Idoc to file format
hi guyz..
i have an idoc ..how can i chnge this into flatfile...any ideas will be aprreciated
thanks
hi sudheer
Hi,
: Can any one please tell me if there is any utility to download IDOC in presentation server flat file ??
: Thanks in advance
Not really but you can get the idoc as flat file easily by defining your distribution model to pass the message to a file port, say your home directory.
Create a file port using TXN WE21 - from here define the location (we use the locigal location of Home for testing) and a function module to generate the name. Then assign the port to the partner profile used in your distibution model.
You can then get the file from the system or use TXN AL11 to view the file from SAP and download it.

In idoc-xi-file scenario....... how to display file in html format ??
Thanks in advance
KumarHi Vijayakumar,
Thanks for your reply !! You mean to say I got to use XSLT mapping and also .htm and .html extension together to produce the html file ?? or it is sufficient to use any one of them to produce the html file ??

Hi all,
I am able to generate the PO Idoc in Flat file format using standrad FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS. but the Flat file appearing is not in a appropriate format.
I'm looking to generate the Flat file in such a way that there will be only one line for each Idoc Segment.( with Line termination).
How to Achieve this.

IDoc to File - Russian Characters not in UTF-8 format - File Receiver
Hello,
My scenario is Idoc to File. My SAP sender system is a Unicode system and my RFC connection to XI is also set to a unicode connection. My idoc is sent to XI OK and whenever I look at the payload in SXMB_MONI, I see the Russian characters OK, but the problem is when the file gets created.
My receiver system wants the file in UTF-8 format. When the file gets created, the Russian characters are not in UTF-8 encoding format. For example, the Russian chars look like (but without the spaces inbetween): Ð # Ð µ Ñ # Ð ¶ Ð ° Ñ # Ð µ Ð » Ñ ...
Instead, the chars should look like: Держатель
My file type in my file receiver comm channel is binary and I am also using the AF_Modules/XMLAnonymizerBean with anonymizer.encoding of utf-8.
Can someone please help me determine the problem?
Thank you,
RhondaHi Rhonda,
Hope you have set the following for your file receiver adapter :
1. Transfer Mode is set to Binary,
2. File Type Text,
3. Encoding ISO-8859-1( for Western European Latin ).
Inorder to recognize russian Character, try as follows :
Your sender idoc after coming into Pi has XML encoding declaration 'UTF-8'.
Write a simple XSLT mapping to change the value of the attribute "encoding" to "ISO-8859-1" in the output XML of message mapping . Include this XSLT map as the second mapping step in your interface mapping.
First step in your interface mapping will be your already existing message mapping.
An example of the XSL code :
<?xml version='1.0'?>
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method='xml' encoding='ISO-8859-1' />
<xsl:template match="/">
<xsl:copy-of select="*" />
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
Iam not sure whether Russian language encoding has ISO-8859-2 (Eastern European Latin) or
ISO-8859-1( for Western European Latin )...pls check out !
or you can also do java mapping instead of above mentioned xslt mapping if you are comfortable with java code !
Cheers,

Creating IDoc from DMEE File Format
Hi SDN,
Can I create Custom IDOCs from the DMEE file format.
The file is getting downloaded after the DMEE Run in a specific format individual to every company code.
I want to generate IDOCs for every DMEE Run.
Thanks,
ManuHi,
your problem is just like filling the segements using the data in other segements. that means if you have knowledge of enhancing the idoc and populating the enhanced segments then in the same way you can populate the BATCH segment also.
you just go to the function module which will be creating the idoc(if its outbound) / function module which will be posting the idoc which is for inblund and then find the perform where it fills the segments ( it will be the one which you will use to fill the segment BATCH )and go that and at last of form you will find one customer function which you can use to fill the BATCH segment.
i think this will help u,

IDOC file format convert into ANSI 834 *12 file format
Hi all,
I have a new IDOC, I want to change this flat file structure into ANSI 834 *12 file format.
How it will done.
Suggest.
Thanks
Sanket sethihi
Go to transaction WE30 and give the IDoc basictype name CRMXIF_PARTNER_REL_SAVE_M01 and press the view-button (or press F7 key).
This information you will need.
The records are builded using the following structure:
1st record contains control record information and follows the structure of table EDIDC.
Starting at where "220" is given (this is the CLIENT), it is followed by the IDoc number field DOCNUM (16 digits) and so on. Not all fields must be filled, only those that are used for inbound messaging. Keep here in mind: Less fields filled will probably work better (because SAP will add its own details on arrival of the IDoc).
All following records follow the structure of table EDID4 upto the field: HLEVEL (Hierarchy level, identical to the level found in WE30).
Thereafter it is followed by the name of the segment (including spaces) and after this it will follow the exact structure of the segment.
To view a sample, just generate a dummy (test) IDoc and use transaction WE19 to fill in the fields after changing to the correct IDoc type.
thanks -
Hi,
1, Where can see the IDOCS file format, whether is there any possibility of having different file format for different IDOCS?
Please let me know one example for this....
Thanks in advance.Hi
Idoc file format is flat file structue, that structure converted into idoc number format(16 degit number). If you are using file port EDI sub-system conver this file format into non-sap language format.
Thanks & Regards,

