IDOC script in custom element forms

Hi,
I am using Site Studio 10gr4.
I was wondering if its possible to use IDOC script inside custom element forms. What I want to acheive is to display a combox box inside a custom element in a static list. The values inside the combobox are retreived from one of the views (created inside Configuration Manager in the content server).
Your help will be appreciated.
Many Thanks

OK, I found the answer :).
I checked in the custom element element form as an HTM. Chaning it to HCSP fixed the issue :).

  • Error in Oracle Sample Custom Element Form FORM_LINK_URL

    Hi All,
I've found the Oracle Sample Sites project very helpful in quickening the process of building new sites.
    http://blogs.oracle.com/ecmalerts/entry/site_studio_10gr4_sample_site
However, the Element Definition ELDEF_CUSTOM_LINK (which calls the Custom Element Form FORM_LINK_URL) seems to have a problem with 11g which I've not yet worked out.
When trying to use in Contribution Mode, the Custom Form locks the whole Contribution page and no elements are able to be accessed.
There are no JavaScript errors and no resource loading errors (I've checked everything in Firebug).
I suspect that possibly the API has changed since these were written... Has anyone a working version of this Custom Form, or can point me in the direction of a solution to resolve this as I am keen to look at and use the custom URL picker it enables.
    Thanks

    Hi Check these -
    1. Check these URL's are working

2.If Webutil installed? Then do proper configuration for "WebutilArchive"
    WebutilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
3.If Jinitiator is used, check if all corresponding jar files are downloaded onto user machine.Because all required class as shown in the error are there in jinitiator jar files. Also check all jar files that you have mentioned in archive_jinit are downloaded onto user machine.
DO like this if using webutil archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,colorpicker.jar,keyfilter.jar,my_icons.jar,frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
4.Enable all activex settings of your browser and do a proxy bypass setting in the browser as well..
    5. Check if you have download rights for downloading JAR files mentioned in archive_jini

  • JQUERY on a Custom Element Form

    Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to use the librairy jquery on a custom element form ( SSXA) . How to do a link to the jquery librairy stores in UCM ?
I want to create a date picker with jquery . anyone have already done it before ?
    Thank you for your answer

    Eran,
Can you elaborate on what you're looking for?
UCM comes with a number of sample custom element forms. These forms are leveraged within a pretty strict context of the site studio contributor. The primary api is javascript based.
I don't believe you would be restricted on the types of custom element forms you can create if you're implementing into a jsp/x site. I believe the issue is mostly dependent on how you're calling the SS contributor.

  • Replacing customer statement form (T CodeF.27)SAP script with Smartform.

I have a requirement to automate sending customer statement form which is triggered through T-code: F.27. For this we are trying to replace the SAP script which is triggered from program RFKORD11 with Smartform. We have tried copy the program RFKORD11 to a custom one which assigned to the correspondance type in t-code OB78 and do the modifications, but we could not do so as we are not authorized to copy the program. Can anyone help us in acheiving this functionality. BR, Karthik G.

    Re your question A:
F140_CUS_STAT_01 and F140_CUS_STAT_02 are SAP standard forms for customer statement.  You can use either one but usually you will create your own (by copying) to add company logo and name, etc.
If you use program RFKORD11 for customer statement, you specify the form to be used in the "Correspondence" field.

  • Making Custom Idoc Script function

    Hi all,
I am making a custom Idoc Script function. I have merged the resource
table into the core IdocScriptExtensions table. But i am not able to call the custom function in SiteStudio. Find below the steps that i have taken
step1) I have added a resource (Static Table) in my component which merges to "IdocScriptExtensions" fucntion.
Step2) I have already created the java class.
Step3) Edited <td>Myname</td><td>Myclass</td><td>MyloadOrder</td> in the resource with corresponding values.
Step4) From component settings added the custom classes.
Step5) made a build of the component.
Step6) Installed the component in my server.
now when i go to SS Designer and call this function then no response is generated.
This component will return me a boolean by quering DB. I have number of sysouts and traces but none of them is printed on the console. Can somebody please provide insited into what probably might be amiss here.
ANY pointers will be hightly appriciated. waiting for a quick response.
    reagrds,
    sapan

