IE video link problem

I am being challenged by IE one again. I want to have a
simple hyperlink from one button that will launch an avi file in
whatever the default viewer is from the CD.
This works perfectly in Firefox. The code is attached.
I guess my next step is to take this out of dreamweaver
switch over to visual studio and see if it can fix it there.

Video Linking Problems

I seem to have an issue with videos not keeping their link once the Keynote file is closed. I created the Keynote file on my laptop, move it to a hard drive an when I open it on my G5 tower most of the videos are a mess (and actually on my current project the same problem happened across 5 Macs). Either they turn into a colorful static or it will substitute another video (which usually has some strange effect to it).I've encoded all of the video the same, with imovie HD, and created a DVPro Quicktime.
Once you relink the Quicktime, things are fine but it is becoming a real pain.

MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR, Mouse problem & Video off problem solved!!!

I find the following information that I collected very interesting at the very least...
Here goes...
The video off problem that I was having was directly linked to the mouse. Here, let me explain the video off problem. In the BIOS Have the Standby mode set to S3. The problem occurred when I started windows, then went into standby, then started back up, then restarted the computer, the monitor would act as if it were in sleep mode, or rather there was no signal being sent to the monitor. Well the odd way I fixed that is by plugging in a standard 2 button PS/2 mouse. Also this fixed the issue with the mouse sometimes not working in windows.
Here is how I tested.
Logitech MX700 Cordless Optical Mouse, PS/2 & USB= failed.
Logitech iFeel Optical Mouse, USB= failed.
Microsoft Cordless Ball Mouse, PS/2= failed.
Standard Artec (Cheapy brand) Ball Mouse (With no wheel), PS/2= All issues fixed, and passed.
When I said failed I do not mean they didn't work, I mean they sometimes didn't work and also caused the Video off problem after restarting the computer.
Obviously it isn't the ports (PS/2 or USB) that are the problem, it is more like the mouse itself, and the amount of buttons in particular. As you can see above the only mouse that works correctly is the one that only has 2 buttons, the rest has 3 or more buttons along with a Wheel. The MX700 has 8 buttons + wheel, WOW!
Anyways I figure out it was the mouse, and not the memory.
Obviously MSI needs to make a patch for this mouse problem.
I'm still having a hard time believing that the mouse caused the video not to work, but it is true! I spend well over 5 hours testing this crap. Every time with the mice with more then 3 buttons it messed up, and every time with the 2 button old fashion mouse it worked flawlessly!
MSI, get to work on a new BIOS to fix this mess!!! :]

LOL, that isn't what I'm talking about.
There seems to be a problem with my motherboard accepting mice with more then 2 buttons. It works the first time, but if you restart the computer, the video goes off. If you have both installed, it still messed up.

I am using ALSA and Icecat. When I play any html5 audio/video it works, but the next time i click on another audio/video link I lose sound.

I am using Parabola (a fork of archlinux), Icecat 31.4 and ALSA
Icecat and firefox seem to hold onto the soundcard when I click on a new html5 audio/video link in the same tab. The next video/audio element loses sound. If I wait 10 seconds and click back to the start of the audio/video, the audio returns. I often get cpu spikes for icecat when it happens.
I have tried this with both motherboard and usb sound and I get the same problem. I have disabled extensions (addons) in Icecat, deleted profiles, reinstalled the browser and even installed firefox from the AUR and it still occurs.
I have disable gstreamer in about:config and restarted and it still occurs.
My .asoundrc is this:

slave.pcm "hw:0,0"
All my other audio applications work. I have noticed that if I use pulseaudio it fixes it, but it should work without anyway, like it used to. I think something happened after an update, but I'm not sure.
Any help would be appreciated. I know it's not a big problem, but it's really frustrating and I've had it for ages. I even switched browsers to get away from it.

Since you are seeing issues with ogg files and moving video/audio combination I started to dig into file formats {sox http://sox.sourceforge.net/soxformat.html}
For ogg would the file format affect the "raw"?

