IDX2 Idoc metadata import error

Hi
When i tried to import the Metadata in IDX2, the metadata is updating, it s populating old and new fields
As i deleted the one field in IDoc but when i imported the metadata in IDX2 the deleted field is also populating.
I tried couple of times by deleting and reimporting the metadata,
any ideas why its populating old values
Thanks

  • IDX2 IDoc Metadata issue

    Hello,
We have created an IDoc and imported it in our XI system,it worked fine.
Then we changed the length of a field and reimported this IDoc,deleted the metadata in IDX2 and it is fine in development system.
The metadata is exactly same as the latest version of IDoc.
However, when we imported the same in our test system,in IDX2, for metadata,we can see this changed field appears two times, one with the old length and other with the changed length.
What could be the reason for this?
Has anybody encountered this problem?Kindly let us know.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Shweta

    Hi Rajesh,
We tried to delete the metadata using transaction IDX2 a number of times but every time it gets created with twice occurence of this field.
Also, this is fine in dev system and test R/3 system.
Problem only exists in test XI system.
We tried transporting again as well, but no luck.
Here, new changes are being picked up but older changes are not removed ,so we can see both versions for this field.
    Any other areas to check?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Shweta

    Hi
Thanks for your reply. Please find my answers below:
    1. Have your config your ODI_SDK, ODI_JDBC_DRIVER_JAR. Whether or not the path is correct.
Yes, my paths are correct. I verified it by running it with incorrect paths and it would error out specifying that say "ODI_SDK" not found etc. Only if all my paths are correct it would error out at this level. Also if you see it clearly mentions "Loading ODI repository configuration complete." above.
    2. Have you fully install ODI ,because some of jars didn't in the path you config in the metadata-import.bat.
Yes, I have installed ODI and I did a few sample regular DB to DB loads to validate that. Only after this I tried installing the KM.
    3. Have you installed some software change the ODI SDK or odi jdbc driver jar.
    No
    4. This version metadata import tools only use for ODI 11g, because new version ODI has change its sdk, it didn't support ODI 12c right now.
I used ODI 11.1.1.1.7 which is certified for this KM downloaded from edelivery. I am aware 12C is not certified.
    5. Did your use RCU to create the ODI master and supervisor.
yes, I used RCU 11.1.1.1.7 to create repositories.
Also, I tried doing this in two isolated environments - one on linux and one on windows. Both gave exactly the same error.
Please help. And let me know if you need any further information.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Metadata import error during creation of import profile

    Hi guys,
I am trying to create a (out-of-the-box) metadata interface from Fusion (source) to a HFM application. I've successfully completed the following activities:
    - Register source system
    - Setup source accounting entities
    - Initialize source system
    - Register target system
    - Create import format (Fusion to HTP application) which maps the Account COA segment from the source system to the Account dimension in the target application.
    - Create location, connected to upper import format
    - Create metadata rule
When I try to execute the metadata rule it raises the following error during the step "Creating EPMA import profile for dimension ERPI System Profile 5" :

  • RFC metadata import error - Couldnu0092t find the branch for version with id

    Hi All,
When re-importing RFC meta-data, system returned following error message   <i>Couldn’t find the branch for version with id = <version id></i>
I am not able to delete the existing (already imported) RFC meta-data.  However, I am able to import the same RFC into a different Software Component.
The error is described in SAP note – 710998, unfortunately, this note only references  XI 2.0
Is there anyway other than these-
    1) Deleting a new SWCV and importing it and then import the RFC and make Release transfer from new SWCV to Old  SWCV. If so, is there any impact on my QA systems and Productions systems during transport.
    2) Deleting the existing SWC and Reimporting from SLD and trying to import the RFC again and redoing all the design
    3) Exporting the current SWC and deleting it and importing the same file and then trying out the RFC import.
These options I just thought as an workaround solutions. Because i am not able to try these, as i don't have any test systems for this. Let me know any suggestions on these.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Moorthy

Yes, the used structures were imported from an old XI system. But I created the mapping new on the PI and put the used externel definitions manually to the mapping. That worked fine but now everytime when saving the mapping this error occurs. Btw both structures are used in other mappings, too, and they can be modified without any problems.
Which jdk version do you mean? Client or server?
    Regards.
    Oliver.

