Idvd quits missing one or more themes????
when i launch idvd it will start loading last project saved or it may go to the open project window. either way when any project is selected or even a new one created it either searches endlessly for themes or quits out all together. if it does manage a error message it is usually one or more of you themes is missing null will be used instead.I have already trashed the plist for idvd in both libraries and even ran the 10.2 combo updater still to no avail
Are there issues on this mac with other apps as well or only iDVD6? Are all other iLife06 apps currently working as expected? (ie, iMovie)?
If there are no isssue with any other apps then please attempt to make a one step DVD (no themes) directly from a minidv tape / camera (via firewire) to iDVD6. See if the app will allow you to do this. Make sure to power up a connected minidv camera (in vcr play /mode) prior to launching a one step dvd via iDVD6.

The app will default to all the correct settings assuming you have powered up the minidv camcorder in vcr mode and it's properly connected via firewire .... Hopefully iDVD6 will allow you to launch a One Step DVD.
If we can get iDVD6 to make a One Step DVD on your machine under it's current software configuration, then we may also be able to narrow the above issue/s to the Themes Folder within iDVD6.

The solution is a farm solution (was never sandbox) and it deploys fine.

You can try to redeploy the solution.
retracted the solution,removed all the previous ref, removed dll from GAC and folder from 14\features and reset the iis, deploying it again.

With certain movies I have downloaded digitally through Itunes or certain movies through Netflix played through Apple TV, I am only getting partial sound. I am missing one or more sound tracks. Am I missing something in the settings for Apple TV?
Are you using a stereo receiver or surround sound system for the audio by chance. What you are describing sounds like a receiver that is not setup correctly, or does not have the speakers connected to it correctly to support Dolby surround, 5.1 or 7.1. Which is why it is only happening on some content. It would only be on the ones that are encoded to support Dolby audio.

I have prepared a photo book, made a pdf and when I press "buy thhe book" it tells me that the book is missing photos on one ore more pages. The book does not miss any photos or text, all layouts are ok, the background color is ok. Can anybody help me?
You are missing one or more photos - youprobably have a page background that requires a photo which is behind a page with photos on it - all pages must either have a photo or be a color - if you have a gray background it requires a photo - look through the book carefully and be sure to look at the background on any full page photos - you will find one or more missing photos

Unexpected quits, missing themes, missing fonts and broken file paths
I created a project in iDVD 5 on the Powerbook at home, and then took the drive containing the project and all related files to my dad's office to burn it on his iMac G5 (the drive in the powerbook won't burn anything - separate problem). I put all the required files which were on the Powerbook's internal HD in a folder on the external HD, so that they could be reconnected at the office (when the "following files could not be found" dialog pops up).
However, when I opened the project on the G5, from iDVD, it told me that at least one of the themes I had used could not be found. "Ok," I thought, "which ones are they?"; clicking the "show details" triangle, I got the following message:
"The following themes, used by this project, are missing on your system:
(null)"
This occured a total of five times, before the "following files could not be found" dialog appeared. Some of them had been on my desktop or in my preferences on the powerbook, which I had copied into the aforementioned folder on the portable HD, but it could not find any of the movie files nor some of the image files, all of which had not changed position on the external HD since I started the project. I showed it where all of the files were, and then another message popped up telling me a font was missing. At this point it froze on the spinning coloured ball of death, before showing me an "unexpectedly quit" message. I have been through this so many times, even tried deleting the "com.apple.iDVD.plist" file, which didn't help. I am at a loss.
iMac G5 Intel Core Duo Mac OS X (10.4.8) 2x 2 GHz Intel processorsWhat version of iDVD is on your Dad's computer. Since you have posted in the iDVD 6 forum, perhaps it is iDVD 6? That may be your problem because I would NOT expect a project created in iDVD 5 (as you have done) to work in iDVD 6.
If you had iDVD 6, I would have suggested you try creating an actual project archive out of iDVD (FILE>ARCHIVE PROJECT). The archive SHOULD contain all the elements you need to work on another computer. -

PS: If you see any others errors (syntax, or other) please tell meJust in playing with it, I added an extra ${endif} at the end of the network section and the error went away. Since I only have one network connection, I don't know if it breaks something else or not.

I bought a new Sony Vaio Laptop running Windows 8, 64bit, i7 processor. Everytime I open iTunes and then close out, the following message occurs: (i-tunes message - One or more applications are using the iTunes scripting interface. Are you sure you want to quit?) Then it starts counting down from 20 seconds unless I just click on the (Quit) button. How do I get this to stop? Please be specific, I am challenged when it comes down to computers.
Thank YouThis was extremely annoying for me, also. I started uninstalling unneeded Sony applications to try to narrow down the problem. It turned out not to be a Sony application... it is some functionality built into the bluetooth driver software package by Broadcom. Uninstalling the bluetooth package (via the control panel) takes care of the problem. Itunes also boots up way quicker. But uninstalling it will remove features related to bluetooth and nfc. For me, that isn't an issue, since I don't use them. Since you said you're "computer challenged" I would probably just send an email to sony complaining about the problem. They'll get in touch with Broadcom eventually (the manufacture of the drivers) and get the problem fixed.
Side note: the Broadcom package is huge... nearly 1GB in size. Which is crazy. I can't imagine what it does considering the size of it. Entire operating systems can take up less storage. Also, I have no idea how it starts an itunes plugin without placing it into the standard plugin directories. -

Deleting from iPhoto or image capture after import should be fine and shouldn't cause any issues. Deleting from the folder view of finder, can cause issues as the camera can the image is still there. You can try emptying the trash on your mac if you deleted them via the finder, as although you've deleted it, it's only marked as trashed and not actually deleted until you empty the trash - ie it won't relieve the space taken by the files.
If your still having issues after you try this, you may be best formating the memory card. This will wipe all data on it though, so make sure you do copy anything off that yo u want to keep! Format from the camera, so that choosing the format>erase all option from the menu of most cameras. -

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

I have re-installed my OS (Tiger). Upon launching Photoshop the first time (CS2) I had to re-authorize, ok, no problem (I hope). Then the window appears: One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary to running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop. Then the program continues launching, presumably with some function(s) crippled.
My question: can I simply copy the Adobe Application Support folder onto my hard drive from the SuperDuper backup that I made before re-installing the OS? Will this satisfy the requirement? Sounds simpler than re-installing Photoshop, then probably having to re-authorize, etc.

Try it (copy the
CONTENTS
of the folder over. Don't make a second folder in your
.../Library/... folder). Can't hurt. If it doesn't work, just remove the files you copied over and try something else.
Make notes about what goes where, if you have to. Make a backup copy of items you're mucking about with, if you're unsure of anything. Just make sure you create enough clues for yourself so you can return your system and particularly the App Support folder back to the way it was before you started experimenting. -
