  • Creating Physical Inventory Documents using batch job in WM

We use transaction LX26 to create the physical inventory documents for the storage bins and the materials therein. and the new PI dates are proposed based on the cycle count indicators configured.
We want to automate the creation of physical inventory documents using a batch job. How can we achieve this?
I understand that the program RM07ICN1 generates PI documents only when materials are managed at IM levels and this does not work for WM. Is there any other standard program which can be set up in batch to create the PI documents for the materials at WM level? If there is something then please let me know details....
    Thanks,

    I entered following details,
    WH no.
    Storage Type
Inventory in Period (One year date range)
    Inventory Count date (Today's date)
The output in spool shows me the following,
No of Records Passed ;Quant Information; InventoryProposal; Later / block; Bin Information; Empty bins; Inventory active
The list of storage bin, material, description & inventory date is also displayed.
Description has Scheudled and Overdue and the inventory date is some dates in next months.
It doesnt show anywhere that inventory document is generated. Please note that I had not selected the Activate Inventory List check box because I just want the system to auto create the inventory documents based on the logic of cycle count indicators.

  • Error Message Wile Creating an Inventory Document

    Dear gurus!!
I'm trying to create an inventory document for a material but I keep getting this anoying message
"Item 001: no batches includable in phys. inv. exist for 199999921"
Do u know whta it means??
    Thanks in advance!!!
    Ignacio.

    Hi Jonathan,
Thats was indeed fantastic and it worked.
The issue seems to be a combination of current date (factory calender) + date when the material is available from the schedule line.
In my case the material was available on 17/03/08 in the schedule line and the delivery screen was taking the current date - 15/03/08.
I changed it to the date inline with the schedule line and it worked.
Thanks for the help and quick response.

  • Extending an IDoc Type or Creating Custom IDoc type

    Hi Experts,
We need to modify IDoc Type "DESADV01" for adding extra fields. Should I extend this IDoc Type or Create a new Custom IDoc type with the extra fields? Which is the best practice? This is my first time with IDoc functionality. Please let me know.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Dev,
    Simple solution man.
Try to create an extension for the Idoc you wanted to extend.
Steps would be as follows: -
    1) Go to WE31, create the z-segments and make them ready
    2) Go to WE30, give some name for the extension and select the radio button extension and click on create button
    3) It will ask you necessary details like which idoc you wanted to extend...Give the details and add the z-segments and save it.
    4) Release it
    Thats it.
    Hope this solves your problem.
    Thanks,
    Babu Kilari

  • How to garantee IDOC types are the same on two communicating sap systems.

    Hi all:
how to garantee IDOC types are the same on two communicating sap systems,  including segments and versions, using bd64?
what's more, what bd64 using for besides generating parter profiles,  must we use bd64 for outbound idocs?
        Thank you very much
    best regards ?

    Hi jingying Sony
You can compare the Idoc type and Version between Sender System and Reciver System.
Use TCode SCMP and Compare the Table EDIMSG in Both System.
    This will solve your issue.
    Thanks

  • Error while creating physical inventory document with zero count

    Hi,
I am trying to create a physical inventory document for a material that has zero stock and that is not batch managed but I am geting an error as below.
"Item 001: No batches that can be included in phys. inv. exist.(Message no. M7701)"
This error occurs only for one or two materials.
I am able to create the physical inventory document for other materials which is also zero stock and there is no batch managed for the same.
    Can anyone pls advice.
    Regards,
    Ramya

    hi
if your material is split valuated, but not batch managed, then the split valuation type is shown in field batch number. And...it is a batch then.
To be able to do a zero count you have to have a batch record whose batch number is the valuation type.
If you never had stock in the storage location you want count, then you have to
    1. extend the material to this storage location with MMSC
    2. create the batch record with MSC1N for this storage location.

