IDVD Themes not Showing up?

So at work I noticed my Mac Pro did not include iDVD, but had all of the other iLife programs. So after finding the install disc I installed iDVD back onto my computer and it installed and booted up ok, but when I make a project the theme is not visible. I can hear the different theme musics in the background as I switch from different themes but all I see (even when simulating) is a black box. I am pretty sure the themes are installed, but I am puzzled as to why I do not see them. Anybody have any suggestions or have this occur to them before?

Try this:
delete iDvd completely with this app (free download from apple's web site):
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/appdelete.html
Repair Permissions from apple's disc utility (applicatons > Utilities > Disc Utility).
Now re-install iDvd (custom install). You'll need the software DVD (the one with iDvd on it) and perform a custom install for this one app only. You'll have to install the DVD as if you plan to install all the iLife apps until you get to this particular screen:

Click on customize (bottom left). And install iDvd plus all necessary resources directly from the software Dvd that shipped with your mac (or any retail version of iLife'09).

IDVD 5.0 Themes not showing

Hi I'm having trouble on my MacMini MacOS X Leopard with the themes in iDVD 5.0. I just get a black screen and no theme showing. Only the name of the theme are showing and the title/ background music is playing.
I am able to see the theme thumbnail(s) to the left, but main window is black no matter what theme I choose.
I'ved tried to:
Update by running softwareupdate.
Removed all files containing iDVD in /User/lib/application support and /user/lib/preferences and /applications and then reinstall iDVD 5.0 and updating.
Disktool and Check and repair disk and accesses.
All to no avail.

Well, I do have iDVD 8.0 running on my iMac - but I've experienced poor iLIFE application quality/ integration compared to ie. iLIFE 5.0 application suite.
In iDVD 8.0 I've stopped creating DVD's by using the mediabrowser functionallity cause it makes iDVD crash every time, now I use the manual import option. (And yes I did tons of troubleshoting, reinstall, diskchecks etc.)
Iphoto also had some serious crash issues - however some of the application updates solved this for me and this application is now stable and usable as long as I do not import pictures and video in the same import from my digital cam!
So I'm not that keen on upgrading, but of course if iLIFE 5.0 is no longer supported by Mac os 10.5 then it makes sense - but be aware you may experience new challenges.

IDVD Themes Not Launching

Hi...I'm frustrated! I launch iDVD and I can access my photos and movies without a problem. However, when I try to create a new project, and I select a theme...the theme does not load so I cannot drop photos in place. Any ideas? HELP!

Yes you can.....
check the iDvd Help Menu and write this in the search box:
Changing the background image of a dvd menu
Changing the background image of a DVD menu
You can add your own photo to the menu background of any iDVD theme, replacing the theme’s background. Images in menu backgrounds are cropped to fit the standard DVD window size, but the aspect ratio of the original image is preserved. You can replace the background of each menu in your project with a different image if you want.
To change the background image of a DVD menu:
Make sure the menu whose background you want to change is showing in the iDVD window.
Click the Media button to open the Media pane, and then click Photos so you have ready access to your iPhoto library.
You can also drag an image stored elsewhere on your computer using the methods described in step 3.
Use one of the following methods to add the photo to the menu background:

Drag a photo from the Photos pane to the menu background, outside any drop zones. When your pointer is over the menu and you see a green circle with a plus sign, you can drop the image.

Click the Drop Zone button (shown below) to open the drop zone editor. Drag an image from the Photos pane into the menu well in the drop zone editor.
◼
With your pointer over the menu (and with no button or text object selected), press Command-I to open the Menu Info window. Drag an image from the Photos pane to the background well (the center well, shown below).
You can make your image fit the DVD window exactly. See Related Topics below for more information.
To remove a background image and revert to the original theme background, open the Menu Info window and drag the image out of the background well. It disappears in an animated puff of smoke. Or, if you have not saved your changes yet, choose Edit > Undo Set Menu Background.

Today Plus theme not showing all-day events

I am using a Today Plus theme I have downloaded off of bplay and love it. I use google calendar and sync without problems.
My only issue is that I have many (MANY) all-day events in my google calendar that don't appear on the main page unless I specifically highlight the calendar icon to show my agenda, monthly view, etc.
These are everything from birthdays, holidays, what color uniform my kids are to wear that day......important things that I have spent a lot of time putting in my google calendar only to NOT show up!
I may not be wording everything correctly here as this is my first forum post, but hopefully you can get the basic point and please try to help me out!

I noticed that the issue only happens to specific user with specific computer. Please do the following checking to narrow down the issue:
1. please update the Outlook client with the latest patches and service packs.
2. disable using Exchange cached mode and check whether the issue happens in Online mode in this computer.
3. Start
Outlook in safe mode to have a try.
4. Perform a clean boot
in your Windows for the new machine.

