IDOC-- XI-- FTP

hi all
i am doing the abover scenario.
in message monitoring R/3>XI>FTP is successful
FTP>XI>R3 System Error. How to handle the ACK.
MY Question is Do i have create any message mapping etc., to process the ack. or it will be automatic with the LS.
I dont have access to SLD currently.
ERROR MEssage:
Unable to convert sender service to an ALE logical system
thanks

HI Sri,
According to your Error message , What I can understand is , there is no proper logical system/business system is created between XI and R/3.
If you have access to Tcode-SM59 of R/3 system/XI system, try to test the connection. If everything is correct, go to Business system in the COnfiguration and check for the "Adapter Specific Properties". If it is pointing correctly to R/3 system,then it is ok.
Go thru this blog for more info

Regd. ACK- Are u talking about Idoc Acknowledgement/FTP Ack ? If FTP, then there is no application ack. supported by Legacy systems like File System.
For Idoc ack-
Acknowledgement - IDoc-File & File-IDoc scenario
Hope this helps..

  • IDOC to FTP File - Error : SAP:Stack No receiver agreement found for send

    Hello Friends,
    I need to configure a senario Idoc to FTP File, Í did required settings in R3 and in PI... , did mapping and configuratino in PI... and when I send my idoc I got error msg in monitor
    <SAP:Stack>No receiver agreement found for sender ,BMG_ASN_File_Component to receiver ,GTN_224,http://adis-bmg.de/asn,SI_BMG_ASN</SAP:Stack>
    I search the fourm but did not got my answer, me just a bit confused...
    In my senario I have having followings:
    1. Bussiness System ( RFT : sender R3 system).  ( I have define a party and make a connection under Idoc Partner )
    2. Bussiness Component ( ZTEST_COMP as on Reciever side is File Server, so I define the reciver as bussiness component )
    3. Communicatin Channel
        File with protocol FTP having communicatin component as my Bussiness Component ( reciver ). there I defied the required info for FTP
    4. Reciever Determination
        Sender:
        - RFT
        - Idoc-Interface
        - urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages
       Reciever
        communication party  = space
        communicatin component = ZTEST_COMP
        Configure Reciever:
       There I again define the communication component as  ( ZTEST_COMP)
    5. Interface Determination
        -RFT
        - Idoc-Interface
        - urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages
       Reviever:
        ZTEST_COMP
    and define the mapping which I did in design ( although I have seen some threads where mentioned we dont need maaping in this case ) ?
    6. Reciver agrement
    sender:
    - RFT
    Reviver:
    - ZTEST_COMP
    - SI interface ( SI_BMG_ASN )
    - http://test-etc.de/asn
    and included my CC for file .....
    Now when I send Idoc I got error msg that Reciver is not found : am I dong something wrong ?  do I have to defien a bussiness system instead of Bussiness Component ?
    Pls suggest...

    ( I have define a party and make a connection under Idoc Partner
    Do you really need a party in your communication? Should it not be a partly-less communication.
    In the receiver agreement ensure that you have included the inbound message interface.
    communication party = space
    No need to give any space.
    In the Interface Determination i hope that you have included the receiver meessage interface and then the corresponding Interface Mapping.
    If still not works then make some dummy changes and again activate....correspondingly check the cache status of the ID-objects

    Abhishek.

  • IDOC to FTP keeping IDOC format

    I am trying to ftp an IDOC to another server without it converting to XML format.  I know there is a global setting to not convert for the IDOC adapter, but I do have 5 other scenarios that need the XML conversion.  Is there a way to have a scenario that goes like the below...
    IDOC -> XI -> FTP
    and keep the actaul file in the IDOC format?

