IDVD 5 won't burn any of my projects that are over an hour

I'm okay if I can background encode a project--it seems to burn fine.
Since I can't background encode a project that's over an hour, these will not burn properly...
any ideas?

One more thing.
iDVD and iMovie work is very dependant on that there is lot's of free space
on Your internal hard disk.
less than 10Gb - You get most probably problems or no DVD burning at all.
I use to recommend 25Gb free - this is more than needed but it will work
so much better/faster.
Why ?
iDVD needs space to calculate and store the DVD in construction
Mac OS is in reallity UNIX and UNIX uses lots of temp-files AND virtual
memory managments = Lot's of time consumed to handle this and the
result is extreme DVD burnings times - if it results in anything at all
(often happening and confusing)

No, you do not flip over the disk. The dual-layers are both on the same side of the disk. You can't see them, they are just there, and iDVD will do what is necessary if it needs to burn both layers.
You would only flip over a disk if it were a "double-sided" disk. That's an entirely different kind of disk and it has only one layer on each side. Those are much older kinds of disks that were used commercially before the advent of dual-layer disks. I don't know anyone who uses them any more.

My iPod won't sync any songs or videos that are in the iTunes Library.

I have an iPod classic [80 GB] and it does not, recently since I updated the iTunes to the newest version, for whatever reason iTunes will not be able to sync music or any of the music videos I have giving me a error message [Like rite now it told me: Attempting to copy the disk "RADKE777" -which is the name of my device- Failed. An error has occured (-69)] then iTunes will freeze completely and I cannot do anything with it.
What does that mean? It was just working recently.. the only thing that I have done differently, like I said, was update iTunes.. I'm not really sure as to what to do. If ANYONE can help me I'd appreciate it! >.<

It could be an indication or a damaged or dying hard drive. I would recommend doing a disk diagnostic on the iPod's HD using the instructions given by turingtest2 in this older thread. He also covers what the resulting numbers indicate.

Did You See If this Happens In Safe Mode?
On Startup After the Chime Hold Down Shift Then Release It When you see the Apple and the Progress Indicator(Spinning gear). This Boot Will take a Little Longer Than Normal.
If it Did Not Work Than There Might Be Something Wrong With The Disc Drive.

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. No. Are you saving the project as a disk image rather than burning directly to disk from iDVD? If not then that's what I suggest you do. That will separate the encoding process from the burn process to save time and disks if the encoding is bad. It also lets you burn a second or third disk without having to encode again.

There's a link there for converting data from Peachtree to Quickbooks, which requires you to contact them; clicking on that Contact Us link for that FAQ item takes you to another page where you select which product you have, so they can address your needs.

ITunes 7.1 Won't Burn Any CD's

I can't burn any CD's audio or mp3's everytime I do it asks "Please Insert A Blank Disc" it then checks then does nothing.
Looks like iTunes stuffed up big time it's bloody useless to me the way it's running I can't even add new music either as in they don't show up in the list's

i forgot to mention that this does not happen with albums PURCHASED from the itunes store, but it does happen with any other album (including those available in the itunes store).

I mentioned earlier in the 'won't burn dvd' topic that my Superdrive wouldn't burn DVD-Rs, saying there was a fault in the burning and the multiplexing.
Now it's spitting out my DVD+Rs as well. As a film student at a college that likes DVD submissions, this is terribly inconvenient. The computer gets as far as encoding everything, then spits out the disc as the burning begins.
I have tried completely re-loading my system, but still have a problem. Is anyone else having this problem and can they help me. Time is of the essence!

Ok. As an addendum, I reset the PRAM and PMU. I also repaired disk permissions. I can burn DVD+R again at 2.4x speed. When burning, DVD-R, however, it spits out the disk and states (when I try to burn on its stated maximum speed of 2x): 'Unable to burn to "disk3" - The device failed to calibrate the laser power for this media..'
I'm not sure what that implies beyond the obvious: is there some sort of power control issue I need to deal with on the system?

IMovie won't open any of my projects

iMovie 11 was refusing to open its Titles section for my projects, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Now it cannot find any of my projects, although they are located in the correct folder.

My itunes won't recognise any of the music that is already stored on my computer or let me sync anything to my new ipod nano!! any ideas??

I recently bought a new ipod nano and when i got it home and connected it to my computer I was told my version of i-tunes was not compatable and I had to un-install it and then download it again. After I did this 4 times i eventually managed to get itunes to open on my computer and recognise my new ipod. However after all that hassle my version of itunes now wont recognise any of the music that has already been downloaded onto my computers music files. I have tried copying the music across and also using the add music to the itunes library command and nothing seems to work! I really like the ipod but if i had known that itunes was this difficult to work i would have picked a different type of music player! since i have bought the ipod ive heard nothing but bad things about how difficult and complicated itunes is to work so if anyone has any ideas for how i can fix this problem thatd be great! Any free game apps that are actually good?

I got my ipod touch a few days ago and before that I found a list of the "148 best free apps'. I downloaded the ones that looked good but most sucked, so are there any that are actually good and free? Rock band free version was at the top of that list and it sucked because there is only one song to play.

i spend alot of time playing lightbike, it's kinda like the old game tron, and a good tower defense game i found was TM zero, also, assassin's creed has a free game out, worlds hardest game light is pretty cool, and COD Zombies is supposed to be good, i got it and i'm having a little trouble with the controls, but it's pretty cool, jelly car is nice to, red ball also. i still haven't found to many good ones, but i got most of those recently, i only got my touch 2 days ago, so yeh.

IDVD 5 won't burn

I have iDVD 5 (current with updates) on my iBook G4 and use a LaCie external CD/DVD burner. I followed Ken's steps in creating a slideshow, but when I get to the "burn" step, it won't do anything. The burn icon shows up, then closes and the program stands idle. I saved the project to my hard drive and tried to burn it using Toast on the video mode; however, I get an error message saying that the .imp files are not supported. I'm at my whits end with this whole thing. Can someone offer some insight?

So you have saved as an image file-right?
Does this virtual disk play in the DVD Player?
Launch DVD Player. File/Open VIDEO_TS (Open DVD Media... in Player 4.6). Find the VIDEO_TS folder and open that. (The audio folder is for DVD-Audio disks.)
