  • Inbound Idoc With LSMW

    Hi All
We are creating transactions for legacy data migration with LSMW using inbound Idoc. We are able to do the same successfully. As per requirement for each transaction some word and Pdf files have to be attached. Is there any way to attach documents with Idoc through LSMW?
    Thanks
    Avi

    Hi Avineesh,
What you can do is use two LSMW.
First one to upload transaction data and get the transaction number of all the uploaded transactions using IDOC.
Secondly use LSMW with BDC to attach the files to that specific transaction.
    Or
In option to above approach you can use LSMW with BDC to upload all the transaction along with attachment.

  • Creating a BP in CRM through LSMW using IDOC

I am trying to create a buss partner in crm through LSMW using IDOC:
    Message Type:  CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M
    Basic Type:       CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M02
I get an error: "No update is defined for BP role 000000".
    I am also filling
    IDENTIFICATIONCATEGORY: CRM001
    IDENTIFICATIONNUMBER:     12345678
However i get this error only if the external ID does not exist in table BUT0ID.
otherwise if the external ID is present in table BUT0ID and the object task is "U"pdate, the BP is saved.
Has anybody worked on BP creation using IDOCs? If yes please guide me.

    LSMW-BAPI
Step-by-Step Guide for using BAPI in LSMW
Note! The screen prints in this article are from ECC 5.0. They may differ slightly in other versions.
    Introduction:
This document details the usage of BAPI in LSMW. We have used the example of migration of the purchase order data into SAP.
    Pre-requisites:
It is assumed that the reader of this article has the minimum knowledge required on the Business Object, BAPI, Message Types and IDoc Types.
    Step-by-Step Procedure:
Details of the BAPI used in this scenario:
    Business Object: BUS2012
    Method: CreateFromData
Details of Message Type and Basic IDoc Type:
    Message Type: PORDCR
    Basic IDoc Type: PORDCR02
Let’s have a look at the BAPI first, before proceeding to the LSMW:
    1. Go to Transaction BAPI
    2. Click on Search Button
    3. Enter the value “BUS2012” and select “Obj.type(Technical Object Name”
    4. Press ENTER

  • Unable to create PO with multiple line items through LSMW-BAPI method

    Hi All,
I have a requirement of creating PO through LSMW. I can't use LSMW standard batch input program since there are some fileds not available and also it has many limitations. I'm using LSMW-BAPI method ( Business object BUS2012) which create IDOC and uses BAPI_PO_CREATE1 to ultimately post the PO in the system. I am trying to create PO from a single file which contains both Header and Item data.
Now my problem is that everytime PO is being created with Single line item only. Everytime I am giving multiple item data in the source file LSMW is preparing multiple IDOCs for multiple line items. As per my understanding this is happenng since header and item is in the same hierarchy level of IDOC type PORDCR102 and the control record is inserted for every line item in the source file.
It seems that through LSMW-BAPI  it is not possible to create PO with multiple line items. Can anybody provide some input regarding this? Thanks in advance.
    BR,
    Atanu Mukherjee

    Solved by myself.
Earlier the problem was that LSMW was not being able to recognize items under same header. It was creating new IDOCs every time it gets a new item. To enable this we need to create two structure HEADERDATA and ITEMDATA.  Two additional identifier fields with identifier value 'H' and 'I' should be added in these two structures respectively. Then we need one sequential file with the identifiers field followed by the header and Item data. Example:
    H~header data
    I~item data
    I~item data
This would help the standard program to understand what are the items under same header and ultimately create PO with multiple line items.

    Hi All,
Plz tell me how to upload class data through LSMW using BAPI.I also need some study material on BAPI.
    Bye,
    Mithilesh Tiwari

its not possible with single file
for this you need to pass two files of data
1 ) Header data ZSOURCE_LIST_HEADER       Source List Header
         MATNR                          C(018)    Material Number
                                        Selection Parameter for "Import/
         WERKS                          C(004)    Plant
    2) item data     ZSOURCE_LIST_ITEM         Source List Item
             MATNR                          C(018)    Material Number
             LIFNR                          C(010)    Vendor Number
             EKORG                          C(004)    Purchasing Organiz
             WERKS                          C(004)    Plant
             VDATU                          C(008)    Valid From
             BDATU                          C(008)    Valid to
for this use below LSMW IDOC method
    Message Type         SRCLST                      Source List
    Basic Type           SRCLST01                    Source List