    Hi,
    have a look at this weblog to understand one
    of the approaches:
    /people/alessandro.guarneri/blog/2006/03/05/managing-bulky-flat-messages-with-sap-xi-tunneling-once-again--updated
    the second approach is to use module IDX_XML_TO_IDOC
    as described here:
    https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700001795162005E/HowToIDocXMLToFlat.pdf
    these two should give you a good starting point:)

  • Migration Strategy IDOCS or FTP

    Hello Friends,
    I have roughly around 8 million records which I need to transfer from Standard R/3 to a staging layer ( not decided yet mostly DB2) .
    I am looking for a strategy  as how to transfer this large amount of data from SAP using IDOCS or FTP and which would give me a better performance and tracibility.
    Also if you guys can tell me what is the advantage of using BIZTALK inbetween them when using IDOC  ?
    Regards,
    Sohail

    Hello,
    Better performance depends upon how you design the itnerface to extract data .If it's customised interface using which you are going to generate idocs or extract data into file for FTP ,then good design & coding is necessary.
    & as far as tracability is concerned ,then first question is you want to trace records by some parameters ? If yes,then IDoc may not be correct.Then your extraction interface will be better .You need to design it using parameters based on which file will be generated & send it to other system via FTP.& that file you can use it to check records(e.g.  as per sales org,customer,material etc.)
    So the criteria for which you need tracability that has to be taken into account for selecting transfer method.(idocs/FTP).& also which method will involve more development efforts that also matters.
    BIZTALK  can be used as an intermediate tool which will help transfer of  SAP-readable IDocs to receiving system readable data (e.g. sap -> middleware tool -> receiver system)
    Hopw this helps.
    Thanks.

  • IDOC to FTPs performance issue

    Hello everyone,
    I have a scenario BS_A:idoc > xi > BS_B: file via ftps (ftp over ssl/tcp).
    For each idoc two different files (content conversion) are created in the same directory.
    I therefore have one receiver determination and one interface intermination with 2 inbound interfaces + interface mappings + 2 file receiver adpapters.
    I have a performance problem when more than one idocs are created at the same time. First message goes through very fast. The ones after that take there time.
    It takes 10 to 30 minutes (and some times more) for 2 idocs to deliver successfully 4 files at the other side.
    Note 1: I do not exprience this when i work with normal FTP.
    Note 2: I have unchecked the "Maintain at order time" check box in the interface determination. If checked then the QoS is set to EOIO.
    Thanks in advance for any input or suggestions.

  • IDOC- XI- FTP Partner function LI error party normalization

    Hello,
    Within XI we have a scenario where IDOC->XI->file(FTP).
    IDOC is send using sende partner function LI and also receiver partner function LI.
    We get the following Error when calling the FTP adapter:
    Error during party normalization (party = 0000790463, agency = CED291, schema = ALE#LI) Normalization: Alternative party ID '0000790463' does not exist (agency 'CED291' and scheme '&amp;PARTY_SCHEME&amp;')
    We can not change the way IDOC is sent out of SAP system.
    The only way we can avoid this error is to create a (dummy) party and adding the identifier: agency=CED291 Scheme=ALE#LI name=0000790463.
    However we do not want to create the dummy party.
    Anybody a clue??
    Thanks and have a nice weekend.
    Emile

    Additional information: When the receiving system is connected via HTTP-Adapter, the dummy party is not necessary.
    This appears not to be very consequent.
    Can somebody explain...
    Tnx

  • Idoc to FTP and acknowledgement

    Hi All
    I have a scenario to send purchase order idocs from SAP to external vendor FTP server using XI. I have to send idocs for create PO, change PO and cancel PO using one interface (ORDERS05 idoc type and ORDERS message type). Is it good process? How does the receiver FTP server distinguishes between create, change and cancel? Is there any segment field which has values for create, change and cancel?
    2) What is the best way to receive an acknowledgement back from FTP server once it is sent successfully?
    Appreciate any help. Thanks
    Ricky

    Ricky,
    FTP adapter doesnot support synchronous calls. If you want to do this then I think you have to go for BPM.
    or
    Check for bhavesh reply in this thread:

  • Strange problem : Idoc to FTP scenario

    Hello,
    I have created Idoc in SAP & imported into PI. I have done mapping for all the fields of Idoc but now I have very strabge problem.
    There are two fields which are not getting transferred to PI eventhough I those two fields are there in Idoc.
    If I look into inbound payload of PI, two fields if Idoc are missing eventhough mapping is maintained.
    Does anybody have amy idea on this?
    Regards,,,
    Sunil Joyous

    Use trans IDX2 in PI and upload the IDOC metadata again.