Error/Doubts in Idoc-XI-File scenario
Dear All,
I am doing one scenario in which DELIVERY idoc is posted from R/3 to XI and then from XI that idoc is to be sent as flat file to one local folder.
For this scenario, I have done all ALE settings and I am able to see the idoc in XI in cXML format. Now I want to sent it as flat file.
Now, for doing this I created 2 BS & 2 TS. 1 BS & TS of type Third Party for receiver & 1 BS & TS are of type Web as ABAP for sender. Then I have created one namespace in IR. I have not created any DT, MT, MI, MM becoz the structure of source and target file are same. Now, I created one IM in which I specified specified Type as "ABAP Class" & Mapping program name as one of the Z function module as specified in one of the SAP Guides.
Then in ID, I created 2 Parties ie. one for Sender & one for receiver. Sender is having a communication channel of type Idoc & receiver is having communication channel of type File. And thn further Receiver Agreement, Inetrface Determination, Sender Agreement & Receiver Agreement are configured.
In my system there is one scenario already configured which is using Delivery idoc so I have used party in my scenario for both sender & receiver.
Now, when I am sending the idoc from R/3, I am able to see cXML in SXMB_MONI but it is taking receiver as the one which is defined for the already existing scenario but not the receiver defined by me.
Can anybody guide if I have followed the correct steps & where I am doing the error.

How can I convert IDoc in XML format w/DTD into a string?
I want to send by e-mail outbound IDoc in XML format with its document type definition (DTD).
I want to be able to get the same output result into a string than the XML file IDoc port type with DTD activated. I have created a FM (based on SAP "OWN_FUNCTION") assigned to an IDoc port of type ABAP-PI that executes the following processing steps:
1-Extract outbound IDoc information to get the sender & recipient mail addresses (EDP13 / EDIPHONE tables).
2-Convert & Transform IDoc data into XML string using FM IDX_IDOC_TO_XML.
3-Prepare and send e-mail with XML attachement using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
I cand generate the e-mail with the XML file attachement but FM IDX_IDOC_TO_XML does not convert the IDoc with proper formating and DTD.
What should I use to accomplish the IDoc conversion to XML w/DTD into a string?
Should I use XSLT tools ?
How does that work?
Thank you

Use decimal string to number
Specifically, you can define a constant with a different datatype on the input on the lower left if you need a different datatype (e.g. U8, I64, DBL, etc) Are all your values integers or do you also need to scan fractional numbers? In this case, you should use "fract/exp string to number" instead.

