IE11 icloud Calendar icon

Hi All,
I'm just setting up my main Windows PC with shortcut links to the Start Screen tiles I've added iCould into these links so I can access my iCalendar and stuff quickly - however the icon for the calendar in iCloud is messed up. I have a feeling it has to do with a zoom level or a font setting, but I can't figure out what. Only happens with this one icon. Can anyone help?
Cheers,
Kefrif

  • My iCloud calendar icon shows jumbled numbers on my PC

My iCloud Calendar icon shows jumbled numbers on my PC.  What does this mean?

I think you might need to experiment with different levels of zoom. It might depend on your resolution. I found if I zoomed out too far, a slightly paler area appeared at the bottom of the screen. If I zoomed in until this just disappeared (and no further) the numbers displayed correctly. Again, you may need a refresh to get it to work.

  • Icloud calendar icon garbled

    Just switched computers to:
    Win 7 64-bit
    XP mode enabled
    Firefox 26
    Display = Medium (125%).
After researching, the following attempted fixes were tried with no luck:
    cleared cache and cookies
    hard refresh
    made changes to about:config
Any other suggestions, or is this a bug we have to wait on for a fix?

  • "" instead of Emoji icon on iCloud calendar

    Dear Apple Community,
my first question is: Apple, are you kiding me (us)?! The problem is, after 2 weeks, still there! Just swich that Emoji option "on" again. That's what you have switched "off" the last iCloud Server Problem, isn't it?
Well, since the "iCloud: Calendar and Reminders - 03/14/2012 17:00 PDT - 03/16/2012 15:30 PDT" (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/systemstatus/) server problem some Emoji icons aren't anymore supported by an iCloud calender.
F.ex.: If my girlfriend creates an event at her calender, which is open for me (via her iCloud account - I use my own iCloud/iTunes Account) with an Emoji icons in the title, I see this "", instead of the Emoji Icons. This happens f.ex. with the "Fork & Knife"-Emoji Icon. The "Heart"-Emoji Icon is shown correctly.
I also found out that if iCloud pushes the new created event to my iCal (on my Mac) or to the iCal of my girlfriend (on her Mac) the Emoji icons are also replaces by this "" sign. o.O
After all, the old events, who was created before that iCloud Server still have their Emoji icons. Only new created events are affected. (After a switch on/off of the iCal in the iCloud on my Mac, all the old events now have also the "" sign.)
Note: The events are always shown correctely on the device on which they are created. F.ex. if I create the event (with an Emoji icon) on my iPhone, it's shown correclty on my iPhone, but on my girlfriends' iPhone or Mac and even on my own Mac it has this "" sign. Really strange.
P.S.: I already feedbacked it to iCloud Feeback. (http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html)
If you have the same problem, it would be good to feedback it!

  • I am trying to share 3 iCloud calendars, but I do not see any options when I click on the Share icon.

I have several calendars on my iCloud, and I want to share 3 of them with my wife. I am using Safari 6.0 on Mountain Lion (10.8), and when I go to my calendars on iCloud, I see all of the calendars listed in the left column. The three I want to share already have an active Share icon (green), although I do not recall sharing these calendars in the past.
When I click on the Share icon beside each Calendar, it shows that the calendar is shared with myself. There is NO OPTION in this window for unsharing, or adding my wife to the share, or making them a Public or Private Calendar. The only option is a check box that allows me to decide whether to receive emails alerts when something is changed.
I currently see all of my iCloud Calendars on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac Powerbook (running Mountain Lion). I share them with no one else. I have three Calendars that I do not want to share, and they have the options described in the Online Support, but the three I want to share with her give me NO OPTIONS.

I should clarify that I am using a MacBook Pro, not Powerbook (if that's the proper nomenclature).

  • Calendar Tile on Windows 8.1 displaying incorrect date for icloud calendar but date icon displays correct date on iPhone 5 and iPad Air

Calendar Tile on Windows 8.1 displaying incorrect date for icloud calendar but date icon displays correct date on iPhone 5 and iPad Air.  Date on Windows 8.1 is correct.  Thank you.

Try doing  a reset on your phone. Sounds like your carrier's time set is not getting through to your device. If the reset doesn't do it, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. That should do it.

  • Can't see month view in iCloud calendar

When I click on the month view tab at the bottom of the iCloud calendar screen, nothing happens. For that matter, clicking on the day tab doesn't do anything either.
As another annoyance, in the week view I see the weeks events that were brought in from my Mac, but going to the next week shows no events. HELP!

I am having the same problem. It started when the month view was not available. It took me a long time to figure out that when I minimize the month view, it shows up on the dock as a teeny tiny icon. When I click it, nothing happens. When I go to Week View then my calendar shows up. NOW though, my week view has disappeared and now I'm only left with DAY view. The same exact thing happens in Week view. I have no window, nothing to "grab" that I can possibly see to get it back on my screen. BUT it will be a teeny tiny icon when it's minimized.
The only thing I can think of is that I'm a tech teacher using a projector and my laptop changes resolutions with different software programs. I have had iCal open when the resolution has had to change. The only thing I can think of is that somehow that did something to the window and I can't get it back.

  • HT203521 In iOS8 I can't turn off shared iCloud calendar alerts. I share iCloud calendars with 3 others and am constantly getting their alarms for upcoming appointments. Settings- Notifications- Calendar- Shared Calendar Changes turns off changes only.

Have had new iPhone 6 for 2 months, using iOS 8.  I share iCloud calendars with 3 others and I am getting bombarded with their upcoming appointment alerts.  There seems no way to turn this off.  I went to Settings->Notifications->INCLUDE(Calendar)->Shared Calendar Changes and turned everything off, but this only blocks alerts about new events or changes to events being added to the calendars, it does not block the 5-minute/10-minute/etc. alarms that go off immediately in advance of the appointment.  There used to be a setting in iOS7 in "Mail, Contacts, and Calendars" way at the bottom to turn off alarms from shared calendars, but I don't see that in iOS8.  Any ideas?

