IE11 Developer tools missing menu

Hi,
I'm trying to use developer tools in ie11 on my home pc.  I use it in ie9 every day at work.
Where are the options to clear the cookies, cache, etc.  I don't see any of that stuff.
-Eric

I wasn't able to see the IE11 Developer guide link at the top and bottom of the forums like you said.  I searched around and found the IE 11 Developer Guide.  Here's a link to the IE11 Developer Tools part for anybody who reads this in the future:
IE 11 Developer Tools
It doesn't look like there is any way to clear the cache, cookies, etc. with the IE11 Developer Tools the way there's been in every version of the IE11 Developer Tools that I've used since IE6, I think.

  • Missing preferences, tool bars, menu items after receiving CS3 file while I have CS2

    I have Indesign CS2. I rec'd a CS3 file not knowing it was CS3. A message appeared as follows:
Cannot Open. Please upgrade your plugins to the latest versions, or upgrade to the latest edition of Indesign.
I went into HELP, Configure plugins. Chose "all" and "required" plugins. I then clicked ok and it said "All plugins available when you restart application" and it still wouldn't open. Then I was sent an exchange version of the same file and it still wouldn't open. I received this message:
Cannot open. InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing or the file may be open in another application.
After this I wasn't able to get my CS2 screen back the way it was before. There's no introduction when I open the program, my tool bars aren't present, and the menu items aren't as extensive as they were before.
It was then suggested I reinstall Cs2. I logged in under the administrator. CS2 was different than the way I had it before but the tool bars were present. I then logged in under my name and there are still problems;no tool bars, missing menu items, no intro, etc.
    I then tried rebuilding my preferences using these instructions;
The fastest way to do this for InDesign CS2 (and any CS2 program) is to quit the program, then hold down Command-Option-Shift-Control immediately after starting it up again, and keep those keys held down. (On Windows, hold down Control-Alt-Shift.)
If you mashed on those keys quickly enough, youll get an alert when the splash screen appears offering to Delete InDesign Preferences File?. Click Yes, but dont release the modifier keys while you do so, because youre going to get a second alert to which you should also click Yes.
Now you can release the keys and InDesign will complete the boot-up process with fresh, clean Preferences.
Nothing happened so my program is still missing preferences, menu items and toolbars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Operating System Windows XP Professional
    Dell Precision 360

First, you need to realize that resetting preferences will put them back to ground zero, not the way they were the last time you were happy.
You can try the key combination again and see if you are any faster (we're talking near instantaneous) or you can open your user profile, show hidden files and folders and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 4.0 and rename the two files InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData.
In your case, a better first option, I think, would be to try System Restore which you'll find in System Tools under the Programs > Accessories heading on the start menu. Go back to the first restore point before you tried to open the file, if you can.
In any case, for you to open a CS3 .inx file you will need to be fully patched the the last CS2 update, and you should expect to see some text reflow issues, as well as missing any CS3 features that the author used which aren't supported in CS2.

  • Missing SDK in CommandLine Developer Tools for 10.9 Mavericks

I'm trying to install some programs and while configuring it seems SDK is missing in CommandLineTools for 10.9 Maveriks.
N.B.: Using Xcode works fine but it is 4.5 GB and I really don't need all of it. CommandLike Developer Tools from the description seems to be what I need but SDK is still missing (the description says it includes OS X SDK).
    Any suggestions?

I don't know. All I know is that with Xcode works and with CommandLine only I get this
configure: no OSX SDK found at /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/Ma cOSX10.9.sdk
By the way I solved my probem using a precompiled version of the program I needed.

  • Where is "Tools Resize" feature in Internet Explorer 11 (F12 Developer Tools)?

Please tell me I'm missing something...
In previous versions of the F12 Developer Tools for Internet Explorer, I could easily resize the browser window to a specific size (e.g. 1024x768).
However, after upgrading to IE11, I cannot find this feature.

    Hi,
you can create full resolution screen shots and scale them in your web pages by using only the width rule of 100% to the containing block element.
    <div style="width:50%">
    <a href="link to full resolution image" target="_blank"><img alt="screen shot" src="link to image file" style="width:100%;border:none"/></a>
    </div>
I use ifranview to capture screen shots and resize and compress the image to my requirements.
If latency or client screen size is an issue I will create two images... a thumbnail and a full screen image and use the design pattern above to link to the full resolution image in a new window.
or for HTML5/CSS 3 aware browsers use the CSS flexGrid with media queries.
    see also
MSDN - Scaling images for different screen resolutions
Please post questions about html, css and scripting for website developers to the IE Web Development forum... Include with your questions a link to your website or a publicly accessible mashup that shows the issue or what you are trying to achieve.

