IE 9 (9.0.8112.16421) causing internal server error on sharepoint 2010 when searching ?
Hi,
We have a sharepoint enterprise installation. We have an exception when trying to search documents on sharepoint.
This can't be reproduce with chrome.
When I try to lookup the correlation ID given with an error
get-splogevent | where {$_Correlation -eq "7ee2bfaa-7ce4-4ac3-b60e-0532d82a42cb" }
I get no results
Fortunately, the error displays the hour it occured, ans the log is giving this information

Any idea ?

Hi!
I believe it is a problem regarding the preferred language for the user:
"Internal server error exception: System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter
name: The property RequestedLanguage cant not set to NULL "
Please refer to this thread (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/230896a4-a928-4b44-91a2-3e7f767b8b3f/internal-server-error-exception-on-search-results-page-when-no-language-is-set-in-browser?forum=sharepointgeneralprevious)
as I think it's related.
Cheers

This is JDeveloper 10.1.3.5.0 from patch p19170592_R12_GENERIC.zip
The OAF release is 12.2.4
JDEV_USER_HOME is set to C:\Olivier\R12\jdev1224\jdevhome\jdev
The .dbc file looks fine.
I connect successfully to database.
I tried to reinstall JDeveloper.
I performed many searches on MOS, OTN, Google, etc...
I tried to change the Startup Settings (Host Name, IP Address settings) of the Embedded OC4J Server Preferences.
I am stuck.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
OlivierHi Peddi,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked again the .dbc file.
I downloaded again the file from $INST_TOP/appl/fnd/12.0.0/secure to <JDEV_USER_HOME>\dbc_files\secure
This file worked fine for JDeveloper for 12.2.3.
I went again through "Oracle Application Framework Developer's Guide Release 12.2.4 July 2014" but could not find any part related to .dbc file having changed from previous release.
I tried to comment out the parameter APPS_JDBC_URL in .dbc as per MOS note "Troubleshooting JDeveloper setup for Oracle Applications (Doc ID 357218.1)"
But I still face the issue.
According to the note "Configuring JDeveloper For Use With Oracle Applications 11i and R12 (Doc ID 330236.1)", I have added the following debug parameters in the project properties:
-Djbo.debugoutput=console -Djbo.logging.trace.threshold=9 -Djbo.jdbc.driver.verbose=true -Djbo.jdbc.trace=true
It generated the following OC4J server detailed log showing more error messages (in red below):

Can anybody help me find a solution for this issue.
ThanksAfter making sure that all services are up and running, I had to deactive and activate the "SharePoint Server Site Search" web site collection feature. Then the search started working for the time being.
However, it throws the error again after 8 to 9 hours. This has been happening for last couple of weeks. I also came to know from my windows server team that they moved the AD from one place to another. Since then I am having this issue.
The log file has the following error:

New r12 Install, Linux, worked, now 500 Internal Server Error
I recently installed Oracle Enterprise Linux and Oracle 12.1.1 on my laptop to use the Vision instance. I went through all kinds of problems, but ended up getting the instillation to work. RapidWiz successfully completed, and I was able to log into Oracle E-Business Forms. I shut down my computer and when it restarted I launched the adstrtal.sh and tried to log in. I got an internal server error. I have tried searching the internet for all kinds of things, I have tried restarted my computer, Oracle, etc, and still no luck.
I would appreciate any help you can offer!

I have uploaded the log file here: [http://edhayes3.wordpress.com/files/2009/07/adconfig.doc|http://edhayes3.wordpress.com/files/2009/07/adconfig.doc]
This log was located in "/Oracle/inst/apps/VIS_localhost/admin/log" folder
The file extension was changed to a .doc instead of a .log.
I see that there are 2 other files in the very first Admin/log folder that are not in any others. My guess is whatever created these should be ran every time I initiate the instance? The files that are present in the first (date) folder that are not in the subsequent (dates) folders are "DependencyModeller.log" and "NetServiceHandler.log". After a reboot, what should I be executing to initiate the instance?
All I have been executing is the "/Oracle/inst/apps/VIS_localhost/admin/scripts/adstrtal.sh" script. -
When I try to redeem a 'gifted' album, I end up with a blank page with this message at the top:
An Internal Server Error Has Occurred.
When I try to "report a problem" the same page appears, even on a different computer.
When I try to "Report a Problem" in my account on iTunes, there is no field to type in my details.
I have tried to ring Apple, and they say they cannot support iTunes, and that all complaints have to go through the web site. HELP!!!!Shirley,
Unfortunately, this is the wrong forum for you. This forum is for those of us involved with Apple's iTunes U ("University"). iTunes U is a way for colleges and universities to post content within the iTunes Store. None of us here can help you resolve a money issue with the iTunes Store, must as we'd like to. Only Duncan works for Apple ... the rest of us work for colleges and universities all over the world and we have little control over your Apple account(s).
But, to be honest, I'd be pretty shocked that a call to Apple could not help you resolve this kind of problem. Compared to other tech companies, Apple is exceptional in its phone support. If it's helpful, this page:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/gift/
has a link at the bottom you can use to contact Apple directly about gift music problems. -
Customization of 500 internal server error
Hi,
I have a requirement for customizing the 500 Internal server error page ( the page when we gets Null pointer Expetion or etc).
Can you tell me how can we achieve this.. Note that we need to do this for webdynpro Java errors.
Thanks,
Raju BonagiriDear Raju,
I regret to inform you that this is not possible on 640/700. In general, this solution is available only for Business By Design, and most likely it'll be available only later for 7.30, but no plans are available currently. Perhaps it'll be downported to 7.20 but I cannot state this as an official statement either.
Officially this feature is not yet supported.
Default HTTP messages can be changed, but not the ones coming from the WD Runtime.
See the note for HTTP messages: Note: #795699 - Customizing default error messages for HTTP (from BC-JAS-WEB)
On WD Runtime you can switch off displaying the complete stack trace, but one cannot change it, see:
Note: #962319 - Detailed error messages with stack trace in Web Dynpro

