IDVD has only 3 themes after update

I recently updated iDVD to iDVD 6 and I went to open a project that i have been working on and it says the theme cant be found and all the links to video files are broken.
I looked in the iDVD file and i cant find any of the themes that I previously had (the default ones). Can somone please help me.

Dont worry, I managed to get it working. I just uninstalled iDVD and reinstalled it using my iLife 06 cd. It turns out that iLife that was installed when i bought my mac was old. Thats why it had to update.
Anyway, its working now. Sorry for any inconvenience.
PS. I reccomend checking your software versions when you buy a mac. Just incase what is installed is really old.

System has slowed down considerably after updates from Apple. Is SyncServer the culprit?

I use MacBook with preinstalled OS Leopard since April 2009. I have also regulalry updated my computer system using the Software Update application. However, since my last update on 12th Aug 2011, I have noticed that my system has slowed down. There is long pause between every character I type, delay in switching applications, battery dries out quicker, slow response to every command.
I have started facing this problem after updating following software like iTunes 10.4, Safari 5.0.6, Migration Assistant Update for MAC OS Leopard & Quick Time 7.7 from Software Updater. Although, my OS is still leopard.
I noticed on the Activity Monitor that syncserver is using majority of my RAM and reappers even if I stop the process. Some of its subprocess like AddressBookSync also appears and consumes lot of memory. Is this the problem? Though, I never noticed earlier what size it consumed.
I use Microsoft Office suite for Mac and have also checked and deselected all sync services. Yet, the Process (PID 305) continues to appear in Activity Monitor.
I am no techie, and would appreciate quick help to resolve this issue.

I was just about to write the same problem, but I don't have VMware; my laptop is late 2008 was running Snow Leopard (uptodate version).
I've scientific softwares so probably would require a clean re-installation of ML. I MUST MENTION HERE that those software which were written for PPC will NOT work on ML. Just found out that one of my important softwares version won't work on ML; need $500 to upgrade that software .
Therefore, I'd also want to know how can I go back to SL.
I'll let you know how clean re-installation has worked.

Why has my computer slowed after updating with mavericks

i updated to mavericks .since i did this my computer has slowed and i am also getting problems with streaming can i revert back to mountain lion.

how much RAM do you have?
how full is your hard drive?
what apps are you trying to run when things are slow?
do you have any crapware installed, like
antivirus software
defragmenters
"cleaners"
"optimizers"
how long has it been since you updated? Spotlight may be updating, that can take a while, and things may be slow while it does.
Boot into your recovery partition (hold down ⌘R at restart until you see the Apple symbol), go to Disk Utility, and repair your hard drive. While you're there, repair permissions too. OSX Tips Using the Recovery HD
Try a safe boot (hold down shift and restart) : Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? . If this works, it means that the problem is with some third-party software you have installed.
Try a test user account: Isolating an issue by using another user account .
That is: if you want, we could try to fix what is wrong. Otherwise, you could certainly go back to ML if you want. Apps closing while trying to open them after update to iOS 6

My phone apps have been starting to open when I select them but immediately close no errors they just close. Safari did this while looking up websites and several other apps started doing it today. Sometimes after several attempts of opening one of the apps it will stay open and seem to be ok. If you double tap the home button and close the app it then will have an issue opening again for several attempts. I have had no problems with this phone and was so happy to have dumped droid but now after the update this issue is getting annoying. I have shut down and rebooted phone I removed and reloaded one app and it seems better but still acting strange. I am thinking about going back to iOS 5.

Actually DIESEL they do force you to update. my wife has not update hers yet to ios6 and none of the apps work at full tilt anymore because they are all updated for ios 6....Apple is now making you either update(and ruin your iphone 4s) or buy the new iphone 5(which i doubt will have any of the problems people with iphone 4s are having).
Since updating my 4s i have lost signal, data has been very low at best. i can not access any apps or they open up and do not refresh. I use to have 4bars at my work and now i have 1.

Recieving e-mail issue - only get them after I perform a browser action

I am baffled. For some reason, i can only receive e-mails after i go to Facebook for blackberry and search for status updates. I assume when i do that, it polls for the e-mails. Any idea how to fix this?