    Hi Sapan,
For the most part your steps look correct. Personally I would probably do the following:
    1. move your component's classes folder back inside the component
    2. register the folder in the component
    3. add the folder to the class path
    4. in the component's hda file, check to make sure there the merge rule is set for your IdocScriptExtensions entry.
if all of those are correct, occasionally the content server can be tempermental when new classes are added and so I would try disabling the component, restarting, then enabling and restarting.
If everything is compiled, it has to be either a classpath issue or an issue merging your IdocScriptExtensions table.
Also, if you go to Administration>Configuration Info, expand enabled components and find yours, it will tell your the classpath registered for your component(though your code is in the content server classes folder).
Sounds like you are really close though...did you get the debugger working?

I found a solution for this.

  • Can we execute an idoc script from a custom service?

Is it possible to execute an idoc script while executing a custom service?
    -Pratap

There are several ways to execute iDocScript from Java, but in this quick example we will use a PageMerger object. There are several ways to get ahold of a PageMerger object. If you are executing in a context where a service object is readily available you may be able to get a PageMerger object reference with code like this:
    PageMerger pm = m_service.m_pageMerger;
If that doesn't work for you I would try something like:
    PageMerger pm = new PageMerger(databinder, executioncontext);
Now that you have your merger object you can execute all kinds of iDocScript code, an example of which might be:
    pm.evaluateScript("<$lc(\"wwMyString\")$>");

  • Pass details into Custom Element

    Hi,
I've begun to create a Custom Element which I have based off of the Flash example that comes with the Ravenna Hosting example site.
My Custom Element creates and passes back some HTML just as the Flash example but I need this HTML to be editable (i.e. I need to pass it back into the Custom Element when a user wants to make changes). As it stands at the moment (and as per the Flash example) the code already present is lost and the form simply replaces the HTML each time it is opened.
I've searched the forum and the iDoc Reference Guide but am unable to find any functions or the like in order to achieve this - has anyone done this or can point me in the right direction please?
    Thanks

Since a custom element (Passero, this is a SS Custom Element, described in the standard Site Studio Admin Guide) is just an hcsp, you can have that page do just about anything you want. Might I suggest overriding the JS command that sends the content back to the parent window? For example, make that JS open a final popup with the code you need to be able to edit before exiting.
This is the first thought that came to mind so it may not be the best or most elegant. However, custom elements give you so much flexibility that you should be able to give your users the options they need with a little idoc and javascript. To some degree, I've built custom webapps using just the custom elements and it can work well (assuming that's what the use cases call for).

  • How can I add a Save form button ( not save as ) for a custom fillable form ?

How can I add a Save button ( not save as ) for a custom fillable form ?
idea is ti to have a Save button  at the bottom of each page where the person filling
the form  clicks the save button  on each page.( it is a 12 page fillable form )
The only thing I was able to do  was add a button that  opens a Save As
    dialog box only.
My experience  lever is - end user-intermediate.
    Thnaks.

    Thanks for the response.
I wonder why  it wont allow.
If I can  save ( as opposed to save as)   this form by clicking the  save icon on the  menu bar, I am not sure why it is no possible to do so on page level!
Custom script option is not  even remotely possible!

  • Custom tabular form for multi-row not saving data

Ok, before anyone asks, yes, I did read the how-to:-)
I have a custom tabular form, which I did cause I need to use popups and the popups that you can use in the wizard tabular form does not display the text but rather the value underneath it.
It returns data rather nicely and when I go and update values I can tell it is changing the fields underneath. I put a process in that will display the values in text fields on the form (for one row only) and I see them changing from what is already there and with the proper values.
However, when I do that the data that is displayed then gets reverted back to what it was previous to the update but reports that the process was successful.
I have also tried to insert but that is basically doing the same thing. Can anyone guide me.

