IE10 Windows7 - iTunes opens maybe 3 times and then it thinks i am a new user. I ge the license agreement again. Apple SR Techs cannot figure it out. Does this have to do with IE10?
Windows 7 - installed IE10. Now every few times iTunes is opened I get the 'user license' agreement as if i am a new user. Apple SR techs have been working with me for weeks and have NOT solved this problem. i have a iPhone 4S, but this happens before I even plug in. Can you help? Also, second question:
Also, I have two apple accounts (mistake) and apple says that they cannot delete the invalid one! When I finally can get on iTunes it asks if I want to merge or replace - I am told to do neither (i am syncing by plugging in the 4S to my computer - i have Outlook). SO... right now i am unable to sync. SR Tech says having the 2 accounts is not the problem - actually - 2 techs said it was and 1 says it is not. SO frustrating! Is there a way to resolve this?

Not so sure about the suplemental question, but see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for tips to make sure you don't lose content from the device.

You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.

On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.

My laptop has crashed and I'm in between getting a new one but need to update my iOS on my iPad, is there anyway of doing this without a laptop or computer?
If you can't update via wifi, you can use a friend's computer, or an Apple store will do it for you.
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

I am using the pen tool to clipp an image. Sometimes when I apply the mask WITH NO FEATHER it still appears to be feathered? Does this have to do with Anti-aliasing?

I just downloaded i-tunes on my new computer because I want this one to be my main computer used with my i-pod. When I plug in my i-pod mine shows up, but my music and all my previous purchases aren't in the new computer so when I unplug my i-pod everything goes away and there is nothing. I am wondering how I get all of my original music and purchases that are on the other computer I was using with my i-pod onto this new computer. That way it shows up even if I don't plug my i-pod in. Does it have to do with homesharing? I have it on, do I need to turn it off from the main computer? I just everything in this computers i-tunes music library, not just my i-pods music when it's plugged in. Can someone please help, I don't know why this is so difficult.

Given that PostScript generated by a driver can be highly device-specific, you need to install the driver as modified by the PPD file for the device in question. Most printer manufacturers in fact provide a PostScript driver installer that associates their printer's PPD file with the standard Windows Printer driver and subsequently creates what is called a PostScript printer driver instance for the particular device on the I/O port you designate. = ??? I've only updated a PPD file for watermarks and have no idea what this means...is there a step-by-step instruction for this? I just need to download a PS driver to select that works & doesn't freeze up my FM when creating a .ps file.
The real question thus is exactly what are you trying to generate PostScript for? = I create a PS, & then use Distiller to create a PDF. This enables me to have a PDF that automatically has Bookmarks, the TOC/LOF/LOT & all corss-refs are hyperlinked, etc.
If you are trying to create PostScript for distillation into PDF, Acrobat installs a PostScript driver instance of its own, labelled Adobe PDF, that is associated with the Acrobat Distiller PPD. = I have tried the Adobe PDF selection from my Printer menu in FM, but it freezes up FM and I have to close the whole program & no PDF generates.
BTW, although you may be successful in installing and running FrameMaker 8 on Windows 7, in fact Adobe officially does not support FrameMaker 8 on Windows 7. = I don't know what to say---the upgrade is too expensive for some of us folks out here right now, so we all need to work with what we have for now!

I had previously purchased a DVD disk from Amazon. I did get the program to install today. However it continues to loop back to the screen where you accept the licensing agreement. I had lost the previous serial number and was given a new one by Adobe.
After trying over and over again to install the version from their download, I purchased a new copy from Amazon. I am still getting the same loop on the software where it asks you to Accept the Licensing Agreement. Short of reformatting my hard drive and starting with a clean PC, I have no idea what to try. Is the previous software installed somewhere? I had uninstalled it prior to downloading and installing the new software. Any help is appreciated!I'm going to try reinstalling Windows 7 and installing the software that way. I've reinstalled it before so am not concerned about taking that step. If I need further assistance, I'll add a reply. Thanks!

Itunes opens by itself and plays music at random hours. I was awakened in the middle of the night.
Does anyone else have this problem? I actually talked to an Apple support person who laughed and said "is this a Halloween joke?" It is not a joke, I am so annoyed by this behaviour of itunes that I will have to uninstall and go without if it isn't solved. I have tried all sorts of things, I have uninstalled 3 times now, waited a few days and reinstalled a new version but it continues to happen. The other annoying and insulting thing itunes does is not only open by itself but then constantly post warnings that I am not authorized to play my music. This is not music that I have purchased but have burned off my own collection of CDs which I think is perfectly legal.

My Mac Mini runs iTunes all the time, so the Apple TV's in the LAN can play music stored on the Mini. Normally, I don't play music directly from iTunes on the Mini, but many times I have logged in to the Mini only to find music playing when it should not be. I pause the music, and then sometime later it starts playing again on the Mini, seemingly all by itself. This has been going on for some time, and a real puzzle. I've tried various remedies, including making an empty playlist and opening it on the Mini in iTunes. Nothing I tried had worked, so I just turned the iTunes volume completely down, and lived with this "ghost in the machine."
It so happens my Mini lives in a media closet where one of the ATV's also lives (on the same shelf). My devices in the media closet are controlled via infrared transmitters inside the closet which, in turn, are controlled by RF via the Logitech Harmony 900 in another room.
It never occurred to me that the infrared signals sent to the ATV were also being picked up by the IR receiver in the Mac Mini (which I never realized existed and was turned on by default). I disabled the IR receiver on the Mini, and hallelujah! No more iTunes music mysteriously playing on the Mini itself inside the media closet! -
I dont really understand it its really weird its like the box was like login so then i just put my password in not too sure on if it was the right password so i tried all the passwords that i now i only use and then it didnt really make much of a difference it just happened to come back up again and again and again.
Im confused and i clicked the i forgot my password button a hundred times too but the box just kind of went away and didnt pop back up again i dont get it and i really want to chat with my friendsHi,

If it is an @mac.com name you can change the password here at Apple's iForgot site.
Keep the new password to 16 characters or Less for use with iChat as the AIM servers that you connect to cannot cope with larger ones.

Recently while on vacation I tried to use my IPad Mini to watch a movie down loaded from ITunes and could not. Initially I get flashing white lights across the TV monitor I was using so a group of us could watch the movie, Wreck It Ralph. A few minutes later I was informed that the TV was not an acceptable viewing device. Why? How do I avoid this going forward?

Right-click the menu bar, select '''Customize''', you get a box of icons.
First, check the box '''Use small icons'''. This saves a few pixels of screen height.
Hover the mouse over the menu bar, and the cursor will change to a hand symbol.
Drag the bits that you don't want into the box.
While you're there, you can consolidate the two bars into one by dragging the items in the lower bar up to the upper one until it is empty. then right-click the menu bar and uncheck the empty one. This saves a further 20 more pixels of screen height.
