SAP1 :Implement SAP Function Code in Order List
Else if your on lower version then write up a batch programme which checks the PM Order types with specific status and sets user status using FM STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN[This is used to set or delete User Status] in SE37 ..

  • Flags in IDOC for change IDOCs

    Hi,
If we have an order or delivery created using the standard create IDOC then how does the changes happen using the another standard change IDOC.
The problem i am  facing is as follows:
we have a flat file which maps to create IDOC,
The same flat file maps to change IDOC. the problem is change IDOC has flags which need to be set, and only then the changes happen for the corresponding fields, as we dont know what fields will have changed values XI wont be able to set these flags.
Note: create and change routing conditions are properly identified.
Is there any better solution in XI side or should it be done from the sender side where in they have to set the flags in the sending structure.

Yeah you are right about everything, but the problem here is the changes that come in flat file have all the fields populated irrescpective of whether a field is actually having the change or not.
May be i shouldnt have used the word flag but should have used a ctrl field
and the idoc is such that we have a two segment
lets say we item segment which has qty, vloume , material.....
and there is control item segment which has ctrl qty , ctrl volume, ctrl material.....
so now the case is qty field can be updated if ctrl qty has X in it. its true also for the rest of the fields.
Now the problem is the flat file cant send these X in the ctrl fields. and XI cant put X in all the ctrl fields as if we do it that way its not updating the actual updated fields

Hello using this you can find out used user exit
1.From SE93 get the program name corresponding to the transaction.
    2. then se38 - > enter program name -> attribute -> display
    3. Get the package from here.
    4.  Go to SMOD . Do f4 on enhancement -> information system. enter your package here
    5. You will get the list of all the available exits for the package.
List could be a long one.Now best thing to do is to sit with your functional analyst. find out approproate exit from the description. put a break-point there. ask functional analyst to run the transaction. if transaction stops at the break point that's the exit you want

  • Inbound IDOC Mass processing - No status message

    Hi Friends,
I am updating a database table using inbound IDOC. But in batch job when XI passes multiple IDOCS,
for some IDOCs there is no status message even though i coded for status message.
If i rerun IDOC in BD87 then it work fine.
    please help.
    regards,
    madan

    Hi Madan,
Since you are loading multiple idoc to the system due to high load in the production system data is not commiting properly. So use external commit work statement in you code. this will reduce the performance but logic will work.
    COMMIT WORK [AND WAIT].
    Effect
The statement COMMIT WORK completes the current SAP LUW and opens a new one, storing all change requests for the current SAP LUW in the process. In this case, COMMIT WORK performs the following actions:
It executes all subroutines registered using PERFORM ON COMMIT.
The sequence is based on the order of registration or according to the priority specified using the LEVEL addition. Execution of the following statements is not permitted in a subroutine of this type:
    PERFORM ... ON COMMIT|ROLLBACK
    COMMIT WORK
    ROLLBACK WORK
The statement CALL FUNCTION ... IN UPDATE TASK can be executed.
Triggering an internal event for the Persistence Service of the Object Services.
If event handlers are registered by the Persistence Service, these collect the changes to the objects managed by the Persistence Service and transfer them via CALL FUNCTION ... IN UPDATE TASK to a specific update function module that is registered as the last update module.
This executes all high-priority (VB1) update function modules in the order of their registration and in a common database LUW. If you do not specify the addition AND WAIT, the program does not wait until the update work process has executed it (asynchronous updating), but instead is resumed immediately after COMMIT WORK. However, if the addition AND WAIT is specified, program processing after COMMIT WORK will not continue until the update work process has executed the high-priority update function modules (synchronous updating).
When all high-priority update function modules are completed successfully, the statement executes the low-priority (VB2) update function modules in the order of registration together in a common database LUW.
After the execution of high-priority update function modules, the individual function modules registered using CALL FUNCTION ...IN BACKGROUND TASK|UNIT are executed in a separate database LUW for each destination.
Within an update function module started using COMMIT WORK, the execution of statements that lead to a database commit is not permitted. In particular, the following are forbidden:

i want to know how they are getting processed automatically.
is there any job which looks for these idocs(in 64 status and process immediatly flag) and process it.
What is the trigger for thiese idocs processing???