    Florian,
Checkboxes are different from other HTML form items. When you have a text box for example, there's always a value send to the server when submitting. Even if that value is NULL. When you have a checkbox however, you only get the value if the checkbox is checked. It's not posted to the server when it is not checked. That's the general behavior of HTML forms and not specific to Oracle HTML DB.
When working with tabular forms in HTML DB, you can access your form values using the htmldb_application.g_f0x arrays. Now if you have for example 10 rows in your form, then you'll get ten elements in your array for text boxes, select lists, etc. For checkboxes however you'll only get as many elements as you have rows checked. If I read your update and insert code correctly, you're trying to use the checkbox arrays the same way you use the arrays based on other item types. My recommendation would be to use Yes/No select lists instead of checkboxes or at least use select lists initially to get it working and then work on properly processing the checkboxes.
Some general information about working with checkboxes in tabuar forms can be found here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/checkbox.html#CHECKBOX_IN_REPORT
    Hope this helps,
    Marc

so from the above  markup  the name field is not part of the edit form,, i think this is because the Name is part of the Document content type and not part of the enterprisewiki content type .. so is there a way to add the name field to the edit
    form ?.
second question, the edit form will show all the content type fields such as ; standard, document type, department , title (display in search), etc   so what is the best way to remove these fields from the custom edit form ?

    Hello John,
This can only be done by adding VBScript to the form. It would basically be:
    Sub Item_Open()
    Item.GetInspector.SetCurrentFormPage "P.2"
    End Sub
... where "P.2" would be what you named the page you want to display first.

  • Idoc scripting in workflow tokens

    Greetings,
A question for developers: up to what extent of Idoc Script calls can be made inside Workflow tokens? Only the function wfAddUser or other Idoc Script functions as well?
I'm trying to develop a dynamic workflow component that involves reading possible user, alias or ad-hoc metadata values from a database table using a custom Idoc Script function, into a token. So basicly, something like this:
    <$wfAddUser(customIdocScriptFunctionToFetchUsers(dDocType),"user")$>
Is anything like this possible at all? Tests done so far result in the content item entering and exiting the workflow automatically due to probably being unable to load the users, the strange thing is that no erros are being output, not even in the content server output with "workflow" or "idocscript" sections being traced...
The point of this mechanism is to avoid having to create large ammounts of (hidden) metadata to serve as support to store users/alias to be loaded into workflow steps as tokens. Feel free to suggest any other alternatives tho :p
    Thanks in advance,
    - Tiago Vidigal

    Hey Tiago,
Typically you try to limit your token script to just wfAddUser. It is possible to use basically any idoc script in a token but any failure at all will result in the behavior you are seeing with the item skipping straight through the step.
Using your current design here is what I would do:
-In the entry script for that step make your call via the custom script function
-Store the result of the lookup into a workflow variable: <$wfSet("usersForStep", getCustomUsers(dDocType))$>
-do your wfAddUser in the token: <$wfAddUser(wfGet("usersForStep"), "user")$>
-Sidenote: You can add multiple users at once in one wfAddUser call if you pass a comma delimited string of the usernames
Reason this works: the Entry script is always evaluated before a token when entering a step, meaning you can put any complex logic there where it is easier to debug and keep your token code clean.
    Hope that helps,

  • How to add .js link in custom list form through sharepoint designer 2013

    hi friends
so far i was adding jquery code to script editor webpart in custom list form.
but i need to know how to add .js link in custom list form through sharepoint designer 2013
    please help me.

    Hi,
We can add the "JS Link Property" in the “WebPart” node in the custom list form page through SharePoint designer 2013.
Here is an example for your reference:
    <JSLink xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WebPart/v2/ListForm">~site/Style Library/js/custom.js</JSLink>
Noticed that, we should not lose the 'xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WebPart/v2/ListForm' attribute.
