IDT - multisource issue

Hi Guys,
While creating a single source data foundation layer in IDT it works fine but when i use the same connection in a multisource data foundation layer it gives me an error message.
Screenshots of error messages have been attached.
I am on SAP BI 4.1 SP2.
The connections have been published to the repository.
What am i missing here?
Thanks,
Nagendra

Hi,
We are using the Generic ODBC Datasource for Oracle.
The error message has now changed to : Qualifiers are not available.
It's strange because the same connection with the same DSN works fine on creating a single source data foundation layer.
Please provide your inputs.
Regards,
Nagendra

  • MacBook Pro sleep problems with Vista SP1

Has anyone faced sleep problems on a MacBook Pro after installing Vista SP1?
I run Boot Camp 2.0 with the latest update from Apple.
IDT finally issued a compatible Vista driver for my Sigmatel audio.
I was very happy for the first time running Vista on my Apple when I had the stupid idea to upgrade to SP1.
After days of troubleshooting with Windows support it is obvious that SP1 and my MacBook Pro are incompatible for some obscure reasons. The latest time I tried SP1 was through Windows Update, which means that Windows detected no compatibility issues, such as drivers.
I suspect Apple-in-sight driver without any evidence, just a hint.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Hibernation seems iffy. Have you tried disabling hibernation? and when you say sleep, what happens? won't wake or what?
Normally I don't recommend resetting NVRAM or SMU but for sleep you might want to.
And yes, trying to rule out why can be difficult. But I would not blame SP1. Maybe BC 2.1.
Do you have a book dealing with Vista? or looked for articles or forums that deal with Vista? There is one for Vista64 - assume you have 32-bit though. Google is often best way to find things in Apple discussions or knowledge base, too.

  • Dell Dimension E510

I would appreciate assistance to determine how to resolve a problem with PC reboots.   I have not been able to determine the exact frequency of the reboot, however, I am aware that the PC stays up at least 15 minutes sometimes hours and then reboots.
The PC reboots and after login I see the message:
IDT Audio system tray application has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.  If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
Please provide any recommendations.    The system is configured with Windows XP Professional and has 512M memory.
    Regards,

    I have an E510.
The IDT tray issue probably has nothing to do with your reboot problem.  If it's rebooting by itself there are several possibilities. One is the power supply, there have been an abnormal amount of E510/5150 power supplies failing (several hundered reported on this forum alone).  Normally when it fails the indication is a flashing amber power light but since it's rebooting itself a power supply issue could cause this.  There can be many other reasons, hardware - e.g. CPU overheating if it's not getting adequate cool air flow - a computer desk compartment is a worst case for air flow (have you ever cleaned out the dust from inside the PC and the CPU cooling assembly?) or could be a Windows issue.  You'll have to eliminate potential problem areas such as the cooling issues first and then go on to other, and it may be a "shotgun" approach where you start replacing parts (and if it gets to that I would start with the power supply which is a standard ATX style - not a Dell custom).
On the "IDT" issue.  You shoud NOT be using IDT drivers or software for the SigmaTel Integrated Audio.  Although IDT is the new name for SigmaTel (IDT bought SigmaTel about a year ago) we have seen a lot of problems with IDT labeled drivers, and in one case Microsoft "pushed" out an IDT Codec update last spring and all the SigmaTel audio's failed in one way or another and the ONLY way to fix it was to either do a System Restore back to a date prior to installing the IDT Codec or a complete reinstall.  The ONLY drivers you should use are the SigmaTel drivers from either the Dell Resource CD that came with the PC or from the Dell downloads for the E510/5150 (the 5150 is the European version of the E510).
I replaced the stock Dell power supply in my E510, before it failed, as I did some hardware upgrades and added additional hardware including an upgraded Video card and needed more power.  I have a 550 watt Antec Tru Power Trio in my E510.

  • Sound Playback Issue with IDT High Definition Audio Codec HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

Since i bought this laptop, every time i use skype or the Windows Sound Recorder, i hear static that drastically increases in volume. Uninstalling the IDT High Definition Audio Codec prompts my computer to automatically install the driver again, this usually fixes the problem, but after restarting my laptop, the problem returns.
Does anyone know a permanent fix to this issue?

  • IDT high definition audio CODEC issue

Hi! Today i woke up, turned my laptop on and suddenly my beats audio is not working. When I click on the volume button in the bottom right hand corner, it says "there is a problem with IDT high definition audio CODEC. Reinstalling the driver might fix this problem." So I checked 'apply this fix' and a new message popped up saying, "Troubleshooting was unable to automatically fix all issues found."
I have used macbooks most of my life so i am very clueless on what to do with this issue!! I have windows 8.1 and a touchsmart PC laptop, which came with the beats audio..does anyone know how i can possibly fix this??!