    Hi,
The newest and default version of Eclipse is Galileo which is version 3.5.x
According to the Widget development guide, widget developer tool covers Eclipse 3.3.x (Europa) and 3.4.x  (Galileo).
The problem is solved by downloading one of those versions from http://wiki.eclipse.org/Older_Versions_Of_Eclipse and installing widget development tools.

  • Question on pl/sql developer tool

    Hello,
I'm trying to debug a package using pl/sql developer. It looks good but the variable defined in the package are not showing their value even in the debug mode to see what they hold at that particular instance.
    How to achieve this?
    Thank You.

PL/SQL Developer is not an Oracle tool.
Post your question on the PL/SQL Forum @ http://www.allroundautomations.com/threads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm
If I recall correctly you have to set a Debug checkbox somewhere in the Tools => Preferences menu.
(But I cannot check it at this moment).

  • Developer tools download for jaguar 10.2.8

    Hi folks,
Tell me have I missed something but I've been trying to find a download of the Developement Tools for Jaguar on the Apple site and have failed.
I know that it was released as a CD version with the installation CD set for Jaguar. I know that it was also available from Apple as a download. I also know that starting with Panther it was renamed Xcode. However the Developers download site does not seem to have any software covering the years 1998 to 2006. Does the download I want still exist on Apple's site - but I have not stumbled on the right place to go ?
Perhaps the guys at Apple can point me in the right direction please?

It is obvioulsy in demand from the three requests here, but like you mhview, I have had a good look on the Developer site and I can't see it either. The earliest I found was the first version of Xcode for 10.3.9. which does not satisfy your wishes. You won't get an offical response from Apple on this forum, we are simply users like you, so I can only offer you my thoughts that's all.
That leaves hunting for a secondhand copy online somewhere. You mention CD. I have a 10.2 DVD which came with Developer Tools on disk. I mention this as another possiblity for you to acquire the software, through acquiring the correct grey install disk if you have old hardware to match it.

  • VS2008 developer tools tableadapter functionality

    Hi,
I have use VS Developer Tools in VS2005. I used to be able to create tableadapters. I have upgraded (I thought it's was an upgrade) to VS2008. I miss the drag and drop functionality of the Oracle tools I had with VS2005. My database server is 10g R2. I have uninstalled everything Oracle, and installed the VS Developer tools for 10g, then for 11g and followed the directions to remove the policies for the 11g Oracle.DataAccess.dll in the GAC. I can successfully create a connection, and I can filter, but when I try to add a data source, it won't let me create a tableadapter, whether I use the wizard, or create the dataset first and then try to add one via the query window - it just hangs the IDE and I have to force it to close. I'll freely admit I'm not an Oracle expert. I don't see a lot on the forum about tableadapters. Is everyone just coding everything by hand, or am I trying to do something that the VS tools won't do?
    Thanks
    Bruce

    Thanks, Christian.
Other software I have installed which accesses oracle database:
    Crystal Developer XI R2
    Oracle SQL Developer 1.5.4
I'm back at it today, we've one of our staff out sick. I can't understand what could possibly be taking so long. I can expand the tables tab of any schema with Oracle SQL Developer in just a few seconds. Any table schema expands almost instantly. I can pull data from the database (enough to populate a screen-sized data grid), nearly instantly.
I do not have any problems accessing tables or schema in Crystal Reports.
In Visual Studio 2008, I am using .NET version 3.5 SP1, AND Version 9.0.30729.1 SP of the IDE. In server explorer, I can connect to the 10g database right away, and removing all filters except displayed schema = CPR to show a single schema, I am able to expand the list of tables for this single schema in approximately 8 to 10 seconds. By checking the box, disable this filter in every schema object type except tables, I was able to speed this up to near instant, however, dragging a table from the server explorer to the schema designer still does not pop up the table adapter wizard. I'm sure if I wait 20 minutes, it will work though.

  • More 401 error help with developer tool

Ok so last night I posted about getting this 401 authentication error whenever I tried to download the SDK.   I fixed my problem by creating a new developer account.   That let me download the sdk.   Now this morning when I'm ready to try some sample code from the SDK I can't seem to stay authenticated in the developer tool at https://afcs.acrobat.com/  or https://cocomo.acrobat.com/.   Any time I try to do something like download the sdk again, or add a room it tells me I'm not authenticated.   If I refresh the page it asks me to login again.
I've tried this with flash player 10 in safari, firefox, and ie.   Then I downgraded to flash player 9 and tried again in IE.    Has anyone else gone through this?   Is there just something simple that I'm missing here?
    Thank you,
    Eric

Wow thanks for the fast response I really appreciate it.   I used
HTTPLiveHeaders to capture me going to https://afcs.acrobat.com.   Then I
logged in as [email protected]   After I was logged in I clicked on the
download sdk link.   I've attached the header results in a file.   I don't
really have an afcs applications yet I just started this yesterday (although
I've been doing a lot of flex development).
I was able to download the sdk once when I create a new account and once out
of the many times I tried to login today.
    Thanks!

