IDOC ReOrg Standard SAP Job ?

I am not sure if this forum is the appropriate one to ask the following question ?
Is there a Standard SAP Reorg Job (such the ones listed in Note 160873) that does IDOC reorg ?
Or I have to set something myself ?
Thanks in advance,
Tom

  • Same standard SAP prog is taking longer time in new version than older ver?

    Hello
The below scenario is as batch job.
IDOC processing standard SAP FM (which is designed and working on the Parallel processing technique) is taking 45 min, in release 3.1 SAP system and if we run the same variant (same amount of input data and rest of the stuff also same) in ECC6.0 verson, its taking 5 hours!
Actually, i do not have log on ID for 3.1 release, hence i can not debug it. Pls. let me know What is the good and best approach to analyse this bad perdformence? is it ST05? or i should debug the prog and watching EACH STEP by using F5/Single step debugging?
    Thank you

    Hello,
please refer to the blog of Hermann Gahm about ST12 transaction and use it to trace and analyze the results.
Here is the article how to trace a running batch job: /people/hermann.gahm/blog/2009/09/22/st12--the-workprocess-trace
But in order to really optimize something you'll need expert knowledge.

  • IDOC trigger using Z change pointers for standard SAP table

For IDOC trigger, is using custom change pointers on standard SAP master data tables, a good idea? A seasoned abaper told me "it will mess with the standard" and further told to go with scheduled job.
So, for example, say that my data for table T001K is updated via transports in PRD and I need to transfer this updated data via IDOC to an external system. Since there is no standard message type for this data, I will create a new one. Further, I will create a new change pointer for table T001K (it already has six fields with their data elements activated for Change Documents). Then I link the message type and the new change pointer. And so on an so forth. I have followed the procedure given here:SAP Tips: A to Z of Custom Change Pointer
Now, the question is, will this be a good idea to capture data and trigger IDOC? Or a batch program with calls to standard FM to read CDHRD/CDPOS be a more suitable option.
I need to know if a near instantaneous data transfer (and an effecient one as far as the system performance and reliability is concerned) can be acheived. If there is any other way of doing this, I am not aware of it!
Any one has any input/experience on this?

    Hi Viktor,
I think the batch program approach would be a good solution as the by this way you are taking matter into your own hands rather giving control to the SAP framework because you may have to test out the other approach as to how the standard SAP framework is behaving for custom change pointers.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Release? while assigning Z Message Type to a Standard  SAP IDOC Basic type

    Hi Experts,
Am trying to assign a custom Message Type to a Standard SAP IDOC Basic type in WE82 transaction, but am not sure How to find the Release(last column of WE82 Tx)? Pls. let me know.
    Thank you

    Hello,
In case of IDOC, Go to Transaction WE30, type your IDOC name & select basic type & extension.
After that select Go to -> Header data (Shift+F7), you will Idoc header info. In the same pop-up you will find IDOC release for which version.

  • Standard SAP Program to clear IDocs

    Hi all,
IDocs transfer takes place between 2 of our R/3 systems.
But due to network issues, many IDocs get stuck and we have to manually clear them.
I want to know if there is any standard SAP Program to clear the IDocs, so that the program can be scheduled daily and thus the whole process can be automated.
    Sid

    Hi,
The IDocs can be processed directly (by selecting the Idoc and clicking on 'Process' button).
But my requirement is that I want to automate this process by a standard SAP program scheduled daily.
Also the note 40088 was not of much use as it talks about archiving the IDocs.

  • IDOC  Delayed in SAP to XI

    Hi Gurus ,
An IDOC is resent and there is a delay from SAP to XI changing sales order .
Pls tell me a valid reason for this .
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
It might be possible that due to the large generation of the IDoc, the standard jobs might not picking up the IDocs within the scheduled time due to which  their might be a delay.
    Thanks

  • Idoc  b/w sap(r/3) and non sap system .

    hi gurus,
how i pass an outbound idoc  b/w sap(r/3) and non sap system .
which  function module we will use in this scenerio for inbound and outbound idoc both
please guide me  with an example .

    Hi Pawan,
Non SAP system should have RFC adapter in order to receive and send Idocs from/to SAP.
If this is not your case, you should us a Integrator Middelware with RFC and standard adapters like SAP Exchange Infrastructure.
If for example, your non SAP system is able to process data from flat files you can build next interface: SAP send Idocs to middleware that receive them using RFC adapter, middelware maps Idocs into flat file and send it to a one of non SAP system folder using FTP adapter. Non sap system triggers the flat file into its applications.
    Reward points if useful.

