IE Rendering Blank Pages

We just migrated our site from a single CF Standard server to
a CF 7 Clustered and IIS 6 Load Balanced environment. Most
everything is running smoothly except for some odd behavior we're
seeing out of Internet Explorer. Every now and then, not always,
but often enough to flood us with tech support calls, IE will
render a completely blank page. No errors, CF, JS, or
otherwise...just a white screen. Clicking refresh will then load
the page normally. Ideas?
Facts:
-Reproduced in IE 6 and 7 beta
-Does NOT occur in Firefox
-Viewing the IE source code of the blank screen shows all the
code of the page up to the first CFINCLUDE statemen, then nothing.
There is no CFABORT or anything on the page and, I say again,
refresh the page then works.
- It occurs sometimes when users click links, pages load via
META refresh, access the site from a bookmark, etc...
Ideas?

I am experiencing the same issue. I spent 45 minutes within AppleCare, but they were unable to provide me a solution. I am able to login using Firefox and on my iPhone.

Figured it out. It had nothing to do with the software levels of Safari or Adobe Acrobat. Here's the fix:
Open Finder/Applications
Search "Internet Plug-Ins"
Move any Adobe plug-ins to the trash
Quit Safari
Launch Safari
Your pdf document should now render in Print Preview and print properly.

Rendering a blank page not working for multiple xdp's in assembler

we are trying to append different .xdp's witht he assembler service to get the resultant .pdf
Main xdp :docin.xdp
2nd .xdp : doci2n.xdp
there are multiple xdp's that would be combined together with the ddx,
the main xdp (pdf from the main .xdp) should always end with an even page, i have a blank page that fires up when the pdf ends with an odd number , when tested just the main xdp with the assembler service it works fine (it ends with even page)
but when other xdp's are sent with the main xdp in the assembler, the assembler prints the .pdf from the second .xdp on the even page (which is supposed to be blank- with the incorporated logic in the main .xdp), is there a way that the .pdf from main xdp (docin.xdp) can end with even pages and the .pdf from other .xdp(doci2n.xdp) can start on an odd page.

CF rendering a blank page

Help! I have a CF app that runs just fine on my local
machine. When I prop everything to my server for testing,
sometimes, when I go to a page, then hit submit to post to another
page, the 2nd page does not render at all. The page is COMPLETELY
blank! Then, if I simply hit refresh, the whole page magically
appears (without any errors). This only happens on my testing
server. Never happens locally. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!
When I do a view source on the blank page, the only things
there are:
DOCTYPE tag
<html> tag
<head> tag
<meta> tag
<title> ... </title> tags
</head> tag
<body> tag
<link> tag
</body> tag
</html> tag
In IE, the page appears completely blank.

CF 8 not rendering page, displays a blank page

Okay I have something that started to happen today and it
seems others have seen it happening on IE. I try to go to a page on
our site it doesn't display anything, just a blank page. If you hit
refresh it works fine and continues to work as it should until you
close the browser. If you close the browser and try to access the
page again you will get a blank screen, refresh fixes it. Nothing
in the code or on the server has changed since yesterday. But we
have had similar reports of this happening to users hitting a
submit button and getting a blank screen. This however is the first
time I have been able to replicate the issue. I have tried this
issue on IE, Firefox, and Flock and all give the same issue. Also
there are no errors and any log files. Anyone know what may be
causing this???

We resolved our problem by adding memory to our server. We
had a number of strange problems including the one noted above that
were only resolved by restarting CF services regularly. The
problems all went away after we noticed our server's physical
memory was insufficient and increased it substantially. The
application we have running on this server is pretty memory
intensive (storing a lot of very large queries in APPLICATION scope
variables).

Libwebkit 1.2.4 bug rendering some pages as blank? [SOLVED]

I searched around the forum and saw nothing, so I'm curious. Since the libwebkit upgrade to 1.2.4, I'm seeing multiple pages where the first time that I go to them there's nothing but a blank page (bugs.archlinux.org and gmail for instance). If I refresh the page, it appears. Since I use vimprobable2, I thought that I'd try Midori to see if it still does it. It does. I tried downgrading to the version in extra. Same problem. I rebuilt it. Same problem. I went to the webkit bug tracker and there's nothing similar. Are any of you seeing this or should I be looking somewhere else?

Since i upgraded to libsoup 2.32.0, i also get blank pages that i need to refresh manually with midori.
I did catch one instance with tcpdump and it turns out that what happened, in this specific case, seems to be this:
libsoup tries to send a GET request through a connection that has seen no traffic since 4mins or so (but is still theorically alive, i.e no "Connection: close" from either end or any other indication that the connection is dead);
the other end does not like this and answer with a tcp reset (it SHOULD NOT, but there are reasons/excuses for this behaviour).
then, libsoup gives up instead of doing what it MUST[1], that is: automatically try to open a new connection to send the failed request.
In that case the remote end was 66.249.92.104, which is www. google. com as resolved by the local isp. And, indeed, i see a lot of blank pages with my google searches, lately.
[1] actually, i am not absolutely certain whose responsability it is to retry sending the request in a new connection (libsoup/webkit/midori?). But i am pretty sure it's not that of the human operator.

Issues after upgrading to SP2 mm: Blank page first page.

Hello, ever since upgrading to mm sp2 on .net 2008 I been having an issue. I created a new project and everything done by the books. When I run the report through the browser everything initially seems normal, it asks for input parameters then login info. When the report is ready to be displayed, the page is blank but has all the Crystal toolbars and such. If i were to perform an action like hit the zoom button, the report will magically be displayed! It seems the viewer has an issue initially rendering the report until I hit something on the toolbar like the zoom button. I just zoom in 100% and the report displays! Anyone have this issue and know how to resolve it?
If I were to export this blank page to PDF, the report will be displayed on the PDF correctly. just strange.

