IDOC - Partner Function

Dear All,
When I am sending a Purchase Order using EDI the IDoc is not capturing the details of the Forwarding Agent whose Partner Function is "CR" that I entered while creating a PO.
Could some one give me a solution for it.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Vivek,
Thanks for your reply.
1. Where do i have set the receiver port and the message type for each "partner fuction". We do this generally for a Partner Type. (Please clarify)
2. If I remove the syntax check box then my PO is not getting created in ME21n transaction.
3. I have checked the Partner types there is not problem with that.

    Dear all,
I am using IDOC (type - /NFM/ORDERS05) to send a Purchase Order. The Idoc is getting created but the only a few partner function is getting captured from the Partners tab in the ME22n transaction. The remaining partner functions that are not captured are SP (Forwarding Agent) and ER (Employee responsible).
Any bright ideas how to solve this problem.

  • Partner function for customer through IDOC

    Hi All,
I have a requirement in which I need to create the customer master through IDOC. I am using DEBMAS basic type for that. In its functionality, I need to assign different partner functions to it.
When I create customer without giving any partner details,  4 entries get created by default with partner functions as BP, SP, PY, SH and KUNN2 value as INTERNAL or the same customer number which is getting created. But I want that the customer number provided by me should be assigned as partner function. Is there any way to change the default entry which is getting created so that I can replace the INTERNAL customer number with the one provided by me.
I identified the segment as E1KNVPM in it at hierarchy level 3. I passed the partner function in the PARVW field of it and provided the customer number which I want to assign as partner function in the KUNN2 field. But I am getting error Customer INTERNAL already exists for function <Partner function>.
Am I missing something. Any msgfn or any other input.
    Please help me on this.

  • Partner Function for Vendor through IDOC

    Hi All,
I have a requirement in which I need to create the vendor master through IDOC. I am using CREMAS basic type for that. In its functionality, I need to assign different partner functons to it. I identified the segment as E1WYT3M in it at hierarchy level 3. I passed the partner function like OA or PI in the PARVW field of it and provided the vendor number which I want to assign as partner function in the LIFN2 field.
Vendor is getting created but Partnering details are not getting updated when I am seeing in the XK03 Txn. Am I missing something.
    Please help me on this.

    Hi All,
Moving further, I got another issue in changing the partner details of a vendor. Changing includes assigning another partner function to an existing vendor or deleting any already assigned partner function. I am doing this through IDOC. I am getting an error message 'Deletion of mandatory partner function 'VN' is not possible.'
I tried changing the msgfn also.
    How should I proceed here.

  • Partner function in Idoc header

    Hi All
What is partner Function???  What exactly is the role of a partner function??
Please help me to clear this concept..
    Thanks in advance..

Logical System name is used to indiacte the application system to which you are ging to send the data.
Partner profiles use the above Logical System name to determine the system to which the data is to be sent ie you have to tell wether inbound or outbound.
Suppose If you are doing IDOC to File scenario ,have to mention the Outbound Parameter in we20 ie IDOC message type name.
we use them to show where the IDOC should go (outbound)
or what should process IDOCs (inbound)
for more details about partner profiles and IDOCs

  • IDOC- XI- FTP Partner function LI error party normalization

    Hello,
Within XI we have a scenario where IDOC->XI->file(FTP).
IDOC is send using sende partner function LI and also receiver partner function LI.
We get the following Error when calling the FTP adapter:
Error during party normalization (party = 0000790463, agency = CED291, schema = ALE#LI) Normalization: Alternative party ID '0000790463' does not exist (agency 'CED291' and scheme '&amp;PARTY_SCHEME&amp;')
We can not change the way IDOC is sent out of SAP system.
The only way we can avoid this error is to create a (dummy) party and adding the identifier: agency=CED291 Scheme=ALE#LI name=0000790463.
However we do not want to create the dummy party.
    Anybody a clue??
Thanks and have a nice weekend.
    Emile

Additional information: When the receiving system is connected via HTTP-Adapter, the dummy party is not necessary.
This appears not to be very consequent.
    Can somebody explain...
    Tnx

    Hi,
First you have to create a new partner function.
Then assign that partner function to the account group.
Then assign that partner function to partner determination procedure for the item category.
Over here click on the mandatory button also.
Then assign that partner determination procedure to item category.
Then to XD02 and give your customer number and in the partner tab maintain the data for that partner function.
Now go to VA01 and create your sales order you will see you partner function.
If you wont have maintained it in the customer master then it will prompt an error.