What browser do you use?
Where do these videos link to? (e.g. youtube)
What happens when you click on a video link? Saying "it doesn't work" doesn't really tell me what you are seeing to be able to accurately understand your issue.

Open youtube video link from gmail in new tab instead of same page?

Hi came back t fox after 3 years. Yesterday after 1,2 months of using a standard action was changed. I was in my gmail clicking on youtube notification to open video in next tab.
While it was late FF asked me would I like to stay on page or leave it - I chose stay. Now when I want to open video links from gmail it opens in current tab - I failed with research on my own, hence asking community.
btw browser.link.open_newwindow is set to 1.

For a laptop user it is essential to use only pad - for me late at night I would like to open youtube link in new window, one hand wihtout ctrl key, then double click to close tab not finding that tiny x.
This reminds me that problem comes from TAB UTILITIES addon -although I think mentioned notification is built in from gmail or fox.
Currently my about:config settings
browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external
browser.newtabpage.storageVersion
are set to 1
And it works as I wanted - so far.

Equium A100 - s video link has not functioned

I have an Equium A100 running Vista (home edition).
In the past I have happily had my PC linked to a TV using an S video lead to view TV programmes, dvds etc.
However recently my computer had to be reset to the original factory settings and since that time the s video link has not functioned - the PC wallpaper shows on the TV but nothing else.
I have loaded what I hope are the appropriate latest drivers (perhaps source of problem) and the display settings appear to be correct.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Please enter display settings/properties and be sure this option is disabled.

Video Link using iSight on MBP

Hi folks, I have a dilemma.
I am trying to get a live video link up and running for a wedding.
The service is going to be in one room and we need a video screen in another room for the overflow of guests to be able to view the service.
I am currently trying to use the following to no avail.
isight camera on 1st gen 15"MBP 2.16G with 2GDDR2 SDRAM or MB Core2Duo (Black), It doesn't matter which camera we use, they both work fine. Both machines are fully up-to-date with all patches on OSX v 10.4.10
Airport Express base station for connecting the computers wirelessly (on which they can file share etc with no problem).
I have tried various things using QT Broadcaster & QT / VLC with many different configurations, none of which enable me to view a live video stream.
I am currently downloading DarwinStreamingServer to see if this will help.
there must be a way to do this, can anyone shed any light?

If I understand your postings correctly, you are not having problems with your iSight.
Rather, you are asking for help with QT Broadcaster and Darwin Streaming Server. If you need more help than you find in the "Help" files for these applications, see Apple's QuickTime "Streaming & Delivery" tutorials.
If you need still more, try posting your question in the QuickTime for Mac OS forum.

Wireless video link example works with antenna only but not with SMA to SMA cable

I am trying to run wireless video link example https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-22728 . It works fine if I use install antennas on my Tx and Rx USRPs. But it does not work if I use SMA to SMA cable to connect Tx and Rx USRPs. Can somebody guide me what is the reason why it is only workng with antennas but not with SMA to SMA cable.

I connect the 30 dB attenuator at RF input port of Rx USRP. But it does not work completely.
Without connecting attenuator i was not able to receive any thing on my Rx VI although it shows waveform. But after connecting attenuator receiver some times receive text messages and some times not. Also it does not work at all for images and for video it works partially but gives some error related to memory full after few mins.
I want to know why this example works completely without any problem if I use antennas, and why it does not work perfectly if i use sma to sma cable for connecting transmit and receive usrps.

