IE can't show slide show on one Win200 sys, but works fine on another

As the happy owner of a new MacBook Pro, I spun up a simple website through iWeb. I run my own Apache server on a Redhat system so I ported the test site to that and set up the permissions as necessary.
With Safari I can visit the site and when I click on a picture up it pops in a new window as a slide show - ok, cool.
When I visit the site again on my primary Windows 2000 workstation running IE 6 with the latest patch files (6.2800.1106) I can load the basic page, but when I click on any image all I get is the slideshow window with the slideshow appearing as a silver bar at the top of the screen. A tiny icon is in the middle and teh left and right arrows are on the Right. This is not cool.
When I visit the site yet again on an HP laptop running Windows 2000 with a version of IE that appears nearly the same (6.2800.1106CO) I can load teh basic page and when I click on an image I get a functional slideshow - quite similar to what I see in Safari.
Comparing Internet Options / Advanced between the Desktop and the Laptop most things are the same, but the Desktop does have a section for "Microsoft VM" that the laptop does not.
No idea why this problem is occuring, but would really appreciate some help in resolving it.
Both systems are up to date regarding patch files and virus definitions and both report as healthy.
Never seen this sort of errant behavior before - hopeing that someone has a good idea as to the cause and solution.
More info might help - but I will save a dump of all sorts of info as I really have no idea where to start and what might be helpful.

Hmm - I just booted a Toshiba laptop that is running the same version of Win2000 as the desktop system - it too has Microsoft VM showing in it's listing.
However it shows the slide show just as it should.
No quarral that it is indeed a Microsoft issue - and more specifically an IE issue. I did download and replace all files for IE 6 service pack 1 - but still this glitch remains.
I will reserach how to yank MS VM, but it may well be an integral part of my version of MS 2000. But even with it present there is something that is clearly not right - and comparing the options under Security and Advanced is not showing an obvious difference in options.

Sometimes it is not that measure which is causing problem, their are chances that due to some other measure you are unable to see the score or status.
Can you see the score of that particular KPI in the KPI detail view. ?
To test , try to put all same measures and see if all the score is coming.

The speed may have been ok at that time and is too inconsistent/too slow overall. interference may have proven to be more of an issue since as well. If using public DNS that will provide Intermittant results
I'm sure using a hotspot would be fine but it depends on your viewing habits. An HD movie is around 4-5GB. It would also be subject to speed. requirements so best to test to see how it compares.
You would have to check with your Carrier if hotspot it's enabled then just to into your settings and toggle it ON

You should be able to log out of iCloud on your Mac and then log in with the ID used on your other devices.

How do I configure the AX to connect to the hub's wireless network? It will only scan one base station Airport Express at a time in the Airport Utility. I think what I am trying to do is use the hub as a router to the two AX's. Is there a specific way to set this up?

I have a BT Infinity router plugged into the Time Capsule, not sure where the radio settings are?
They are able to use the network settings of the TC i.e. they can connect to the internet via the wifi through the TC but when they try and connect to the AirPort Disk this is where it is not allowing a connection.
I don;t have the drive shared out at all at the moment, is this necessary? How do I do this if so?

This is more about your modem then anything. Sometimes you'll need to unplug and plug back in your modem. Consider it a glitch from the ISP or just the modem in general.

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is ituens purchases. The ipod is not a backup device.

I found a solution!
Perhaps this is just temporary, but I have my display up and working again.
Although the symptoms are different were a bit different, the solution here worked:

As I was able to connect to my HD via an external monitor, in the finder, I went to:
1. Macintosh HD --> System --> Library --> Extensions
2. From there I moved all of the files that started with ADM and ATI (19 in total for me) to a folder on my desktop. (You will need to enter your admin password for this)
3. Next was a restart.
4. Then my display started working again.
5. After that, I transferred the files back into my Extensions folder.
6. I then did another restart with my fingers crossed and breath held. It worked.
Also... During the last few days of trying to find a fix, I restored a Mavericks backup to my computer away from Yosemite.
I'm very sure this problem occurred when I put my MBP to sleep, disconnected the power in its sleep, while something was connected to a USB port and unplugging the USB device (for me an iPhone charger) while the MBP was closed.
I hope this helps the next person.

Have two users in Windows Vista SP2 - one is set as administrator one as just a user. When logged in as Administrator- PW protected (or-if I open FF 9 to run as administrator ) [Flash Player 11.1.102.55 installed ] videos work fine. When logged in as Standard Uuser, videos do not play.

IPod not showing up at all on Mac but works fine on Windows?

I've been searching for an answer on these discussion boards for hours and have not yet found any situation that was quite like mine and I'm getting a bit frazzled and worried.
I have a 120GB iPod classic, which I've used for two years with an ACER laptop and it works perfectly. Two months ago, I switched to a Macbook Pro and synced my iPod with it; again everything worked fine. My iPod was synced with the Mac and all the new music had been transferred.
Today, I've been trying to connect my iPod to my Mac but nothing happens. It only charges (and I can't even be sure that it IS charging because the charging green sign does not show up on the iPod). It does not show up in Finder, or in the iTunes source list; it does not sync. I've reset it a billion times, restarted my mac, switched USB cords and USB ports, even downloaded and installed every software update imaginable but nothing is working.
If I leave the iPod connected to the Mac for a while, something even more alarming happens. It connects for around 3 seconds, and then ejects itself repeatedly. It's like watching someone go insane.
Naturally, I freaked out and tried to connect the iPod to a PC and it is working perfectly on the PC. Please, someone help. I have no idea what's going on.
