IDVD won't play the audio right for the movie

Hi.
I'm having a problem with iDVD 6. I made a movie I want to burn on DVD. The sound is fine on iMovie, but when I previewed it on iDVD 6 it was messed up. Does anyone know what to do?

I'm having the same problem and "glad" to see this is not an isolated problem. An iPhoto slideshow sent to iDVD with the same music works fine but not if I turn the iPhoto slideshow into an iMovie (I wanted a variety of transitions, titles, etc. that iMovie permits) and then transfer it to iDVD. The sound appears to be playing at a slow speed.
However, I discovered that if I first transfer the iMovie file to Garageband in iLife6 and then transfer it to iDVD from Garageband that the sound track is working again. It takes a lot of time to do these transfers so if anyone has discovered why some of us have a problem in transferring from iMovie5 or iMovie6 to iDVD5 or iDVD6 I would appreciate an answer. I had hoped iLife6 would solve my problem but it hasn't.

I recently had to get a new windows computer, old one crashed. My tech guy got all my itunes library over to the new one, and all my songs are there. However, some won't play and ask me for the password for the apple id they were purchased under. 2 of these ids are obsolete and I have no access to those accts. The songs all played on my old computer without prompting me for a password.
Any ideas how I can get around this hassle and get them all to play? We're talking about 800 songs that are being obstinate. The new computer is authorized under my "new" Apple id, which I have used for years.

How's the audio quality for the touch?

Topic. Also, can the Touch handle high bitrate files; eg. 192 - 320 kbps? With my nano, I've noticed that songs with high bitrates sounds abit distorted. Examples would be Forever by Chris Brown and Don't Stop the Music by Rihanna.
I should also mention that I didn't notice this "distortion" with my Creative ZEN. So, is the audio quality the same or better than the Creative ZEN/Zen X-Fi?
Need these questions answered before I decide to buy a Touch. Thanks guys!

Yes, I have a lot of CD's ripped at 320Kbps (160 per channel stereo) through iTunes and they work fine.
Very difficult to compare "sound quality" with other devices I have not heard, even then it is down to personal taste and ear phones etc.
All I can say is using my Touch with Sennheiser CX300's and a Creative X Dock, I have no complaints, to me it sounds great.
Maybe go to an Apple store and test one out, there is also a 14 day return period.

Make sure the volume slider in iTunes isn't all the way to the left.

I paid for it so I'd really like to avoid paying again just to see this movie. Is it because it's on my iPhone? Whenever I try to click on the movie to make it play it just does nothing like it's not there. The file for the movie exists within my iTunes library files but I can't seem to click and drag it into iTunes or open it with iTunes. Need help.

Can you access the iTunes Library in other app? IPhoto? IMovie? If not, then I'd bring that to the iTunes forum

Droid Razr Bug. Won't play streaming audio from websites.

My Droid Razr won't play streamed audio from a website and won't play .wav files attached to e-mails. That's annoying.
Motorola tech support said problem will be fixed upon next upgrade of Android OS.
My phone is currently running Android OS 2.3.5.

i got the same issue on my ipod. i figured the whole idea of converting the format would solve the issue. never really found out how to solve it. i'll be watching this post to see if anyone has a solve for this issue.

What is supposed to be in each project - just edited VTS_01_1.VOB or edits from the others in the series
such as VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, etc.

Project 34 has edited Premiere Elements file 34 and the VOB files (VST_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc) from DVD#34
Project 35 has edited Premiere Elements file 35 and the VOB files (VST_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc) from DVD#35
Project 36 has edited Premiere Elements file 36 and the VOB files (VST_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc) from DVD#36

When I run the VST_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc from each project the audio and the video are clean and match.
When I run the edited Premiere Elements file that were created after project 34 edited Premiere Elements file project 35, 36, 37 etc. I am getting the audio from project 34
When I run the edited Premiere Elements file that were created before project 34 edited Premiere Elements file project 1, 2, all the way to 33. I am getting the correct audio

Source window video won't play, only audio - can someone help?

First time on this forum. Using Pr CS4. After capturing DV clip and opening in the source window - if I click on the play button in the source window the video makes a movement like it is going to play but then freezes. The audio from the clip still plays. I can scrub the clip in the souce window just fine. Could it be that I don't have some of the playback settings selected correctly. I should note that I have already put the clip on the timeline.

Quarter rez is like built-in proxy editing, and works well here. Just follow the workflow guide for the latest version of the RED plug-in.
The new workflow guide says this:
Please note that the presets have been updated. For the new fractional resolution feature to be enabled, you must be using a preset from this release. Pre-existing timelines will need to be copy/pasted into a newly created sequence for the new decode options to become available.
Does that apply to you?
The latest version of the plug-in also has a "new" Source Settings dialog. Format/resolution are now done on-the-fly from the Program Monitor display settings. I include that info only on the off chance that you haven't noticed it yet.

According to Microsoft support website, Windows Media Player still won't support MP4 files. Though we can make WMP play MP4 video by install some codec, sometime we still encounter can't play MP4 in Windows Media Player issue. MP4 is a container format which may contain multiple video and audio streams. And the video and audio stream can be encoded any of several ways. If the MP4 video or audio codec is not WMP installed codec supported one, Windows Media Player won't play MP4 video of this kind. In order to solve "Windows Media Player won't play MP4 files even when the appropriate codec is installed" and to successfully play any MP4 video in Windows Media Player, we had better convert MP4 to Windows Media Player more supported video format like WMV, AVI. If I toggle the button in the top right of the HUD it 'unlocks' and I can drag it to where I prefer -- at the left margin; (for over a decade) my dock has resided at the right margin so all my slider manipulation over countless editing sessions in Aperture has been ingrained to work at the left margin -- but, the vast majority of the time, the HUD overlaps the image I am editing in this 'unlocked' mode.
Every occasionally I enter Full Screen View and it positions on the left margin *without* superimposition...(!) My great joy is modulated into aggravation, however, should my tracking cursor drift all the way 'out of bounds' -- to call in the hidden pane of adjacent images sequenced in the library... This dramatically shrinks the Full Screen display and re-locks the HUD; if I toggle the switch to re-xpand the image it re-positions at the right margin!!!! I SOOoooooo wish I knew how to control the default 'locked' margin of the HUD in Full Screen View...

thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. Are u just trying to get the creative people saying "oh man we lost another one to ipod" cuz i'm sure they don't lose sleep over u wanting to buy an ipod instead of a zen. *done ranting*