Another Flickering Blue Screen: When clicking on Video Links

Ok, so i recently took my computer into the apple store to have my screen replaced because of a discolored spot. when i got it back i saw on the receipt that they replaced my motherboard because of an accidental damage.
that was about a month ago. it's been working fine since then. but today i found out that when i was on facebook and listening to itunes, i clicked on a youtube like someone posted and i got my whole computer to flash a blue screen (like when it's starting up) and then it took me back to my desktop in about 4 seconds with all applications closed and just starting up, almost like it rebooted my computer in a matter of 4 seconds.
i thought it was itunes, so i turned it off and clicked on the same link on facebook. same thing happened.
so i thought it was that one link. so i clicked on someone else's youtube video link. same thing happened.
so i thought it was facebook, went to a website (engadget.com) and clicked a link to a video they had uploaded. same thing happened.
but it's only when i click on the link to go to another page of a video. if i clicked on the embedded video it would play fine.
so i took a video of this happening on my cell phone just so no one knew i was crazy if it randomly would stop happening. and sure enough, i restarted my computer, and it all went away now, so i can't recreate the problem.
i don't use any external monitors ever, and i know that's been the issue for many other people on the forums with this issue.
do you think it was the motherboard being replaced? or is there something else it could have been?
i can provide any details you may need to help determine any issue

Adobe Illustrator CS6 (Windows 7 64 Pro) File Save Anomaly - video link included - HELP?!

When I save a Illustrator file, all my toolbars blink, flash, and turn 'black'.... and the files take an unusual amount of time to save. I have inlcuded a video link so you can see exactly what it is doing...
Wondering what is causing this, and how I can fix it.
The file shown in the link is 64 mb.... and has about 4-5 Photoshop placed images.
I have Extensis Suitcase Fusion 4 installed.... someone said that might be an issue???
I believe all my system fonts are intact..... at least Fusion shows them as 'protected from deletion.'
Illustrator crashed a lot too and I have no choice but to 'Close the Program.'
Any ideas?
System has a Intel i7 920 processor, 12 gb ram, dedicated GeForce GTX 660 video card, and speedy hard drives..... what the heck is causing the chaos?

Does it also occur when all other applications (including browsers) are closed, so nothing can interfere or disturb and confuse Illy?
I believe the toolbar strangenesses may simply be owing to the effect of Illy struggling to save with heavy use of RAM.
I wonder whether one of our forum staff friends may contribute an explanation, and maybe even a cure (when they return (it is Saturday afternoon over there, and Sunday morning with them)).

Dynamic Link Problem beim Batchencoden???

Habe seit kurzem folgendes Problem: Exportiere ich mehrere Videos über den Media Encoder, habe ich bei fast der Hälfte der Filme "kaputte Videos" entweder nur an den Effekten oder beim kompletten Video. Rechne ich die Filme einzeln raus, ist alles ok. Das stinkt sehr nach Dynamic Link Problem. Ich kennen das z.T. schon in der Zusammenarbeit mit After Effects. Hier rechne ich meine Projekte erst, bevor ich sie in Premiere reinhole. Aber auf das Batchencoden kann ich nicht verzichten, da ich teilweise 30 und mehr Clips in verschiedenen Formaten rausrechnen muss und das wirklich nicht einzeln erledigen will.
Frage: Hat jemand ne Idee (das Problem existiert erst seit kurzer Zeit), ob da irgendwelche caches vollaufen, kann man dynamic link irgendwie "resetten" oder muß ich das ganze Production Premium Paket CS5.5 neu installieren (wollte ich eigentlci vermeiden!!!!!)?

Operator error. Answered my own question. I haven't used Dynamic Link much. It works fine. I was momentarily confusing the import of a PP project vs. a Dynamic Linked Sequence.

Adobe Reader won't read video links in e-book

I've downloaded several training ebooks. These books are designed to be used with Adobe Reader. They have links in them to training videos. However, when I open these books in Reader 11.0.2 the video links in the book do not appear. Others who have these books and use a Macbook Pro like me say that it works fine for them. What do I do? I need to use these books badly for training.

Video rendering problems

Photoshop CS6 stops working while rendering a HD Basic video. I am using windows 7 32 bit with photoshop CS6.

4 GBP ram and 300 GBP free spac on the hard drive.

Opening video link in iMail

I can longer open video links when sent as and attachment on iMail, eg, youtube links, I have been able to do this in the past without any problems, double click and they open in Firefox. I have quicktime, flip4mac, wmv. I now have to save the link and paste into firefox or Safari. Any ideas would be appreciated.
