IE10 windows 8

im unable to open pdf in browser and cannot located setting in adobe xi settings or in browser settings.....enhanced protected mode is disabled and plug-in is enabled....help....?

There are two browsers available with Windows 8 or 8.1. The Adobe plug-in only works with the older Windows MSIE browser. The Windows 8 metro browser does not support the Acrobat or Reader plug-in.
You can differentiate these browsers by where the browser bar is located up top (old MSIE) on the bottome (newer metro type browser).

  • Flash content in browser dialog is not getting rendering with IE10 - Windows 8

    Hi,
I am trying to launch window popup dialog. The dialog points to HTML page which loads swf file.
Everything works fine but in case of IE10 on Windows 8, the flash content is not getting rendering inside popup dialog.
I have verified that .swf file loads but it is not showing its content. If I close the dialog, the flash file conten get diaplay for a moment.
This isssue occurs if I open dialog using showModalDialog or showModalessDialog. Works fine if popup opened using window.open.
Reiterating again - this issue occurs only with IE10 on Windows 8. It works fine otherwise with IE10 on Windows 2012, Firefox on Windows 8 and on both browser in rest of the windows version.
Look at it get the clear idea - http://youtu.be/SupJYZoLk5I.
Requesting you to share your idea.
    Thanks,
    Prithveesingh.

Firefox does not use the same version of Flash as Internet Explorer, you need to download and install the version of Flash used by Firefox.
Using Firefox go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download the installer, then run this file to install Flash.

  • SharePoint 2013 IE Bug - IE10 Windows 8 - 'Open in Explorer' and disappearing tabs

    Hi,
As stated in my title, I'm having an issue with SharePoint with the 'Open in Explorer' tool.  In reality, I can't use it because I can't get to the correct tab.  When I go to a document library, and then click on the 'library' tab at the top of
the screen in the toolbar ribbon, the entire toolbar ribbon disappears with all the labels! The word 'library' is even gone.  Not sure why this is, but it is definitely a huge inconvenience at this point.  Any instruction on this would be great!
    Thanks,

OK, just tested this on my HP Touchsmart 520-1030 with Windows 8 Pro RTM and got the driver to install using the following steps...
    1. Download the "NextWindow Voltron Touch Screen Driver" from here
    2. Run the sp54627.exe driver download package (but don't select "Proceed with the update?" when prompted)
    3. Go to the temp extract folder location (e.g. under c:\users\username\appdat\local\temp\xxxxx.tmp)
    4. Go to the "src" folder, right click on "NextWindowInstall.inf", and select install
    6. Go forth and touch away on Windows 8

  • Issue w/ new Laptop and Flash in Windows 8/Firefox 23

Maybe someone can help me with a similar issue.  I am running Windows 8 64 bit, firefox 23.0.1 on a brand new Asus laptop, 3rd gen Intel I7.  I currently have Flas 11.8.x installed and enabled as well as shockwave.  Some pages that seem to use Flash, like Google Play, work just fine.  However, others do no display any content.  They do not display the crash logo (w/ the sad fave lego block),  I get only a blank (white or sometimes black) space.  If I right clock on this space, I get a greyed out option displaying the message "Flash movie not loaded" and an enabled button that read "About Flashplayer 11.8.x".
For example, Yahoo Fantasy Football draft room will not load, neither will the flash test video at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html.  I tooke my computer back to TigerDirect for them to take a look at it, and while the Tech there said he didn't know what to tell me, he also said he was sure it was a software issue.  That being said, my GPU is Nvidia geforce GTX 670MX.
I have also tried to run Firefox in compatibility mode in WIndows 7 and XP, and in both these instances, with updated flash, I at leas can get a "Flash Has Crashed" graphic in the instances that flash is not displaying. I have also tried loading flash in IE10, Chrome and Opera to the same issues.   If anyone has any help, please let me know.
p.s. sorry for the double post, thought I should create a new thread for this.

You don't need to install Flash Player on IE10/Windows 8; it's already preinstalled.

  • Flash Player not working in IE 10, Windows 7 64 bit version

My system is Windows 7 64bit version with IE 10.  Adobe Flash Player will not work in IE 10.  I have tried an unistall and a clean install with no success.  I can hear the video but not see it.  I also have Mozilla Firefox installed on my computer and Adobe Flash Player does work with it.  This has been going on for about a month.

Here is solution I used for IE10, Window 7 64 bit:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie10-windows_7/ie10-says-adobe-flash-player-is nt-installed/d3c1eda6-cabc-4ca5-b4d9-dcba0c3aaad5
    1. Internet Explorer> Tools (or Alt + t)>Internet Options>Programs>Manage add-ons (Show: All add-ons) verify that the Shockwave Flash Objects are enabled.
    2. From Safety on the IE Command Bar (you may have to right-click the IE menu or IE toolbar and enable the Command Bar) uncheck ActiveX Filtering.
If that helps, it would be safer to re-enable ActiveX Filtering and make an exception for the affected sites. See this article:

  • Was it a mistake to uninstall Flash Player from Windows 8?