  • Problem in importing idoc metadata

    Hi all,
i have problem in loading metadata in idx2. idoc details are AFS/ORDERS05/ZADIORDCONF port: SAPAGS client 003 . i could see an idoc metadata with name ORDERS05 under the corresponding sap system (SAPAGS with client 003) but with out any extension.
now i tried to create another with idoc type : ORDERS05
                                                    Extension: ZADIORDCONF
                                           and    Source port:SAPAGS
it is giving error msg Extension ZADIORDCONF is not assigned to basic type OREDERS05.
wat could be the reason , please help to solve it
    Thanks and Regards
    Jhansi

    Hi,
There is no need to add anything to idx2. You could delete the existing metadata from idx2 and reimport it.
In some cases even this would not work. In that case, you could refresh the entire metadata by running report IDX_RESET_METADATA. However, use this report only if the above option does not work, since this report will reset your entire metadata.
    Thanks,
    Bhavish

  • "IDOC Metadata not Found" - Error with Business Connnector 4.7

I have been trying to get our 4.7 installation of Business Connector going after having all kinds of issues getting 3.5 to run as a service on Windows Server 2003.
I believe I am just about able to succesfully load the Idocs as I did in 3.5. However, when it gets to the inboundProcess step, I get an error saying "The IDOC Metadata for ORDERS05 is not available." I seem to be stuck at this point.
If anyone has any ideas on what I can do to get around this or fix this issue, I would really appreciate it. I am trying to load these IDOCS via ALE and I am getting this error just after the OutBoundProcess (ALE.java) step.
Thanks for any help you can give.

We are not able to generate the IDoc metadata from XI 3.0 through IDX2 for port/RFC destination pointing to SAP CRM 5.0 which runs on the Basis 7.0 Web application server.
Has anyone run into this issue?  We get the dialog box with information "I::000" Message no. 000.  The metadata is not generated at all.
We have no problem generating IDoc metadata for other SAP systems including 6.40 and 4.6C basis layers.  Is there something different with 7.0 Basis?
    Thanks,

    Hi Renjith,
Thanks for the suggestion.  We've already tried that out - the RFC call IDX_STRUCTURE_GET works from SE37 using the RFC destination that we have defined for the CRM system which is referenced in the port.  We can debug from the XI system into the CRM system and the data is returned correctly.  We can also generate the IDoc schema from the Integration Builder Repository.
However, we cannot generate the metadata from IDX2.  If we point the port in IDX1 to another RFC destination for a non Basis 7.0 system, the metadata generation works.  So it seems that something is strange regarding generating the IDoc metadata for Basis 7.0 systems.

  • Problem With Uploading IDOC Metadata using IDX2

    Hi Experts,
While i am uploading IDoc metadata using IDX2 it is showing
    "I::000" information.
Anybody please help me why i am getting this problem?

    Hi Bhuvan,
Basicall this problem arises when  user Id being used in the SM59 to trigger the IDoc's from the R3 system , i,e , the XI user id being used in SM59 of R3 does not have the authorizations to post the Idoc.
Note : 837595 describes the authorizations needed to post and Idoc. Make sure that the user id has the authorizations in this note.
Activate the authorization check in transaction ST01.
And also it may be due to insufficient roles for the user which ur using in RFC connection to SAP system.
Check with the  port in IDX1 whether u have configured corectly.

  • Refresh Idoc Metadata in PI 7.31 Java Only

    Hello experts,
We are facing issue to refresh the Idoc metadata every time when we change Idoc structure in ECC for Idoc outbound scenario.
We have imported the latest Idoc structure in ESR and assigned that to MM,OM and IFolw. Still in message monitoring we can see the old Idoc structure.
Is there anywhere else to import Idoc metadata like it used to be in Dual Stack idx2 ??
    Regards,
    Suman

    Hi Suman,
If you are new with Idoc in PI  you try with the sap.help documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/50/980951964146f1a7f189b411796bae/content.htm

  • IDOC ADAPTER , ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_METADATA Error

    Hi everyone!
XI have sent Idoc to SAP A5P.
But there is an error log,
    "IDOC_ADAPTER" ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_METADATA
    > Metadata EDISDEF for port SAPA5P, IDoc type ORDERS02 and CIM type ZORDERS2 not maintained
Kindly advise what is wrong with our configurations.
    Thank you very much!
    Fred

    hi,
Your error is IDOC metadata related
(probably incorrect entry in IDX1 - or RFC to R3 is ont working)
download your idoc in IDX2 to check it
Also check if you are using the right port in IDX1.
    else,
Goto ID and open the relevant Business system.
Goto --->Menu tab "Service" --->Adapter Specific Identifiers.
Check if the proper logical system details have provided.