  • Sending multiple IDocs (all in single file) to FTP via XI

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement as below where we are looking for various feasible solutions.
    The requirement is to collect multiple IDocs in ERP (2000-5000 in number) per day (either Flat File or XML) and needs to be sent as a single File (which has all these IDocs) to FTP Server via XI.
    BPM is not allowed to use and we are working on PI 7.0, so IDoc packaging is also not applicable. There is no mapping required, we need to just route them to FTP from ERP System.
    Looking forward for various solutions.
    Regards,
    N. Jayanth Kumar.

    Hi,
         Using the XML file port at R/3 to collect the Idocs would be a feasible solution. Also, as Sunil as already pointed out, you can configure this as a pass through interface, which will improve your overall processing time.
    Another solution can be to pass the Idocs to PI and then use the append mode in the receiver file adapter to collect the days idoc into a single file.
    To append only idocs for a particular day, try using dynamic filename, where file would have the date in it. This way, only Idocs for a particular day would be appended.

  • Send idoc to SAP using FTP

    Hi All,
    The below mentioned is my requirement:
    From legacy system need to send idocs i.e..
    Flat File --> Data services --  via ftp -->SAP
    Material master date is available in the file file.I have to fill the idoc matmas using the data services and send it to sap.
    So in order to achieve this I have performed the below mentioned steps:
    1.Created data store and Imported the idoc matmas from sap(All types of configurations are done)
    2.created datastore for flatfile
    3.mapped the fields in flatfile to idoc in dataflow.
    Now here are the show stopper's for me:
    1.How to send this filled idoc through ftp?
    2.How to extend the idoc in data services?(if an indicator in flat file is  '1' then I have to extend the material to all the plants available)
    Please share ur inputs.
    Thanks,
    Ugandhar

    Ricky,
    Is it ok if you can schedule your file adapter for every 1 hour. If yes then see this weblog:
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/11/26/adapter-scheduling--hail-sp-19-
    But what I see is one disadvantage. If you send Idocs from R3 it will reach to XI and will stay in XI till the adapter process it.
    One other option is collect the Idocs in R3 and send to xi.

  • IDOC to File scenario with multiple directories on same FTP.

    The scenario is IDOC -- to FTP (Receiver file adapter). Based on the condition in the sender IDOC say if EIDKA01-BSART = Y than the directory path on FTP server is 'A' ELSE 'B'.
    There is only one reciever service defined for the FTP server in the Integration Directory. Its not multiple receiver scenario.
    How do we do this?
    Thanks

    Hi !
    Just create an UDF in graphical mapping and put this code inside:
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    //get Key of Directory
    DynamicConfigurationKey keyD = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( URLFile, "Directory");
    //Replace value of Directory
    conf.put(keyD,dir);
    where "dir" contains the destination path depending on the EIDKA01-BSART value. When this code executes, if the receiver file adapter has the adapter-specific attributes (directory) checked, then it will set the "directory" value to the one specified in the "dir" variable.

  • Problems with sender IDoc scenario

    hi experts..,
    when i create message Interface for a Outbound Idoc my scenario is not working.
    if i use idoc directly instead of message interface its working properly
    And in Interface Determination if i gv interface mapping we are gting errors and without mentioning interface mapping in Configuration its is working fine
    can any one explain me what is the reason for my two questions
    thx in advance
    john wesly

    Hi,
    I will explain one example by taking one IDOC
    we have ORDERS05 Idoc and we are using the same Idoc for two scenarios
    Scenario1 -
    IDOC---File( FTP Server)
    Scenario2----IDOC-JDBC
    Now let us assume that we have configured two scenarios.
    If we trigger the IDOC Orders05 from SAP R/3 means
    1) The Idoc will be triggered and it will reach to XI.
    Now your doubt is which Receiver will be take place and to be executed.
    This time the problem my come or may not come, let it be like that.
    If your requirement is like the above mentioned thing means
    1) We can develop a single scenario like
                     IDOC-------File( FTP Server)
    JDBC
    Here what we have to do is when the idoc comes to xi we have route the Idoc to the particular receiver based on some condition in Receiver Determination
    And one more thing is in mapping also if we have two mappings then we can use Interface determination based on condition which interface mapping to be execute.
    I hope this clears yor doubt
    Regards