  • IDT HD Codec Audio Glitching issue

I have just bought a DV7 4045ea and have had numerous issues with the sound, generally causing skipping and stuttering in skype/ventrillo and gaming (in particular Starcraft 2). With these applications when the skipping and stuttering happens it causes a massive load on the processors at the same time. In skype/vent this is akin to an audio CD skipping. In games (sc2 is my main game) this results in a game stuttering when an audio effect is played, if i disable music and background effect the issue is less frequent. If I play the music the game stutters all the time.
In fact Norton has reported several times that whatever is using the sound device is causing excessive load on the processors and also that audiodg (google it, many probs with it back in vista) was once a cause of load.
Now interestingly, if I play SC2 tab out so it is still playing on screen (i.e the lappy is still playing the graphics and game engine) but the audio is not, the processors load goes right down.
I have done the regular suggested tasks of:
Updating All drivers through HP assistant
Manual update of windows and drivers to the BIOS, sound device and garphics card.
Disabled the sound enhancements on playback devices (this was a common fix during Vista)
Rolling back audio drivers (my system currently has all the latest ones though)
The resent driver updates now seemed to have made the issue worse! Even though I use SC2 as an example, please note this does happen with other application its just SC2 is the easest for me to replicate the issue on.
After a bit of research seems like many people with the IDT high definition audio device have similar issues. One common fix is to allow windows to use its generic drivers. However if I delete the driver, windows just reload the IDT codec, if I stop that my audio devices just aren't recognised. Whether this might be the fix for me or not is another issue i guess.
Please, if anyone can help can they advise me because its driving me round the twist! I feel aggrieved that a £1000 laptop is performing worse than my old £300 one (which plays SC2 and vent/skype with problems what so ever) .
Whoever can get me a fix wins a free Mars bar!

    Hi,
This should allow you to use Windows generic HD Audio driver.
First uninstall IDT HD AUDIO CODEC from Device Manager ( right click it and select uninstall ).  When complete, browse to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and delete stwrt.sys ( if more than one delete all starting stwrt ).  Again, browse to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository and delete the two folders stwrt.inf ( if more than two delete all starting stwrt ).  Go offline and Reboot the PC and hopefully Window will re-install the sound card with it's own generic driver.  You will however need to stop Windows Update or HP update from trying to update the driver.  Hopefully, in the meantime a less problematic IDT driver will become available.
Let me know how you get on.
    Best wishes,
    DP-K

  • Audio Issues When IDT Audio is Installed. Alternative?

I have an HP Elitebook 8440w Mobile Workstation running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and I've been having issues with the sound. Since it came with the IDT Audio program installed to begin with and is the program for the audio drivers, I never realized that it was (seemingly) causing the problem. I'm still not completely sure that that program is the real problem.
I went for a long time without speakers because that was the only problem I was having with the laptop and I couldn't go without the computer for the week it would have required to get it worked on through the IT department of my university. Finally, since it's summer and I have finished my degree, I took it in to see if they could figure out what was wrong. I had done everything I could think of, reinstalling drivers, etc. Nothing helped.
They didn't figure anything out at all. Instead they told me my Operating System was corrupted or some such BS and reinstalled Windows 7 Professional without even telling me first. This wiped all of my programs and caused several new problems. On top of this, they didn't reinstall any of the standard HP programs, diagnostic or otherwise. It's a really good thing I am not a complete computer novice or I would have been so lost. I have now spent several hours correcting my lack of software and am almost back to where I started.
This reinstallation of programs is what caused me to realize that it was this program causing the issues, or at least causing them to show up. I uninstalled it and now I can't use headphones, but at least the speakers are working. When the program was installed, it showed that the headphone jack was in use even when it wasn't, so I suspect that the real problem is that a switch in the port is messed up. However, I can't get it fixed anytime soon and I definitely won't be taking it back to the IT department. Some other idiot might also throw (my newly reinstalled) baby out with the bathwater.
Anyways, I was hoping someone might be able to recommend a different program/audio driver that I can manually switch from speakers to headphones with. Also, if you have any more insight into this problem, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much!

  • Issue implementing Business security profile in IDT

    Hi,
    BO 4.1 SP3
I created a WebI Report with ADMIN privileges with 3 objects and published to Public Folder.
Then I created a Business security profile in IDT and Denied USER1 access to ‘Display Data’ on one of the above 3 objects say Object3 (i.e. Granted ‘Create Query’ and Denied ‘Display Data’ access on that object3).
Now when USER1 logs to WebI -> Public Folders and refresh the report, it says 'No privlilege..contact admin' message.
Is it possible to display Certain Users to have all 3 columns and hide Object3 to USER1 in the same WebI report ?
Appreciate if anyone can give some directions ?
    Thanks.

I think you missed one more thing,
IDT -> Business Layer -> Parameters -> AUTO_UPDATE_QUERY to YES
    Ref: xi4sp6_info_design_tool_en.pd Page: 225
A user who is denied an object by a Display Data setting might refresh a report containing the denied object. You can specify what the refresh should do in this case by setting the SQL generation parameter AUTO_UPDATE_QUERY in the business layer.
If this parameter is set to No, then refreshing the report generates an error message.
If this parameter is set to Yes, then the denied objects are removed from the query and from any filters defined in the business layer. Data for other granted objects is retrieved and displayed to the user in a partial report.