  • Do you know the idoc for master recipe?

    Hi all.
Do you know the idoc for maintain master recipe?
I am looking for the idoc.
I would like to create, update and delete master recipe with idoc.
I have investigated about idoc, but can't find suitable idoc.
(I did find it for BOM, but for recipe is nothing.)
    Thank you in advance..

    Hello,
As far as I can see there are no BAPI's or IDOC's available to upload Master Recipe data.
A suggestion would be to use the batch input technique to upload the master recipe master data. You find the documentation of the batch input recorder etc. via the menu path System -> Services -> Batch input -> Recorder
    I hope it helps,

  • IDOC adapter message limitation Status 64

    Hello,
we have implemented an IDOC R/3->XI->R3 scenario.
Sometimes it happens, that the sending system generates a hugh number of idocs.
In this case, the IDOCs are posted to the receiving R/3 system, but stay on status 64 which says,
    "...to few dialog processes...."
So the receiving SAP system has to few processes to start the processing of the idocs.
But we can no enhance the amount of the processes.
Is it possible, to limit the calls of the IDOC adapter
or to schedule the idocs, or to make a package?
This should be done on XI!!!!
I have read the QUEUE option, but we are working on 4.6BASIS, so this did not solve the problem.
    best regards
    Werner

    Werner-
This situation can be handled using some variations to your suggestion of handling it in XI.
    1) In the Partner profile of the target R3 system, use the option 'trigger by background program' in the inbound parameters. This way, the IDOCs will be created in the database, syntax checked and will be set to status '64' but with a different message (mostly No filters....). At this point, we are not even trying to post the IDOC to the application, which takes the most processing time.
    2) Then in your traget SAP system, schedule program RBDAPP01. There are various options available to restrict your selections. By scheduling this program to run in regular intervals, you can process IDOCs which are in status 64, there by re-processing them if some failed during the last run because of lack of processes.
Some additional information on performance improvment:
RBDAPP01 is an interesting program, because it allows you to parallel process the IDOCs plus process them in packets. That is, instead of processing IDOCs one by one, you can make the program to use all the available free processes to process the IDOCs in parallel. This will greatly reduce your processing time.
If you see, this program has a tab called 'Parallel Proc' (assuming you are logged on in English). You can activate the check box 'Parallel Proc. Active' and choose a 'Server Group'.
Now, before using this option, you need to understand that this program will occupy all free DIALOG processes. Which means no process will be available for users to log on (even admins) while the program is busy posting IDOCS. However, this limitation can be overcome by fixing a system parameter on the server group which will limit the number of processes to be used by this program. For e.g., in one of my implementations, we set up the profile parameter in such a way that out of 13 dialog processes available, the program will always leave 5 processes free thereby occupying only seven free processes max.
This setting was done by the basis team and probably you or your basis team already know about it. If not, let me know, I will try to find it out from our guys here.
Hope the above explaination help. For more information check note 399271 and other related notes for RBDAPP01 PARALLEL PROCESSING.

  • Sub: How to send idoc for IW31.

    Dear All,
Content: My requirement is to send the idoc for maintanance order- IW31. I found the message type as IORDER. I am not able to use change pointer  IORDER is not matching, as i am not able to find the message type, when executing BD21 (for change pointer).
Please let me know the procedure for sending idoc for IW31.

This is what it worked for me, to create an INBOUND IDOC to transaction IW31:
I converted BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to an IDOC
    1) In transaction SWO1 copy model BUS2007A to ZBUS2007A (make sure set the status to implemented Edit->Change Release Status->Object type -> to implemented.
2)In transaction BDBG, check Object type, Object ZBUS2007A, Method ORDERMAINTAIN

I Put in Message type ZORDERMAIN
    IDoc Type ZORDERMAIN01
the function name will be: ZIDOC_INPUT_ZORDERMAIN
    3) configure transaction BD51
    4) Configure transaction WE57
    5) Configure transaction WE42
    6) and Finally Transaction WE20