  • Idoc metadata

    hi
why should we import idoc metadata while using idoc adapter and what do we mean by metadata.even in mapping idoc structure why we assign segment and begin to constant values and disable cntrol record field.
    regards
    raghu

    Hi Raghu,
    What is Metadata:
IDoc (Intermediate Document) metadata comprises structures for the corresponding IDoc types .This metadata is just a description of available structures
and fields.Using an RFC connection, metadata of this type can be either called directly at runtime or loaded to the Integration Server beforehand. Thus it can be loaded in two ways:
    1. During the runtime
    2. Before the actual message flow.
To find out what metadata has already been loaded, call the transaction Metadata Overview for IDoc Adapter (IDX2).The system displays a screen with the directory of all systems connected with the IDoc adapter (including a description) for which metadata has already been loaded. Choose Port Maintenance in IDoc Adapter () to call the corresponding transaction and to create additional ports.
    Why to Import:
To process an IDocs in the form of an IDOCXML
message, an IDoc’s metadata must be loaded into
the Integration Server so that SAP XI’s IDoc adapter can
change the native IDoc format into the XML representation.
All IDocs are created according to specific rules: This is the general structure (the record types) of every IDoc. Special rules affect the different IDoc types.
    Segment:
Segment is like a container which strores all administration information for technical processing, as well as the actual application data.of an IDOC.
    Fields :
A segment comprises segment fields as the smallest unit of the Idoc which contains the actual values and information.
    control record :
The control record is identical for all IDocs and contains the administration information, for example, sender, recipient and message. Note that the control record also contains the last processing status ( STATUS field).
If you disable the Apply Control Record Values from Payload indicator in the receiver IDoc adapter, the fields are filled from the system information not from the payload as:
    1. From XI sender service, configuration in Integration Directory, System Landscape Directory
    2. Constant LS
3 . From XI receiver service, configuration in Integration Directory, System Landscape Directory
If you enable the Apply Control Record Values from Payload indicator in the receiver IDoc adapter, the fields are filled from the IDoc-XML payload.
**Pls: Reward points if helpful **

    Jyoti

  • BCExeption: The IDOC metadata for null is not available in SID

    <h3>Hello Guys,</h3>
we need some information about the error message:
com.wm.pkg.sap.BCExeption: The IDOC metadata for null is not available in <SID>
We use a Business Connector 4.8 and the backend is an ECC 6.0, we have an inbound xml scenario with FTP.
We pick up the ORDRSP from the vendors ftp-server and we would like to drop it to our backend system.
We can read the xml file into a string, but not send to the backend system, we use following steps:
    - bytesToString
    - stringToDocument
    - documentToRecord
    - recordToIDOC
    - lockSession
    - createTID
    so far works perfekt
    - sendIDoc
    - releaseSession
On the step "sendIDoc" we see the described error message, but what is the message from the message?
    Any Ideas?
    Thank you and regards,
    Michael

    Hello Michal,
thank you for your quick answer!
In my opinion, i don't need any input for this service, because we pick up all data from the vendors ftp - server in a definied time interval.
All needed fields are available in the xml file. In the result tab is the IDocList filled correct, but no sending to the backend system because the error is displayed.
Is it a problem with my concept?
    Regards,
    Michael