  • Microphones Issue - Presario CQ61-315EX - IDT sound car [WIN7]

    Hi!
    I'm Marko.
I've used Search in order to solve my problem, but since I found no answer, I'm posting this in hope that you could help me.
I've also tried tips from different forum (especially from good people at Microsoft Answers) but I had no success with that.
Just as I wrote in Subject line, I have HP Compaq Presario CQ61-315EX, with IDT sound card. I'm using Windows 7 and I have tried last 3 IDT drivers. I've been using microphones for 4-5 months and I had no problem before. Now, none of my two external mics don't work on this PC (I have tested them on other computer and they both work), although, they are recognized in Windows [Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Recording]. Also, my internal microphone doesn't work (it's recognized by windows). By 'don't work' I mean that there is no input sound in Sound Recorder, Skype, AP Tuner (a guitar tuner simulator) and in similar programs. All three mics used to work in mentioned programs not so long ago.
I have tried different combinations of settings, but none of them gave satisfying result.
Windows Audio Recording Troubleshooters haven't solved it neither.
Here you are my DxDiag log (just System Info, Sound Devices and Sound Capture Devices), hope it helps.

  • Refresh Structure in IDT

    Hi Gurus,
    I am new to IDT.
Whenever I make changes to the data source (SAP BW Infocube), and within my Data Foundation in IDT, I use the "Refresh Structure" feature, the changes are seen & completed. But however these changes are not updated in my business layer. So that i am unable to view newly created objects in webi reports and dashboards.
    Q) Does "Refresh Structure" option will not update automatically in business layer?
If not how to update?. How to "Remap Data foundation layer". Please let me know step by step procedure if possible.
    Regards,

    Hi...
To build a universe on SAP  BW, you must create a multisource-enabled data foundation based on a secured relational connection to SAP BW.
And to fix the issue, Please check the below note:

  • HP Envy 4-1215dx Sound Issues

Hi, I own an HP Envy 4-1215dx. It's a great unit overall, but I am having problems with the audio on it. From the day I took it out of the box it will randomly spew out quick bursts of buzzing/crackling/digital noise whenever I try and play some sort of media, it will appear to have stopped for a while but then start doing it again, it is quite intermitten. It does it with sound from the internet such as youtube, playing MP3's, and even in Games. It is extremely irritating and I need to find a solution. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers and have had no luck. Doing a quick google search, I found out that there are several other people with the same problem, yet the only answer they get back is to reinstall the drivers. I have done this already and it does not fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hello Livingedge,
I understand that the driver is an older version. This is the version that is available for your specific product on the HP Driver & Software page. I have been able to locate a driver that is also IDT, but the release date is 2013-09-30. I have included that driver here for you 'IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver'.
If this driver fails to resolve the sound issue, I would keep an eye on the 'HP Driver & Software' page. This is where if and any updates are available, will be provided here.
    Thank you.

  • IDT Audio Nuances

    Hi,
I'm currently using a HP Spectre XT 2001tu. Everything was working fine until I had to reinstall the Windows 7 OS due to memory dump issues. And I deleted the recovery partition because of my sheer ignorance. After the installation, everything is working fine, except for the audio.
I have downloaded the latest drivers available for my ultrabook, but the audio drivers just won't get the sound on.
Here's what all I have done -- I restarted my laptop after every step:
    1) Roll back BIOS to default, but nothing happened. Then I updated to the latest BIOS, nothing happened.
    2) Reinstalled the IDT drivers over 20 times, nothing happened. Downloaded Win7 and Win8 drivers just to be sure. But none of the drivers are working. Yes, I searched for my laptop specefic drivers on the HP database.
    3) Went to device manager. There's a yellow notification besides the "High Definition Audio Device". Uninstalled the driver and scanned for hardware changes. Windows began installing its own drivers, but Windows couldn't complete the installation
    4) Opened the sound controller from the device manager, it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
    5) Used HP Support Assistant to search for driver updates. It updated my system, but audio still not working.
    5) Reinstalled Windows 7 from a different disk. Everything except for Audio worked.
    6) I constantly receive "No audio device is installed" on my taskbar, and there aren't any hidden playback or recording devices. Window troubleshooter couldn't solve the problem either.
    -----> Then I found a WIERD THING.
I went intomy laptop specefic drivers which I downloaded from the HP servers.
    Their supported devices are:
    FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76E5
    FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76E0
Then I went to my device manager, and opened my audio device hardware ID
    . It was as follows:
    FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2806&SUBSYS_80860101
The drivers that HP is providing for Spectre XT are not supported by Spectre XT.
I'd like to know what's going on?

    Hi Piyush90,
Uninstall the package that contains the driver that enables the IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio in your HP ENVY Spectre XT Ultrabook 13-2001tu. Install it from the site you gave me the link to.