  • Query on User exit for outbound idoc

    Hi ,
Can u all pls help me out to solve these queries
    1. when we extend a new segment (at we31) and create a new idoc type(at we30), say,for DELVRY05 idoc type-<b>what is the logic to be written inside the Exit</b>(at Transaction code - CMOD -where a project is created and the exit is found for the enhancement) ,to view our extended segment -that needs to be appended (viewed below the existing segment)at we02?
2.Can we delete the outbound idoc generated with errors from development server?
3.How to recify the outbound idoc errors-like runtime, syntax, port unreachable errors(at the status record and data records listed inside we02 transaction code)?
4.How to check values populated at our extended segment inside we02-Transaction code.
say,the logic required inside the exit may be,
<b>Select single ladel from eikp into wa_ladel where refnr = (inbound delivery)</b>
In this, the ladel exists in eikp table as EIKP-LADEL field.
The main thing is- an inbound delivery is created at transaction code VL31N for which an outbound idoc(using an  Exit )should be generated  with few more validations for the fields like
    i) ekpo-pstyp(corresponding IDOC segments are  E1EDL26-PSTYV )
    ii)ekko-lifnr and ekko-lichn(E1EDL24-LICHN )
Segment name-item(at transaction we63)                          Segment no.
    iii)   E1TXTP8-TDLINE => SCAC Code.                                    11
          E1TXTH8-TDID   => Z001.                                                 10
iv)   E1TXTP8- TDLINE => Primary seal number.                       13
          E1TXTH8-TDID => Z002.                                                   12
    v)    E1TXTP8- TDLINE => Secondary seal number.                   15
          E1TXTH8-TDID => Z003.                                                   14
5.Can you help me out to know the logic by which we can validate few fields from different tables like eikp, ekpo and ekko inside our Exit (in the project created at CMOD transaction?

  • Idocs for Purchase RFQ

    Hi Friends,
Does anybody knows how to configure, an Outbound Idoc to non SAP application for Purchase Request For Quotation? And after inbound a similar Idocr for update Quotation into SAP using estandar Idocs messages?
    Thanks for your help,
    Andres.

    Hi
    Check these links for Idoc
    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
    *IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
    Try this..Hope this will help.
    >>>> SAP ALE & IDOC<<<<
    Steps to configuration(Basis) >>
    1. Create Logical System (LS) for each applicable ALE-enabled client
    2. Link client to Logical System on the respective servers
    3. Create background user, to be used by ALE(with authorizaton for ALE postings)
    4. Create RFC Destinations(SM59)
    5. Ports in Idoc processing(WE21)
    6. Generate partner profiles for sending system
    The functional configuration(Tcode: SALE)
    • Create a Customer Distribution Model (CDM);
    • Add appropriate message types and filters to the CDM;
    • Generate outbound partner profiles;
    • Distribute the CDM to the receiving systems; and
    • Generate inbound partner profiles on each of the clients.
Steps to customize a new IDoc >>>
    1. Define IDoc Segment (WE31)
    2. Convert Segments into an IDoc type (WE30)
    3. Create a Message Type (WE81)
    4. Create valid Combination of Message & IDoc type(WE82)
    5. Define Processing Code(WE41 for OUT / WE42 for IN)
    6. Define Partner Profile(WE20)
    Important Transaction Codes:
SALE - IMG ALE Configuration root
WE20 - Manually maintain partner profiles

  • How to trigger an Outbound IDOC with a default status 68

    Hi,
How an Outbound IDOC can be created/triggered with a default status 68??
I have a requirement where the outbound IDOC should always get created with status 68. Once an Outbound IDOC is created, I should not be changing its status manually or using a program.
Basically we don't want any IDOCs created in other status and changing to 68 once an IDOC is created with a different status.
Currently i'm using fm 'IDOC_OUTPUT_DELVRY' to trigger an outbound idoc, and the idocs are triggered with different status 30, 2, 3 etc... By using a program i can change the status of the IDOC. But what we need is "Whenever an outbound idoc is triggered, it should always have status 68".
Please let me know the ways to achieve this functionality.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
We need to display all the IDOC data on a Smartform layout. But we dont need the IDOC to be used for our requirement. So we want to make sure that IDOC is triggered but will not stay in 02 or other status.
We have a process to monitor the failed idocs (02 status) and we do not want our idoc to have failed status. So we need the idocs to be tirggered directly with status 31 (thanks for letting me know that i cant use status 68 for outbound idocs).
    Thanks!
