IE Browser no Supporting JSP

Hello Experts,
I have Developed a project using jsp as front end a nd mysql as database with tomcat as web server
My project is running efficiently in
mozilla firefox
but it is not working in Internet Explorer
when the pure jsp file has to executed by taking inputs from previous page it is showing a blank page
but its working fine in mozilla
any suggestions please.........

This is not the right forum for this question. It should be on the JSP forum.
Do you use javascript? if so it's probably the culprit. All my JSP and JSF applications run fine in both Mozilla and IE, but javascript and CSS both suffer from IE not supporting them properly.
Can you reduce your problem to a simple example (SSCCE) that fails and then put it up somewhere that we can look at or post the code?

  • Browser that supports JSP

Does the Personal Web Server 4.0 support code jsp?
if the answer is no, then what browser does support it?
Please tell me, as soon as possible

PWS 4.0 is a web server, not a browser. All browsers support jsp since the web server will run the jsp page and generate html for the browser to view. You can look at a product called JRun to see if it provides an ISAPI extension for running servlets & JSP pages. If it supports this, you can JSP pages on PWS.

    Hi,
Please try to reset the Internet Explorer settings or open Internet Explorer in In-Private browsing and then check if this issue occurs.
If the issue persists, please try to access SharePoint in another computer with Office 2013 and then check if this issue occurs. Or repair Office and restart your server.
Here is a blog about the same issue for you to take a look at:

    1. There is no reliable way of guessing the encoding of a file without that information. Thats why XML for example has very strict rules wrt. it's encoding (short form: use UTF-8 or UTF-16, if you use anything else, you'll have to specify it)
    2. you might be able to make an educated guess if the possible range of encodings is limited, but it will probably never be 100% certain
    3. The HTML file might have a header entry "<meta http-equiv..." that tells you about it's encoding. You could try to read the start of the file and see if you find that, then if you found it re-read the entire file.

  • I8.0 Browser Not Supported

Is it possible to catch exception (rather than system dump 'Sorry program/browser not supported" )gracefully when incompatible browser [for e.g IE 8.0] is used for calling Web Dynpro ABAP application?
    thanks,
    Sanketh

I don't believe that this can be caught becuase the error is thrown very early in the framework startup and your particular application hasn't even been started yet.
You can build custom error messages and attach them to the SICF node, but this isn't going to let you by pass the error.
The offical SAP response (from note 1294877) is that you can use the IE8 blocker toolkit provided by Microsoft to keep users from installing IE8.
Even if you could bypass the error or change the client string identification; IE8 isn't supported and you could run into problems and inconsistencies in the rendering.

  • Does WL 9 support JSP 2.1?

    Hi,
I am writing a web application using Apache's MyFaces. I'm told to use MyFaces 1.2.4 my servlet container must support JSP 2.1 and Servlet 2.5 implementations. Does WebLogic 9.2.2 (Solaris 9), the server I'm running, support these?
    Thanks, - Dave

    Hi Dave,
WLS 9.2.2 Supports the following :-
    J2EE Servlet 2.4, 2.3, and 2.2
    J2EE JSP 2.0, 1.2, and 1.1

  • Is OAS 4.0.8 supports JSPs?

Hi We have ordered for Oracle Application Server 4.0.8. But website says JSPs in future versions.
I have already finished my project developed using JSPs. Now it is time to move my project to production.
Please let know whether OAS 4.0.8 supports JSPs or not. I can cancel my order if it doesn't support JSPs.
    Thanks in advance,
    Naidu
    [email protected]

Officially (as of version 4.0.8.1) no, but unofficially yes. There is a beta JSP patch for OAS 4.0.8.1 that you can download at www.olab.com, which creates a JSPServlet application and uses that servlet to handle JSP requests. As far as I know it is very robust and of production quality, although it has not been officially rolled out yet. You need to get UID/PWD for the download area from the JSP Team.

  • Running Firefox 10.0.2, cannot add new search engines from Mycroft Project. Error message: "you will need a browser which supports opensearch to install this plugin" Please help with steps on how to fix this issue in Firefox, thank you

Can't add new search engines from Mycroft Project in FF 10.0.2. Error message states: "you will need a browser which supports opensearch to install this plugin"

    You're welcome.
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
*Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • View Wiki and Webcal on iPhone - Browser not supported

As the title suggests, I would like to use the wiki and webcal on an iphone.  Ideally, I would like to turn off the browser tests the server does so it just serves the page to an iphone just as it would to any other window.
FWIW, in an android phone, the wiki services give a "browser not supported notice" but still serves the page like a regular page, and it works fine.
I have many users, so a server side change would be better than trying to get all of my users to use an emulated browser.