Cf 10 500.0 Internal Server Error
I can't believe Adobe has the nerve to charge what they charge for ColdFusion, but they can't even make it install correctly on IIS 7.
How do we get past the 500.0 Internal Server error in IIS 7 when trying to hit the CF Admin page after install?@MonkeySaysWhat1,
The mandatory update thing is to patch a problem with Adobe's security certificate (this is not the fault of the ColdFusion development team but of the top-level Adobe security certificate process) which then allows you access to the rest of the ColdFusion 10 updates. Adobe rebuilt the installers already to integrate a previous mandatory update, but a new mandatory update came out after that.
And while it would be nice if Adobe reissued installers after each update comes out, that is not really feasible. They would have had to do that 15 times to date (counting 13 updates and two mandatory certificate updates). How would people keep track of which version of the installer they had? And if an update breaks a previously working build (which has happened), how could people revert back to a previous build to at least be functional until the broken update is fixed?
Anyway, now that you have installed the mandatory update, follow Anit's instructions to remove the IIS connector, and re-enable the internal port so you can access the CF Administrator using the built-in web server. Then apply the latest update (update 12 is the latest that is relevant to Windows as update 13 only fixed a Mac OSX issue). This will include a bunch of web connector fixes. Once update 12 is installed, run the Web Server Configuration tool to reconnect IIS.

Get ‘500 Internal Server Error’ during SIP INVITE - cause 44
Have you ever seen anything like this before? It usually works, but intermittently, we see calls get rejected. It somehow seems related to high loads on the router. We reduced the occurrences by changing our code to throttle the number of SIP INVITEs we send, but this doesn’t scale well. Once it occurs, the only way to clean it up is to do a shut/no shut on the voice-port associated to SIP INVITE.
Any suggestions on how we can proceed to debug this issue?

Timeout causes error 500 (internal server error)
Hello,
I am running Weblogic server 8.1.
Running a web application works ok initially, but -
After initially viewing any page, if no user activity happens for about 30 minutes, and then user clicks any link, the following error is shown:
Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
My guess is there is some timeout that is causing this.
I searched the code, server settings and documentation for any kind of "timeout" value.
No values were found in the code or server settings.
My web.xml or weblogic.xml did not have any entries for timeout.
I added a value for "session-timeout" in web.xml, which I made 65 minutes in web.xml, but still no change.
Still times out in 30 minutes.
Does anyone know what the issue could be?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Edited by: 833070 on Feb 2, 2011 7:23 AMFaisal,
Thanks,
I looked but there is no Exception / error seen in the logs.
I looked at mydomain.log, myserver.log, access.log and my own application logs.
None of them show an error.
The only error seen is by the user on the browser (after 30 minutes idle time), which I have mentioned earlier... -
IPhone Oracle Business Indicators causing 500 Internal Server Error
We are using the iPhone Oracle Business Indicators and we are connecting to our OBIEE Answers & Dashboards but the iPhone is causing the Presentation Server to crash.
Steps:
1. Logon to iPhone Oracle Business Indicators
2. Access Favorites menu and select one of the saved Favorite reports (the report has been created as a Favorite from the iPhone)
3. Following error is displayed both on iPhone and when accessing the Presentation Services from the browser:
500 Internal Server Error
Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response. Please consult the application log for details.
4. This is actually causing the Presentation Service to go down and we have to restart the service each time when accessing Favorite reports from iphone.
We have investigated the files created under the catalog directory _iphone and have noticed that when a Favorite report is created from the iphone, only the .atr file is created but not the xml file itself, which lead us to the conclusion that this be the cause of the BI Presentation Services to crash.
Has anyone experienced this problem? and if yes, how was it fixed?
Thank you,
VeronicaYou're getting the 500 Server Error because sawserver (presentation services) is crashing, as you say.
For background info see here: http://rnm1978.wordpress.com/2009/12/09/troubleshooting-presentation-services-analytics-connectivity/
You should check your sawserver.log file in $OracleBIData/log as this should record why sawserver is failing.
If it doesn't you could [increase the logging level of sawserver|http://rnm1978.wordpress.com/2009/07/23/sawserver-logging-configuration-logconfig-xml/] to examine what it's doing before crashing, and or you will have to raise a support request (SR) with Oracle. -

As2 receiver channel, SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error
Hi,
There is one scenario in our landscape, its running in production, Proxy to As2. The interface working fine for last 2 weeks, today its showing error in As2 receiver channel saying
Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: Fatal exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error # , SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error #
I have searched in forum, but couldnt get much idea on why this error encounters and how can we resolve it.
Kindly provide your inputs to help me resolve this.
Thanks,
RuchiHi Ruchi,
500 means the requested server does not understand the request (the requested service is unknown). The reason is obvisiously outside of PI. You have to contact the 3rd party owner and ask why the system is refusing the request instead of responsing like before.

Udo