  • Subnodes and content conversion in FTP-Adapter

    Hello experts,
    the scenaria is IDOC -> XI -> FTP and content conversion is used.
    The structure of the IDOC is like:
    <head></head>
    <pos>
          <subnode></subnode>
    </pos>
    <pos>
           <subnode></subnode>
    </pos>
    There can be 1 ore more positions.
    We mapped this to a XML-structure according to help.sap.com
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d2/bab440c97f3716e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    As we are not allowed to use subnodes all segments have to be on one level.
    How can I map to a structure (with 1 OR MORE positions) like
    <head></head>
    <pos></pos>
    <subnode></subnode>
    <pos></pos>
    <subnode></subnode>
    At the moment we are only able to map to:
    <head></head>
    <pos></pos>
    <pos></pos>
    <subnode></subnode>
    <subnode></subnode>
    In the datatype I can't specify that a position always is followed by a subnode ... i only can use remove context in mapping and put all subnodes beneath the positions. Is there any possibility in graphical mapping to change this?
    Thanks and regards,
    David

    Ok, what can I do, to describe a data typs with variable amount of pos' FOLLOWED by subnodes?
    Or is it possible to create an item line with pos and subnode and remove this line later (move everything to first level).
    <item>
        <pos>
        <subnode>
    </item>
    <item>
        <pos>
        <subnode>
    </item>
    <item>
        <pos>
        <subnode>
    </item>
    MAP TO:
    <pos>
    <subnode>
    <pos>
    <subnode>
    <pos>
    <subnode>
    I can't create a data type like this...
    EDIT:
    Remember, there can be documents with 1 or many positions... and the fieldname always is the same.... the datatype definition doesn't acceppt duplicate fieldnames and fields that are not in a defined sequence.

  • Receiver FTP adapter

    Hi
    I have a idoc to ftp requirement. How do i ensure couple of things,
    1) If the ftp server is down the payload is resent.
    2) The delivery is guaranteed.

    Hi Sameer,
    //1) If the ftp server is down the payload is resent.//
    For this you can use BPM and in BPM use Send Step with Acknoledgement with option.

  • IDOC to PDF and XML via EMail: using InputAttachment interface in mapping

    Hello Together,
    I am working on the following scenario:
    IDOC --> Transformation Nr. 1 IDOC-XML; Transformation Nr.2 XML- PDF --> Email with 2 Attachments XML and PDF.
    Till now Iu2019ve managed "IDOC to Email" with XML-Attachment. Therefore I used MailPackage and SwapBean. Unfortunately I didnu2019t see any possibility to send PDF attachment with MailPackage approach.
    Thatu2019s why I decided to change the scenario in this way to avoid using of MailPackage:
    u2022     first step: IDOC to FTP (2 XML files)
    u2022     second step: FTP (1. file = payload + 2. file= attachment) to Email with one XML-attachment
    It works without MailPackage, but I still need the PDF-attachment. In the moment I am trying to read the XML-attachment,  to transform XML2PDF and to add the second attachment to the message inside of mapping . I use InputAttachment and OutputAttachment interfaces.
    http://help.sap.com/javadocs/pi/SP3/xpi/com/sap/aii/mapping/api/InputAttachments.html
    Unfortunately the reading of the XML-attachment with u201CInputAttachementu201D interface inside of mapping doesnu2019t work. Tracing says: "there is no attachment".
    So my questions are:
    1. Is it possible to work with Input- and OutputAttachement interfaces inside of mapping? Or does it work only inside of adapter module?
    2. If it works inside of mapping, how can I test it in design time?
    If you see any other way to solve my problem, let me know please.
    Thank you a lot, regards Anna

    Question Nr. 1:
    "... Mapping programs are executed in the Java part of SAP NetWeaver AS. Consequently, the mapping runtime transfers the message payload from the ABAP part of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server to the Java part before the mapping program is executed. Since mapping programs do not usually access any MIME attachments in a message, the default setting is for the mapping runtime to transfer the payload only and not the attachments. This applies for both attachments that are removed as part of MTOM optimization in the Web services runtime, as well as for attachments that a sender sends together with a payload by using proxy methods in the XI runtime.
    If you want to access an attachment from a mapping program, it must have been transferred from the ABAP part to the Java part prior to execution. You can configure this in the basic settings of the operation mapping in which you reference the mapping program (select the Read Attachments checkbox)..."
