IDSM, Event Viewer locality=OUT , can I change it?

Hello,
in ISDM event viewer I see both internal (private) and external (global) addresses have
"locality"=OUT.
Does anybody know if it makes sense to change it and how, I can't find where?

Alexander;
You can define Event Variables for specific IP address(es) and/or  IP address ranges and, as a result, these variable names will appear in  event Alerts as the "locality"  of applicable hosts (in place of the default "OUT").  So, for example, you may define an Event Variable, LAN for your primary  network (192.168.0.0-192.168.0.255), another Event Variable, DMZ (192.168.2.0-192.168.3.255) for a semi-protected segment located offyour  firewall, and a final Event Variable, WEB_SERVERS (1.1.1.0-1.1.1.31) for you publicly-accessible web servers.  These variable names will then be displayed in the event details.

    Hi there,
In my SharePoint 2010 farm - on the SQL Server:
The MSSQLSERVER service is running under Local System.
    1. Can I change it to run as a normal Domain User account?
    2. Does it need any extra privileges?
    3. Is it a safe thing to do?
Brief description will be very useful.
    Thanks so much.

You need to create Service account with password never expire option+ User never change password
Then you need to go through below recommendation from Microsoft

  • Cisco IDSM Event Viewer - Understanding Event ID

    Hi Everyone
Attached in this discussion is a screen shot of the Event Viewer. Just to inquire, I see a lof of these message e.g. TIPC: Lost contact with, TIPC: Lost link etc.
Is this a problem? These error messages comes with Event ID, but I'm unable to find the meaning of the Event ID. Can someone advice me please.
    Thank you
    Regards,
    Ram

TIPC messages are communications between the IPS module and the main Chassis. Looks like there are some issues in the communication which may go away after you reset the device. As for the eventID, any event or alert that is generated on the sensor will be assigned a unique ID. This is called the eventID and is used to correlate the summary alerts vs First alerts, Log events to alert events, etc.
    Hope this helps

  • Why does the backspace key now make the browser go back to the last page viewed, and how can I change that setting?

When typing in a browser page to reply to a blog, when I pressed the backspace key to correct a typo, suddenly the browser went back to the previous web page. How can this setting be changed or turned off?

This should never happen when the cursor is in an editing control, but it has always done that if the focus was on the page itself.
    Here's how to change it:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box that appears above the list, type or paste '''backs''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''browser.backspace_action''' preference and enter the desired value:
    * 0 => back (default)
    * 1 => page up
    * 2 => ignore (actually, anything other than 0 or 1 does nothing)
OK to save the change. You're done.

  • What are the views/fields that we can't change by Mass maintenance of MMR(material master record)?

    Hello friends,
I would like to know the fields/views that we can not change by using mass maintenance of MMR if there are open PO for that particular material in concern. Likewise there was a question in SAP certification exam having options: "base unit of measure", "material type" and so on....

in general you can change any field that can be changed in MM02. if the field is grayed then you cannot. e.g. if you make use a MRP profile. and in this profile the maintenance of those fields is disabled then you cannot do it MM17 either.

  • Windows Active Session logon state security event viewer

    Hi Team,
    i have question.
i already enable audit logging policy from GPO, especially logon logoff audit.
at server event viewer show (security/audit success) display log off and log on event id. 4634 for logoff and 4624 for logon
    my question are :
    1. Why event viewer always show computer name at account name information? event viewer 4624 logon
can i get the user name info from this event id 4624 logon
    2. At event id 4634 logoff, security id and account name info always show computer name account
can i get user name too?
    3.  what if the active user log on user never log off ( I mean user only disconnect from RDP session ).
can i get info from security event viewer whose user that being active remote to server?
    Thanks
    Regards :)

There should be both a computer and a user authentication since both so log onto the domain.
Even though a user may never log off of a machine they still need to establisj a session with other machines for services.  After the intial logon the Kerberos TGT session ticket may be good for the next week (7 days by default) the logs should
still show all newly established sessions.  You may need to review all DC's within the site of the user not just one DC, since any DC within the site could be providing the service.