Copy the CrytalReportViewers12 folder from your development computer to the \aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727 in the IIS default website.
If you are using ReportRefresh, comment that out.
Try a different Browser like Firefox.
Are you browsing from the work station or from the Server? Can you try it from the Server?
Try a new test app. Run a saved data report (Crviewer1.reportsource). Do not use sessions or postbacks. Does this test app work?

Server errors result in blank pages with security enabled

I have been working to security-enable my ADF 11 application using JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.0. Users, roles and grants all appear to be working as expected. However, I have discovered that server errors no longer appear once I put security in place.
For example, take a simple JSPX page with one button, and attach an actionListener to the button. In the actionListener, throw an exception. When no ADF security is in place, this results in a 500 server error page, and the exception stack trace (or part of it) is written to the Weblogic console inside JDeveloper. Once ADF security is in place, the behavior changes. The result is a blank page (absolutely no content). Even worse, the exception stack trace is no longer written to the Weblogic console.
I have tried to work around this by setting an <error-page> in web.xml, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I do know that my <error-page> configuration works in general, because I have a "not authorized" error page set up to catch the ADF AuthorizationException, and that is displayed properly. I have also seen the error page invoked for errors that happen earlier in the rendering process (for instance, if I forget to set a default page in my bounded task flow).
I don't have any idea where to start on this. Google hasn't been much help, possibly I don't know what I'm looking for.
Anyone have any suggestions?

We have found a solution to this problem, which we are going to go with until something better pops up.
In the main unbounded task flow (adfc-config), we added a method call marked as the error-handler. In the method call, we log the exception, something like this:
    public void handleException() {
        Exception e = ControllerContextImpl.getInstance().getCurrentViewPort().getExceptionData();
        e.printStackTrace(System.err);
    }Then, the method call forwards to a JSP to display the error:
<af:inputText label="Error" value="#{controllerContext.currentViewPort.exceptionData.message}"/>That gets us the equivalent of the old behavior.
I still find it kind of strange that errors aren't displayed once security is enabled, but at least there is a workaround.

Second master page displays as a blank page

Hi,
just wondering if there is a work around for the following scenario:
I have two different master pages (1 & 2) that are used to create two different page standards. I have two body pages (A & B ). Page A is placed on master page 1 and Page B is place on master page 2.
Depending on the type of data that comes into the form, I have two possible scenarios that will be rendered. For one user, I want to display and print body page A & B. For a second user, I want to display only body page A.
The problem arises when, for the second user, I hide body page B, however, an unwanted blank page appears on the form. This is a result of having two master pages, and not having subforms present on one of the master pages.
So, is there a way to render a form that has a master page with no subforms so that I don't see this extra page.
OR, a way to determine if a page is blank so that I can avoid printing it.

I found an example that stops a subform from rendering if there is no data. See: Program Files\Adobe\Designer\EN\Samples\E-Ticket
However, all of my subforms have data, it is just that some is not relevant to some people.
I just found a solution that works ok. I set the relevant property to "-print" for the appropriate subForm.

Blank Page at the end of generated PDF Document

Hi,
my problem is that ADS is generating a blank page at the end of my report.
I fill the ADS with a template and an XML stream.
The XML stream contains multiple orders. Each order has several detail data. It is a requirement that every order object has to appear at a new page.
XML structure:
- Order
-- Group1
--- fields of Group1
-- Group2
--- Fields of Group2
My template looks like this:
- body page subform: Order (Default binding: $record.Order[*]; Repeat Subform for Each Data Item: yes; After: Go To Next Page)
-- subform1
--- fields of subform1
-- subform2
--- fields of subform2
Because of the "Go To Next Page" at the Order subform a new page is rendered each time an order ends. This leads to the blank page after the last order is processed.
Does anyone know how I can suppress the blank page at the end of the document?

Blank Page with JSF 1.1.01 RI and Tiles

My web pages have been rendered without any problem using JSF 1.1 and Tiles with Weblogic 8.1 SP3. But it can't handle multiple forms within a page. So I upgraded JSF to version 1.1.01 RI. I only get blank pages since the upgrade.
Does anybody have the same problem? Any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem with Tomcat 5.5 and tried both 1.1.01 and 1.1.02. I used both JSF RI 1.0 and 1.1 with no problem on JSF with tiles, but because of the known bugs in 1.1 I had to use 1.1.01 or later which doesn't work nicely with tiles. Does anyone know how to fix this in Tomcat?

Dreamweaverctrls.dll blank pages

Any page that registers dreamweaverctrls.dll renders blank. the dll is out there in the bin folder. regsvr32 throws "entry point not found". Any solution or, what can I try?

When i login to a website, it loads then gives me a blank page ?

I can view a page regularly, like everything is normal until i go to log in. I get a blank page as soon as the page loads, and this happens to many websites. Ive tried searching in safemode, editing my firewall settings, removing cookies, disabling plug-ins, clearing history/cache, but i've had no luck so far. Anyone have any solutions ?
I notice that every page i load includes ".php" in the URL bar.

How to remove blank pages from WebI Report in view page layout option

Hi,
I am working in Business Objects XIR2 environment. I have a WebI report with several sections. I need to show the report as a book with 69 sections (each section on new page). there are 69 sections on cost center and each cost center section has almost 10 sections embedded in it. When i see in regular view - I only see 69 pages but when I try to see in "View Page Lay out" option, there is one blank page added after each results page.
Please let me know how to remove this blank page. I need to give users the option to download the book as PDF on to their machine. Now, when I download to my machine, I see one blank page after each results page.

Jus convert your report in Page Layout mode and see if your first pafe is getting expand in the second page.
Now check if there are any cell going into second page.
- if there are any blank cell which is there after table.