Picking a IDOC Flat File stored in SAP R/3 Application Server by SAP PI
Hi,
Can SAP PI pickup a IDOC Flat File stored in SAP R/3 Application Server Directory and send it back as an Inbound IDOC.
Scenario:
We have a data in the EXCEL Sheet, which will be used to a fill an IDOC and the IDOC will be just save in the SAP R/3 Application Server Directory, but can not be triggered due to its peculiar behavior. Afterwards, SAP PI should pole the SAP R/3 and pick up that IDOC Flat File from the R/3 Application Server and send it back to the SAP R/3 as an Inbound IDOC.
For Ref: IDOC does not have a Outbound Process Code, thus can not be triggered and send to SAP PI. It is always used as a Inbound IDOC in SAP R/3 system.
Regards,
SaurabhSAP PI should pole the SAP R/3 and pick up that IDOC Flat File from the R/3 Application Server
If SAP PI = 7.11 --> /people/william.li/blog/2009/04/01/how-to-use-user-module-for-conversion-of-idoc-messages-between-flat-and-xml-formats
send it back to the SAP R/3 as an Inbound IDOC
why to send some information again into R3 which it already has? cant some internal code in R3 read the info from excel and then update the IDOC directly? -
IDOC to File, variable substitution on outbound message XML tag attributes
My scenario is IDOC to FILE using XSL mappings. The target format is 2 XML tags (header, line) with the data stored in the attributes of each tag.
EG. <header attr1=one attr2=two attr3=three><line attr1=one attr2=two /></header>
The name of the file is dictated by an outbound attribute value in the header tag.
Can I get access to it the attribute in the target message in the CC_FILE using variable substution. ?
Currently I am not using content conversion as the XSL produces the file format needed, so I would pefer not to change the outbound message format/structure as this is going to an external party. I would prefer not to change the outbound format as this would need content conversion to strip the unwanted/information/processing node that is used for this purpose (file naming).
The name is a calculation of fields in the IDOC and is not explicit dictated (business logic is applied in the mapping to get the file name), so I would prefer to use the attribute of the resulting XML to keep the "business logic" in the XSL..
Things that cannot be changed.... 1. Must use XSL.for mapping. 2. Format cannot be changed of the outbound message. 3. Would prefer not to involved content conversion to keep formatting/node structure in the XSL mapping.
I have seen some reference to this being possible on the forums but nothing solid from what Ive read.
Something like var1 = payload:/Header/@attr1 in variable sub to get at the attribute
Any comments ?
Thanks in advance.
One final piece of info. its on a PI 7.1 system.I think its best explained by my other thread Link:PI 7.1 Access to Dynamic Configuration through Java Class .
Thanks for the link I have already implemented based on that link but the one crucial difference is that it is implemented using a static method with no reference to the actual object (payload) for Dynamic configuration. It seems that without the 7.0 API which isnt available in 7.1 by default XSL with java extentions is limited to static methods. If you could read the other thread it certainly is possible I'm mistaken. -
IDOC to File scenario Configuraton settings
hi,
I am doing IDOC to FILE scenario.I am sending IDOC from R/3 to XI and then to XML file. That mean smy scenario is as Follows ( R/3XIfile ) These are my queries
-->I have created RFC Destination from R/3 to XI.should I need to create RFC destination from XI to R/3 ( i mean In XI )??
-->I have created one Port in R/3 and I have linked that port with RFC Destination that i have created.here i am sending IDOC from R?# to XI...SO we call this PORT as SENDER PORT or RECEIVER PORT??
-->and DO we need to create PORT in XI also??is it require for my scenario??
-->DO we need to create Partner Profiles in XI also??
-->DO we need to create LOgical system in XI to represent the XI system?? (as we created LS in R/3 to represent sender system)
--->Here is my big doubt..
when we test IDOC ..by sing we19 TCODE,
We need to fill the corresponding details as below,
Receipent Sender
Port Port
PartnerNo PartnerNo
PartnerType PartnerType
my Doubt is,
-->>In which field we need to specify the Port that we have created in R/3..Receipent side OR Sender Side..?? and Why??
-->>Same for ParnerNo..where we need to specify the Logical system which we have created in R/3 should specify??Why??
Please give reply ASAP..with detailedexplanation..
points will be rewarded..
regards,
muraliHI
SLD-
1) Create a Product/Software Component
2) Technical System pointing to R/3 system
3) Business System for the above technical system
In the Repository
1) Import the Software component created in the sld
2) Create a namespace,
3) import the idoc and then create sender data type/message type etc and mapping
4) Mapping Rules is depends on the requirement
In the Directory
1) Create a Scenario /import the business system
2) Create Receiver/Interface determination
3) Create communication channels for sender and receiver
4) Sender Agreeement and Receiver Agreement.
Then the file adapter configuration is depend on the input file format.
Also you need to have Logical destionation created in the XI , and the IDX1 entry
In R/3 Port, Partner profiles etc should be created
Have a look into this document~

While doing an File -> XI -> IDoc scenario, The Points to noted are:
1. You donu2019t need a DT, MT or a message interface for the IDOC as it itself acts as the Message Interface.
2. You import the IDOC and use the same in your mapping.
3. In this configuration note that you will need a sender agreement for the file.
4. In this configuration note that you will also need a receiver agreement for the IDOC.

How to pull out the file in IDOC to File scenario
Hi All,
I have a scenario where, we are splitting an IDoc into 4 different files thru BPM.
Those files are being sent to 3rd party file server. Now, is there any way in which i can see those files from my XI box?
I am able to see only the xml's of those files in sxmb_moni. But, i want to see those exact files in their file formats, which are being sent to the file server.
How can i get them?
Many Thanks

> i want to see those exact files in their file formats, which are being sent to the file server.
Create another Communication Channel FTP /NFS and get the XML file.
As Satish mentioned you can acheive it,
If you want to look at the File..Create one more File Adapter under the Same Business System temporaly point out the File adapter instead of IDOC Adapter then Switch to IDOC Adapter later.
