IDVD was working and now it doesn't

Last spring I created a movie in iMovie, shared it with iDVD and created a DVD using iDVD. It worked wonderfully. The movie turned out perfect, plays perfectly in my DVD player. I was thrilled. Now I want to create another DVD using iDVD and I can't get it to work. It opens the program and then freezes and I can't even get the initial screen to open, the beach ball just keeps spinning and spinning. I've tried reloading the software and I've tried repairing disk permissions. Nothing works. How do I get iDVD to work again???

Trash the iMovie and iDVD preference files.
*Quit iMovie and iDVD.*
Locate a file named com.apple.iMovie.plist and one named com.apple.iDVD.plist and get rid of them. Both apps will create new preference files the next time they run.
Then, empty the trash and run a permissions repair from the Disk Utility folder.
The files are located here:
Users/YourName**/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iMovie.plist and
Users/YourName**/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iDVD.plist
Also, check to be certain that all of your apps are updated to the latest software updates. (QuickTime, iDVD, OS X, ext)
Then run another permissions repair.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Wifi was working, and now does not discover any networks

I had wifi working, and now it does recognize any of the 6 networks that everything else discovers, any sugestions?
I read all related posts, did the software update to latest version, restarted several times, and did wifi reset. Actually my statmenet above is not entirely true. It does discover the network and connects when I place the device on top of a router, but moving to 50cm away from it and the connection disconnects and there are no networks discovered. I have tried it with 2 different routers, both of them are working well with my blackberry and laptop - and this was also working with the ipad before.

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo.
If this does not work, then restore the iPad to its factory settings and start again.

My iPad 2 will not connect to my wifi. It was working and now will not connect.

If you can see the network and can connect to it do you see a little blue circle with an arrow pointing to the right? If you do could you please click that & confirm what IP address you are receiving.

Why is the program asking for a password to color a PDF. I changed the end to png and it was working and now quit

I was using PDF from a nonprofit i work for to color with PS Elements. It worked and then no longer allows me to drop files into PS Elements.
First I download the PDF's ....then I change the end from PDF TO .png and then drag and drop into PS Elements ....color .....
Then I put the files into DropBox and send them to iphoto to use in Doceri
FIrst the error message was about Parse
Now the message is that I need a password to use the program.
Friends all over the country can get this to work but it is NOT WORKING. I emptied and redownloaded dropbox.....not the problem.
We set up a dummy account and still could nto use.

PSE asks for a password when the file was password protected by whoever created it. You can't really expect decent results if you just change the extension of a file. A PDF is a very different animal than a png file and contains very different information, so it's not surprising your results are poor. That's the sort of thing you may get away with once in a while, but you can't expect to use it as a regular workflow.
Your whole procedure sounds extremely complicated for no particular good reason, at least as you describe it. It would be simpler to open the pdf in Preview and save a copy as a png if that's the format you need, but saving a pdf as anything other than a pdf will generally create a lousy looking file. I would just leave PSE out of the equation here, since you don't seem to be doing any editing with it.

Email was working and now will not. can recieve but not sent

Prior to turning off computer for three days all was working well. after turning on computer i could receive emails but not send. Could not even reply, as well as new. Other browsers work fine.
Could not even uninstall Mozella.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:

Firefox 4 mobile was updated and now it doesn't open.

It looks like FF 4.0 Mobile received an update and then hung. I restarted my Xoom and tried to startup FF. It hung again at the FF logo. There were no errors. I could not stop the process. FF was unusable and I needed to unistall it. I'm hesitant to reinstall it because It took me awhile to get it configure to my liking.

Sorry about that, and thanks for the report. If you do re-install Firefox, could you let us know whether it starts working again? That may help us narrow down the problem.

I am having a problem with Time Machine, the error msg is "Time Machine.app can't be modified or deleted because it is required by MacOsX". It was working and now it is not.

Should have added that I am trying to retrieve back-up images.