  • XI Outbound IDoc different from SAP R/3 Inbound Idoc

    Hi,
I am having a problem in processing an IDoc from XI to SAP.
We have created a custom IDoc, which will be populated in XI and then sent through to SAP R/3, which will then process the information in the IDoc.
I have imported the IDoc into XI and have been able to do the mappings and populate the IDoc from the XI side of things.  If I check the IDoc adapter, the populated IDoc leaves XI with the correct information and with multiple segments.
If I now go and check the IDoc that has arrived in SAP R/3, it only contains the first segment.  The other segments that were populated in the IDoc that left XI are now not there.  Also some of the information that was in the IDoc leaving XI is different to the information in the IDoc that has arrived in XI.
I do not experience the same problem when I populate a standard SAP IDoc.
Has anyone experienced this problem with a custom IDoc before?
    Thanks,

  • Idoc Scenario from SAP to SAP  via PI 7.1o

Q: Two idocs will process from SAP to SAP via SAP-PI 7.1o and generated together.
    Requirement :
    Sync
2 IDOCs – as we explained our design will require two IDOCs. The first IDOC will be developed by a Z code and the second IDOC is generated by 100% Standard SAP BAPIs and 2 IDOCs  send them to PI. Both IDOCs will be generated together by  process code in sap and must be moved to PI and later to the receiver client together(SAP). The process can only be 100% completed when both IDOCs will be processed with success in the receiver side. Any one of the IDOC among 2 idoc's failed all the process should stop.
i think that is not possible , PI will not be able to stop successfull IDOC If another IDOC get fails .
Please give me approaches if any chance .
    Thanks, Sanakr

  • How to search for a standard sap error message

    Hi all,
I want to know where exactly we need to search for a standard sap error message ( For example like STACK_NO_ROLL_MEMORY).
I am searching the same in sap market place/oss note search...but don't see what I am looking for ...
Could you please help on the same ?
    Thanks,

    Hi Shravan,
Normally system throws up an error when it reaches the threshold point. Normally the threshold / critical points are arrived at by considering the SAP recommended values and what is the sytem configuration you have got.
In true project scenario because of budget constraints we might not be able to have ideal system configuration which SAP recommends , in that case we have to tune to the system perform at an optimum level considering various aspects
In yr case memory parameters should have been set at level , but for yr job it needed more memory which it could not allocate and throwed an error.
hope i have answered yr question .
    Regards
    Balaji

  • *IDOC INBOUND ( NON SAP system - SAP system )*

I am transferring IDOC  INBOUND ( NON SAP system ->> SAP system ) by calling SAP standard funtc module IDOC_INBOUND_SINGLE using SAP JCo.
In which I am passing all necessary information in Control Record regarding sender and receiver port/IDOC/segment etc.
BUT help me to clarify my doubt that if i am calling a function and i am able to access SAP FM, then why i have to specify the SAP port/RFC connection at RECEIVER end in WE21.
Whats the Significance if i am calling the FM from same SAP system and configuring the port explicitly in WE21.*
If i don't Specify in we02 i am getting error as EDI : RECEIVER PORT in CONTROL RECORD is INVALID

    Dear Sree,
For Basic understanding of IDOC read : saptechnical - Step-by Step ALE IDOC guide ( all necessary TCodes available here )
Kindly let me know your data flow .
    In short :
As per my scenario the data flow is from  non SAP to SAP  i,.e. Inbound processing.
At my non SAP  i am calling SAP standard function IDOC_INBOUND_SINGLE using SAP Jco 2.1.
You have to fill all Control Structure EDI_DC40 ( port etc. ) and Table parameter EDI_DD40 ( segment etc. )
Read IDOC status and error in WE02.
    Goodluck.

  • Get Idoc Types Processed by Jobs Running Programs RBDAPP01 or RBDMANI2

Hi Everyone! I would just like to ask if there is a way I can identify all background jobs which are processing a specific idoc type in SAP?
For example, I want to get the Jobs that are processing inbound idoc type WMMBXY using program RBDAPP01 or RBDMANI2.
Is there a way to extract this information?
    Thanks in advance!

Vincent, we have a conservative approach RE those programs that re-process IDOCs in pending or error status : we do not define those jobs with open selections, instead we are specific in terms of message type and partner where applicable.  We also set a limit in the number or attempts on a failed IDOC by setting a 'rolling start date'  (like current date - 7).  Besides audit considerations about lingering processes,  you also need to take into account the impact of this process on the tale size. Each time the job runs and the IDOC fails, a status record will be added to the EDIDS table for each of those IDOC.  If you do not pay attention, you may end up with large amounts of data. This is not only going to unplease your BASIS and DB administrator but eventually put in jeopardy your archiving process (wchich could lead to a system crash !!).
We usually aslo complement those jobs with a status change step (moving from error to no further processing) ; the date parameter can be set to something like anythiing with a creation date > current date + 3 months
To come back to your question : SM37 using the program name as parameter will help you find the associated jobs, but you might need to look into the step(s) and associated variant to get the messages those jobs / steps are processing

    Thanks Lakshman!
I debug the program. There is no BDC used update. In this program after taking the data from excel sheet one internal table is prepared and this internal table is directly used to insert data into z table. This is the last code which executes.
      INSERT zmmpoamend FROM TABLE t_zmmpo_amend_tab.
      IF sy-subrc EQ '0'.
MESSAGE 'Data Upload Successfully completed' TYPE 'S'.

      ENDIF.
      CLEAR t_zmmpo_amend_tab.
      REFRESH t_zmmpo_amend_tab.
Is it possible to configure z table using SPRO tcode, such that this z tables data will go to standard table and then we can see it in the standard tcode?
