IDVD6 themes(templates) usable in DVDSP4?

It's my understanding DVDSP4 will not open or import iDVD6 projects.
But is there any way just the iDVD6 themes (templates) can somehow be used in DVDSP4?

I notice from an almost identical post after mine that I may already have most of the iDVD6 themes - apparently iDVD6 re-uses some of those from DVDSP4.

Hi,
I have noticed that I don't seem to have any templates appearing within DVDSP4 - have I missed something during the installation?
Checked the directory structure within Finder and I don't even have an Apple directory.
Any ideas?

You may not have installed them or somehow changed locations. Not sure which version of DVD SP 4 you are running. But in finder do a search for "Smoke Frame Gradient" without the quote and the spaces, that is one of the templates installed.
If you can find that, the templates are installed and you can use preferences to target that folder. Usually the folder is installed in Application Support

No, iTunes printing is quite simple and only works off it's own templates. If you want to customise templates you'd be better advised to look at on of the specialised cover printing programs that are available. DiskLabel is one that springs to mind.

Muse theme template onegenius.muse keeps crashing when entering Preview mode

I downloaded the Muse theme template onegenius.muse and it consistently crashes when put into preview mode. I have updated Adobe Air as well as the most up to date Muse version. Here's the interesting piece, now - This does not happen with any of the previous muse websites I have worked on. Just this template I downloaded from muse-themes.com. Themes/Templates from iPhoto 07 or 06

I just have installed Leopard and I'm missing the themes from iPhoto 07 and 06. iPhoto had one theme that was perfect for a baby album.
What's the best way to get those themes/templates back??

There is no iPhoto 7 - iPhoto '08 (current version 7.1.1) replaced iPhoto 6
iPhoto '08 has different themes than previous versions - so far no one has posted a way to use older themes or customize the existing ones - you should suggest it to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
A great resource for looking at the iPhoto '08 themes is Liz Castro's iPhoto theme web page - take a look - http://www.lizcastro.com/iphotobookthemes/ - it should help you choose an available theme to work in.

New iWeb theme templates for sale

I thought I saw several new iWeb theme templates for sale several weeks ago about the time the 1.1 themes came out. They were priced at around $12 or $15 dollars or so. Anyone know where they are?

Location of iWeb themes (templates)

Hi, do you know where are located iWeb themes (templates) in Finder? I'd like to use background picture used in Podcast page of Watercolour theme for Blog page of the same theme - there's a different picture used in background. There's no way how to change it directly in iWeb but there's an option to use background picture located anywhere in my Mac. So probably, if I'll know where themes (templates) are located, I might be able to succeed :-)
Any suggestions?

In the Finder do Command-Shift-G and paste the line below.
/Applications/iWeb.app/Contents/Resources/Themes/
Then hit Return. Right-Click a Theme and choose Show Package content.

Can theme template pages be expanded horizontally?

Can iWeb '08 theme page templates be expanded laterally? I know the page templates can expand downward but am wondering if they can be made wider?

Okay, for an example of what I am writing about:
In iWeb '08,
Choose New Page:
Choose Layered Paper as a Theme> choose Welcome Page.
In the Inspector>Page>Layout
Type in 800 px in the Content Width
On my screen the content area expands horizontally but is broken and separates from the central light yellowish block that has rounded corners.
Does anyone know if it is possible to expand the width of the central light yellow block?

I'm trying to
create a theme/application template that can be used for all our future
application development across workspaces. I have successfully created an
application template which is available from all workspaces that are
subscribing the templates from my “Design Application”.
My problem is that
I would like to be able to “publish” all changes on a template to all
applications that are using this specific template. For that I have created a “design”
application in my main workspace named “APPS”.
Application: Design Template
Application ID: 150
Workspace: APPS
Description: Main application for design purposes. The application has been
created in order to be able to subscribe the template from my Application
Template application.
The source for my application template also resides in the workspace “APPS”.
Application: Application Template
Application ID: 151
Workspace : APPS
Description : Application used to create an Application Template, which
will be used when creating a new application.
The templates in my application “Application Template”, are subscribers to the templates in my
application “Design Template”.

No, you're doing it absolutely correctly. By design, APEX does not permit subscriptions (or any other sharing of information) across workspaces. See for example these posts from late APEX team member Scott Spadafore:

This is not likely to change in the immediate future, per Christian's comments in Re: APEX_UTIL.PREPARE_URL does not work across workspaces?
To achieve "subscription" across workspaces you'd need synchronize your Design Template and Application Template apps outside of APEX by exporting and importing using SQL*Plus and the apex_application_install API.

Themes/templates for photo slide show in iMovie6

Wondering if anyone know how to use other themes created in the past (iMovie5). I am using iMovie6 and it comes with 5 themes.

No, you can't use the iDVD templates in iPhoto, but you can make a slideshow with iDVD or iMovie!

CUSTOM PHOTO BOOK THEME / TEMPLATE SETTINGS?

I want to create a photo book using any of the pre-defined Aperture photo book themes.
My question is that I want to create a book in Portrait Layout (8.5 x 11") but the only available themes seem to be designed in Landscape Layout (11 x 8.5"). Are there any workarounds or additional themes allowing me to format in Portrait Layout while retaining the page / photo box options available in the included themes? BTW ... I will be printing the pages myself and not necessarily ordering through Apple's service

You pretty much have to create that kind of layout yourself. You can check out some of the new book vendors and their templates but from what I have seen so far they are also somewhat limited.

"Formal-theme" template graphic files are "missing"?

My blog has been giving me an error message when I open it: "The following errors occurred when trying to open this document", "Missing file 'Pinstripewelcometile-15.jpg". It's one of the background pinstripe graphics for the "formal" theme that has an "x" and a question mark - it's used on all the entry pages. (http://web.me.com/mikejdunlap/Site/BLOG/Entries/2010/4/27ChocablockCookies.html) I've added new pages and republished, but the "number" of the missing graphic keeps changing every time I open iWeb: "welcomepinstripe15.jpg" etc - I think it started at "_9.jpg". I can't "replace" the file or add them again to my page - since it's a template graphic, rather than my own that I can choose in the media browser. How do I get iWeb to put this background image back in the entry pages? Thanks in advance for any help!

This problem of the "disappearing domain file" seems to come from updating to V 2.0.2 and not doing a restart.
You need to try a spotlight search for your "missing" domain.sites2 file to see if it has been moved to another location on your hard drive - failing that, do a manual search. Others have been successful with this.
One of the things you have to realize about iWeb is that it doesn't back your files up anywhere. You have to backup the domain.sites2 file yourself and update it every time you make changes.
If anything goes wrong and you don't have an up to date domain file - you're screwed!

How do I delete DVDSP and iDVD themes & template?

Can someone point me to the folders where the DVDSP and iDVD 3 & 4 themes and templates are located? They were installed from the Final Cut Studio 5.1 discs, but there's no uninstall option.
I don't want to delete anything important. Just the "extras" that were installed along with DVDSP. Even though I want these files gone now, I still want the ability to reinstall them from the FCP 5.1 Suite sometime in the future.

Best move is to move them to an external you can point to them if needed
Library->AppSupport-iDVD (have not tried moving them you may want to leave some in do not know if it affects iDVD)
MHD>Library>appsupport>dvdsp>apple>templates