  • Need IDOC type to create outbound Delivery in SAP

    Hello,
I am looking for the IDOC basic type, message type and process code which will be able to create an outbound Delivery in SAP.
    Scenario:
Inbound data needs to be integrated into SAP to create an outbound delivery with reference to a Sales Order.
    Thanks
    Satie

    Satie,
To confirm, you want the Delivery create triggered as a result of a file received from your Customer ? Is it purely a trigger, or will there be other information included in the file that might be included on the SAP Delivery ? If it's purely a trigger, I think I'd probably look into blocking the Sales Order in some fashion (e.g. Header Delivery Block), and using the trigger to release the Sales Order, i.e. ORDCHG. You could probably write additional data, such as Delivery Instructions, at the same time. If however, you need the inbound file to directly create the Delivery, I suspect you will need to create a custom iDoc / Function Module to call a BAPI to create the Delivery with reference to the Sales Order.
    Cheers, Paul.

  • MI31: Cannot Create Physical Inventory Document for a Certain Material

    Dear SAP MM Friends,
Greetings! I am a budding MM functional analyst in our company. I received a call earlier regarding with transaction code MI31 (Selected Data for Physical Inventory Documents w/o Special Stock). The user cannot generate a physical inventory document for a certain material.
The thing is, we no longer have any stock for this material (MMBE). I tried generating physical document again by ticking "Only Materials with Zero Stock" but to no avail.
May I ask what might be the reasons behind? Your prompt response is highly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.
    Best Regards,
    Albert

    Hi,
Please check also the existing physical inventory document for material, probably you still have active physical document from previous period.
    1. Go to MI22 --> select your plant, storage location or you can also specify your material number --> execute.
    2. Check your Physical Document list, at field Status doc. --> if the status is Doc. active, but it is not in your current period, then it could be the problem.
    3. Delete the physical inventory doc that you found in step 2 (use tcode MI02 --> physical doc, year --> choose delete button)
    4. Try to create new physical document for the material.
    hope this help.

  • Read IDOC WMMBID02 information and compare inventory data with SAP

    Hi All,
Here is an explanation of the issue:
I need to read the data from an inbound IDOC, status 64, of standard type WMMBID02 and message type WMMBXY. I do not want to post the IDOC, but only read the IDOC information which is mainly the material number, batch, status(INSMK), quantity and unit. This data I have to compare with SAP data and see if it is same for the selected material numbers. Now to read and process the inbound IDOC we have a program RBDAPP01 (BD20 Transaction) which calls the process code WMMB (WE42 transaction) which in turn calls the function module L_IDOC_INPUT_WMMBXY. This FM posts the IDOC. I have created a function module with the same import, export and tables parameters like this FM and have attached it to a custom process code ZWMMB. This function module should just read the data of the IDOC and put it in the table TB_IDOC_DATA like EDIDD (IDOC data records). I then loop into this table, extract SDATA and split it into the 3 segments of WMMBID02 and then extract my required data, MATNR, CHARG, INSMK, MENGE & MEINS.
    My Question:
How do I trigger the process code ZWMMB so that I can read the IDOC data when it is fired (status 64), just like program RBDAPP01. Is there any standard code that can be copied and modified or how to do it???
I have tried to be very clear with the question, please reply if the question is not clear. If I am clear, please help
    Thanks Anirban

I am able to read the contents of the IDOC, but I need to run the FM when I fire the IDOC of message type ZWMMBXY. I have created a custome FM which will behave as a stndard FM for inbound IDOC processing.