  • Mail message viewer-can I change time zone for "time received" & "time sent" to my local time?

Does anyone know how to change the time zone MAIL uses to one's local time zone?  I'm talking about Apple's Mail Program that's "on my mac."  It shows all my "times sent" and "times received" in eastern time.  Not a big deal, but since I'm on the west coast, I'd prefer pacific time.  The menu bar at the very top of the screen shows local time, but Mail doesn't reflect that.  I have a desktop iMac, Lion 10.7.3.  Any help will be much appreciated!

I had the same situation on my current business trip.  Home = SF (Pacific time), current location = Houston (Central time, 2 hours later).  For a message I just sent (and received a copy of) at 6:34 AM local (Houston) time, Mail (v6.6, in Mountain Lion 10.8.5) was displaying Date Received as 4:34 AM.  I can tell 'ya, it's *not* 4:34 AM where I'm sitting
My practice on any trip to a different time zone is just what Carlo TD described -- use SysPrefs/DateTime to change the TZ to local geographic (and also change Calendar's TZ at upper right in its window, but that's not related to the Mail issue).  But when I did so, Mail didn't repaint its Date Received column.  On a hunch, I quit and re-started Mail.  Problem solved -- all the Date Received values changed to local (Houston) time!
Now to send Apple a Feedback that Mail doesn't repaint its displayed times when SysPrefs/DateTime changes the TZ...
[Interestingly, when I just posted this reply, the message in the thread shows something like "4:54 AM".  Perhaps Apple displays all Support threads in Cupertino (Pacific) time...]

  • How can I change the event display in an APEX 4.2 calendar?

Colleagues:  The APEX calendar feature is pretty neat, but of course there's a feature I'd like to use but can't find how/where to change it.  In other calendaring apps (e.g., Thunderbird) when an event is logged, like tomorrow's staff meeting, the time is blocked out vertically for the length of the event.  So for example: if staff is from 2pm-4pm, both 2-3 and 3-4 are colorized so a quick visual will show what times during the day are not available.
The APEX calendar will show a colored bar for the start time of the event, but not a blocked-out vertical for the entire event.  Make sense?  Any way I can change the calendar/event view to accommodate this?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Can i change colors for events in the calendar?

Can I change colors for different events in Calendars on Ipad 2?

Philly - I always respect your opinion and what you have to say but please hear me out.
    Philly_Phan wrote:
I see one iCal window and that makes me conclude that I have one calendar with multiple event types.
You understand how the app works and how to create calendars. As I pointed out - I explained to one user that you have to tap the Calendar button in the upper left corner and then select the calendars that you want to view. In fact, if you have accidentally tapped Hide All Calendars - you see no events.
I totally understand what you are saying and I rarely take an argumentative approach in this forum, but what I am trying to point out to the OP is that you cannot create different colors for "events" in one single calendar.
For instance, if you have one calendar called "Home" and that is the one calendar that you use - if Billy has a soccer game at 6:00 PM, Jessica has band practice at 7:00 PM and you have a bridge club meeting (I'm stuck for another idea at the moment ) at 7:30 PM - and you want all of these "Events" to appear in different colors within the same calendar - it cannot be done.
Sometimes I think this is what users want to do - differentiate the different "Events" within a single calendar - and that cannot be done - at least AFAIK.
I didn't mean to cause confusion nor was I trying to complicate things. I just thought that I was giving a complete answer as to how the feature works.
After all - I could have just used the "please get the iPAD user guide" line.  I just love that response.

  • How can I change a calendar event color?

    Hi,
Just spent too much time trying to figure this out, but how can I change events colors in my calendar?
I'm not talking about the color of a calendar, this affects all events, but event per event.
And I don't want to set multiple calendars.
One calendar, different events with different colors...
Please don't tell me that such a basic feature is not available when it is in bad amateur freewares...
    Thanks for any help
P.S. Please disregard answers like "why don't you want multiple calendars", etc...

Anyone with a solution for that basic feature?
