IE Version's Can't Play SWF

Hey guys,
I'm putting an swf on a website and it's working great except for IE. (Although it works great in IE 9).
In some versions of IE it will start to play then stop as if the video was never load and in others it
will just go white.
It works great in other browsers, just our favorite browser IE seems to screw it up (big surprise).
Any idea's?

maybe the author took some steps to ensure the swf would play
only if loaded from his/her website.

Hello, I'm using CDHtmlDialog in our application to play swf that shows user how to do a workflow. It works fine if swf does NOT have audio; if the swf has audio component, then it does not play.

How do you play the swf file in a html. I tried play a swf file with audio in my CDHtmlDialog class. I just use this:

Quicktime 7.41 can´t play swf (leopard)

I have a problem with quicktime for mac. It is not possible to play swf-format. With tiger it was possible.
So, I can´t use swf-files in a keynotepresentation. With quicktime for windows it´s no problem.

I have the quicktime mac version 7.4.1 and leopard version 10.5.2. All software is up to date.
I heard that under quicktime 7.4.1 there is no flash support.
For me it is very imoprt to use swf under keynote and I think it is only possible to use it with quicktime or is there any solution?

I'm ashamed to report this as a life problem, but....

Okay, I got it to sort-of work. I had to rename the filename extension to .mp4 instead of the default .m4v that gets exported from QuickTime Pro. And I had to change the filename extension AFTER it was FTP'd as Finder won't let me change the extension on the desktop.
Apple obviously drops the ball once again with QuickTime.
QuickTime is one of the cornerstones of Apple yet it's treated so poorly it's incredible. All of my QuickTime movies that were set-up previously with QuickTime Reference Movies to automatically push out the correct video formats for desktop or iPhone are broken because of a change Apple made. So I switched to Flash videos instead because of this blunder.
QuickTime VR is pretty much dead.
QuickTime X is crap with no Pro version.
And now iOS kills .m4v files. Good going Apple, way to hurt your base of content developers. Funny thing is...Flash videos years old still play while Apple keeps breaking QuickTime.
This does not inspire confidence if you really want to get rid of Flash.

Hi ..my english is not good.. I have a problem.. i have test quiz on a site .. the quiz is on swf file.. and i can´t open the file .. i see only the logo from the Flashplayer and the number 9 (yellow).. what is the problem?

Are you trying to read a Flash 8/9/10 content with a Flash Lite 3.1 player ?
This is not possible.
The swf file has to be compiled in a "Flash Lite 3.1 SWF" or you won't be able to read it on your Windows Mobile 6.5 phone.

How do I export an iMovie to a high quality version that can be played on a pc

Ok here's the stitch- I made a short project (about 2:30) and exported it to a m4v high quality video. It was about 54 mb and the resolution was great on my pc. however, I edited the project and when I exported it again it ended up as a really low resolution mp4 video and was only 3.9 ish mb. How do I get convert my iMovie to a high quality m4v video or other high quality file for a pc?

Ps I have a toshiba laptop and I made the imovie on my Mac desktop at school (and I don't know which model/year iMovie and Mac I have)

I play Pirates of the Caribbean Online, but for some reason, after downloading the 4.0.1 version, I can't play it anymore. After allowing and clicking Install, it says I have to restart. When I do, it stays the same (just as if I have done nothing) and I repeat it all over again with no progress. Please, help :)

I have a PC with 3 accounts in Windows XP: administrator, advanced user and guest user. I have too, two internet browsers (internet explorer and Mozilla Firefox). In administrator account, flash player and shockwave runs perfectly in both browsers, BUT in the other two accounts, I can't play SWF files in Internet Explorer. In mozilla it runs perfectly too.
I have reviewed the internet settings of Security (custom level -- ActiveX settings) and they're exactly as administrator.
I have installed flash and shockwave again. I have unistalled and installed later. I have installed from advanced account AS administrator and the problem persists...
I don't know what to try next...

What if my SWF loads external content from an online server?
Not only does the current flash player prohibit such activity, it doesn't even pop open an error anymore saying there was an error connecting to an online source.
Normally, I would simply drag the SWF into Flash and all connections would go through. I could see traces, errors, and experience no issues.
Now I can't even do that. So what then? You have crippled a fundamental use of the program, but THANK GOD we have that deco brush that nobody asked for.
And for the record, the nature of my work benefits from not necessarily allowing the Flash Player to connect to online content. The error it pops up? That's simply another method of error checking that I require. Updating the Flash Player options is not an option.
Why would you even remove this key feature from Flash anyways? It's been there for years ... has the ratio of people importing SWFs (a rather useless gesture in an increasing OOP world) really outweighed the people using Flash as a testing environment that much?

I have the iPhone 5 and have with 6.0.1 software version. Although I had them when I moved from iPhone 4 to the 5, the latest update has most of my songs on the phone listed in grey (over 95% of them) and I can't play them. They are still listed though.

P.S. When I look at my Playlists most of the songs are greyed out. However, at the bottom of the list there is a cloud icon with a downward facing arrow. When I click on it each song starts to "load" and after a few minutes I have the songs back on in the list. I have to do this to all my playlists (I had over 100) in order to get access to all my songs. Then I did a sync and it happened again!
I use iCloud for documents and some other things (calendar, contact, etc.) but am not aware that I have anything music-wise in the cloud. Any thougnts?

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

HT1222 I just updated iTunes to the latest version and now I can't play more than have of my songs. Says it can find it and then leasds me to locate it. I don't know where to look. Help!!!

I just installed the latest Apple TV software update today. I can still play music from my iPhone 4 to th eATV but purchased movies don't seem to start playing now - or else the buffering time is huge compared with the previous software version. Any fix

I installed the latest software update on our Apple TV - this allows us to access VIMEO. However, although we can still play music from an iPhone 4 we can no longer play purchased tv shows - unless the buffering process has been extended to be glacially slow! It just shows it is loading but under the previous software release a show would start in a minute or two, nothing is happening afer 4 or 5 minutes with this one.

Can you confirm that Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library is checked in the iTunes Edit menu > Preferences > Advanced tab > General sub-tab.
If not, check it and go through the "Add file to library" procedure one more time.