    Hi,
If my Understanding is Correct You want to Make the RFC Destination of Type H From R/3 to XI.
If you want to send Any XML Data to XI( In case of Proxies Used means)
For Testing purpose You can use Your User And Once it went to production means You can Use Service User in the Logon Details( Ask Basis people to create one Service User & Use it)

  • IDoc to Create Shipment Document in SAP

    Hi,
I want to create the shipment document in SAP via EDI message from freight forwarder and subsequently update the shipment document(VT02N) statuses via EDI  like planned/loaded/shipment end etc....
I am reasearching on the Idoc type for that...I found SHPMNT03 etc could be used to create/change document but I don't know where the Transportation planning point field exists in the Idoc type. Please help me to how could I create the shipment document...
I am able to create the shipment document using TPSSHT01...but not sure whether it would be good as it's used with TPS and we don't have any external TPS. We just want to create shipment document in SAP based on freight forwarder edi messages 856 I believe
    I am new to EDI
    Thanks
    Chil

We used a program to create the IDoc but I don't see a transportation planning point anywhere in it. I think it should be picked up automatically from the deliveries and I wouldn't fixate on that. Here is the code fragment, but you don't need to fill in all those fields:
    e1edt20-shtyp = '0003'.
          e1edt20-signi = i_table-route.
          e1edt20-exti1 = i_table-route.
          e1edt20-exti2 = i_table-driver_num.
          e1edt20-tpbez = i_table-driver_name.
          i_edidd-sdata = e1edt20.
          i_edidd-docnum = w_docnum.
          i_edidd-segnam = 'E2EDT20001'.
          APPEND i_edidd.
          e1adrm4-partner_q = 'OTP'.
          e1adrm4-partner_id = '0001'.
          i_edidd-sdata = e1adrm4.
          i_edidd-docnum = w_docnum.
          i_edidd-segnam = 'E2ADRM4001'.
          APPEND i_edidd.
          e1adre4-extend_q = '305'.
          e1adre4-extend_d = '0001'.
          i_edidd-sdata = e1adre4.
          i_edidd-docnum = w_docnum.
          i_edidd-segnam = 'E2ADRE4001'.
          APPEND i_edidd.
        e1edl20-vbeln = i_table-vbeln.
        i_edidd-sdata = e1edl20.
        i_edidd-docnum = w_docnum.
        i_edidd-segnam = 'E2EDL20'.
        APPEND i_edidd.
From what I remember, this IDoc worked rather strangely and I had to fill in some fields for no obvious reason (e.g. both e1edt20-signi and e1edt20-exti1 when SIGNI is really the one we needed). At some point, I just tried filling in all the possible fields to get past errors. Like I said, it just takes some trial and error.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to that system anymore and have no further information. Also we didn't do any shipment changes. You might want to search in ABAP forum. Good luck.

  • Need help in creating a Physical Inventory Document with HUs given

    Hi Gurus,
There is a problem I am facing while doing a ALV report.
I have created the report and there is a button which i have fixed which has to create Physical Inventory Document.
    The scenario is:
I will select the records in the report based on the Vessel Bill Of Lading (VBOL) (related to Batch characteristics of a material) and then i need to pass those values to create Physical Inventory Document.
I got a functional module HUINV_DOCUMENT_CREATE which will create the document but I am not clear what are the values that I need to pass in this.
Or do anyone know how to create the Document by passing HU (Handling Units) and Plant & Storage Location?
Please help me in the same.
    Thanks and Regards
    Vipin Das V

    Hi ,
Just Pass the table of Handling Unit .That's all.

  • Confirming Inventory Document

    Hi,
I am trying to write off stock for a particular material. As WM has been implemented  I have created a transfer order (through T-code LT01) with movement type 999 and destination storage bin INVCLR .
I have created an inventory document (LI01N)for the storage bin but when I go to confirm this inventory document(through t-code LI02N)  I am getting the message " **Quant 0000000015 for storage bin INVCLR cannot be counted". I am not able to understand what this means. Can you please tell me how to correct this ?
    Regards
    Mohan

    Hi Kris,
Regarding your reply for points 2 & 3 , the quantity is positive and also the bin is not blocked.
I am not sure if there are any open T.O for the particular material. As I am new to Warehouse Management could you please tell me how to check whether a material has an open T.O or not.
Also I have not understood point no 4.
    Awaiting your reply
    Regards
    Mohan
