  • Idoc xml message in JMS adapter

    Hi All,
    Question 1:
My scenario is MQ series(JMS adaptr) to SAP(IDOC adptr) . In my mapping both source and target structure is same IDOC structure.Where MQ series will send IDOC xml. In such case shall i need to do content conversion at JMS adapter level or not.whthr IDOC xml can be directly handle at Mapping level without doing any content conversion in adapter level.
    Question 2(viceversa):
SAP(IDOC adptr) to MQ series(JMS adaptr) . In my mapping both source and target structure is same IDOC structure.Where MQ series expect me IDOC xml. How to handle content conversion at JMS recvr adapter level.
my assumption only in case of (xml to plain) and (plain to xml) require content conversion here my Input and output is IDOC xml.

  • Table Names of Processed  XML Messages

    Hi ALL,
We are facing space problem  in PRD box with one of our client, due to increase in large number of Messages  .
Our basis tryed to do archiving, but endup with no luck.
Could any one tell us in which tables processed idoc xml messages will get stored.
    .Any help is highly appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Vijay

    Hi,
you should not delete XI Message directely from database table. Please schedule archive or delete jobs. If you never define which interface should be archived, it could NOT be done afterwards. This is also documented clearly on the help.sap.com. What you could do is delete the old messages to free table space. You could configure now interface which should be archived, in this case the message processed in XI in future could be archvied.
XI message is actually stored in different tables,
SXMSPMAST, SXMSPMAST2      XML Message master Table,  contains runtime information on XML messages processed by XI; in this table you can find all the information that is visible in SXMB_MONI.
    SXMSCLUP     XI Message Payload Tabelle
    SXMSCLUR     XI Message Payload Tabelle
SMPPREL3     this table contains information about interfaces; here you can find information on sender (party, service, interface and namespace) and receiver (party, service, interface and namespace) as well as information on maps (their GUID and name as well as namespace).
SXMSPFRAWH     Performance Head Data, Audit Log,
    SXMSPFRAWD     Performance Data, Audit Log
There are could be more tables used to store information about XI messages, as I mentioned don't modify database table by your own risk. You will not get support by SAP, it could cause fatal error.

  • What is inbound XML message type and idoc type in Purchase Order response

    Hi ,
We are on SRM 7 ECS , support pack SAPKIBKV08.
We have a process in which vendor will send a Purchase Order response  which will be
converted to XML format by a middleware. This XML message will come to
SRM and post a POR. I want to do the EDI mapping for this XML message,
but there is no message type and idoc type in SRM for Purchase Order
response. How do I map my message type in SRM to the vendor sent fields
    in middleware .
    Please advise
    Rgds
    Sumendra

    Hi,
You can process with XML without IDoc.
    Vendor->  (XML) -> PI -> (XML) -> SRM.
Please check PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In in namespace "http://sap.com/xi/SRM/Procurement/Global".

  • XML message mapping considering idoc message variant

    Dear Experts,
I am very new to PI. I am working on a scenario where I need to map VGON_OUT xml message from SNC system to ORDRSP.ORDERS05 inbound idoc of ECC 6.0 system.
    The issue is :
In the inbound partner profile in ECC there are two ordersp message types. one with message variant SMI and another without any message variant.
Both of them are using different process codes for processing.
So my question is how to map the VGON_out xml message in PI?
Please note: the key difference is the idoc message variant.
There is no way to merge both of these message types as their function is serving two different purposes.
I have attached the xml file and the screenshot of the partner profile here.
Any suggestion or reference link or document would be deeply appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Praty

    Hi Pratyusa,
Did you try with different partner profiles for each ORDRSP?

  • XML Messages in "Scheduled" status

    Hi all,
The case is at ERP side running transaction SXMB_MONI, some XML messages from XI to ERP are found in "Scheduled" status.  Around the same time, siimilar messages using same receiver interface are processed successfully.  When we manual restart the "Scheduled" message, there will be an entry in READY status at inbound queue and we have to unlock the queue.  After that, the message will be processed successfully.
    Here are my questions:
    (1)  Why some messages in "Scheduled" status but similar messages are processed successfully?
    (2)  Is there any alert or notification mechanism that we can setup instead of running transaction SXMB_MONI manually?
    (3)  Is manual restart XML message a proper way to handle those scheduled message?  Any way to automatically handle this message in ERP side?
    Thanks in advance.

    Donald,
Here are the answers to ur questions.
    (1) Why some messages in "Scheduled" status but similar messages are processed successfully?
Some times the queues get stuck for various reasons. one msg will cause bottleneck for all other msgs behind it. there is no proper reason why this happens, however if it happens regularly then u will have to give it a thought.
    (2) Is there any alert or notification mechanism that we can setup instead of running transaction SXMB_MONI manually?
Well, if the msgs r in the scheduled state then NO.
    (3) Is manual restart XML message a proper way to handle those scheduled message? Any way to automatically handle this message in ERP side?
Manual restart is not the best way to handle msgs bcause you might loose track/ some msgs might error out together causing issues. (that has happend to us). its tough to keep track if that is the case and if its critical from business point of view.
If it is going out of R/3 then may be you can configure jobs to push the data periodically.