Finally figured this out when I read jodiemcneill 's post about Google calendars.  Thanks!
Reposting the basic idea: to turn off event alerts from shared ICloud calendars, select the Calendar App, then click the "info" (i.e., the circled red 'i') icon next to the shared iCloud calendar to be silenced. Go down to "Notifications" and turn the slider off for "Event Alerts: (Allow events on this calendar to display alerts.)"
For good measure, you can also turn off the slider for "Show Changes" to prevent the calendar from displaying messages when shared events are added/modified/deleted, although this can be done "globally" for all shared iCloud Calendars in Settings->Notifications->Calendar->Invitations (turn off all sliders, click "none" for Alert Style).
This has been a major pain in the ... neck ... for the past 3 months.  So glad to start the new year with a suddnely-much-quieter iPhone 6.

  • Calendar icon corrupted on laptop(win7andiphone 4s)

The calendar icon is corrupted on my icloud panel on my laptop (win 7 and iphones). I tried reinstalling icloud on pc..no help..suggestions from one with moderate knowledge(not novice nor expert). Suggestions? Thank you.

Yes, to sync with iCloud on your Mac you will need to upgrade.
You can certainly upgrade to Mountain Lion but OS X Mavericks is due out within the next month so it may be worth it to wait. In the meantime you can access your iCloud contacts, calendars, etc... from iCloud.com. Sign in with your Apple ID.
Here is more info on Mavericks: Apple - OS X Mavericks - Do even more with new apps and features.

  • ICloud calendar will not allow delegation

I am trying to share a calendar with my wife who is on another appleid. Following the instructions on the iCalendar Help it said to go to
    Calendar-> Preferences & select Accounts.
Then select the calendar account to share which I did.
When I clicked the Delegation tab the window indicated
The server doesn't support delegation for this account.
Is this some iCloud setting I need to change? Or ...?
I'm fairly new to using iCalendar on a computer (rather than via iOS iTouch).

do you have calendars checked in your icloud preferences?  if not that may be the issue.
also here are the steps for sharing an icloud calendar:
You can give people read-only or read-and-write privileges to shared calendars. They can access your calendars using Calendar (on a Mac with OS X Mountain Lion, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch), iCloud Calendar at www.icloud.com, iCal (on a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.2 or later), and Microsoft Outlook.
On OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later, place the pointer over the calendar’s name, and then click the broadcast icon.Or, click the calendar’s name, and then choose Edit > Share Calendar. If you don’t see your calendars, click Calendars.
Select whether you want the calendar to be private or public.
If you make the calendar private, only the people you invite can see the calendar. To share the calendar with someone, on OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later, enter the person’s email address (or contact’s name), and then press Return. To change the person’s access privileges, click the triangle next the address (or name), and then choose an option.Or, click Add (+), and then enter the person’s email address. Select the person’s access privileges in the Privilege column.
If you make the calendar public, the calendar is read-only, and anyone with the URL can subscribe to it.To share a public calendar with someone, on OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2, either enter the person’s email address (or contact’s name) or click the Share button next to the calendar’s URL.Or, hold down the Control key, click the calendar’s name, and then choose Resend Invitations.
    Click Done (or Share).
try these steps and should resolve the issue

  • Calendar icon always has notification circle w/ it?

When I log in to icloud.com the Calendar icon always has notification circle w/ it in red on the home page. I have notifications OFF for calendar on all my devices. The notification only show up on icloud.com and not my devices. Any one else having this happen?

Everytime I log into icloud.com the homepage Calender icon has a red cricle w/ the number 1 on it. I do not have any notifictions on for Calender on any of my iDevices.

  • Icloud calendar wrong date

On my laptop, when I log into icloud the calendar icon shows a hybrid date, stuck between today and tomorrow.  When I click on the icon, the calendar (which is in month view) does show "today" as the correct day, burt the page never stops loading unless I click on the x to stop the page loading.  It doesn't affect my calendar, but it is annoying.  Anyone know how I can fix this?  I have a Macbook Pro running 10.6.8 and an iPhone 4s running 6.1.3.  The icon on the iPhone shows the correct date and is not screwed up. TIA!

    Kevin,
I'm not sure what that is occuring. I would check some basics like the date is set correctly on your system. Look in System Preferences - Date & Time. However I think you should also post in the iCloud forum, you may have some success there.

  • ICloud Calendar Birthday Additions

iCloud is driving me nuts with birthdays.  I am guessing birthdays I had in contacts when I first set up my iCloud worked fine because I see the little birthday icon on my Outlook, iPhone and iPad.  However, I can't get new ones on into my Outlook iCloud Calendar without doubling them on my iPhone and iPad.
If I enter a birthday for a contact on my iPhone or iPad, it syncs them to both devices, but does not put them on my iCloud Calendar.  If I put the birthday in my contacts in Outlook on my iCloud contacts, it puts it on my Outlook calendar, but not my Outlook iCloud calendar.  It does, however, put the birthday on my iPhone and iPad calendars.  If I then copy it over to my Outlook iCalendar, it then puts a second birthday on my iPad and iPhone calendars.
This is driving me nuts!!!  Anyone?

I have the same problem anybody found out how to resolve this issue yet?

I have no more calendar synchronization with iCloud. when accessing to icloud account I cannot add an event on icloud calendar the message is :"server error"; any help?

Tap the little claendar icon at the top left (next to the search icon) and see what calendars are set up in WeekCal.  If none are enabled, then enable the one(s) you want to use.