  • Material master creation error through LSMW

    Hi,
I have a problem with creation material master through LSMW with object type BAPI.  I use below import methods
    Business Object BUS1001006
    Method                SAVEDATA
    Message Type    MATMAS_BAPI
    Basic Type          MATMAS_BAPI03
Material number is configured length of 12 with leading zeros.
In my text file material number is given as XXXXXXXXXXX which is 11 digits. When I start IDoc processing it issues an error message u201CMG019 the numeric material number & was transferred without leading zerosu201D.
Then I add 0 to material number in the file (it becomes 0XXXXXXXXXXX) and run IDOC processing it issues same error message again.

  • Upload Property Master Data through LSMW

I am using the following BAPI to upload the Property Data through LSMW.
    Business Object: BUS1502
    Method: CREATE
    Message Type: BUS1502_CREATE
    Basic Type: BUS1502_CREATE03
There are two issues which needs to be addressed and hope that this forum can help me out.
    1. In this BAPI, i dont see the field mapping for Company Code and Business Entity, both mandatory fields for creating a Property record.
    2. Skipping the first step, i reached the step "Start IDoc Generation" in LSMW and get the following error.
EDI: Table passed to EDI_SEGMENTS_ADD_BLOCK is empty.
Anyone encountered these issues? Suggestions to resolve these issues?
    Hamdan

    Hello Hamdan,
First of all, good decision to use BAPI + LSMW it is the best way to load DATA specifically in REFX. Here's answer to your questions.
    1. Pass Company code, BE, other header level fields in E1BUS1502_CREATE structure. This is the main Header structure of the Baisc type you are using. Create source structure with these fields and mapp it to the BAPI fields and you are all set.
    2. Check the EDI_DC40 element, or other structures if you are passing values. SAP/System will fill/populate these values on its own, do not pass any values example in fields DOCNUM, CREDAT, etc.
    Good luck,
    Jag

  • Error in Creation of Purchase Requisition through LSMW

    Hi
I am trying to craete a PR upload prog through LSMW batch input method. In the Specify File option I am giving the TXT file destination. The TXT file is saved at my desktop. But while saving it is givving an error as "No logical path has been specified", Message no. /SAPDMC/LSMW_OBJ_060046
If anyone can help me out.

    Hi,
I would suggest to create a new one for this as file is placed on your desktop. But you can refer the standard one with which you will get the idea for creation:
Standard logical file name for this is: MM_PURCHASING_REQUISITIONS
In this file location is default in location /usr/sap/trans/data/mmrequisitions, instead of this you can give your converted data file name from step 7 Specify file for e.g PROJECT00_CUTOVER_MB1C_1.lsmw.conv
You can refer or use standard logical path LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES for this scene.
    Hope this solves your problem.

    Hi Hemalatha,
Just call this Progream RSEOUT00 from your Zprogram and pass the basic parameters like IDOC number, Basic type,Partner number etc.
You can check the parameters by executing the Program RSEOUT00.
This Program will change the status of your IDOC 30 to 03.
    Thanks.

  • Recording CL20N through LSMW

    Hi All,
I am trying to upload the characteristics for Equipment in PM module through LSMW by using the object 0130 “ Classification”  and  method 0001 “ Batch input.
When we are trying to specify file, an error message is being prompted<b> “No logical path specified”.</b> We could able to proceed further. We could able to specify file for other objects without defining any logical path.
If anyone faced similar issues in LSMW, kindly provide me the solution.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Sunil.K

    Hi,
You can either use CL20 for loading via LSMW-recording or use following Batch input program:
    Object               0130   Classification
    Method               0001   Batch input
    Program name         RCCLBI02
    Program type         B   Batch input
It is not possible to make a recording for enjoy SAP transactions.
In the specify files step; for Converted data node mention logical path as LSMW (general rule) & 'logical file' same as 'file'. You can define the logical file 'LSMW' by Tx. FILE. this step is normally done by basis.

  • BOM Uploading through LSMW

I am Uploading BOM through LSMW by Direct Input method. I am having the following queries,
      1.  In that BOM I have Header data and Item data. While doing the Step 7(specify file) it accept the text file only not the Excel file. If I assign the Excel file means while executing the Step 9(Read Data). It gives error message, file and source structure have no fields.
So I came back to Step 7 and assign the Text file then it is accepting. What is the reason?
