Hi - I need help regarding my search engine
My IE has been hijaked by Istart.surf website and I am not able to remove it by any method.
I have used all tool and did lots of R&D on google but no result.

How do i block xrated ads while surfing? i need to be kid friendly

I look up recent tv shows and movies and a lot of them are for my 7yr old. and on either side of the screen are pornographic ads that are videos and there's no way to make them go away, and without clicking on them a full screen ad will be popped up in the background. Please advise on how I can get rid of these ads. Thank you very much

Accidentally i have blocked all cookies while surfing through firefox to my gmail account. Though i can open gmail account through internet explore I fail to do the same through firefox. Somebody help

I also recently had that problem, I was person number 5, I just uninstalled firefox and when it asked me if I wanted to save my preferences (ie. bookmarks history cookies...) I said no and then installed it again from IE. Everything is fine now I just set my setting again and made sure that I only allowed cookies for the session and that learned the problem right up. Hope that helps.

Have you tried "Empty Cache" under the Safari menu for the Yahoo problem?
What have you done to troubleshoot if anything, so we don't recommend what you have done...:)
Quit Safari,
Click on the Finder's Icon in the Dock in the Finders window's sidebar, click on the Home icon, go to....
Home~/Library/Cookies folder/cookies.plist'
Home~/Library/Cache folder/Safari cache
Move both the .plist file & safari cache folder to the trash. Do not empty the trash, unless you know this works.
Try Yahoo & iTunes store.
Any difference?

How to automatically allow blocked plug-in in Internet Explorer

I'm using an 'easy rotator' slideshow plug in on the home page of my site i'm building which works fine in chrome but gets blocked when I preview it in Internet Explorer unless i click 'Allow blocked content'. Is there anyway to bypass this block and have it apppear automatically to viewers as it does in chrome?

In a word... No. It's an end user setting to allow ActiveX and javascript content.
Let's say for a moment that you COULD disable the script warning in IE with code in your page... An unsuspecting surfer using IE hits your site and the warning is disabled without their knowledge or consent. THEN they accidentally stumble onto a phishing site, and all of their business banking information is sent to an ID thief and they're cleaned out. It may take a while to trace the cause but if they do and discover that your page was the source... guess who's liable for that because of a slideshow?

My pop-up blocker is not working on ANY of the pop-up ads the come up (only in Safari, not Chrome of Firefox).

I have my settings on block pop-up ads and, stil, the blocker is not working on ANY ads. It used to work just fine. Has anyone else had this specific problem, and how can I fix this issue? Please and thank you!

Internet(1) + phone talk(2) = only (1) or (2)!

SO my operator say, that iphone is a B class phone and its work only with voice only with internet... and dont say about 3g work graet with voice and internet..

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
*do not clear the Site Preferences
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
If you have software like Advanced SystemCare (Surfing Protection feature) that might reset some files to older versions to protect these files against changes then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Block pop-up ads

In spite of the fact that "Block Pop-up Windows" is checked in my Safari Preferences, I have increasingly been getting a half-dozen or ads so every time I go out on the Internet.

Download the latest version of Firefox. Install Adblock, and install NoScript, which are ad-ons designed for Firefox, available on the Firefox website. You will be amazed at what happens as you surf. In my machine, I have Safari, Opera, iCab, Firefox, Camino, and SeaMonkey. You can use any one at time, or even have two or more open and on the net at once. Don't be afraid to try them one and all. Firefox is a good alternative to Safari, once you set it up right, I doubt you will use Safari anymore. Have fun. P.S., if you REALLY want to get rid of all junk, you can download Wannabe.PPC.1.0b14, which will run in Classic mode. I absolutely positively guarantee 100% no pop-up windows ever. But I don't think you will want to work with that browser, it's a very very basic text browser.

Blocking a computer in wireless network

I have a wireless network in my restaurant so all the guest can surf the net for free.
I also have my business desktop computer that uses the same internet access with wire.
how can I block the wireless users from this computer, so it's invisible and not accessible to them ?

Sorry, but the suggestion posted by Ricewind is not correct. Setting the IP of the second (wired) router to 192.168.1.2 will place it on the same subnet as the wireless router, and will provide no security between the wireless and wired router.
Please connect your system the way I described in my previous post.
The only setting that is required is to set the "Local IP address" of the wired router to 192.168.2.1 . Also, you must make sure that a LAN port on the wireless router is connected to the Internet port of the wired router.
Just as the Internet port of your router protects you from hackers on the Internet, so too will the Internet port of the wired router protect you from wireless hackers at your business. The Internet port is designed to ignore all unrequested data that arrives at the port, making it very hard for any hacker to break in.
Even in the two router setup, it is probably best, in the wireless router, to set "AP isolation" to "enabled". This assumes that you will not be connecting a printer to the wireless router for your customers to use. By setting "AP isolation" to "enabled", it will help protect your customers from hacking into each other's computers.

Internet Sharing Blocking MSN

I have a mac mini on my desk which is connected to internet with an ethernet cable, and I also have iBook G4. I use the airport on the mac mini and set up internet sharing to get online with the iBook. I can surf on websites, such as I am writing this on my laptop, but I cannot access for instance MSN, and some other services from here, but I can get to them on the mac mini. Is internet sharing blocking access to other ports or what's going on?

Yes, I managed to connect if I turn of the firewall. There are no messages in console.log. Obviously the firewall is blocking everything but http traffic through the mac mini.

1.To trigger a mail ,if order has been block due to invalid license
2. If master data related to license (MAEX-ALNUM and MAEX-EMGBR ) is maintained in the materail master then the license should be determined.
3. If license is not determined then the email should be triggered while saving the order.

How do I stop or block caches?

I am now on Mountanin Lion.
I have been able to block cookies by using the Safari preferences to do this. However I still get hundreds of "Caches" from God only knows what websites that still appear in Safari until I remove them.
I don't trust caches because I think they are cookies in disguise gathering data until I slip up and turn off the cookie blocker.
What are they? How can I block caches as I do for cookies? Why isn't there a "caches blocker" as is done with cookies?
Also, the "Do Not Track" website thing doesn't appear to have any effect on either cookies or caches.
Suggestions or edification welcomed.

I have not blocked any file (or done anything). I just find it odd that Safari allows me to block cookies but it does not allow me to block the hundreds of caches that pop up from hundreds of websites each time I surf the web.
No one can even tell me what information is in these "caches".

Want to block tracking for speed (page loading) more than privacy. Will it help? What are appropriate addons?

When loading pages, new sites off of Google new for instance, I notice that the page takes a very long time to load while analytics load for google, facebook, advertisers, etc, in the bottom left of the screen. It seems to have gotten much much worse in the last couple of years. The pages load MUCH faster with javascript disabled. But too many other web functions require javascripting to leave it off permanently.
Would a Firefox add-on help speed things up a bit by blocking tracking/analytics? Would it disrupt too much other content/service?

It is a royal pain to use until you get it setup for all your commonly visited website - there's a steep learning curve with NoScript, but I wouldn't surf without it.
If you are not already blocking advertisements, you might want to consider AdblockPlus and a good filterset.

I keep a default version of Firefox installed to refer to so I don't forget what the average user has to deal with, when I am doing "support". It really irks me when web page loading is delayed while waiting for a a slow "ad server" to decide which advertisement it is going to load for me for that web page visit.