What do you mean by "When I do a search on my browser, I get a message that it is not supported and the message suggests to use FIREFOX"?
    Where are you searching?
You're right, FireFox cannot be used, but your 8520 browser can emulate FF.
    Tell me more.

  • Netflix & Amazon-Mac & Browser Not Supported Issues

Hello! I am having issues with both Netflix and Amazon's "Search Inside" with my MacBook Pro. I have all the lastest OS (10.7.2), browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) and according to their (Netflix and Amazon) requirements everything is fine. I even have Silverlight (which I couldn't download from Microsoft because it kept saying "browser not supported.").
It can't be a coincidence that I am having the same exact issue on all three browsers on these two sites.
What could the connection possibly be? I am absolutely stumped!
    Thanks for the help!

Hi there, I meant that I was getting similar issues with both Netflix AND Amazon...separately.
That said, I figured it out. It was my virus protection. Apparently Netflix and Amazon's "Look Inside" don't like it. I should have figured out that the virus protection s/w was the issue. Netflix suggested it and they were correct.
Yeah, yeah, I know... Macs don't need virus protection. After some of the security issues that have been going on, I say 'better safe, than sorry." ;-)
Thanks for the response and help!

  • Smart wi-fi browser not supported error by Linksys

Linksys seems to have created a doozy of an issue with this "browser not supported error" they keep displaying.  Its as if head office is oblivious to this.
I am running IE 11 with all the updates applied and it gives the error.  I downloaded firefox and it gives the same error.  I downloaded Maxthon cloud browser most recent version and it does not work except when you log in with your cloud browser ID.
I have the latest version of Java  51 and cookies are enabled.
The strange thing about the Maxthon experience was when I logged out it continued to work.  but when I went to another page and came back it stopped working.
There is something screwy in the linksys firmware here.  they should have a bypass for this not so smart thing.  Its really not worth the aggravation.  Can anyone pinpoint where the issue is with this thing please?

    Have you tried this?
-start with a turned off/powered down router
-turn on your PC and clear your browser cache with the router OFF
-prior to powering up the router... remove the WAN internet cable connecting the router to the cable modem or DSL unit.
    -power on the router
-navigate to the correct ip address (probably 192.168.1.1 if there were no other routers in your network)
-now attempt to log in using the ACCESS ROUTER panel
-from now on it- local login should display as the main log in window with the smart wifi option in a panel below instead of the reverse which was the factory default.
-reconnect your wan cable and use as always.
-now the expectation is that you will always be able to log in through the ACCESS ROUTER panel locally.
Let me know if it works for you.

  • Microsoft Adcenter says browser not supported

Microsoft Adcenter says browser not supported and tells me to enable cookies and java yet these are enabled

    Hello Siborg.
Can you provide me with a link for this site? You may need to contact Microsoft about this, though.
Or you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.

  • Saying "browser not supported" - what to do?

Saying "browser not supported"  - what to do?

    A couple of options:
Turn on the Developer menu. You can do this with a tool like iTweax 2.3 and try changing the user agent.
    Download and use Firefox instead.

  • RDWEB IE11 Browser not supported

I have 2008R2 with RDS. I have a couple Apps on it, and almost everything is fine, except that IE11 users are getting this error:
    Browser Not Supported
This Web browser is not supported by RD Web Access. RD Web Access requires Internet "Explorer 6.0 or later.
You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer from the
    Windows Update Web site. "
IE 11 is certainly later than 6.0.
I am not seeing anything in the forums, is there a work-around on either the server or client side?
    Thx!

Well, I think around Y2K, this would have been at the top of everyone's mind.  Because now, in 2014 this is essentially the same kind of problem.  Gollygosh, we never thought IE would go past 9.....
(I am kind of surprised it did too... however fairly certain V.11 will be the death of IE.  Unfortunately, most users want to be the race car driver, not the mechanic so fussing with the 'strings' ain't gonna happen, the will just load Chrome or Firefox
    and it will just work.
"Its an easy fix with changing the string function. When this was written I dont think anyone thought IE would be > then 10 any time soon."

  • How iPlanet web server support JSP?

We have a web server iPlanet. Before, all our web pages are HTML, but now we are thinking to design dynamic web pages to fit our need. We are thinking to use JSP with the help of dreamweaver ultra dev. How iPlanet support JSP? How to set up the configuration in order to run JSP pages from iPlanet?
Please give me some detailed info.
    Thank you in advance!

I would recommend that you talk to iPlanet and see if your service even supports JSP. If not, then you'll need to find another service that supports JSP and servlets.