  • Data Services 12.2.3.0 BODI-1112015 Adapter metadata import failed

    Hi Experts,
I am using Data Services 12.2.3.0.
I have an issue in importing functions through 'Adapter' type datastore into Data Services. I can open the datastore and see the list of functions available, but when I try to import them, I get the error BODI-1112015 Adapter metadata import failed.
The setup and the errors are as below.
The adapter datastore is setup as below.
I built a new keystore called clientkeystore.jks in the ..\bin.Then created the .CSR file, and then imported the signed chained (I believe it's chained certificate) certificate of the server hosting the wsdl into the keystore.
Thanks for the post http://scn.sap.com/thread/1589052 . After changing the metadata character set to utf-8, I can see a list of functions when I open this New_Datastore in Data Services. It proves that the setup for the datastore has no problem parsing the wsdl file and give me the list of functions in it.
However, the error appears when I try to import them.
    Error is:
Adapter metadata import failed. Error message: (BODI-1112015) Error parsing the <TheFunctionToBeImported> included in the XML sent by the adapter to represet a function <Error importing XML Schema from file <adapter_schema_in.xsd>:<XML parser failed: Error <Schema Representation Constraint: Namespace 'http://result.form.v81.api.keysurvey.com' is referenced without <import> declaration> at line <13>, char <46> in < < xsd:schema xmln:xsd=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmln:tns="http://result.form.v81.api.keystore.com" xmlns:diws="http://businessobjects.com/diwebservice" targetnamespace="http://www.businessobjects.com/diwebservice"><xsd:import namespace='http://v81.api.keysurvey.com' schemaLocation='C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Services\ext\webservice\FormResultManagemenetgetRespondentsgetRespondents0.xsd'/>
    <xsd: import namespace='http://result.form.v81.api.keysurvey.com' schemaLocation='C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Services\ext\webservice\FormResultManagemenetgetRespondentsgetRespondents2.xsd'/> ........
When comparing it with the wsdl file(as below), it is worth nothing that the schemaLocation is changed to a local directory under C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Services\ext\webservice  while it was not the case in wsdl. The schemaLocation is on the server.
I am wondering if the redirection from the server specified in the wsdl file to the local directory has caused this error. The error 'namespace is reference without <import>' is apparently wrong as the <import> is just there.
Or there is any other reason behind this.
I appreciate any adivce or question from you!

I have reached the exact same error as this post http://scn.sap.com/thread/3190403
    The error is
[Mon Jun 18 23:14:28 2012] [error] ..\..\src\core\deployment\conf_builder.c(876) Specifyingservices and modules directories using axis2.xml but path of the library directory is not present
[Mon Jun 18 23:14:28 2012] [error] ..\..\src\core\deployment\conf_builder.c(261) Processing transport senders failed, unable to continue
    [Mon Jun 18 23:14:28 2012] [error] ..\..\src\core\deployment\dep_engine.c(939) Populating Axis2 Configuration failed
    [Mon Jun 18 23:14:28 2012] [error] ..\..\src\core\deployment\conf_init.c(195) Loading deployment engine failed for client repository C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\ext\webservice-c\axis2.xml
As it is identified as an version problem, this issue is not going to be investigated any further.
As an alternative, can try to use Oracle 11g SOAP_API.sql.

  • IBooks Author / iTunes Producer Import Error

    Looking for some help....
I have now attempted 9 different imports of my iBook Textbook created with iBooks Author - all ended in Import Error.   I have scoured the forums and took some community members'  advice to:
Change all my video formats to iPhone / iPod 3gs .m4v instead of iPad .m4v (even though the documentation says that iPad .m4v should work)
Made sure there is a preview version of the iBook
Made sure all the Metadata is filled out
The ITMSP package validates successfully in Producer and gives me a green check mark on upload.  After watching the package status it goes from Uploading > Uploaded > Internal Processing > to Import Error ever single time.   This is beyond frustrating since there is no error log for me to review to have ANY idea what the error is.  Please advise!
This is going on over a week now of struggling with this and an entire week of work waisted.   I was told it will take about 10 days for the book to be reviewed to get placed in iTunes - BUT I CAN'T EVEN GET IT SUBMITTED!
    Please help!

I struggled with the same issue for a couple of days earlier this week.  My issue was definately related to vido, but not necessarily the format of the videos.  It was related to 2 things:
    1.  We had adjusted the Poster frame from the default to a selectable frame.
    2.  We had adjusted the start/stop of the video
I deleted the videos that had either of these settings changed and added them back into the book without any adjustments and the Import worked.  Unfortuantely, this took me 2 straight days of work to figure out since the error message doesn't tell you anything.
    Good luck.