"iTunes has encountered a problem" after updating Podcasts

I've been running iTunes happily since December 2009 on my Windows XP machine. I've allowed each update to be applied and have never had a problem with it.
Suddenly today, I started getting an "iTunes has encountered a problem an needs to close" error about 30 seconds or so after iTunes loads. This happened repeatedly.
One of the suggestions on forums was to re-install QuickTime - I did this and it made no difference. I then fought with uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and all other Apple apps for several hours. I worked through the "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" problem, I managed to locate and use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (even though Microsoft have removed it), I re-installed the software and even managed to fix the "Apple Application Support Was Not Found" problem once iTunes was installed.
I finally managed to get iTunes up and running again and to my amazement it even recognised by iTunes library...and then got the "iTunes has encountered a problem" error that I started with ?
I've now watched iTunes more carefully to see exactly what's happening. What I can see is that it is trying to update my podcasts. It is simulatenously downloading three as usual and all goes fine until it's downloaded and processed one. After it's finishing processing the first one, the downloads stop and the original error is given. If I re-start it, the same thing happens (albeit with a different podcast).
I'm completely stuck now. Where do I go from here to sort this one out ? All help very gratefully received.

Apple Application Support program file ... unlikely to be damaged, because after the uninstall/reinstall torment you went through, that's a brand new copy of the file you've got in there.
Can you check something further for me please? (This isn't going to be a cure in itself, but fingers crossed it'll rule out some possibilities and narrow in on some other possible causes.)
Create a new Windows user account on the PC with full administrative rights. Log out of your usual account and log into the new one. (Don't use fast user switching to move between accounts.)
Open iTunes in the new account. The setup assistant will run. Don't add any files when prompted, just let it eventually open to an empty library.
Now try downloading one of the podcasts that caused the crash into the new account's library. Do we get another "iTunes has encountered a problem" in there too? Or does it download without issue in there?

Internet only on wifi after update to 4.0

I updated my wifes iPhone 3GS to 4.0 and had a couple problems.
1) Could only get internet on WiFi. Tried restoring over and over,and did resets.
Nothing worked. Only could get it to working if I set it up as a new iPhone.
Then when I synced it to restore the settings the problem would come back.
2) Related to this if it was in the state of a new phone where internet worked,
in the network settings the information about tethering would be there, but after I synced it which causes the internet not to work the tethering information wouldn't be there.
According to a Apple support Rep I spoke to about this the only sollution is to
first make sure you sync it to your contacts so you don't loose those then set it up again as a new phone. She said all your apps will be available for free once you sign back in to the app store. My wife will still have to manually redo her music play list. Which I know she'll be mad about.
Hope this helps anyone suffering from the same problem.
I'm waiting till the next update before I do my update. Hopefully it'll work like it should then.

Same problem in Germany with Telekom. I've tried everything, but the picture button won't appear with iOS 4. The internet connections via Edge/G3 doesn't work either. Did a complete restore yesterday, did the requested update for carrier settings... now i've issues connecting to Wi-Fi too and still no MMS service.

Firefox has only one theme/persona enabled which is actually removed. It does not accept any other theme/persona

Much time ago, when I was using firefox 3.5/4 (I do not remember exactly), I installed a Theme/Persona of Green Flower (I do not remember the exact name). I liked that theme so I kept it for a long time. But after some days when I wanted to change it, it did not change. The problem is still continuing. I am currently using Firefox 9.0. I have no such Add-on or Extension installed which could prevent Firefox from changing the Theme/Persona.
I have described below what happens exactly:

.Finally I Enable one for use
.It gets enabled and the Persona is activated
.It is enabled till current session is on
.But on the next startup of Firefox, its gone!
.It doesnt show up!

Try resetting the phone with the home and power buttons held in until the Apple logo appears, then turn location services on (or off and back on if it is already on).

.avi files only play sound after update

I have a few .avi videos that used to play both audio and video before the 7.13 update yesterday, and now these .avi files only play audio, and the video is non-existant.
I re-installed my DivX codecs, and I'm not sure what to do next.

I updated to latest version of Firefox when I came in from work tonight. Now, I can't turn my bookmark icons to icon only. Text only works fine. Text and icon works find. But icon only won't happen for me. Any ideas.