I have a Lenovo Y580 Laptop with IE10 windows 8.  I was not able to view embedded videos on websites and searched the problem online.  Somewhere I ran in to information about glitches with Flash Player and Windows 8.  I found instructions on how to delete Flash Player files from Windows 8 using a combination of the steps on the websites below.  Now I am able to view embedded videos but I don't understand exactly what I did/whether I will have issues in the future due to deleting Flash.  Now when I type in the search box for Flash Player it shows a Flash Player 32 Bit Flash Settings Manager.  Im confused as to what I deleted and what the cons to this may be as  I am not super computer savvy

    Hi,
Flash Player is integrated with Internet Explorer in Windows 8. It's unnecessary to install or uninstall Flash Player.
Since you have uninstalled, you may want to look at this document for reinstalling Flash Player: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html

  • Flash Player not displaying menu options on Windows 7 computer

I am having problems with two of the websites running Flash Player -- esthergrayphotography.com and frascoimages.com
Both of these websites worked fine on my old Windows XP computers.  I recently bought a new Gateway computer (Gateway FX6860-UR20P desktop) with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.
When I opened these websites on my old computers, they had user selectable menu options at the bottom of the page.  On the new Windows 7 computer, none of these user selectable options appear, although if you run the mouse over where they should be, the mouse pointer will turn to a hand and you can click there and the option will open.
I have tried everything that I can think of but have been unsuccessful in getting the new Windows 7 computer to show these user selectable options.  I have tried to uninstall and re-install Adobe Flash Player (both the 32 bit version and the beta 64 bit version).  I have tried Internet Explorer (both 64 and 32 bit versions), Firefox and Google Chrome.
For your information, the new computer has the following hardware / software:
    Intel Core i7-2600 3.4 GHz
    8 GB DDR3
    1.3TB HDD
    ATI Radeon HD6750
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on how to get the user selectable menu items to display properly?  Thanks.

  • Singing in to BT Broadband, using IE10, where is t...

Every time I open Internet Explorer, I now have to log in. What has happened to the "keep me logged in" tick box which used to be displayed on the log-in panel?

    Richard1506 wrote:
I tried to correct the title - you wouldn't want to hear me sing- but I couldn't, so apologies for that.
Thank you for your welcome note.
Previously to yesterday, I had a tickbox on my log-in page which would keep me logged in to BT Yahoo services for 2 weeks, only having to log in that frequently. Now, I have to log in every time I open my hompe page, which is set as http://home.bt.yahoo.com/. On my iPad, I do not have this problem, whick makes me think it is actually a problem with IE10 & Windows 7. Whenever I close IE10, I get a box telling me that Internet Explorer has shut down unexpectedly, and Windows is looking for a solution. This only happens when I close the last window, otherwise, I can open as many as I  want with no log-in or shutdown problems at all. Maybe I should revert to IE9.
    gg and Richard.
For some inexplicable reason I have BT.com set in compatibility view. (Compatibilty view allows older websites to diplay correctly.) Perhaps that explains the behavioural difference.
It may have ben left that way after attempts to block the survey popups and cookie warning popups.
however I don't use BT Yahoo as a home page.

  • Office 2013 & IE 64-bit: BAD combo to use with SPS (2010 & 2013)

Few weeks ago I have installed Office 2013 in my office Win7.  Since then, whenever I click on a document in SPS 2010, it’s open TWICE!
I was very annoyed because when I had Office 2010, I didn’t have this problem.
After some search, I found that I’m not alone because some people have a similar problem with SPS 2013.
After some intensive tests, I have found out the cause of the problem: IE 10 which is implicitly in
    64bit!
Let me be clear, if I have the following combination, I have the “doubly open” problem:
    Win7 Pro 64bit + OS domain joined + Office 2013 64bit + IE 9 or 10 64bit
If I have the following combination, I have NO such problem:
    Win7 Pro 64bit + OS domain joined + Office 2013 64bit + IE 9 32bit
I have no idea if other combinations would lead or avoid my problem.  If anyone is interested to narrow down the combination, he’s welcome to do so :)
The current solution is to downgrade IE 10 to IE 9 in order to have IE in  32bit.  There is no solution if one has to keep IE 10.  Hope this post of mine could help others in the same situation of me and hope Microsoft developers
    quickly fix the bug.

    Hi Horinius,
Did you try to use IE 10 32-bit for this issue?
In 64-bit Windows 7, Internet Explorer 10(IE 10) has 32-bit and 64-bit together in one browser now. If you turn on “Enhanced Protected Mode” , you will have 64-bit tabs by default for IE 10, and vice versa.
For avoiding  your problem, you are able to enable 32-bit for IE 10.
Here are some articles for you to take a look:
