IDVD OneStep - Change Titles?

I just made a whole bunch of coasters. No way I can send these DVD's out with that default title. Who at Apple thought that was a good idea? I knew I should have used Toast. Is there some unknown hidden obscure way to, you know, have a normal title on the OneStep DVD's?

That's a problem with the onestep process.  If you use the standard process you can change titles as needed and avoid burning coasters (for any reason) and assuring the best possible final product by following this workflow:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • Change? in iDVD OneStep from iLife '09 to iLife '11

    I used iDVD OneStep with my Panasonic Digital Movie Camera to quickly back-up to DVD's. I recently upgraded to iLife '11. While iDVD recognizes the camera as attached, it does not recognize the content on the camera to download and create a DVD. Did something change in the most recent version to iLife '11 in regards to iDVD OneStep? Any suggestions to get around this?

    Hi GenoMacProUser
    Welcome. I see no one has yet addressed your question / concern here. So I'll give it a shot. Keeping in mind I don't yet have iLife'11 since I'm still working with iLife'09 on a Dual G5 2.0 PPC. So I'm not speaking from direct experience here but rather from the replies and threads I've seen posted on this forum. It would appear or rather it has been suggested by at least one member on this forum, that there has been one significant change based on these comments. That is, when referring solely to iDvd's One Step. In the past iDvd's One Step was the only option for making a Dvd with No Menu whatsoever. I'm not 100% certain you can do this any more within iLife'11. Or at least I've read where the app now generates a "hidden" menu even in one step. I can't verify this myself. I'll have to wait and see from feedback from others who actually use the latest version /iLife'11 as opposed to earlier versions.
    If the above is correct (big if) then I could see where this might also have an effect on device (camera/s) recognition and on the content recognition of said cameras. Some newer models of camcorders and cameras will be added while other older models may eventually be dropped. Seems logical anyway. Again, this is just a guess on my part.

  • How to change title of Employee Master Data form (in add-on creation) in SAP B1 9.1?.

    Hi all,
    I have a problem of how to change title of my add-on in SAP B1 9.1.
    I created the add-on of Employee Master Data but I want to change its title, is it possible?
    When I change the title as (Member Master Data) in property, it will display Employee Master Data again.
    If it is possible to change it, how can I do?
    Please anyone can help me.

    Hi,
    Try this:
    If pVal.FormType = 60100 AndAlso pVal.EventType = BoEventTypes.et_FORM_LOAD AndAlso pVal.BeforeAction = False Then
      Dim oForm As SAPbouiCOM.Form = DirectCast(oApplication.Forms.GetForm(pVal.FormType.ToString(), pVal.FormTypeCount), SAPbouiCOM.Form)
      oForm.Title = "New Title"
    End If
    Or you can try:
    If pVal.FormType = 60100 And pVal.EventType = BoEventTypes.et_FORM_LOAD And pVal.BeforeAction = False Then
         Dim oForm As SAPbouiCOM.Form = CType(oApplication.Forms.GetForm(pVal.FormType.ToString(),pVal.FormTypeCount), SAPbouiCOM.Form)
    oForm.Title = "New Title"
    End If
    Hope it helps.

    hi,
    When you fill in the field catalog you can set the property seltext_l for the field and can give in any name. See the sample below.
    LS_FIELDCAT-COL_POS       = POS.
      LS_FIELDCAT-FIELDNAME     = 'NAME1'.
      LS_FIELDCAT-REF_FIELDNAME = 'NAME1'.
      LS_FIELDCAT-REF_TABNAME   = 'KNA1'.
      append LS_FIELDCAT to PT_FIELDCAT.
      clear LS_FIELDCAT.
      POS = POS + 1.
      LS_FIELDCAT-COL_POS       = POS.
      LS_FIELDCAT-FIELDNAME     = 'KUNNR'.
      LS_FIELDCAT-seltext_l  = 'Ship to Party'.
      append LS_FIELDCAT to PT_FIELDCAT.
      clear LS_FIELDCAT.
      POS = POS + 1.

  • Slideshow from Iphoto? Can I burn a slideshow from Iphoto to dvd? When I export to Idvd it changes all my settings and transitions.

    Trying to burn a slideshow to dvd.I can get it just the way I want in Iphoto,but when I send it to Idvd,it changes akk the transition settings.Help?

    Try exporting the slideshow as a QT movie file.  It should keep all of your transitions, etc. and then you can drag the QT file into the iDVD menu being careful to avoid any drop zones.

  • Change title according status of block

    I would like to keep user informed what's going on, and like to change title of window according to status of window, something like in pcode under:
    If status = new or then title = "New"
    elsIf Status = query then title = "Query"
    else
    title = "Id From record"
    end if;
    What triggers I have to write to get those actions done... Currently I have when-new-record-instance and key-entqry but latter doesn't seem to work well (It doesn't change title)...

    There should be no particular triggers that you have to use. SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY is not a restricted built-in.
    The logical place to put this code would be in the Key triggers for Enter Query execute Query and Exit as these are the paces the status would change.

  • IMovie Import for iDVD onestep

    I am in the process of converting my DV tapes to DVD's using iDVD onestep. Is there any way to import to iMovieHD from the iDVD onestep disc? So that the archived onestep iDVD discs can be used later for making iMoives.
    iMac Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi Guys:
    Once a movie has been burned to DVD it is not DV anymore and so imovie can't read it unless it is converted back (which really degrades the quality).
    I'd keep the DV tapes as my backup..not DVD.
    If you'd like to try the DVD, then you'll need to read:
    Using Mpeg (DVD) footage

    And get one or two of these helpful tools:
    MPEG StreamClip:

  • IDVD OneStep not consistently burning the full file

    We are using a process at work where the user uses an external drive to capture a meeting with a camcorder (straight to the drive)that varies from 30 minutes to 2 hours in length. The files are quicktime files and using the OneStep process it is pretty simple for our users to create the DVD with minimal intervention. The problem is that recently (or they never noticed it before), the DVD created is only 30 or so minutes long when the source QT file was 60 minutes long. There is plenty of disk space on the both the external drive and the laptop. I've tried different brands of media, blown away the plist, etc. And sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. iDVD is at the latest rev (7.0.4 I believe) and I'm running out of ideas to try short of going back to an earlier version of iDVD. Has anyone seen this kind of problem or have any suggestions? Thanks.

    It sounds like you are not using the correct encloding setting for the ;length of movie:
    iDVD encoding settings:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/11417.html
    Short version:
    Best Performance is for videos of up to 60 minutes
    Best Quality is for videos of up to 120 minutes
    Professional Quality is also for up to 120 minutes but even higher quality (and takes much longer)
    Professional Quality: The Professional Quality option uses advanced technology to encode your video, resulting in the best quality of video possible on your burned DVD. You can select this option regardless of your project’s duration (up to 2 hours of video for a single-layer disc and 4 hours for a double-layer disc). Because Professional Quality encoding is time-consuming (requiring about twice as much time to encode a project as the High Quality option, for example) choose it only if you are not concerned abo
    In both cases the maximum length includes titles, transitions and effects etc. Allow about 15 minutes for these.
    You can use the amount of video in your project as a rough determination of which method to choose. If your project has an hour or less of video (for a single-layer disc), choose Best Performance. If it has between 1 and 2 hours of video (for a single-layer disc), choose High Quality. If you want the best possible encoding quality for projects that are up to 2 hours (for a single-layer disc), choose Professional Quality. This option takes about twice as long as the High Quality option, so select it only if time is not an issue for you.
    Use the Capacity meter in the Project Info window (choose Project > Project Info) to determine how many minutes of video your project contains.
    NOTE: With the Best Performance setting, you can turn background encoding off by choosing Advanced > “Encode in Background.” The checkmark is removed to show it’s no longer selected. Turning off background encoding can help performance if your system seems sluggish.
    And whilst checking these settings in iDVD Preferences, make sure that the settings for NTSC/PAL and DV/DV Widescreen are also what you want.

  • Changing title in "project info" keeps titling DVD "My-Great-DVD"

    There was an unanswered topic by this name which has been archived so I couldn't respond to it.
    When changing the name of your DVD in the iDVD "project info" window, be sure to have NO SPACES or odd characters in the name. Letters, numbers, and underscores are OK. If you have spaces, iDVD should automatically replace them with underscores. However, if you already had a name, or once had the default name of "MyGreatDVD", and then change it to "The Name I Want", iDVD reverts to "MyGreatDVD" when burning the DVD, because it has underscores, which it likes, and "The Name I Want" does not have underscores, which iDVD doesn't like. If you replace "MyGreatDVD" with "TheName_IWant" (with underscores) your new name should stick.
    How many blank discs have you burned through trying to troubleshoot this?

    I have to say I have never had a problem with my own titles reverting to 'My Great DVD' when burned, but then, I haven't changed the title in Project Info either. However, the title in the Project Info is NOT the title I use when burning my movies to iDVD. I change the title on iDVD's main screen to whatever I want, and that is the title that is burned onto the disk.
    Where are you seeing the reverted title on your burned DVD?

  • Idvd onestep won't capture movie

    When I hook up the camera with the tape and hit one step it rewinds tape and starts playing tape.  3 seconds in it stops and says no video captured, aborted.  Movie on tape is 2 hours 2 minutes long but I don't think the program knows that yet.  Can't change encoding yet either since it has not captured anything yet.  First time I've tried onestep.  Any help?

    Just to add to the Len's good advice.... and after confirming you have at least 20GB's of available HD space, look for the following item/s.
    com.apple.iDvd.plist
    Just copy & paste the above item in bold directly to the Finder (happy face on the dock), hit return, and then drag this item/s to the trash. Empty the trash.
    Now connect you camcorder to your iMac via firewire cable.
    Power up the camcorder and cue the tape to the approximate start point (manually). Keep the camcorder powered up.
    Now launch iDVD6. And try the One step process again thru iDVD. It should work.
    Hope this helps but if not, just post back.

    I know this is probably simple -- how do I change the title of my movie without doing a save as...it's stored on a LaCie external hardrive and I just can't figure it out but I bet it's easy?
    Thanks,

    how do I change the title of my movie
    Click on the title, select titles in the clips pane, make the change and click on update.
    without doing a save as
    Do you mean without making a full copy? You will have to save the project to link it to iDVD.

  • Zen Vision M 30 GB : sound not loud enough and how to change title of albums on the

    Hi, I'm a french ZVM new user so sorry for my bad english !?Two questions :?) I have very good ears, I don't like to listen the music too loud?but my ZVM does not play loud enough. I always need to put volume on level 25 (the maximum) when I'm listening to ZVM outside (and in the quiet of my house, I still have to put volume around 22 to hear something). I've red on this forum that one of the solution is to upgrade the version of the firmware. My ZVM is loaded at present with version .40.02. Can the download of the last version available on the creative website solve my problem ? Is there another way to solve it ?2) I've used the software CREATIVE MEDIA EXPLORER to load my cd's albums on my ZVM. But there are some mistakes in the title of the albums loaded (the ID3 tag are sometimes wrong). How can I change the wrong titles on my ZVM ? I've changed them on the files on my PC, with CREATIVE MEDIA EXPLORER but the changes are not uploaded on my ZVM. Thanks a lot for your answers and advices