Why Do My Themes Not Show In Search

I created a theme, added tags and when I search using two of the tags in another browser (not signed in), my theme does not show.
I'm thinking there must be more to the search that I do not understand.
Search for:

Try closing the camera app and the photos app, reset your iPad and then launch the photos app again. You will not lose any data when you reset the iPad this way.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Uploaded custom, theme not showing in repository

I have copied a existed theme_4 from images/themes/theme_4 to them_200.
when i am trying to export the same from repository, that is not showing in the list..
I have followed the below steps to create new custom theme
1) in images/themes/theme_4 copied the theme_4 directory to theme_200 direcotory
2) changed the CSS files, as per our requirements.
3) should export the them_200, changed one (not showing in repository list) currently stuck
4) after exporting the theme_200.sql , need to replace t4 and etc.... with t200 etc
5) importing the changed one into repository.
currently i am stuck with step 3, can you please help me on this...

1) I copied from theme_4 to Theme_200.

New Portal Theme not showing up in list

Hello fellow experts,
I'm using EP 7 sp10...I've created a new portal theme, it shows up on the Portal Display page, under my Themes, however it does not show up in the drop down list (Content admin/Portal Content/portal users/standard portal users/every user core role) as an option for a portal theme...

Images of personas and themes not showing on getpersonas etc.

When I try to view the personas.com site, the images of the personas do not show up on the web page. (This is not the same problem as not seeing my own persona change to the new one on mouse rollover - that form of previewing does work.) The same thing happens with themes on the themes page. Both sites are whitelisted for "install extensions or themes", and all adblock and ghostery etc turned off for these sites. I have also checked my hosts file - there is no mozilla or getpersonas entry. Sessional cookies allowed.

A setting of 3 for the pref permissions.default.image means that you only allow images from the originating domain and block images from other (third-party) domains.

IDVD menus not showing up...

Hey people, we work in a video class in our school and the menus for Idvd does not work. Like they dont even show up. So if you can help us out that would be amazing and we would love you forever.

Themes not showing

I made the mistake of changing from a summer theme to fall (or trying to change to fall). I went to my collections of themes in add on, picked one, the art work did not show up, I tried another after another, closed the browser, etc.. I read the article and that did not help. Right now I have a bright white with hard to read yellow text. Windows 7, newest Firefox. What do I try?

You can't use a theme in Safe Mode.
Are you using the default theme in Firefox or a custom theme?
Not all themes work with a lightweight theme (Persona).
Aren't any lightweight themes showing when you hover them on the Add-ons page?
You need an allow exception for software to make previewing work.

X3-02 - Animated wallpaper and themes not showing

Hey Guys,
Wondering if any of you know how to fix this problem. X3-02 version 5.65. I have wallpaper that is animated kind of like a gif file, that does not show properly after software update. I mean you can see the picture but it is still instead of animated.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Theme not showing on all slides

I created a new theme, but when I applied the theme (File>Choose Theme) it only shows it on one of the slides. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Themes are applied on a slide-by-slide basis, not globally. If you want to set the theme on ALL slides in a presentation, select one slide in the sidebar, hit cmd-a to select all of them, and THEN select your theme.

IMovie to iDvd chapters not showing up?

I have a great film of a relatives wedding that I edited in iMovie I then sent it to iDvd figuring I could chapter it when it got there. I was wrong. You have to enable an advanced menu then chapter the movie in iMovie. I did this then decided to Export at 640x480 so that I would have a real video file to import into iDVD incase something went wrong. (when I had sent the movie to iDVD the first time it showed up in the DVD menu but I did not have a real file anywhere so if I deleted it from the project I would have to spend another two hours to add it back in.
When I added the exported 640x480 movie to a new iDVD project it found no chapter markers. Ok fine so I went back into iMovie and sent to iDVD. This time I let it run over night and when I checked it in the morning it had an error and could not complete. I dont wish to waist another two hours on something that isnt going to work. I have searched all over the internet for how to add chapters between iMovie and iDVD but all of the articles are outdated and all apple has to say is that they both provide support for chapters but no help documentation walks you through the process. Can someone please explain to me the best way to go from iMovie to iDVD and have my chapters? Do I need to use a special project that supports a scene selection or something? I need to make a 4:3 DVD.

[murrine] murreza theme not showing firefox menu items

so i tried out murrine today and i like it, but the theme that suits me best (murreza) doesn't seem to show the menu items in firefox. they are clickable though, so they're only hidden somehow by the theme.
does anyone know why this happens, or how to fix it?

thanks for your suggestion anonymous_user, i'd rather not change the firefox config though since this seems to be a gtk(rc) problem. other dark murrine themes like NOX work alright..