Wi-Fi worked and now it doesn't

I am a teacher and my daughters bought me the iPad for use in our school. The first day I brought it, the iPad connected but was slow. The next day, the iPad connected fine and ran fairly fast. Both days had a strong signal. On day 3, the iPad shows a strong signal but now will not connect to the internet.
I have tried all of the fixes in this Wi-Fi discussion threads, hard reset, power down router, updated firmware, mac address filtering turned off, but nothing seems to work. The IP address shown in the settings starts with a "169" which one of the forums discussed was self assigned therefore I input one from my IS manager to see if that was the problem, but to no avail. I'm at my wits end with an iPad loaded with useful internet apps that I can't use... It works fine in my home connected to either my airport extreme base station or my non-secure neighbors Netgear, no problems there, just at school with the Belkin router.

I did do the reset as well. I am not sure what encryption is being used, I just know the password, although I will say that my IS person asked me to try adding a dollar ($) sign at the end or beginning of the password. Sounded a little hokey, but I tried it, didn't work...
I will find out what encryption we use. Is there a preferred type for iPads?

It was working and now it's not

I was listening to music throughout the house all day so iTunes was sending to the Apple TV for the theater speakers. I turned everything off, did some stuff and then decided to listen to some more music while I worked. I turned on everything including the TV this time so I could select music from there. iTunes is on but it no longer can connect to the Apple TV. I get this error message.
An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device “Apple TV”. An unknown error occurred (-15000).
I double checked the TV input and it is correct. The screen glows slightly and if I press the remote buttons I hear the familirar beeps but nothing else is happening. There have been no power outages or anything else weird happening since I turned it off and back on beyond the passage of an hour or so. What's happening?
I will go disconnect the power and do all the usual stuff but there is no good reason why this happened and all the messages I could find concerning similar unknown error messages have gone unanswered. Does no one know what is happening?

My compiled help files was working and now is broken in LabVIEW 2009

I've created a .chm file for distributing an add-on VI Library. In order to get my product certified as "LabVIEW compatible", a help file with pretty good documentation is required. Using the Microsoft Help Workshop, I have created a .chm file that works in LabVIEW 8.5 and 8.6. Once I distribute to LabVIEW 2009, the javascript portions of the help file fail. These functions are:
1) Place on Block diagram
2) Find on Functions Palette
3) Open Example
I have determined that this is due to a variable written in NI glang.chm file. The file internal to the chm file is called "lvversion.js" and contains a variable named "lvversion". The marketing decision to name the product "LabVIEW 2009" has contributed to this problem since this variable is equal to "9.0.0", yet the path is (typically) C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\help
I originally decompiled NIs glang.chm file to analyze the javascript functions that are required for the above 3 buttons to work.I found that NI hardcodes the URL of the help services in a file called "helpserver.js" to be something like "http://127.0.0.1:3580/National%20Instruments/LabVIEW/LabVIEW {major-version}" where major version is "8.5" rather than "8.5.1"
A call to the function "openProj" would then look something like:
http://127.0.0.1:3580/National%20Instruments/LabVIEW/LabVIEW 8.5/OpenVIFromHelp?PROJ=myProject.lvproj
NI hardcodes these URL in glang.chm::/helpserver.js, and I would gladly read them directly if Javascript were less crippled. Since that hasn't worked yet, I did a regular expression in javascript to determine the version based on the path of the document. This worked until LabVIEW 2009 where the path is (typically):
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009
but the version in glang.chm::/lvversion is "9.0.0"
Yes, I can workaround that by doing some javascript that says:
if(version == 2009)
            version = "9.0"
        else
            version = version
However, when 9.0.1 comes out, will it be LabVIEW 2009 still, or LabVIEW 2010? I'd like my javascript code to decoupled from any particular version so I don't have to relase a new version of my toolkit for each LabVIEW major or minor release.

OK I finally worked around this. Here is some javascript code that will look for a file called "lvversion.js" inside the <LabVIEW Directory>\help\glang.chm file. save this as a javascript file named "myjavascript.js"

Now when you call functions from NI's glang.chm::/helpserver.js file, you won't need to prepend and URL or path information to the function to determine which version of LabVIEW you are in. I tested this on 8.5, 8.6, and 2009 and it now pulls up all my examples properly in all of those versions. The following demnostrates a call to "openProj" which opens a project containing all of my examples from a javascript button in the detailed help .html file that gets compiled into the .chm file:

Help! Everything was working and now for no reasons with no changes made the home sharing on the apple TV stopped working! now i cant play games on ipad using apple tv!