  • RS partner function to IDoc INVOIC01

We are creating an INVOICE01 IDoc from billing document using output determination.
When the IDoc is created it has a partner function RS (= Invoice presented by) but the company name is misspelled. Where is this partner coming from where can I correct this? If I look at the invoice from which the Idoc was created it does not show this partner function.
I could not find in SPRO where this comes from.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks a lot,

    Hi Victor,
It generated inside FM <b>IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC</b> in include program LVEDFF0E.
    *-Rechnungskopf - Partnerinfo - Rechnungssteller
      PERFORM fill_e1edka1
        USING 'RS'.
Then you can use user exits <b>EXIT_SAPLBD11_001</b> to change segment E1EDKA1. This user exits is used in FM MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE.
    Hope this will help.

  • Partner function not working when creating PO with ref to PReq

Partner function is not working when creating a Purchase Order with ref to a Purchase Requistion, Partner functions maintained in the vendor master are VN, OA & PI.
But OA & PI are not appearing in the PO header partner tab when created with ref to PR.
however it works when i create the PO directly ( without the PR ref )
I am using the same material & Plant for both manual PO & PR to PO.
Any idea what could be wrong .
I have maintained the settings for schema groups for vendor master & purchasing doc in the partner determination.
    Thanks
    Dkmurthy

    Hi,
I have also an issue that seems similar to one you are discussing.
When we use ME59N and create a PO with ref. from a PR (created from a sales order), the message determination works well, it reads the condition set in MN04 (condition records for messages), and creates a message (with output type for EDI , medium: 6, and partner function LS: Logical system). Message is created and idoc is sent.
When we try with ME21N, ME21 and we create the PO with ref. to the same PR, either by entering manually the PR in the document overview of ME21N or by selecting the PR (without entering the PR number), i.e with date, the message is not created in the PO.
Company code is assigned to purchase organization, and so is purchase organization to plant.
Any idea why there is no automatic message determination in the case of the transaction: ME21N
Note: If I try ME21N, and enter the output type and partner, manually, I receive a warning message
VN006 (Partner XXXX does not exist for partner function LS). If I accept this warning message, then message is saved- idoc is sent. However I can not overcome the warning message, if it plays any role, because I can not assign partner function LS to the vendor. Then I receive message CZ 327 (Can not use this partner role).
    Any input is wellcome.

  • Tax Jurisdiction Code Check as part of a Sales Order Partner Function

    Hi,
I have a scenario where we modify partner information directly in the sales order. These partners are simple addresses and are not tax relevant. We have set them up as one-time customers. Every time when we modify the address information, Vertex kicks in and tries to match the address information (street, city and state) with a tax jurisdiction code. In our case the address information is high level (only city and state) which is not enough for Vertex. SAP issues then a blocking error message.
We try to find a way to ignore Vertex for these specific partners. In the documentation we have found a user exit, as well as a BADI, but our developpers were not able to make it work in the sales oder.
The user-exit is the following: EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001
The BADI is the following: IF_EX_ADDRESS_SUBSCREEN
In EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001, I've found a parameter (EXEMP_IND) which could enable to bypass the tax jurisdiction code check and the RFC call to Vertex.
In IF_EX_ADDRESS_SUBSCREEN, I've found a parameter (CHECK_ADDRESS) which could potentially bypass the check as well.
Did any of you already experience this scenario or would you have an idea about how I could make this work?
    Thanks
    Loic

Unfortunately, the sales order is created through an interface (using iDOCs), and the external system feeding the iDOC for the sales order creation does not have any Zip Code information. Besides, even if the Zip Code is entered, it is still not enough for Vertex to choose automatically a Tax Jurisdiction Code, most of the times, it is also requiring a District, which again, will not be passed from the interface.
We went through this analysis already and we came to the conclusion that we need to bypass this check, as this partner function is not tax relevant.
    Thanks,
    Loic

  • BAPI to add additional partner functions in customer master(KNA1)

    Hello All,
I wanted to add additional partner functions(2) to the list of partner functions which gets added by default while creating a customer. I am currently using BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEDATA1 to create the customer master. There i do not find any option to add my partner functions.
NOTE: I need to update KUNN2 field as well while adding my partner functions.
    Could anyone please help here?
    Regards,
    Jay