  • Odd Startup behaviour and cannot access tools- options menu

As of this morning my installation of LV8 will not display the normal startup dialog box (allowing you to open existing VIs or open a new one), but simply opens a new VI immediately.  If I close this new NI then again instead of returning to the start up dialog it opens a second new (blank) VI.    Furthermore I cannot open the Tools->option menu from within a VI front panel.
I've tried repairing the LV installation and when this didn't work I went for a full remove and reinstall - still no joy!
I've also check that this is not user specific, so that when I log in as a different user on the same PC I get the same behaviour
    Help - please !!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi AMHurrel,
    This sounds rather strange.
Did you change anything on your setup?
When you say you did a full remove and reinstall, how?
These are the steps I would follow:
The following procedure will remove the National Instrument Software:
    1.     Turn off the computer and physically remove or unplug all NI hardware that you have installed on your system.
This includes anything that is PCI-, ISA-, USB-, 1394-, or ethernet-based.
    2.     Turn the computer on and go through Add/Remove Programs (START » SETTINGS » CONTROL PANEL » Add/Remove Programs)
and remove everything NI-related. Generally, if you can remember, it is best to uninstall things in
the reverse order in which they were installed. For example, if you installed LabVIEW, then NI-DAQ, and then the
Internet Developers Toolkit for LabVIEW, you should uninstall the Internet Developers Toolkit first,
then NI-DAQ, and then LabVIEW last.
    3.     After everything has been removed (do not be concerned at this point if an item still shows up in the
Add/Remove Programs list after you have removed it), close all programs and restart your computer.
    4.    Go to START button of your operating system, choose RUN and type "regedit". This will open the Registry
Editor window. Go to the Registry Menu and choose Export Registry File. Select "All" for the export range,
and select a file name. This creates a backup of the Registry in case a mistake is made when deleting the keys.
    5.     Remove the following registry components from the Windows Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments Delete the entire tree!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\National Instruments Delete the entire tree!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\ or \ISA and delete registry entries containing any
        keys with 1093 in them.
Do not worry if any of these trees are not listed. Continue with the remainder of the process .
Note: You may need to modify security policies. In Windows 2000/98/95/NT, go to [regedt32] then
Security>>Permissions. In Windows XP you can modify security options using Edit>>Permissions in the
        Registry Editor (regedit).
    6.     Close regedit.
    7.     Make sure that you do not have any of your own VIs or other files saved in the "C:\VXIpnp",
"C:\Program Files\National Instruments", or "C:\WINDOWS\nidaq" folders. If you do, copy them to a
different location. If you are concerned about keeping old virtual channels and your SCXI setup intact,
then backup the "C:\WINDOWS\niconfig.daq" file, too. Delete all folders and files mentioned above.
Note: If you have Windows NT/2000, replace "C:\Windows" with "C:\WINNT" in the paths listed above.
    8.     Save the attached file msiBlast.zip to your desktop.
        a) Extract the file msiBlast.exe from the zip archive.
        b) Double click on the downloaded msiBlast.exe file to run the executable.
    c) Choose the Show NI Installers Only selection.
    d) Using (Ctrl+Left Mouse Click) select all National Instruments Software that appears in MSIBlast.
    e) Press the Uninstall button. This will uninstall all of the National Instruments MSI Registry entries.
    f) Optional:
The Repair option will open the National instruments Installer Program and run the repair option within the installer.
Maintenance Mode will open the Installer Program and allow the user to modify the installation. To open the installer do not enter anything in the Command Line Arg? Dialog box.
    9.     Reboot your computer.
    10.     You should be ready to install your software. For the cleanest possible install, first install all of your
application development software, such as LabVIEW, Measurement Studio, etc. Do a custom install, so that you can
install just the application WITHOUT ANY DRIVERS. Reboot your PC when requested after each install.
Even if the installer does not tell you to reboot, it would probably be a good idea to do so anyway.
Now install your driver software and follow the associated user manuals. Some older non Plug-n-Play hardware
must be installed before the driver. Download the latest versions of the drivers that support your hardware
from our Drivers and Updates software library (link below), and install them one-by-one, rebooting after each
        install.
    11.     Finally, shut down and re-install your hardware. When you boot back up, it should be detected in MAX.
