IE Pluggin question ... problem or not?
In my employment we utilize a pre-packaged product that we can and sometimes do customize to our needs, as well as add additions to. This package is available in both traditional client/server and thin-client (web-browser) server form. At this time, we use the traditional C/S product, but will be going to the web based version in the future of necessity. The Traditional C/S is modeled around Oracle forms. The web-based product somehow turns these forms into Java Applets (I don't know the mechanics).
Other institutions who also utilize this same product, and who are using the web-based version are saying that the Sun IE plugin is not compatible with the web-based product, and have using IE in 'Native mode' (MS JVM).
Ok, snore ... sorry for all that, but anyway, here's the question ...
I perceive that this will be a BIG problem:
1. Now, for any other web-based apps requiring the Sun JVM plugin,
2. Later, in case the MS JVM is either:
a) Not upgraded
b) Discontinued entirely.
Thus far my web experiences is in PL/SQL packages for dynamic web pages and Java Applets only.
So I would appreciate the opinions of those of you more experienced in this technology if you'd care to offer it. Thanks,

So they can't use the Java plugin, and they require the MS JVM? I'm not sure I've seen an applet that wouldn't work in the plugin if it works in the MS JVM, but maybe.
But IE6 is the only current browser version with a built-in JVM, that I'm aware of. Not counting the few people that might still use Netscape 4.x. And it is my understanding that as of the next IE release, that JVM will go away. It's just as well, as the last Netscape and IE JVMs only are equivalent with Java 1.1.4, and both have some bugs which will never be fixed anyway. So I would say it's high time to make things work for the Java plugin or drop applets altogether.

<Email Edited by Host>As these are public forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support, I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post - it's not a good idea to post it unless you like spam email.
The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account - a rescue email address is not the same as an alternate/secondary email address, they are different addresses/settings on an account.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When the message arrives, the message tone sound that many times. How this problem can be solved? I installed the new version, but the problem is not resolved, the future is to be taken into account in the new version of this?
I'm not sure I understand the question, is the message tone going more then once?
Turn off repeat message alert here:
settings > notifications > messages > repeat alert > never
Some people have found this does not stop the repeat miessage tone,
if you are one of those then I suggest you contact Apple:

Questions on Metalink note 392673.1 (bug 5458753)
I have a few questions on Metalink note 392673.1. This note states that if two schema have objects with similar names and these two schema issue identical statements, it is possible that the statement will run against the wrong schema's object if "a cursor gets reloaded in a certain manner".
Does anyone know any more details? What manner of reloading? Will synonyms prevent the problem? Is there a test case?
Also, the note states that it applies to versions 10.1.0.2 to 10.2.0.3, while the bug claims that it is fixed in 10.2.0.3. Is 10.2.0.3 affected or not?

It seems that bug is solved in 10.2.0.3 patchset, and interim patch for 10.2.0.2.
Anyway, if you have any question on metalink note, you might have more chance to get a valid answer by asking it into metalink forum, or send an email to the author of the note.

In my iPad 2 with IO6 today I can not send emails from my gmail account, they go to the outbox directly...why? How can i solve this problem? ..I restarted the IPad but the problem was not solved. Please help.

1. What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue. Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.
Try:
Backup your computer and iOS devices before doing anything else:

I assumed this would help my problem with not being able to open apps like Preview or TextEdit since I installed Mountain Lion. Instead, first I'm prompted to enter a password, then once I do that, I get an error box telling me the Library needs repairing. So I click on Repair, and once again I'm prompted for a password, which I enter, then the same error box opens, and so it goes. Can anyone help me with this problem? I'd greatly appreciate it.
ThorBack up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

Step 2 (optional)
Step 1 should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary, and if everything is working as expected after step 1.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:

Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:

Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.

Every time I open a pdf file which includes a javascript, a dialogue box pops up. I have a question why 'Do not show this message again' is not working even I checked on the checkbox. It should block the dialogue next time when I open the same pdf file but not working. What is the matter and how can I deal with it?
I am trying it on Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.2.1. Tried to fix Hex code, and also tried 'edit-preference-trust manager'. I focusing on Adobe registries but still couldn't fix the problem.

have a question I do not use mail in my computer I use yahoo and I have all these emails and selected all and then delete then delete trash and they always come back how do I stop these old email in apple mail? I never send anything from there but I have the same email in yahoo but delete them and they still show up in apple mail from day one how do I get rid of these once and for all.Please help

1 - Post in Yahoo's Mail forums and/or contact their tech support.
2 - Post in Gmails forums and/or contact their tech support.

I just submitted Questions/Problems and the Answers were useless. I had already said that I checked my cables and USB Cords. And of course I had already tried to print out a REPORT.
I gave a long explanation of the situation within the past 2 hours and th ePhD responded. May I please have a more detailed response. I have all HP Products and frankly am getting frustrated with the lack of detail or genuine interest in my questions/problems as indicated in the reply!!!

Nobody here has any clue what the error message is either, if you don't share it with us. You might have a problem with the iTunes library on the PC and that would have nothing to do with the "Apple devices" that will not accept the music when trying to sync with iTunes.
Lastly, we are not Apple employees and while we really would like to help you, we don't care if you ever buy another song from iTunes, Amazon, or Songs 'r Us. So that threat gives you no leverage here. -
Security code to ask question on eBay not accepted
When I type in security code number to ask a seller a question(to send) I get error message"please correct info(code) over and over(I put correct code number each time. Ebay tech support is claiming that it may be my browser(Mozilla) that is causing the problem of not accepting the CORRECT security code and false message that I have entered it incorrectly. It's eBay's system. How can my browser(mozilla) effect eBay's own system of accepting a security code? Whom does the problem lie with? ***note! It worked using Internet explorer as my browser. Maybe eBay is right. But I want to use Mozilla. How can we fix this?

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.

In almost everythread you have startedyou ask people to post their code solving the problem you are asking about. I have yet to see a single piece of code, or even a screen shot of any code that you have written. It is clear that English is not your primary language and it may be difficult to clearly express what you are trying to ask. Regardless, samples of what you have tried will go a long way to show that you are indeed putting effort into these problems and not simply asking for someone to do the work for you. Your original question in this post is not very clear about what you are even trying to accomplish. Therefore it is very difficult to even begin to offer any suggestions. All I am trying to say is that you will get more help when you show that you are trying different things and need some assistance with a particular issue. If you are posting this as a thought problem and challenge to see what types of solutions are possible than say that. I got the impression that you are trying to implement this problem and seeking someone to post the solution for you. If this is incorrect then I apologize.

When I tried to open my LinkedIn-profile it does not connect me anymore to my profile. I cannot login with my e-mailaddress and password. LinkedIn does not recognize that I have an account. When I try the same with Explorer this problem does not occur and I can access my profile without any problem.
GO to appleid.apple.com, click on manage my account and click on security. Answer your security questions to be able to edit your rescue email. If you forget the answers to your security questions, call apple support and request to be connected to a senior adviser or security who can reset your rescue email

I´ve tried to understand if I have a problem or not with my Nokia 5000. I´ve tried to set the screensaver with the analogic clock, I´ve set the timer to 10 seconds, but after the 10 seconds the display shut it off, I went to the suspend mode and deactivate, but still nothing. After the 10 seconds it shut down the display. My question is, it is normal or not?