    Hi,
No you should not feel confident with SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL.
It is used for only one very special case. The maintenance of consumer. And this should only be true from the transaction itself.
There exists other cases, one of the oldest one is the BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1. But is is exclusively reserved for SAP Online store.
Despite the fact CMD_EI_API is quite difficult to use, it has the main benefit that is it supported if being triggered directly.
For the maintenance of customers, there is NO BAPI and NO direct function module.
There are some functions modules like the one above where the name is looking nice. But these should not be used.
The only valid solutions are :
Below ECC 2005 (6.00), the only solution was batch input and DEBMAS idocs. See note 384462
Starting with ECC 2005 (6.00) and above: a synchronisation tool has been introduce. See class CMD_EI_API and VMD_EI_API
    Hope this helps

  • RE:Business partner functions in customer Master creation

Do we need to send the Business partner functions while creating record in R3 thru MDM.
For any account group i pass the Idoc is expecting all Business partner functions to be defined for the account group to which am trying to create Customer.(As SH,BP,PY..)
Can anyone please explain me in brief the Business partner function -Problem in my scenerio............................Concept of  Business Partner function while creating Customer.

In ECC partner functions are used when you have multiple addresses for the same customer.  The partner function links those address records together.  You could have multiple unique customer numbers on the KNA1 table, but in the KNVVP table (partner functions) you maintain the linkage between the main table records.
Partner functions are not recommended in MDM.  These are generally not considered to be "enterprise level attributes" and therefore shouldn't reside in your customer repository in a central create scenario.  Additionally, some of the complexity required to model partner functions can't be modeled in MDM at this time.  When 7.1 comes out, there is a new data type called "tuples" which supports deeply nested structures, and therefore you could model a true partner function table inside the sales area table.

  • Upload partner functions to customer master using LSMW

    Dear Friends,
I'm trying to uplaod customer partner functions data through LSMW. I have tried to upload the data using recording method in LSMW(Tr. code: XD02).
As per the business requirement, I need to upload multiple number(For example: 10 records) of SP(Sold to) partners to a single customer.
While executing session, instead of adding all 10 records of partner functions, only the last record(i.e 10th records) is adding in the customer master.
Your response will be highly appraciated.
    Regards
    Satish

    Hi Satish,
You can't use XD02 to upload multiple partner functions by recording the transaction. It will not create multiple entries, always it will replace the existing ones with the new entry. you need to use the standard BI program or Idoc method do the same.
I know the scenarios for the vendors it didnot work in that way for me at that time I used Standard BI method to create the multiple partner associations.

  • Message determination and Partner function LS (Logical system) for PO

    Hi,
I have worked in the past with vendors (VN) as partner roles in a PO, with the message to create an EDI outpout to Partner Type: LI (Vendor), and this works succesfully.
Now, the idea was to use in EDI, a Partner Type: LS (Logical system) as a receiver of EDI messages (message types: ORDERS) for inbound Purchase Orders to the Partner.
So, we have set up a respective message condition, with Partner Function: LS  (Logical System), in transaction: MN04 (Create Output-condition records).
    A. When we use ME59N and create a PO with ref. from a PR (created from a sales order), the message determination works well, it reads the condition set in MN04 (condition records for messages), and creates a message (with output type for EDI , medium: 6, and partner function LS: Logical system). Message is created and idoc is sent to partner.
Any idea why there is no automatic message determination in the case of the transaction: ME21N?
There is a single message condition that is to be read for both cases (trans: ME59N and ME21N).
Note: If I try ME21N, and enter the output type and partner (=Logical System), manually, I receive a warning message :
VN006 (Partner XXXX does not exist for partner function LS). If I accept this warning message, then message is saved- idoc is sent.
However you can not assign a partner function LS to a vendor, in vendor master data, because of message CZ 327 (Can not use this partner role).
Anyone with similar experience? Thank you for your advice.

    Hi,
I well understand that the receiving partner can be a partner: Vendor (LI).
    I have seen that working.
However, in the Partner Profiles (trans: WE20), the receiver was created as a Logical System (LS).
We want the partner Logical system (LS) to receive the idoc for purchase order (ORDERS).
After that, I think that the idea is that the LS can generate an idoc for a sales order creation that will then outbound to another partner.  I think that this is the concept.
The issue is that I have seen that the POs created with transaction: ME59N, have received from message determination (trans: MN04) the message with partner LS (automatically), and the idoc of the purchase order (ORDERS) have reached the partner LS.
The question is why the message determination fails when creating the PO from trans: ME21N or ME21, with reference to the PR. Message condition is the same and message determination procedure is the same for both cases.
There is no issue with customizing for the LS in trans: WE20
(Port processing agent is Active for LS and ORDERS have the proper processing code for application EF).
I hope I am helping more with this.