    Pavan

  • Outbound status to delete XML messages in PI

    Hi,
we are using a deletion process in PI wiith the pg RSXMB_DELETE_MESSAGES but the XML messages with a outbound status = 1 cannot be deleted. It seems that the pg SXMS_REFRESH_ADAPTER_STATUS permits to change the status to 6 but does not work for me.
So, I need guidance. For information, we condigured the deletion period (10 days).
    Thank you

    Hi Pascal,
You should try to manually confirm the messages (in SXMB_MONI - Cancel Processing of messages with Error CTRL F8) and then run all the deletion jobs again.
Please see Note 872388 and 820149 for details. Following is the relevant portion from 872388:
"Check if there are asynchronous messages in error status.
Asynchronous messages in error status are neither deleted nor archived.
This behaviour is different to erroneous synchronous messages which get
deleted after their retention period (see step 5) has expired).
Asynchronous erronous messages, however, must be cancelled and then be
archived. You can either use transaction SXMB_MONI, search for erronous
messages and manually cancel them. Or you can use the report provided by
SAP: RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES. Should you decide (for non-productive
systems only) that you would like to delete these manually cancelled
    messages, please use note 820149."

  • Splitting multiple IDoc XML files into single IDoc messages for R/3

Hi all. I have a problem splitting IDoc XML files coming in to XI. I currently have an interface that takes in single store sale IDoc transactions (type WPUBON01) in an IDoc XML file. I then have some complex graphical mapping on the IDoc before sending to R/3 via the IDoc adapter. This works fine. However, we now wish to include multiple sales in one file i.e. many WPUBON01 IDocs. I could use message splitting to do this BUT the mapping is so complex, I do not wish to have to change it to enable the processing of many IDocs in one file instead of just one.
What I want to do: have one mapping splitting a multiple IDoc XML file into single IDoc messages and then another taking these single messages as before and performing the mapping. I cannot find a way to do this in one interface; the main problem I'm having is getting XI to split the multiple IDocs into many single IDoc messages within XI itself. I'd be very grateful for any advice on the best way to do this.
    Thankyou.
    Stuart Richards (Halfords, UK)

    Bhavesh,
Thanks again for a clear explanation... I'm moving forwards but still struggling. I've been on this all afternoon today (after a break on other things) and just cannot get my message to split properly (though the SOAP adapter problem I had earlier is now fixed!). If my initial IDoc XML file contains this format:
    <WPUBON01><IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC></WPUBON01>
.. I'm not sure what the cardinaility on the first message mapping and interface mapping should be. I'd have thought the source interface would be 1 and the target would be 0..unbounded but this isn't working. I'm trying different things but I get different errors each time. Currently, I have the above cardinality in my first interface and I'm passing in the following data:

In the message monitor, I get a chequered flag. Great. However, I get the dreaded error 500 in the SOAP receiver comm channel:
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Exception caught by adapter framework: SOAP Error
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: SOAP Error.
Any ideas as to what this might be?! I'm getting there.... if I get a solution out of this, I promise to write the blog myself!
    Cheers

  • One IDOC to multiple XML messages

Hi! I am using the graphical mapper in XI to map the SHPMNT03 IDOC to an XML message. The IDOC has a shipment node and potentially multiple delivery nodes, for example:
    E1EDT20
      - E1EDL20
      - E1EDL20
      - E1EDL20
I need to create one XML message per E1EDL20 node. I figured I could do this in the mapper but when I execute the map for an IDOC with multiple E1EDL20 nodes, I get a 'Cannot cast 2 to boolean' error. The map executes fine when there is a single E1EDL20 in the IDOC.
As always, help is very much appreciated and points awarded.
    Thx, Duncan

    Hi Duncan,
Can you just check if this is what you have done,
    IR
    1. Message Mapping -- Occurence of the Destination message type ( file ) is unbounded
    2. Interface Mapping -- Occurence of the Destination Interface ( File ) is unbounded
    ID
    1. No sender communication channel , sender agreement
    2. Receiver communcation channel for FIle with appropriate FILE CONSTRUCTION MODE
    3. Receiver Determination  and Interface Determination with Sender Interface as the IDOC interface and Receiver Interface as the FILE INTERFACE.
I think there is some misunderstanding on this front.
Multimapping will work if you are trying to  do an IDOC to FILE with a 1:N split
just check this and let me know if you ve missed something.

    To  register queues;
TCODE SXMB_ADM -> Manage Queues -> Register the Queues.

  • Idocs are not equal to XML message generated

    hi ,
i am facing problem when i using XI.its not generated idocs equal to XML message generated.

    idocs equal to XML message
Do u mean that in ur file to idoc scenario, the no of messages sent by file is not equal to no of idocs generated? If yes, then first check in tcode sxmb_moni at XI for presence of message and check for error there
Please describe ur scenario a bit.
    Regards,
    Prateek
